This is such a great take on fake marriage / marriage of convenience. Anna and West had a deal to be married for a year, then go there separate ways. Things didn’t go as plan and West enlist Anna’s help 3 years later. Honestly I don’t want to give more than that since the small twist at the beginning are what sucked me in. Highly suggest for fans of Christina Lauren’s previous work, or fans of Emily Henry or Abby Jimenez.

If Succession and Romance had a baby, it would be The Paradise Problem. Rich people problems are some of my favorite stories to read, and this did not disappoint. Thank you, Christina Lauren, for another hit! Thanks to netgalley for the ARC!

I was expecting another man uses women to trick family into thinking they were together plot but this hook had a lot more than that. Christina Lauren is always able to tie everything up in a neat little bow by the end of the book. This will make a great summer read in 2024.

This was by far my favorite Christina Lauren book. I really enjoyed how, although there was some miscommunication, it was all vocalized and wasn’t frustrating as a reader.

You just can't go wrong with a Christina Lauren book 😍

You generally know what you're going to get when you are reading the fake dating trope. The Paradise Problem does not disappoint.
The setting was beautiful- A private island in Indonesia. I loved the description of this natural island based on conservation and the dissonance of the over the top indulgence and gluttony of the wedding. CLo can really paint a picture.
The characters were fabulous and really felt like real people (that I'd like to know!)

A must read for rom-com fans!

Thanks to Netgalley and the Gallery books for an early copy for review!

I absolutely love Christina Lauren! I always feel connected to the characters so quickly, and this book is no exception. Anna is a struggling artist and West(Liam) is a wealthy trust fund kid who doesn’t want the family that is attached to the money. What’s the connection? They were married almost 5 years ago to get access to “family housing”, and now need to convince his family that their marriage is real in order to claim the full inheritance. The book is dripping with sexual chemistry, and the spicy scenes are HOT. Every scene, sexy or otherwise, paints a picture in your mind with beautifully written details. I read this book in under 24 hours because I just couldn’t put it down. I can’t wait for CL’s next book! Highly recommend!

*A sincere thank you to the author, the publisher, and NetGalley for providing the advance copy of this book in exchange for an unbiased review.*

Christina Lauren does it AGAIN! This romance was full of summer vibes and will be the perfect beach read. I loved the chemistry, the banter, the humor and the setting. I thought this was a fun play on grumpy vs. sunshine and marriage of convenience tropes. Thank y0u Atria and Netgalley for my copy!

This was such a fun book! As with all the CLo books, the characters were very real, human people and I felt by the end of the book like we wanted to be friends. I love that one thing constantly mentioned in this book was the wealth gap and how insane it was, and no spoilers, but the ending made me really happy. I also like that after the third act the falling action and resolution didn’t feel rushed, but instead felt complete. Another winner from Christina Lauren!

First, thank you to NetGalley and Gallery Books for this ARC of The Paradise Problem by Christina Lauren.

If you like Christina Lauren, a good marriage of convenience trope, and know what it is like to live like a normal person with real problems, you will enjoy this book. The eat the rich vibes were delightful, and I couldn't put this one down.

Christina Lauren did it again! These two create characters that I fall in love with every single time. This book has a very “Pretty Woman” feel without the prostitution! Liam and Anna are faking being married so he can receive his inheritance and they have to fool his family at his sister’s lavish wedding on a private island. What they succeed at is making the reader fall in love with their banter and antics! This one is fantastic! 5 stars!

I would rate this a 4.5. It pulled me out of a reading slump and I finished it in 2 days. Loved the island setting and pretty woman references. Would love to see this in a. Movie.

This book was fantastic. I absolutely laughed out loud so often my husband stopped asking me what was so funny. I loved Anna and "West" who were first brought together with they married to get housing in school. Authors Christina Lauren employed marriage of convenience, forced proximity, and "oops there's only one bed" in delightful and hilarious ways.

