I have really enjoyed this series so far! I love the audio for this and I think it helps keep me engaged. While I did like this book more than book 1, there are some points where I found myself confused on how the plot got to the point it did. Overall however, enjoyable read! I would recommend.

I receive the complimentary audiobook via NetGalley in return for a honest review. Thank you to Dreamscape Media, Penelope Barsetti, & NetGalley for giving me access to this audiobook. As always, the opinions expressed are my own.
I wanted to love this book but I didn’t. Actually, I was very disappointed. If it didn’t have spice, it almost read a bit YA for me. The book begins with Larisa alone and hurt by Kingsnake. She felt betrayed by secrets that he had kept from her for the reason they were no longer together. Before you know it, it was good as new. All forgotten and they’re back together again. That is the plot and the first 15% of the book… I am not kidding. Then we meet Cobra and his love interest Clara. Their story/POV takes over for much of the remainder of the book.
The positives:
-The narrators were fabulous! 5 ⭐️ for Ramona Master and Michael Ferraiuolo
-Spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️
The Negatives:
-Most of the book
I would say if you loved book one, get it for sure. If you love vampires with some spice, give it a try since maybe it was the writing style that threw me off.

Not for me 2.5/5 ⭐ 3/5 🌶️
What to expect:
Vampires
Magical creatures
Forced proximity
Enemies to lovers
Feisty FMC
Aloof MMC

▪️ Speedy synopsis:
Larissa being immune to a plague wiping out humanity is bartered for the safety of her city and forced into the custody of a vampire king.
🔺 What I liked:
The storyline is a true enemies to lovers. The MMC and FMC truly dislike each other for the majority of this book. I appreciated that their feelings didn’t flip so quickly.
It’s an interesting premise.
I liked Fang.
🔻 What I didn’t like as much:
I didn’t like some of the character names. Every time I heard “King Snake” particularly in a smutty chapter I cringed a bit.
I wished there was more world building.
I found Larissa really annoying as a character.
The spice was repetitive.
📚 Summary:
If you liked Twilight, this might be for you. It wasn’t for me.

I can’t get enough of this series! It is fast paced and there is a perfect balance between the romance/plot. I will be continuing the series and excited to see what else the author puts out.

Genre: Dark Paranormal Romance
This is book 2 in a dark vampire romance series. You need to have read the first book before starting this one. The story continues with Larisa and Kingsnake’s relationship and the mistrust she has with him. There is a new couple introduced… Kingsnake’s brother Cobra and Clara. Like the first book, there isn’t that much world building & character development. It is straight to the point dark romance. I personally like books like this sometimes because I want a quick spicy read.
I listened to it on audio and really liked the narrators.
Thank you to Dreamscape for the gifted copy! 🧛🐍

This book pretty much picks up after the prior book. Larisa finds herself once again in Kingsnake's presence. She can tell herself all the lies she wants and give Kingsnake rules but in the end, she can't resist him. She is like a moth drawn to a flame.
These two's relationship is evolving into something deeper. I saw some growth from Larisa but not a great amount. I will agree with some of the other readers that she could have been stronger but really who could blame her when it comes to Kingsnake.
In this book, we also get to know Kingsnake's brother, King Cobra better. Who I like this addition and his love interest Clara. I was looking for a new dark, fantasy series to sink my teeth into (pun intended). I look forward to continuing this series. Although, I may have to do so in audio format as I really enjoyed the narrators, Ramona Master and Michael Ferraiuolo.

What an awesome audiobook! I started with this book and will go back and read/listen to book 1. I love a good vampire fantasy book and the narrators: Ramona Master and Michael Ferraiuolo did such a great job with their acting and bringing this book to life. The story itself was fantastic and had great writing. 4/5 stars!

Unable to create a cure from Larissa’s blood and having held back secrets from her, KingSnake is not in her good books. They must work together to get to the root cause of the outbreak, which could lead to a cure for both their people. Soon Kingsnake’s brother Cobra enters the picture and his new romance becomes the main theme of the book.
Honestly after the first one I didn’t really want to try this, it was okay but I just think the writing style is not for me. It was just way too cheesy in places. That being said, if you enjoyed the first book, you would probably enjoy this one.
The narrators did a good job, but I just wasn’t into the book overall.

I requested this one in hopes that I would love the first book and could jump right into the next....
after really not enjoying the first one, I decided against picking this one up.

This book is terribly misleading. I loved the first book and was eager to find out more about Kingsnake, and then the plot switches to his brother and another woman. Please make that clear in your description. I DNFd around 30%, as nothing too terribly exciting was happening.

