I can't believe it's book 11 already. All cases are different so I reckon they could be read as standalone books. The characters are well written and the pace of the plot has me reading long after I should stop for the night (didn't put it down until I'd read the entire book). There are lots of twists and I really didn't guess who the murderer was until the reveal. Hurry up book 12 as I need to know what happens to Morgan next!!

A simply riveting and compulsive page-turner of a read from cover to cover. A deftly scripted mystery with more twists and turns than a roller coaster.

Another fantastic read! Great book and series! This book had a bit of everything! It had high suspense, my poor heart is still pounding, Action packed, intrigue, mystery, murder, revenge, serial killers, a great who done it, great plot twist, great police work, and some crazy twists and turns! The storyline was very interesting and kept me glued to my Kindle!! I highly recommend reading this book as it was well worth reading! Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me! Awesome series! Can't wait for more!

I really love the covers of the Detective Morgan Brookes books. It would be a place I would love to explore. Save Her Twice is a solid mystery and suspense thriller. It’s book 11 in the Detective Morgan Brookes series and it still feels so fresh.

Save Her Twice had me on the edge of my seat while reading this story. I love Helen Phifer’s writing style; it’s engaging, and the author can unravel the story effortlessly.

A killer is intent on getting to survivors of crimes and Morgan knows this killer will never give up. To find him, she must relive every terrifying case she’s ever worked on. Somewhere in her history lies the key to saving more lives, but Morgan has no idea that this dangerous individual wants her as his final victim.

Some sad moments brought tears to my eyes (I don’t want to say too much as it will give away the plot and critical scenes of the story), but the writing is done so well that you feel like you are right there in the action.

I loved that one of the characters was mentioned as reading The Housemaid by Freida McFadden; that’s a good book, too! Bronte, one of the characters, states that she loves it when she gets lost in a book, as it’s the best place to be. I completely agree. And this book did that for me. I was able to just immerse myself in this story and mystery and forget the real world for a little bit.

This story showed the tenacity and the trauma of survivors of crimes. It was sad that they had to battle against a killer again.

I would highly recommend this book and this series. The author crafts an intriguing mystery that will keep you guessing, and the characters feel like old friends by the time you finish these books.

Another installment in this series, Morgan, a police officer is back with her boyfriend Ben and other officers looking for a vicious murderer with connections to her past cases. It is fine to read as a stand alone. It was a fast read, though the killer's motives at the end were not made clear, not to give any spoilers but he did something that seemed out of character.

mg !! First Thankyou NetGallery for a arc of this book. I literally stopped what I was doing to download it and get started and it did not disappoint!
I was on edge I was nervous so many emotions while reading! I didn’t want to stop. I adored Morgan and the whole team it’s lovely to catch up with them even if it’s during a shocking crime. They are so well written they feel like old friends. I had no idea who the killer couldn’t be I guessed wrong twice! From start to finish this was intense, gripping, crazy, shocking! Just so much going on I couldn’t love it more.

The girls that Morgan has saved have formed a support group, "The Final Girls". A serial killer is after the survivors. And Morgan has no idea that he is planning to make her his final victim.

A heartpounding thriller. I felt so uncomfortable when reading this. To survive a serial killer only to be targeted by another. Arrghh!
Definitely a thrilling read with goosebumps forming on your arms. I am a huge fan of police procedurals with female leads, and Morgan is a fearless detective that makes sure she always gets the bad guy.

Thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture for the opportunity to read this book.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for my copy of this book.

When a girl is found brutally murdered, it is Morgan, Ben, Cain and Amy that are called in to investigate. Morgan is shocked to find that the victim is Lexie, a survivor a serial killer attack from a previous case. The investigation finds that Lexie and other survivors meet regularly in a support group. Morgan is also a ‘final girl’ so is she also on the killers list?

Wow this was non-stop. I’ve just finished reading and I’m still processing the brutal ending. My only criticism is that the ending was so fast paced it was hard to process everything that was happening in real time. Or maybe that was because I couldn’t turn the pages of my kindle fast enough. This had all the elements needed for a fantastic story and it definitely didn’t disappoint. I really like Morgan and Cain’s relationship. They are the dream team for workmates. Declan as the ‘gay best friend’ is also fantastic and unfortunately a character we don’t see enough of. Fast paced, brutal, shocking but full of laughs as well. Highly recommend this.
