What I liked about Brewed In Magic:
-This was the perfect cozy, winter read!
-Ragnar and Lilia are SO likable and their banter is incredible.
-He calls her Lil and Darling.
-Lilia loves her dragon the same way I love my dog. (They're so much more than just a pet.)
-I need to read book 1 of this series ASAP
A few of my favorite quotes:
-"We watched the sky together in comfortable silence."
-"You're the one gaping at me, darling."
-"I'd spend forever wandering the world with you."
-"The only home I'll ever need is you."
I recommend Brewed in Magic if you like the following:

Just as the author says on her preface, Brewed in Magic is indeed a ‘light-hearted palate cleanser for those days when you need something fun’. I enjoyed this book, it’s quite light, has an interesting plot, likeable characters and it’s a quit read. The relationship between characters was sweet and Lillia and Ragnar had chemistry and banter with each other which I found to be well balanced!
This is definitely a book to read between heavy books. The world buildup is very minimal which makes it easy to just jump into the story without previous knowledge of the place. The writing was soft and engaging and it’ll definitely make you devour this in one go!
If you’re looking for a cozy fantasy palate cleanser read, this is definitely the book for you! I feel fresh to start a heavier book now!
Wolfhart was meant to write cozy fantasy! Brewed in Magic is the second stand alone in her Falling for Fables series and I cannot get enough of them! I fell in love with these characters almost instantly.
A free spirited elf with her traveling tavern, and a new handsome charismatic man who happens to be a rival tavern owner competing for their place at the Yule festival.
These two go from rivals, to reluctant allies working together to solve a Yule ruining mystery, to bantering lovers.
I couldn’t get enough of this book and eagerly await the next!
Lilia has lived quite a solitary life on the road with her Travelling Tavern. When she meets a fellow traveller one night there is a little spark between them, but it comes to nothing. They meet up again under less pleasant circumstances when they are rivals at the Yule festival, both trying to sell their Ale. Things turn in to a cavalcade of misadventures. Everything that could go wrong does, forcing them to put aside their differences and work together. I liked how their connection grew. They both had set ideas of where their lives were going and being together did not seem to fit those plans. I liked the array of different creatures who we met along the way. This was a lighearted, fantasy romance with a tiny bit of spice.
I’m not normally home for cozy reads, but this novel was actually pretty cute. I like that this is part of a series that you can pick up at any Novel and read completely out of order if you so choose! The characters were simple, but well defined, the world was simple, but also extensive enough, the plot was just as cozy as it was mysterious, and the spice was sprinkled in just right.
Thank you to NetGalley for this eARC. While I am not one to watch winter Hallmark movies… give me one set in a fantasy realm and I AM THERE! Set during Yule, we follow Lilia and her Traveling Tavern to Riverwold for the Yule Festival. Along the way she meets the handsome and mysterious Ragnar. While they are in Riverwold preparing for Yule, mishaps keep occurring, very true to form of a Hallmark movie.
While towards the end I was feeling like it was drawn out with a few extra mishaps that maybe weren’t necessary, Jenna tied up the story fairly quickly and kept me interested.
I had read book 1, Forged By Magic, and loved it and was so excited to see Lilia’s story come to life AND have more dragons. Didn’t know I needed more dragons in my life.
Brewed in Magic is a wonderful winter time read with just a hint of suspense to keep it all interesting with just a small dose of spice.
In this enchanting stand-alone, the author weaves a beautiful story including cozy romance, funny banter, and friendship. I adored this book as much if not more than the first in the series. I loved that the story immediately included the previous characters as I still felt connected to them. I hope there will be another and I look forward to it if so.
Lilia is the owner of her own traveling ale tavern and on her way to her annual Yule Festival slot she meets a handsome stranger... who just happens to also be a rival ale salesman and has taken her spot in the festival.... but to make matters worse someone is out to sabotage the festival and the only person she can get to help her solve this is said rival. Lilia loves traveling and brewing ale, but she's beginning to feel lonely. Her only real companion is her dragon yet on her latest journey to the holiday festival she works at, she meets her new business rival, a handsome guy who just loves getting under her skin. Yet when someone steals both their supplies of ale and other things from the festival its up to Lilia and Ragnar to solve the mystery. Yet the more time they spend together the more they realize that they find that they are kindred spirits. This was a really cut cozy fantasy romance, Lilia and Ragnar are working a cute holiday festival, there's a mystery and a cute small town, and it was a overall really cute read (especially with a warm cup of tea). I had fun reading this and it was a sweet one to read. I am excited to see what next adventure will happen in this world!

Thank you to the publisher, Jenna wolfhart and NetGalley for an advanced readers copy in exchange for an early review.
This was pure magical comfiness! This lived up to its predecessor and this fantasy romance is perfect if you want to get lost in a world and was to feel all the warm and fuzzy’s while reading it!
3.5 stars
This was very cute. I loved the world building and for the most part I enjoyed the mystery although I did find it unsatisfying in the end. This book is definitely one where the journey is the best part but the rest is still good.
At the start a couple of her friends really annoyed me because they didn’t seem like they were good friends. That was still a bit true at the end but she has so many others that it makes up for it. Lilia is an over the top good person and I do really love that but it means I want everything to be perfect for her. Don’t take my negativity too seriously, this book got on the bad side of me because of a small part at the start and it was an uphill climb from there but it was a fun read.
This can be read as a standalone despite being book 2 (I haven’t yet read book 1 and could follow along fine but it might add something to read in order).
I absolutely adored this sweet romance! Just the right amount of mystery, magic, and romance - with such a cozy vibe that really got me in the mood for the holidays. I was so sad to say goodbye to these characters at the end! Cannot recommend this book enough. Thank you to the publisher & NetGalley for the opportunity to read it in advance!
4.5 stars! Thank you to NetGalley and Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for this advanced copy! You can pick up Brewed in Magic on January 2, 2024.
What an adorable cozy romantasy! I loved the low-stakes, sweet romance, and gorgeous world Jenna Wolfhart created. She dedicated this book to "anyone who has ever wanted the fantasy version of a wintery hallmark romance movie," and I feel like this book fits that bill perfectly.
The emphasis on the Yule festival, the friendships among creatures from different backgrounds, and the rival tavern owners turned lovers encapsulated the perfect cozy holiday mood. I had a blast reading it, and I'm sure you would too!
