SO, SO CUTE. Thank you for a copy of this book in exchange for honest feedback. I really loved this book. The illustrations are what sells this to me. So cute! I know my animal loving niece (4 years old) would love this book and it would keep her attention! She can spot the animals and learn about them as she reads.

This was a really fun book with cute illustrations. I enjoyed reading this one to my son. I would highly recommend this book as a fun and engaging read for little kids.

Children will delight in seeing the behaviors of animals around the world that connect to their own experiences of sleep and rest. The illustrations are lovely, with strong palettes that bring the animals' habitat to life without being overly busy. However, the book would benefit from sharing the resources in the back that they used, or other books for further information. We teach our students to check the author's sources to help them determine if a source if well-researched -- and it's difficult with this one.

I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. An amazing j non-fiction title about how different animals sleep.

No stories here, just fascinating facts about how animals tuck in for the night, OR day. Some sleep on water, in a tree, or even midflight. Marie Stumpfova's illustrations are lovely, all soft and dreamy, and perfect for this book.

This is a Children's Non-fiction book. I have to start off by saying I had a hard time reading this book because the arc copy's formatting was off. I tried to read this book on my kindle and from the Netgalley app, and both of those ways had pages missing. I did read what I could, and I really liked what I read. My twin boys loves non-fiction books, and they really enjoyed this book. I felt the pictures were cute, and there were some great facts in this book. I received an ARC of this book. This review is my own honest opinion about the book like all my reviews are.

This book is exactly what the title says - about how animals sleep. This would be a great bedtime story for a small child. It would also be a great book to read to a classroom of older kids and then let them research how another animals sleeps and write and design their own page.

This book informs young readers how a selection of animals sleep. The illustrations are cute and the facts for each animal are interesting. The writing also encourages the reader’s curiosity to consider what the animal may dream about. This is a translated book, so does not flow as well. Still, the book is good to read as a bedtime story or a storytime exploring different animals.

Thank you NetGalley and Red Comet Press for this advanced copy. All opinions are my own.

How Animals Sleep is a super cute and accessible book. I absolutely love the illustrations (so adorable, so endearing, so well done!) and the content that comes with it is concise yet informative. There was a great balance of lots of quality information without making it too long. I think this would be an incredible intro to an animals unit, a sleep unit, or a non-fiction unit. I think even for secondary students this would be a great model of making a book or demonstration on a topic; for example I know a lot of teachers at my school do book art. I think this would be a great example of showing your knowledge on a topic and presenting it in an engaging way. My five year old loved this as much as I did. I think it would be great for any elementary classroom or library, public library, or secondary classroom or library as an example for a way to show knowledge, talk about a topic in an engaging way, or to read to siblings. It would also make a great gift especially for a baby shower with some pajamas, a blanket, a sound machine, etc.

I loved How Animals Sleep. Such beautiful artwork and interesting information about animals for people of all ages but especially for children. I’d buy this book for a kid in my life.

Thanks to the author and publisher fir the NetGalley e-arc I received.

The lyrical nature of the words mix surprisingly well considering that it's mostly facts, and the translators and author did a very good job of staying true to this.

Gorgeous illustrations and simple text make this a sweet bedtime book. Each 2-page spread focuses on one animal. The reader can enjoy the soft colors illustrating the animal in its habitat, in its favorite sleeping conditions.

This may have been even better if the author focused on one type of animals. Make a series! How Sea Animals Sleep, How Forest Animals Sleep, etc.

Than you Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC. I will purchase for my library.

This is a super cute book with beautiful drawings and it's chock full of information about...where animals sleep! My 6 year old and I would definitely recommend this one for your collection.

Based on the cover of this book, I expected it to be mostly illustrations showing the ways that animals sleep, but I learned a lot in the reading of this book. I learned that swifts float towards the ground as they sleep, and it even highlighted that dogs might sleep a lot, but they're still smelling and listening to their environment the whole time. I think this is a wonderful book for all young children to read and to pique their curiosity. The illustrations and writing are both beautiful. Highly recommend!

I thought this was just going to be cute but it was surprisingly informative. I loved it so much, I was actually feeling anxious thinking about what could happen while these animals were sleeping.
I would highly recommend this for all young children so they can become more interested in science. It's simply written, with charming illustrations, and I really felt a sense of wonder.
Thanks to NetGalley for letting me read this

I had a tough time reading this ARC on Kindle, as the formatting was off. But I could still see the charming illustrations of 16 creatures -- from pelicans to peacocks -- and read the brief descriptions of how they sleep. Recommended for young readers (4 to 6).

Thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the ARC.

Opinions are mine.
