Grant Murray is known as a rake with the reputation of trading himself for money from wealthy women. Wren Darrow works as a maid to earn a living for her aunt and herself. Meeting Grant isn't exactly a good thing, but his kisses tend to sweep her off her feet. From different social standings, she tries to discourage his attention, but a man in love is a force to be reckoned with. Explicit sex with a rake who has a few embarrassing moments.

This is the third book of the series, Rogues of the Lowlands. I have not read the previous books, and though they are connected by the stories of each of four friends, I was still able to follow this story without any trouble. Grant and his three friends are looking to invest in a cargo ship with the hope of becoming rich. Although Grant comes from a wealthy family, he is estranged from them because of what he does for a living. Even though he makes good money, it is not the most respectable profession. But that all changes when he meets Wren, and begins to realize money doesn't always lead to happiness and in order to truly be happy, he needs to change his ways. Wren also falls for him, but things are complicated, because despite her love for him, she recognizes that they cannot be together because the difference in their stations.
The romance between Wren and Grant is lovely, with many heartwarming conversations. The storyline flowed nicely and the plot twists kept me interested and turning the pages, anxious to find out how things progressed. The characters were well-written and interesting and I enjoyed following their story. I really enjoyed the story and hope to have a chance to read the previous books that I missed.

In Love with a Rogue

Wren is a servant in a home, where Grant is using his charms to make money. He is the lover of the wealthy lady of the house. When women do this, people call them whores. The same rule should apply to men. As Grant finds himself falling in love with Wren, he begins to dislike what he is doing. Will he be able to extricate himself from the quagmire in which he finds himself? The lady he is servicing notices his interest in Wren, and she is unwilling to share him with a servant. How will it all end? Wren is in an untenable position, and Grant is in an unenviable situation of his own making. Can love win in the end? If you like historical romance, where the hero and heroine are from different social classes, you might enjoy this story.

Grant Murray has an unusual system of funding his extravagant lifestyle. Which meant he basically made a mess of his life. Grant is wanting to get money to invest with his friends in a business venture that will hopefully turn his life around and make him independent.
Wren Darrow has gone to live with her Aunt and now works in the same house as her Aunt. Wren and Grant meet, fall in love, and then Grant confesses his past to Wren. I will let you read the story to find out how that goes.
Another great story by Hildie McQueen.

Knowing that he needs the money and can most likely get it from the women he entertains. This is a story of a man growing up and realizing what is most important in life and how his decisions affect other people. Not just for the moment but sometimes for a lifetime.

A Rogue to Cherish by Hildie McQueen is the story of four men who are looking to invest in a ship carrying cargo to the West Indies and then carrying cargo back again. They hope to become rich. This story concentrates on one man: Grant Murray, who comes from a wealthy family, not nobility, but is somewhat estranged from his family. They don’t approve of the way he earns his living: he becomes an escort, and often more, to wealthy older women. It started when he slept with the wife of a friend of theirs, destroying a marriage. His current affair is with Lucinda Roberts, many years his senior, his lover, and a participant in orgies at her home with other older women and young men like himself. That all comes to an end when she sends him a note. The person delivering the note is a lovely young woman named Wren Darrow to whom he was immediately attracted. As he was so drawn to her, he seemed to run into her everywhere so the word soon got back to Lucinda and she was let go. He got her a job at his parents’ home. She was soon let go from there as well. He was in love. She was in love, too, but had better sense. She knew they could never be as their places in society were so divergent.

This was a lovely book about a man, worse than a rake, was reformed by love. He did what he could do to remedy his situation, including making amends with his father. He was a decent young man who was simply lost and so succumbed to the temptation of easy money. Wren has lost all of her family except for her elderly aunt, with whom she lives. She is clever and intelligent, and more importantly, realistic. This is a delightful story, one very unlikely to have really happened, but lots of fun anyway. The plot is thin but the writing is good and the characters are entertaining. A light and easy read.

Romance, Entrepreneur's, Entertaining:
The 4 friends are still working towards gathering enough money for their investment to materialize and time is running out.
This third book of the series is about Grant a true rake of the ton, and the lovely, sweet Wren. We follow them through a most intriguing romance as they come together to bring us an emotionally charged and interesting love story. Being of a different class as society demands they struggle to admit they are hopelessly in love.
This romance story is filled with heartwarming conversations, surging desire, a few decadent parties that were quite surprising to me and a couple of "Oh No's" from this reader.
I truly enjoyed this story which can be a standalone read.
I certainly look forward to Mile's story and I'm very anxious to find out if their get rich scheme actually works out.

A different twist on how to make money, but I don't want to giveaway the storyline. Grant and his 3 friends all need to come up with funds for an investment opportunity. This is the 3rd book in the series but can be read as a standalone. Of I so enjoyed this book will backtrack and read the first 2 books. Grant is tired of the way he has gone about to raise the funds he needs for his share. Actually he is pretty disgusted with
the whole affair. It caused a rift between him and his father that he is still trying to mend. When he meets a beautiful servant delivering him a message, he can't stop thinking of her. She is a breath of fresh air. He happens upon her again in a most embarrassing way and seeks her out to apologize.
Wren doesn't quite know what to make of the handsome gentleman, he seems so kind and good. Unfortunately looks are deceiving.
Thank you for this ARC, all opinions are my own. .#NetGalley #ARoguetoCherish

This is an entertaining and rather creative take on the regency romance genre that I feel fans of high stakes and soap opera plot twists will be sure to enjoy

This historical romance is part of a series that has disreputable rogues trying to raise money in their own special way. This time it is Grant Murray. I don't want to spoil anything for you, so I won't tell you how he normally makes his living.

Our heroine is fresh from the countryside to live with her aunt, and work for the same employer. Working for a high society matron proves to be an education for her.

The characters are all a lot of fun. The storyline is very amusing, and maybe a lesson in the different mindsets of men and women. You will meet the characters from previous books, but not learn enough to spoil their stories if you haven't read them yet. I can't wait to read the next one.

Great fun.

This is a splendid story of how two people live and survive. One that lives a lavish lifestyles and one that works for a living. Major decisions and sacrifices need to be made if Grant and Wren want a happy ever after. But can Wren forgive and forget Grant's lifestyle? You will want to read this 3rd book in the series. This author writes with humor, drama and life lessons that each of us can take along in our own lives. She is exceptional in both her writing skills and creativity.
