This book shows one of the reasons we never had a baby monitor with our daughters.
This is a psychological thriller and let me tell you my feelings where all over the place.
After reading this one I will definitely look into more of her books because this author can write mind blowing books that make you thinks that you have everything figuring out when you really don't have a clue.
I would almost dare to say that this one is perfect for fans of Freida McFadden.
How scary would it be if someone hacked into you're baby monitor?
I really thought I had this book figured I but I was so wrong! An unputdownable read from beginning to end.
How would you feel if someone you don't know or have seen calls your child through the baby monitor? It's hard for me to imagine.
This is my first book from the author and didn’t disappoint me. The plot and the story is fast paced which for my liking and before I knew it, I got hooked instantly for the book.
Overall, the ending was super gripping and I really wasn’t ready for it.
Loved it!
I never had a baby monitor myself, but could you imagine someone hacking into yours???? I very much connected to the main character, being a mother myself. I couldnt put this book down. Highly recommend.
Such a well constructed descent into fear and paranoia. It’s a situation as a parent that makes you constantly question what you’d do in those circumstances - tonnes of tension and an ending that lacks a perfect punch!

The Baby Monitor by Rosie Walker - 5/5 ⭐
Well ... I can't remember the last time I read a book that was not only completely addictive and captivating, but the NEED to finish it within a matter of hours because there's the unsettling aspects that make you WANT the answers. Like, now!
Honestly. It was a mind blowing, nail biting, heart thumping, hairs rising, utterly phenomenal book. The entire plot and story was exceptional. It takes a lot for me to give a full 5 stars and The Baby Monitor is the first book of 2024 to receive it.
I will be actively seeking out any other book by Walker, because her writing skill is utterly insane and ridiculously good!
Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for allowing me to read this ARC - this is an HONEST review from my own personal opinion.
So powerful!! Captivating and the end I highly doubt anyone will see it coming. I could not put it down. It had me in its claws.
Addictive and completely gripping…. This book is unlike any other I’ve read. This is gripping and beautifully executed. There have been moments where I’ve had chills.
This is one of those books that makes your heart pound. I’ve felt unease, tension and a real chill as I’ve read this.
I devoured this book in just one sitting. Everything about this book has been brilliant. I loved how caught up I was.
This is my first read by this author but it definitely won’t be the last. This has been superb from beginning to end.
I have no hesitation in recommending this book to other readers.

My thirst for domestic thrillers is never quenched!! Always looking for the latest psycho neighbour, mother in law, best friend, husband, nanny….. around!
This is one of the rarest of all domestic thrillers - the one where the burb does it no justice whatsoever! This was gut wrenching, psychological, heart stopping terror on every page! At one point, I was so tied up in knots that I could have believed I was the psycho stalking weirdo!! If I have to find a negative - and believe me it’s a stretch - is that I am not really sure I liked the ending, ending the way it did!! This was bloody brilliant from start to almost the end - and I guess the ending is left for readers own interpretation! Millions more like this please xxxx
Thanks to NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book. My anxiety levels were through the roof reading this! Well written with a building sense of claustrophobia it provided plenty of tension and twists right to the end.
This was a twisty read that I could not put down! I thought I had things figured out, but I was way off. As a mom, I was always terrified of baby monitors being hacked, so this brought those nightmares to life. The only reason I didn't give five stars is because I was left with a lot of unanswered questions after that huge twist at the end.
well this book had me hooked from the first chapter, when miriam hears the voice the first time it sent shivers down my spine and i couldn’t wait to know what happens. is miriam crazy is she hearing things… just what it going on!
a great read
This was such a great book! It had me on the edge of my seat riddled with anxiety wondering what would happen next!!
This was a creepy and well written book! I was actually pleasantly surprised to read this and really enjoy it. I honestly thought it was going to be alot like the other domestic thrillers I have read. But this was something new and different.

Wow! I have to start by saying I was not sure how I would feel about this book. The premise has been done before and I just knew that the outcome would be the same. Boy was I wrong. This was a powerful and edge of your seat thriller that kept me engaged from the first page until the last page. The characters were so well developed and perfectly set for this type of novel. You will not have a clue what is about to be thrown your way and there are no bread crumbs left out for you either. This is one that you will have to wait until the end to see what happens.
After becoming a mother, Olivia has started to believe that she is losing her mind. Atleast that is what it feels like anyway. There was a voice she heard on the baby monitor telling her daughter that she did not love her. Even her husband thinks she is just exhausted. However one day her daughter goes tumbling down the stairs and ends up in the emergency room with a broken bone, she knows there is something not right. Upon looking at the baby gate and seeing a screw missing, she knows something else is going on. Who could have gotten into her home? Little does this person know,Olivia is willing to go to extremes to protect her daughter and her reputation as a mother. But how far will she be forced to go? This is a gripping thriller that you will not want to put down.

Mim is exhausted. She just had her second baby and her husband is watching her closely. She had issues after her first baby was born and he is taking no chances this time.. so she Mim heard a voice through her daughter's baby monitor saying.. your mother doesn’t love you… Mim doesn’t know whether to believe her own exhausted ears.
Her husband doesn’t believe her and Liv, her 5 year old daughter, doesn’t want anything to do with her.. things couldn’t get much worse.
Her house is full of secret cameras and her husband doesn’t believe a word she has to say. Someone is messing with her life and no one believes her.. her psyche is fragile and she hasn't got the best track record.
Thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for giving me an advance copy.
What a book! This is definitely an edge of your seat thriller. The writing was great. It made me feel anxious to find out what was going on because I felt it was happening to me. To me, it felt like the author was trying to bring attention to post-partum depression, with a twist. If you are someone who enjoys psychological thrillers, give this one a try.
Kept me engrossed, made me mad at times, i was interested to see how it would end! I related with the FMC in the beginning days of motherhood and the feeling of splitting love between two children ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This thriller was crazy in every sense of the word! I couldn't put this book down after the 50% mark. I thought I had it figured out, but there were so many plot twists that I didn't expect. I just wish there was a chapter or two more as I still have a few unanswered questions.
