Yes yes yes and yes. Weston Ryder, step on up, you are my fave rebel blue boy so far because I know once the next book comes out I’m gonna be down BAD for Gus.
Ada’s story breaks my heart. I love her so much and she deserves the love that she is given, I would like to go and karate kick her ex husband please and thank you. I just love that she gets the friends and family she needs and she fits in so well with the meadowlark crew.
I have no words to express how much I loved this book!!! Lyla Sage did it again. another book that was so cute and fun and sexy and cosy (yes, all at once).
being back at rebel blue ranch was exactly what I was needing. and it was perfect.
Ada and Wes are truly everything. the connection between the characters is so real and magical!!
I don’t think I’ll ever have words to properly explain how much I love and relate to these characters. I relate so much to both of them!!
it was beautiful to see them grow individually but also together as a couple.
and then the spice in this book? SO good. I truly loved it how they communicated about what they were feeling and their insecurities.
you can get your hands on this book on March 5th!! and trust me, you NEED this book.
thank you NetGalley and Lyla Sage for the ARC for this book.
Hmmm, I enjoyed this book a lot but something was just missing from it. Felt a bit rushed towards the second half of the book. Would still say it's a 4 star read, some parts felt a bit too surface level.
Wes was a cutie though, enjoyed his character a lot.
I found myself unexpectedly homesick for Rebel Blue, even before I realized it was a place I yearned for. Lyla's writing possesses a warmth and honesty that envelops you like a cozy embrace, making it feel like returning home. With every page turn, I was whisked back to a familiar, comforting world that I had sorely missed.
Ada and Wes, like a Taylor Swift mashup of Midnight Rain and Daylight, bring a unique charm to the story. Ada's resilience and Wes's unwavering support create a dynamic that is both heartwarming and deeply relatable. While I initially thought Ada would be the character I connected with most, it was Wes who stole the spotlight with his portrayal of depression and his journey toward healing. Lyla's handling of mental health issues from the perspective of the male main character felt refreshing and authentic.
Ada, with her journey of self-discovery and acceptance, is a protagonist to admire. Her profession as an interior designer added an extra layer of delight for me, mirroring my own interests. Watching her transformation and growth was a beautiful experience.
The slow-burn romance between Wes and Ada is a delightful treat, with every moment of connection feeling earned and rewarding. Wes's unwavering support for Ada is both heartening and inspiring, showcasing the transformative power of love and acceptance.
Overall, this book brought me pure joy from start to finish. I eagerly anticipate its release into the world, knowing it will touch the hearts of readers everywhere

This book! Honestly I have so much love for Lyla Sage and her writing and books. I read Done and Dusted then Swift and Saddled back to back and I just fell in love with Rebel Blue Ranch. The way the landscape is described is transportive. I could literally picture the Wyoming mountains and the clear sky. And I want to visit immediately.
What to expect:
Golden retriever MMC x Black Cat FMC
'Workplace' romance
Slow burn
Cowboy Romance
Found Family
Small Town Romance
Wes and Ada were the perfect team, working on a huge reno project on the Rebel Blue Ranch. Ada has been through an emotional time before coming to Rebel Blue so she didn't trust or understand that Wes was good through and through. Wes was understanding, patient and respectful. Honestly, pretty perfect. I mean a hot cowboy plus he also rescues and feeds a baby cow - I mean come on! He has typical middle child syndrome, while trying to please everyone he doesn't really take anything for himself.
But him and Ada support each other and open up emotionally and its a beautiful healthy relationship.
I especially love that there's isn't really any 3rd act breakups in these books.
I liked we got snippets of Brooks and Emmy throughout this one too. And I can't wait for the next book, I think I know who it will be about and I've been waiting for their story for the last 2 books. 👀
I read both these books over 3 days, so if you're looking for a quick really good cowboy Romance. This series is for you!
Thank you to Netgalley and Quercus Books for an ARC to review.
As soon as I finished Done and Dusted I just knew I needed more from Lyla Sage! And she did not disappoint 😍 Wes and Ada!!! This book was just absolute perfection and I don’t think I’ll ever move on from this! 😍🥹
There are no words for how much I loved this book! Done and Dusted was easily one of my favourite books I have read this year and then Swift and Saddled blew it out of the water!
Wes was the most wonderful and vulnerable MMC and Ada a fantastic FMC
The Ryder's are a wonderful family and I can't wait to read more about them
Dear god I’m obsessed with this universe!
The characters, the LOVE between them.
Emmy and Luke still have my whole heart, but I really enjoyed insight into Wes’s head AND of course getting some little sneaks for book #3.
THANK YOU Layla Sage 🤍
Listen, I didn’t think I had a thing for cowboys either but turns out, if Lyla Sage is the one writing them, I do.
My heart is so full right now, this was such a delightful read!
