I dont usually like post-apocalyptic books as well as YA novels but the plot of this story was very much interesting to me so i requested for an ARC copy. I am very glad to say that i tried this book.
The story moves like a thriller novel with lots of action scenes but the thing that impressed me the most is the view point of both the protagonist and the antagonist and how they look at the particular scenario. Another thing i liked about this book is the characters. The characters are well thought out and they feel like real characters to me and especially this book being YA, i didn't find any annoying characters at all.
Overall very good debut novel and looking forward for the sequel.
Theme: An imminent apocalypse in 2024 told from the viewpoint of both the protagonist and the antagonist sides. But who really are the bad guys?
Dust to Dust is an action thriller sci-fi novel.
If you like detailed descriptions of action scenes, this sci-fi book is for you. Each character is carefully described in their thoughts and actions. The fight scenes are worthy of a Chuckle Norris film, particularly the last several chapters.
The extremely detailed descriptive writing sets each scene that immerses me in the setting and character perspective. In fact, descriptions are often repetitive and helps sort the attributes and helps keep track of the numerous characters. After 65% of book read, Sometimes it read like a screenplay, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Sequel to come.
