This is another great collection, the 24th in the series of book samples categorized by category. There are close to 60 books in the categories of Fiction, Debut authors, I started reading more debut authors this year and have found some great reads. There are a lot of diverse new voices in this sampling.

This is a great service and you should definitely check out these samplers to find your next great read! I'm looking forward to reading The Hunter's Daughter and Memory Piece which I found under Fiction.

Wow! Love this and the idea behind it. I am just starting to read the full excerpts but it’s perfect for finding a new author or genre that is out of my normal zone. I am thrilled to take my time and then request the titles that grab me in.

I usually really enjoy reading this sampler of books. But this one was really unenjoyable. The selection of books was not of the same quality as usual … and seemed to follow only one particular theme which made it seem contrived rather than a genuine cross-section of new books that will be available. What a shame.

This season is ramping up to be a great one! The excerpts that intrigued me the most are as follows:

Sister Snake - Amanda Lee Koe
Honey - Isabel Banta
The Eyes Are The Bear Part - Monika Kim
Facing Down the Furies: Suicide, the Ancient Greeks, and Me - Edith Hall
Here After - Amy Lin

A fantastic compilation of upcoming books, both fiction and non-fiction, some of which have a few teaser chapters. I found it made me curious to read books that I might not otherwise have discovered, and appreciate the work that has gone into curating each seasonal collection. Many thanks!

Such a nice sampler. I love getting to see books before they release. The story snippets are the perfect length to give you a taste and get you excited to read the book when it comes out.

I always enjoy these. This one did not have a lot of books that I was really interested in, but I did think The Unwedding sounds really good! Looking forward to that and the next Buzz Books edition!

Publishers Lunch hits never misses, with this solid collection of samples from future releasing books. There are a lot of titles in this sample that I was super excited to see, like The Last Murder at the End of the World by Stuart Turton, Sandwich by Catherine Newman and The Eyes Are the Best Part by Monika Kim, three books that I have heard so much about and all good things of course. There were also some samples that took me by surprise and I cannot WAIT to read them: And So I Roar by Abi Dare, The Return of Ellie Black by Emiko Jean, and Memory Piece by Lisa Ko. I wanted to keep reading past the excerpts because these three books were SO good! There are also samples of books in here that I might check out but I wasn't crazy about like; The Deading by Nicholas Belardes, The Great Hemisphere by Mateo Askarpour and Bound to the Shadow Prince by Ruby Dixon.

This comprehensive book provides incredible insight to that best books coming in Spring and Summer of 2024. It is helping me choose the best books to review for my readers. Without it, my choices would be more limited. I am already looking forward to the Fall/Winter which I hear is coming in May.

I find this super helpful. I now have a list that I can look back to when planning out what Advanced Reader Copies I may be interested in putting my time into as well as books I might like to buy after their publishing date.

I always look forward to Publishers Lunch's Buzz Books issues, and the 2024 Spring/Summer edition is no exception. It's exciting to get an early look at some of the big releases that are coming up. It's also the perfect way to discover new authors, or perhaps find a different genre to check out. There are a number of books in this issue that really jumped out at me and I'm eagerly awaiting a chance to read them. I can't wait to get into A Daughter of Fair Verona by Christina Dodd, a romance. Mystery and thrillers Granite Harbor by Peter Nichols and The Last Murder at the End of the World by Stuart Turton look particularly exciting. And for something different, horror novels The Deading by Nicholas Belardes and The Eyes are the Best Part by Monika Kim sound quite chilling. I must get going...lots of good books to start reading!

I received a copy of this book from NetGalley. I received no compensation for my review, and all thoughts and opinions expressed are entirely my own.

This is really a great guide to figure out new books to request or have on my radar to pick up once they publish. I’ve already read a lot of the excerpts and I’m excited to keep exploring and finding new authors!

Buzz Books 2024: Spring/Summer by Publishers Lunch
I thoroughly enjoyed the chance to browse titles to be published in the Spring/summer of 2024. The opportunity to find titles I will want to read myself and titles to suggest to others.

Buzz Books is the best. My TBR is perpetually growing and this is one of my favorite ways to round up a list of books to look forward to during the coming season. It's a nice mix of debut and seasoned authors across genres. 5 stars, what's not to love?!