My kryptonite are gentle, attentive and loving MMCs that take the time to understand the FMC and their insecurities, breaking down their walls brick by brick, and Wes, my sunshine boy, does it so well!
Ada is such a lovely, hard-working and relatable character as well, I loved their dynamic! The golden retriever boy and black cat girl duo of my dreams.
I liked Done and Dusted but I do have to say that Lyla Sage outdid herself with this one. The mental health rep was soo good (truly, I loved and appreciated it a lot) and the pacing felt better.
And the thing that makes this series so special and comforting is the family dynamics. The whole Ryders family, and everyone they’ve adopted into it, like Teddy or Cam, gives off such a comfort, their love and support for each other so apparent, it truly warms your heart and makes you hope that one day, you’ll be lucky enough to experience something similar to it. I can’t wait for the next book in this series!
Thank you so much to Netgalley and Quercus for providing me with an earc in exchange for an honest review!
Swift and Saddled is out March 5th, 2024!

Goodness, this was just the cutest story! 💘
I really enjoyed it so much, especially the all-time-golden-retriever MMC Wes, the SWEETEST! I haven’t read a book with a MMC as thoughtful and gentle as Wes and I really appreciated that. This story was an amazing follow-up to Done and Dusted: fans of Emmy and Brooks, get ready to see so much more of them in this book, I personally LOVE that 🫶🏼
Also, Ada was sooo relatable a lot of times. I had some moments just thinking to myself “this is so me!!!” and honestly, love that (especially the one about being home by 9:30 got me good).
I thought the vibes were immaculate, just like in book 1. I just want to book a flight to Wyoming to pursue my own cowboy romance - despite being in a very healthy relationship of 5 years with someone who’s afraid of horses - to ride horses and save calves with. Swoon! 🤍🐎
The perfect recommendation for all of you Cowboy Romance girlies out there. This book will make you very happy and excited for book 3, coming in November 🥹🤠
Thank you so much to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange of a review! Swift and Saddled will be available to purchase and read on March 5th 💌
I knew this would get me out of my reading slump! Another gorgeous addition to the series. I loved coming back to familiar characters and a familiar setting, it felt like coming home. Wes and Ada are a stunning couple who provided us with the perfect amount of steam and romance. I also loved to see the roots of two other potential couples being planted within this story and I can't wait - roll on book 3!
I've only read one cowboy romance before but now I want to read way more of them!!
I basically read this in one day. It feels like a big warm hug to read. I really loved being introduced to Rebel Blue Ranch (because yes, I haven't read Done and Dusted - but I will soon) and all of the Ryder family and friends! I loved reading about Ada and West meeting each other and then becoming friends and then... ? The development of Ada throughout the story is great too, as she learns to love herself and others once more.
I also adore all of the side characters and can't wait to read more about them in other books in the series!
You should read this if you like:
🤠 cowboy romance
🤠 city girl x country boy
🤠 forced proximity
🤠 insta lust/attraction
🤠 still a slowburn!!
🤠 cute animals
🤠 driving lessons
🤠 happily ever afters
Thank you the author, publisher and NetGalley for an e-ARC of Swift and Swaddled! All opnions are my own.
This book was so easy to fly through. I ate it up. Coming back to Rebel Blue Ranch. The characters are so easy to like and you can't help but just get invested. But with all this, I still prefer Luke. It was a good book, but it did not hit the same as the first one.
Thank you Netgalley and Lyla Sage for the ARC.
✨️Small town
✨️Cowboy romance
✨️Mental health rep
✨️Forced proximity
✨️Black cat/golden retriever energy
I loved Done & Dusted but Swift & Saddled was above and beyond my expectations. It is the perfect combination of steamy and sweet, with the cosy small town vibe introduced in the first novel.
Reading Swift and Saddled felt like being wrapped in a warm blanket. I never wanted it to end.
Can't wait for the next book <3 !!!!
Favorite Quotes:
I wanted him - the man that looked at me like I was worth looking at.
For the first time in a long time, I wondered what it might be like to be not just liked, but loved.
"You are talented, tenacious and funny. I would never insult you by calling you something as generic as nice."
Kissing Wes was the closest thing I'd ever had to a religious experience.
"You're the moon and I'm the tides. You pull me in without even trying, and I come to you willingly. I always will."
"I'm not going to say what I want to say because I know you're not here yet, but I want you to know that I'm here. And that I'm waiting."
The sky could fall right now - the titan that held it up could collapse, and I wouldn't care. Because who needed the sky when I had Ada Hart?

I absolutely adored this book.
I had only just finished reading the first in the series, Done and Dusted, when I simply had to read this practically straight after. This was a beautiful small town, cowboy romance that brought us back to spend time with all the characters we know and love. It felt wonderful to be reunited with all the characters we've grown to know, especially Luke and Emmy, and to see how their relationship has blossomed.
