I love Christina Lauren’s writing styles! It always feels so fresh and spunky and refreshing! Also, I want to be Anna when I grow up!
The Paradise Problem was one of the best books I’ve read in a long time. For me, it was a sit-down and read until you’re done book. I couldn’t wait to find out what happened next. The characters made you want to cheer them on and the plot was a good balance of drama, detail, and some steam from the main characters. I would recommend this time and time again. A definite don’t miss!
Setting, character development, storyline, ending- loved all of it. The relationship between Anna and her dad created a perfect contrast to the difficult family dynamics of the Weston’s.
I love a good RomCom and this one certainly did not disappoint. Family drama, relationship of convenience, happily ever after. I devoured this book.
Has there ever been a Christina Lauren that WASN’T five starts??? They really can’t miss. At first, I’ll be honest, I was nervous about this book. Anna didn’t seem to be my cup of tea. She was really quirky, and at first, hard to connect with. As time went on I grew to love her and the side that she brings out of Liam. I’m obsessed with how unconventional they are. I love them and this book so much. I need another about Jake! Obsessed is an understatement.
I really love Christina Lauren bookstand The Paradise Problem is no exception. A fake marriage/relationship trope isn't always my favorite but Christina Lauren really makes their books so fun and the tropes just work. I'm a sucker for a book in a beautiful background and much of this book takes places on a dreamy private Indonesian island.
Anna and West were characters that were easy to root for and developed well through the book. The ultimate romance book conflict- the believability of which really makes or breaks how much I enjoy the book- fit into the narrative; it made sense within the plot and pushed all the characters forward.
I wish I could see Anna's paintings- they seem incredible. I'll be recommending this book to my friends and rooting for a Jake sequel.
I loved this book by Christina Lauren. Begins with a fake marriage, end with falling in love. Lots of family drama and romance kept me loving this book!
The dynamic duo has done it again. I can’t think of a book by them that I haven’t enjoyed and The Paradise Problem has jumped straight to the top of my favorites. This book has everything I’m looking for in a romcom: marriage of convenience, forced proximity, grumpy/sunshine, opposites attract. I loved the setting of the book. It was the perfect place for the couple to fall in love. I can’t wait to read more by CLo!
It’s a Christina Lauren! They’re so good at what they do!
In The Paradise Problem, West & Anna are married for logistics - he only got assigned family housing in grad school, and she needs cheap rent. Five years later and reuniting with his family for the first time since then, West visits Anna to get her to come to his sister’s wedding. As his wife of five years. Because they never got divorced.
Come for the fake dating & falling in love, stay for how nauseous the characters get at the obscene displays of wealth from his family.
Smart, funny, well written, and overall just a really fun romcom that draws you in.
-Marriage of convenience with bit of a twist!
- Forced proximity on the tropical island of your dreams
- Great banter
- Loved the sister-in-law (I pictured Kathryn Hahn from Step Brothers the whole time 😆)
Really enjoyed this! Pub date May 14th
Thank you netgalley and gallery books for an eARC of The Paradise Problem by Christina Lauren
This author duo writes some of my favorite romances and The Paradise Problem just made it up to the top of the list with some of my other favorites! Romance layered with family drama, I couldn’t put this down! Easily 5 ⭐️
This was another excellent Christina Lauren book. At first I wasn’t sure about the premise, but I quickly fell in love with the main characters and loved to hate the villains of the story. I’d definitely recommend this for any romance lover.!
Thanks to NetGalley and Gallery Books for the early reader of this book.
This was such a cute book! Read like a funny, sweet rom com movie. I couldn’t put it down. Imagine if Crazy Rich Asians and The Proposal had a baby and then turn it into a compulsively readable book. One of Christina Lauren’s best.
Thoroughly enjoyed this romp through gorgeous paradise. I loved the premise and although some things were a a bit unbelievable, I loved the development of these characters into what I thought was a very good and real relationship. I felt like they were two good people and sometimes that's missing.
Christina Lauren's 'Paradise Problem' is an absolute delight, weaving a captivating tale of love, self-discovery, and unexpected adventures. The authors masterfully blend humor and heart, creating a story that keeps you hooked from the first page to the last. The characters are vibrant and relatable, making it easy to get lost in their world. With its witty dialogue and charming narrative, 'Paradise Problem' is a feel-good read that leaves you with a warm, satisfied glow.
It’s been a while since I’ve read a romance that kept me up till 2 am and this one was it! I loved loved the angst and tension between these characters!
Most of the story takes place in a private island. It centers around Anna Green and Liam/ West Weston who get married during college to take advantage of family housing. But then find themselves having to fake their marriage so Liam can have access to his inheritance.
I liked that this wasn’t just a Rom-Com but also had alot of side characters some you loved and some you absolutely hated.
The FMC Anna had me laughing so hard at her one liners. And West Weston….. please read about him for yourself! It’s a true rom-com. Easy, FUNNY, and a quick read. It also gave Crazy Rich Asians / Pretty Woman vibes.
The reason I give this 4 stars instead of 5 is because there were some parts where details were being explained that felt a little long. But still a great read.
Christina Lauren books never fail to be a fast , fun read for me! I zoomed through this one, fell in love with a few of the characters and overall enjoyed the experience. I will say that it was not my favorite of their books, and the storyline with the privileged billionaires and the theme surrounding the haves and the have nots left me frustrated. I could tell they were trying to have an element of social commentary on the current state of a few people having so much while the majority can’t even afford to pay bills but I feel like it missed the mark. Mainly because the love interest is part of the problem, and doesn’t change. He still gets his HEA & is a happy little billionaire and that gave me the ick so I had a hard time looking past that. If you’re a huge fan, I still think you’ll enjoy the book but all in all this was a miss for me as a longtime reader of CL books.
Utterly and completely loved Chistina Laruen's newest. Liam is just a totally unforgettable character and I was so sad when the book was over and I had to return to the real world. Bravo!
I loved this one! Would def watch if it was a movie! I loved the FMC Anna so much and also Liam was amazing too.

I loved everything about this book. It is quite possibly my favorite Lauren novel, The novel was predictable in some ways (the relationship between West and Anna), but at the same time it had a mysterious element when it came to the family and what would happen with his inheritence. The characters were funny and honestly made me feel like poeple I've known before. Love it!!
