Legacy of Temptation was FANTASTIC. I loved the start of the next generation. It made me want to read the first gen. Logan's book was so fun! I really loved this world. I loved Eva and honestly I am going to go back and re-read this book this weekend. I was so good.

I had to DNF this book. Slight spoilers ahead

First of all, this is not the first book in a series related to another series in the same universe, it's more like the 22nd (yes, there are 21 book before this one) in the series. I think it would still be possible to understand the book if there were reminders of what happened from time to time. Instead I was just confused about what's going on.

I couldn't keep reading soon after the granny's attack where the MMC was stabbed, prepare yourself, with penis-blades. I read 20 more pages after that one but then I was done. Apart from that, the romance felt more like simple lust, but topped with an overprotective a-hole instinct. And that's not even all, I found out that Lilith is not even important to the plot at all?? Then why add that crazy perverted character? I guess some people like it, but I just found it icky.

I'm not gonna leave a review anywhere else, because I didn't and won't read 21 books just so I can understand what's going on. I just think people should know that reading the other books is quite mandatory in order to really understand this one

3.5 stars. I know they said this could be read as a stand alone but I feel like it lacked something for me without knowledge of the previous lore. I love the post-apocalyptic setting and Larissa Ione's writing style is easy to slip into and find immersive, but the overall feel was just missing something for me to be invested in- whereas I think I would've been kicking my feet and giggling the whole time at family tree easter eggs if I'd been better prepared. I definitely think I want to dive into Ione's backlog though and will be adding some of her earlier books to my TBR to report back!

I was a bit worried about starting this book before I finished the actual Demonic series, as I might miss something important. Yet, I did not!! I love this world Larissa gives us; it is full of everything good and evil and a bit of spice.
I hope we have more of this story and it turns into a series. The children of the four horsemen will be the center of it all.
Logan works for DART and is the son of Thanatos and Regan, who have their own book in the Demonica series ( I highly suggest you try it out); while humans do know of the supernatural in the world, that doesn't mean that they don't need protecting. Logan finds himself liking Eva, who works for The Aegis, who are all against demons. So you just know how this is supposed to go, right? It seems that Eva has some things that are going on with her, and once everything comes together, you will be left going. Wow! With Logan and Eva teaming up and stopping the evil that still lurks and trying to find a bit of romance with each other, you know you are in for a ride! If you have yet to read any of the Demonica series by this author, just jump into it. You won't be disappointed! I can't wait for the next book in this series to see which child of the Horseman is next on our list.

A beautiful example of a paranormal romance. Larissa built these characters and this world exquisitely and I’m excited to read more

This book is definitely not a standalone, but if you don't mind skimming over background characters and not 100% understanding side plots, then it's not too bad. The plot doesn't have too much depth, but it's helped by amazing writing and characters you root for. A fast read that leaves a bit to be desired.

I hadn’t read the previous series to this one so I ended up reading that series as well before reading this! What an interesting world- the world building is top notch. I love love love that this follows the son of two previous characters - it’s my favorite thing when book series do that! It’s like getting a peek at their happily ever after and I loved Logan and Eva’s story!

I couldn’t get into the story just as I thought. Not disappointed but need more depth, I think. I can't remember when was the last time when I read a book in which the whole plot was 100% equal to what was written in the blurb and nothing more. There was no surprise there, no resolution to any of the plot threads and the whole story was blatantly predictable and painfully dull.

Now, for this book in particular, I did find it a bit difficult to get into; this wasn't down to the author's writing or anything of that sort. However, I did find it was because of my lack of knowledge of the world that Larissa has created. Now if you are a Larissa Lone fan, and you've read her past books, you will love this story!
There's initially a lot going on and the romance does slightly take a back seat however it doesn't fall short of being an interesting love story.
Now if you want to get into the world of Larissa Lone and her demon world I would highly suggest reading her older books within this serious for a much more lovely and impactful read!

This was a fantastic start to a spin off to a beloved series. It was great to dive back in to the world and reacquaint myself with the characters who have been so entertaining in the Demonica series as well as meet the children that will lead this series.
Logan was a loveable character straight of the bat. He had a kindness and caring to him that seemed to intensity once Eva was in his care.
Even though Eva took me a bit longer to warm to, I appreciated that she always seemed open to alternate theories and opinions even though her default was to agree with the Aegis and their teachings and beliefs.
The twists and turns of the story kept me hooked and I can honestly say I can't wait for the next in the series.

Larissa lone is a paranormal genius. I will read anything she writes. This is the start of an amazing new series, if judged by this book. I could not get enough of this story. This book could have been 700 pages and it still wouldn't be enough for me. 5 star read.
I just reviewed Legacy of Temptation by Larissa Ione. #NetGalley

This book is going to be big on TikTok I can just tell.

It reminded me of the YA fantasy novels I read in the late noughties and early 2010's but more grown up.
I thoroughly enjoyed it and it is a great addition to the genre!

I was disappointed in this book being marketed as not needing to have read the other series it was associated with. There were like 20 characters from the series introduced in the first chapters. I ended up DNFing because of how much I felt like I needed to have the other books to understand what was going on.

Is this the end? Logan can’t believe that the Aegis is sending their guardians on a exchange program. He definitely wasn’t expecting to meet Eva but he knows that he needs to keep things professional. But everyone changes when two of his friends are killed in cold blood. He will do anything to find the killer even if that means using Eva. But their feelings for each other changes everything but first Logan needs to keep her alive. Will he be able to stop Draven from killing her? Do they get a chance at being together?
There is so much going on in the book from angels to a psycho grandmother trying to kill everyone. Love seeing the older members as we get to see how everyone has grown throughout the books. Always enjoy the books.
Thank you Netgalley & the publisher for the ARC copy. This is my voluntary review.

I’m so excited to be back in the world of the demonica! I’m actually a huge fan of time jumps in series, I love to see how authors progress their worlds & characters over time do this chance to see the stories of the horsemen’s children is awesome. Logan & Eva are great and I loved their chemistry. A solid start to the renewal of this world.

This was so good! And it's also the slowest of slow burns but it burns so good and it's so worth it.

I love the world building and the idea of how humanity would be/act if the world knew about Angel's, demons, shifters and vampires.

I liked the characters, the FMC and MMC are fantastic but I really liked Mace and Crux, Stryke and Amber . And I'm hoping we get to see more of those characters in the future.

It's been a minute since I read a third person POV but I really enjoy it.

I really enjoyed this story ! I was lucky enough to read the first bit of book two and oh my heart I can't wait to see where this story goes!

In a world where angels and demons have made their way to Earth, humanity has had to make a lot of changes. Some are aligned with the angels and back the Aegis, an organization who is trying to eliminate the demons in anyway possible. The other major organization, DART (Demon Activity Response Team), believes that humans and demons can work together to ensure the safety of humanity and return the dangerous demons back to the pit.
The story follows Logan (from DART and son of Death) and Eva (from Aegis) and follows their impending romance despite their beliefs and their positions within their respective organizations.

I really enjoyed this book, the pacing was fantastic and there was just enough chaos and crazy it was a great read! This is the first book I picked up from Larissa Ione and will be reading through the earlier works. This is easy enough to pick up as a stand alone but I suspect it is worth going back to read the earlier works first for full impact of events later in the book.

5 stars, I will be looking for the follow up to Logan and Eva's story.

Thank you to Larissa Ione, Net Galley, and Blue Box Press for this ARC.