One of the things I most appreciated is that no matter which fish-out-of-water situation Anna was involved in, she always retained a piece of her delightful self. I want to be Anna when I grow up.

Seriously, I cannot stress enough how funny this book is, yet the authors still tackled some deep issues. There was also a decent amount of spice in this open door romance.

I whole heartedly give The Paradise Problem five stars and can't wait to buy my own copy!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I have been in a reading slump lately, and this book definitely helped kickstart my love of reading again.

Anna and Liam were both very likable characters, and while others have said that the story was hard to connect to because of the entitlement of Liam’s family, I think the family dysfunction is super relatable as is Liam’s compassion and how down-to-earth Anna is. The book kept me engaged the whole time, and the ending was wonderful.

I took off half a star simply because I was not a fan of the term the authors used for Liam’s asset.

Thank you, NetGalley, for the eARC.

The Paradise Problem by Christina Lauren offers readers a delectable romance filled with humor, heart, and unexpected twists. The story revolves around Anna Green and Liam "West" Weston, who, despite a divorce and diverging paths, find themselves in a fake relationship to secure a massive inheritance. The plot's clever premise sets the stage for a delightful exploration of love and the clash between social classes. Christina Lauren excels in creating well rounded characters, infusing them with humor and authenticity. The dialogue is sharp, and the pacing keeps the reader engaged throughout.

I LOVED this book….definitely my favorite by Christina Lauren thus far. This story took me a chapter or two to get into while trying to settle into Anna and who she started out as in life. But as the story grew and we encountered her together with West, I fell for both of them. Wes and Anna married in the most convenient way during college. Neither of them knew at the time that their marriage in order to get a deal on housing would lead to an almost 5 year marriage without a relationship at all. When he needs her to get through the last few months of a family stipulation, she agrees to attend his sister's wedding on a private island.
All of the proximity, hijinks and family drama that we crave ensue here. It's fun and easy to read. It's light but also heartwarming and steamy. I loved it.

I found this book to be really enjoyable. I tend to read romance as more light hearted books between heavier fiction and fantasy, but I was pleasantly surprised with the plot. I liked both main characters and I liked the family dynamic that was portrayed as a heavy plot point. Overall, the writing was great and the book held my interest.

Christina & Lauren are back! Though I will instantly buy ANY book these ladies write, I have to say honestly that The Paradise Problem is right up there with The Unhoneymooners and Josh & Hazel, two of my absolute favorites. We all have our favorite CLO books, and Paradise Problem is now right up there for me. I feel so honored to have gotten a chance to read it early - thank you Netgalley! I can now do what I do best: CLO readers' advisory. Our library already has holds for this book and I'm sure there will be many more to come.

I have never pressed the request button so fast! Christina Lauren are one of my favorite authors. I will read anything by them. I devoured most of this book in one sitting. CLo blessed us with all of the best romance tropes: marriage of convenience, sharing a hotel room, ONE BED, and all the forced proximity that comes with a fake relationship. The banter between Anna and Liam was so enjoyable to read. Plus, a beautiful, tropical island was the perfect romantic setting for this book.

I deducted a star because the last 20% of the book almost exclusively focused on the family drama. It felt like an entirely different book, and I wanted to read more about Anna and Liam finally being together.

I can't wait to buy a physical copy of The Paradise Problem when it comes out in May! Thank you to Christina Lauren, and Gallery Books for the advanced copy.

The Paradise Problem was delightful. It was exactly what I was hoping it to be- sweet and fun, not to say there wasn't some drama in the story. It had a mix of Crazy Rich Asians, The Unhoneymooners and Pretty Woman...since I liked all of those, this one is a no brainer for me. This is going to be a popular beach read for the right reasons. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher to the ARC.

I love these authors so much. I’ve read almost all of their books. This book was good but not great. The characters were fun and the second chance trope was well done. The banter was great. However I felt myself thinking the book just dragged a little.