Bite The Terror That Feeds
I want to thank the author for giving me the opportunity to read this e-arc audiobook in exchange for my honest review.
Do you love a book that:
🖤 Enemies to Lovers
🖤 Friends w/ Benefits
🖤 Strong FMC
🖤 Vampires
THOUGHTS:
The hold that this book had on me. Our narrators Ramona Master and Michael Ferraiuolo were incredible through this entire book. I am very picky with my narrators and they can absolutely make or break an audiobook and I loved them from start to finish. Bravo and now I will keep an eye out for them working on other books as well.
Once again our author has done it!!! We take off where we left off in book one and I LOVED that we got to meet Kingsnakes family in this one!!! As usual, the character development and dialogue is perfection, I’m a sucker for the multiple POV’s and the spice was even more spicn’ in this book than the first and ooowweeee! The action and the twists and turns all the way to the end of this book keeps you turning pages trying to figure out what is going to happen. My heart is always racing with these books! POUNDING more like it. We are left hanging from another cliff in this book and now I NEEED book 3 more than ever. I need to know where they all end up, I need to know more about where Kingsnake and Larissa’s relationship status 😂.
If this book is not on your TBR or the audiobook on your TBR it needs to be. You will fall in love with the story, the characters and the world as well as Penelope’s writing. Guaranteed.

Special thanks to Dreamscape Media for sharing a free copy with me in exchange for my honest opinions.

I ended up enjoying this second book even more than the first one. The way the relationships progressed and all the new characters introduced made this book amazing. The tension between her and the brother was so fun to see and how he slowly came around to her after she saved him was one of my favorite parts. The war as a whole was super fun and seeing different kinds of immortals fight is so intriguing. The cliff hanger really got me and i need to know what happens next!!

Thank you Dreamscape and Netgalley for the audio ARC of Bite the terror that feeds.
I really enjoyed listening to this romance/ fantasy book. It can be read/listened to as a stand alone book ( as I did) but Im definitely going to read the first book ( Bite the women who feeds ) now as well as the rest in the series.
Ramona Master and Michael Ferraiuolo narrated this book and both have lovely voices that are easy on the ears. Both have good pacing to their voices which suited the book and characters,
I loved Fang and thought he brought the story to life!
3.5 stars

I ended up devouring the first two books in this series in less than a day!
Get ready because the plot just thickened! Larisa has recently discovered that Kingsnake has been keeping a significant secret from her. The question is, can they reconcile their differences and work together to uncover the truth about who caused the outbreak? Time is running out, and the stakes are high. So stay tuned for the next turn in this exciting adventure! Additionally, there's a new couple in town, Cobra (Kingsnake's brother), and Clara.
Can't wait to find out what happens next!
***Thank you to NetGalley, Penelope Barsetti, and Dreamscape Media for graciously sending me the audiobook to review. As always, all thoughts are my own.***

Another fascinating book in this series. We meet new captivating characters & learn more about the ones we already know. Great audiobook narration.
Fang is still my favorite😉
Thank you to the publishers and NetGalley for the ARC.

Penelope Barsetti has done it again!! Not only does she leave her listeners hanging by a thread on the edge of their seats, but she also throws more family dysfunction in the mix by adding POVs from Kingsnakes brothers, his father and oh by the way Clara who happens to come into the story with her own agenda. Each and every chapter intertwines the best storytelling with just the right combo of angst, greed, hatred and oh yeah - a love story!! Can I dare say that the second book in the series was even better than the first?!?! This is a must audiobook!!

This went by too fast! i NEED more NOWWWW! 😂
Kingsnake & Larissa go on a mission to find the cure for the humans while we get more from the other vampire kings 😉😉😉
Cobra is my new favorite, Sorry Kingsnake. 😉😉😉😉
Kingsnake promised me he would let me go once he found the cure, but he’s known this entire time and never once shared it with me. And now that I know the truth—that there is no cure—he still won’t let me go. Now I’m his prisoner once again.
He asks to feed from me several times, but I refuse all his advances. If he wants my blood, he’ll have to force it from me. He comes to my bedchambers to speak with me, but I pretend he doesn’t exist. Once his hunger intensifies and the weakness sets in, he’s forced to feed—and it won’t be from me.
Viper escorts me from my chambers to the brothel where his prey awaits, and I’m forced to look at a gorgeous naked woman waiting for him. His betrayal has iced my heart and closed off my feelings, but my jealousy can’t be controlled. I may be angry with him, but I don’t want him to have anyone else but me.
So I submit to the vampire king—again.
Thanks to NetGalley & Dreamscape Media for this ARC!

By: Penelope Barsetti
Narrated by: Ramona Master, Michael Ferraiuolo
Series: Dirty Blood, Book 2
Publisher: Dreamscape Media
Release date: 12-26-23

This didn't work for me. I enjoyed the first book in the series, but didn't like Larisa in this one. She seemed to by a bystander instead of a main character and I found that disappointing. I did like that we were introduced to new characters, but for the perspectives to pivot halfway was a little odd.
The narration for the audiobook was ok. I felt that the reading pace was a bit rushed and it was hard to distinguish between different characters talking.

The way I laugh out loud during the sex scenes in this book is inhuman. Nothing in life has ever competed with this series.
I love this so much. I am not sure if it is because I find it silly or I love the story itself.
Our lovers are traveling to find allies and maybe a cure for the plague that started this whole adventure. They have to save the humans so they can eat them! They have lots of sex and also there are some battles and drama, then more sex.
Somehow this vampire is warm and breaths. His brother breaths too.
Why are they taking a snake into the cold? Poor snake.
I love the switch to Cobra and his new lady.
I am giant prude but I will read every single book in this series and I will probably love all of them.