The narrative follows the female main character, Ada, who has just been hired by Wes to sort out the Big House. Little do they know, they have already met in the bar only a day before. I really enjoyed learning more about Wes and what he is like. I felt like Lyla Sage always does a fantastic job at making these characters seem real with their 'flaws' and I genuinely believed that Wes was a real cowboy. The particular mention of antidepressants made this feel raw and it was fantastic to see some representation of male mental health.
Generally the character development was beautiful. Sage always keeps us on our toes for the development and I found myself really rooting for Ada and Wes as a couple. They had a lot of love and kindness in their hearts. My favourite part had to be when Wes taught Ada how to drive manual. I could not cope.
Overall, another delightful read from Lyla Sage and I already cannot wait to read the next one.
This ARC was kindly provided to me in return for an honest review.
This was a gorgeous, cozy romance with little drama - just realistic conflict, lovely interactions and some tip top romance, especially from our MMC! I really enjoyed the first in this series, and the sequel definitely does not disappoint! Wes and Ada are such a gorgeous couple, with a real and down to earth romance! This was just two people meeting and falling in love, and trying to figure out the logistics of their lives together! There’s no massive misunderstandings or betrayals, and returning to Rebel Blue Ranch and watching their relationship unfold was like a cosy blanket! I really enjoyed that they were both adults, with their own lives, their own goals and their own baggage and the major conflict was how to integrate together and create a relationship that works and is healthy. Both characters are well fleshed out, and it was refreshing to see Wes’ mental health difficulties just be present and a part of his character, something he is aware of and manages but it is not all consuming and used as a plot device. It’s thoughtfully included and done really well, imo. Same with Ada, she has a cynical bent and some baggage she’s dragging along but it is not all magically fixed by a relationship. She’s slow to open up to people and an introvert, and that’s not something that needs to change in order for her and Wes to be together. She has low self esteem and genuine worries about them being together (such as her work and her divorce), but both characters make an effort to communicate and tackle these problems head on, and it gives us a mature relationship that I can genuinely get behind! The spicy scenes are well done, and gives us insight into them as a couple as well as their individual personalities and wants - and I liked that it was magically easy and that they had fumbles to work through. We get some excellent scenes of the two together, and some are surprisingly wholesome!
We also get just enough of the secondary characters - we get some nice updates on Brooks/Emmy as well as some hints for our next couple and enough backstory on the family as a whole without them taking over the story. Overall, this was a well-worth-it sequel, Ada and Wes were such a sweet couple and I really enjoyed their romance! I can’t wait to return for the rest of the series.
3.5 stars
Ada comes to the ranch to help renovate the old Big House and discovers the rancher she has been talking too for months is not an old timer like she expected, but an incredibly handsome man she had an unexpectedly passionate kiss with the night before. Wes hopes that their instant attraction will grow while they are working together but Ada has always been a little withdrawn and her interaction with him previously was very out of character for her. They both have their own issues to deal with and I thought Wes’s was dealt with quite systematically and Ada definitely seemed to need more understanding to deal with hers. I liked the family/friends interaction and how Ada and Wes were with each other. I would say this I was grumpy/sunshine but in reverse and I do prefer the more traditional way. Wes was lovely, but a little too nice for my taste. I did warm to Ada but it did take a while.
Loved coming back to Rebel Blue and meeting another gorgeous cowboy. Ada and Wes were easy to like and I enjoyed reading a romance where he gives her space to find her emotions. This was spicy, light and fun - finished it in a day. Excited that in the bonus chapter we see the next book is about Teddy.
This was so much fun! A gorgeous romance between a cynical city-slicker and a sunshine-in-human-form, delightfully charming cowboy.
Lyla Sage is one to watch in romance fiction. Her books are effortless - very easy to read, but with plenty going on below the surface. I devoured this in a day, racing through it, even as I didn't want it to ever end! There's lots to enjoy here, but I have to give her her kudos for how she handled the set-up of the series. There were nice call backs to Done & Dusted, but it didn't feel like we were just getting Emmy & Luke part two - the focus was firmly on Wes and Ada. This is something so many series authors don't do well - but Lyla has the perfect balance! And nicely hinted at what I'm hoping will be follow ups about Cam and Dusty, and (the book I'm already thinking will change my life!) Teddy and Gus.
Loved it. Excellent cover, excellent book!
I think it's time I finally admit that I really enjoy cowboy romance books. That was definitely not on my life bingo card, but here we are!
I loved so many things about this book. Wes was the absolute sweetest and Ada was super relatable. Learning more about all the characters from book 1 has me excited to see where this series goes next. The Ryder family makes me wish I had that in real life!
When is book 3 out??
Thank you Netgalley for an advanced copy.
