I am very new to crochet and wanted to take my basic knowledge to the next level. Making Amigurumi's are very popular right now. This book is chock full of very cute projects. It includes step-by-step graphics and instructions to make each one. The language is very simple and easy to understand. A great book for a beginner or advanced crocheter.

"Wonderful World of Amigurumi" is a new collection of 15 cute anthropomorphized amigurumi animals (plus a single mushroom and a mermaid!). From bees and anglerfish to crocodiles and giraffes, the pattern collection has something to offer to just about anybody. I'm especially keen on trying out the platypus myself... a platypus with a hat and sweater? What's not to like!

All the patterns have a ton of details, making them perhaps a bit time-consuming and fiddly to make, but the end project is so worth it, as they all look really, really cute.

Each pattern comes with a detailed introduction of yarn used, and expected size at the given gauge, and the instructions are very clear and with lots of photos along the way. I'd perhaps not recommend it to a beginner, as there are a LOT of details to each pattern, but the book includes an introduction of which yarn to choose and what hook to use, as well as a complete glossary with all the stitches to use, and tips and tricks for people new to amigurumi, so who knows - these cute animals may be just the push some people need, to get started crocheting toys.

This is a supper cute and well laid out Amigurumi book. I loved that it took me through beginning till ending. The photography of different stitches were shoot very well with tan colored yarn that was supper easy to see. There was also a really good mix of different creatures to make. The only thing I didn’t like about the Amigurumi is some are designed with the clothes built in. I prefer when the clothes are separate and can be changed up. But all in all I love this book. Would recommend to anyone ready to dive into more advanced Amigurumi.

I am very, VERY new to crocheting and am particularly interested in Amigurumi, so when I saw this, I knew I had to give it a shot. I am thrilled with this title and will be purchasing the hardcover when it comes out. The step by step pictures are fantastic and the breadth of options is quite nice. Wonderful, wonderful book.

This is absolutely adorable! I'd say it could be a bit hard for beginners and I'd recommend it more for intermediate crocheters and amigurumi-makers. The patterns are easy to follow and the photo quality is great. The beginning of the book shows the basics, as well as do's and don'ts. In this book you can find some more unique animals like a boar, a male ladybug or an anglerfish. The layout of the book is very clean, easy to follow and colorful and definitely makes you want to grab all your yarn and supplies and start (I want to make Heina the mushroom first).

An excellent book for improving your amigurumi crochet skills ! I haven't tried out all the patterns yet, but they're all so cute ! It may be a little difficult for beginners, though. Thanks for this great discovery !

This is a delightful book for Amigurumi lovers and those wishing to learn. It contains not only 15 cute patterns, but the author has also taken the time to clearly explain with words and pictures the steps to complete – from starting with basic steps to adorable finishing touches. I would recommend this book to someone wanting to explore the world of Amigurumi crochet. Excellent work.

this is LOVELY! The patterns are easy to follow and they're so so cute!

I'm also happy to have the basic stitches explained at the beginning of this book as I'm a beginner. It's lovely to just go back a few pages and get reminded about how to do it again.

I'll just go ahead and say this cover had me love at first sight! I have been crocheting for a while, but this book could be for an adventurous beginner because there are detailed instructions in the front, Even for as long as I have crocheted, sometimes I need a little reminder for how to do things. There are great photos, for both the instructions part and the staged finished animals! There are so many great creatures, a bunch I don't usually see in crochet books. The only thing I saw that I didn't like is the amount of color changing. It is my arch nemesis 😂 I would not let that scare you away, though. I would recommend buying this book in actual copy if you can, just for the nice color photos. I read it in kindle and it presented pretty well.

This book is perfect! The patterns are very easy to read and I can understand them. I love all the designs too! the pictures in the book are nice and clear.

This book has so many cute Amigurumi projects not only with unique animal projects, but each animal has fun accessories and a name! I love the personality each of these projects.

Fun book with cute patterns that were fairly easy to read and do. I’m excited to try a few more and to see what my mom can do as she’s more skilled than I am.

These are absolutely so cute. I am going to make a few of these little guys for presents. They are whimsical and adorable. The instructions look very well written and easy to do. I think these are medium to advance crocheter's.

Having the table of contents all of the creatures was a really cute idea. The art is adorable I cannot wait to make some of these. Instructions are very clear, the patterns are not the same thing I have seen a dozen times. Super cute.

Great book of crochet patterns. Easy to read and the pictures were very helpful! I and making the little mushroom man as my first project. I took off a star because I wish that the different patterns had been broken up into chapters. Hopefully because this was an ARC book the formatting is just off. Overall a well written pattern book!

The type of yarn you use should not have elasticity or your creations can become deformed. You will also need embroidery floss, safety eyes, noses, a wool needle, felted wool, stitch marker, stuffing, round headed pins, scissors, blush for cheeks, . Your crochet hook should feel comfortable in your hand.
You should know certain crochet stitches such as: chain stitch, slip stitch, single crochet, x-shaped, half double crochet, double crochet, increase, decrease, invisible decrease, and a magic ring. You should learn to distinguish the inside from the outside and how to change color or yarn. You must learn to read the abbreviations and symbols.
There are 15 patterns in this book: the Bee, the Fennec Fox, the Giraffe, the mushroom, the Crocodile, the Kitten, the Boar, the Ladybug, the Skunk, the Monkey, the Platypus, the Ostrich, the Mermaid, the Anglerfish, and the Reindeer. The instructions are easy to read once you learn the abbreviations and symbols. They are detailed but easy to follow. I haven’t tried my hand at making one of them yet but the Bee is awfully cute and since we raise bees that will probably be my first one.

Cute, detailed, well explained, yet concise and clear!
What an adorable book filled with super cute little things to crochet!
I feel like even most beginner crochet enthusiasts would be able to make most of those tiny cuties, each technique is clearly demonstrated and there are many tips and tricks along the way.

This book was very clear with excellent instructions and diagrams. The creatures are very cute, including animals and magical creatures. The author gives good descriptions of the materials to use as well as explaining her motivations for doing these crafts. I have not tried any of them yet but hope to explore them.

A very hot craft topic as of late and the timing of this book is perfect. It provides clear and specific directions with photos and steps to ensure the crocheter can end up with a finish product. A wide variety of animals with different levels of difficulty. This is a must have for the beginner and quite frankly for the advanced as well. You will need to add this cast of characters to your next skein of yarn.
