In Redemption's Edge by Alyssa Day, Meara Delacourt and Edge gives new meaning to forbidden love. The concluding story in the Vampire Motorcycle Club brings these two together fighting against the evil that plans to take over. Besides fighting the enemy they find that they are also fighting their attraction, feeling and desire for each other to no avail in the end. I found the mystery not if they would defeat the enemy but would their love destroy them. Characters from the first two novels make appearance along with some other paranormal beings in this fight against the true evil.

Motorcycle Clubs are not my favorite type of books but these are excellent. It seems that vampires do it better. Perhaps reading the books in order would enhance the enjoyment of this one. That’s what I did but then someone else may enjoy this one on its own.

An ARC of the book was provided by the publisher through NetGalley which I voluntarily chose to read and review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Oh the angst, the agony. Edge finds himself falling in love just like the others around him. Except it could be fatal for him. Meara is afraid of losing control so she avoids feelings but oh how she might want to risk it for Edge. Watching Edge and Meara fight their feelings was as frustrating for me as it was for them. Thankfully they had plenty to do to keep themselves busy.
Redemption’s Edge is a fantastic finale to this series. High powered energy with a fun love story.

This book has everything it needs to be a good - a great event - read. Smart, funny and witty characters, a good lore and even a captivating plot. Still it fell short at some times, there were too many repetitive moments and some of the characters behavior became bothersome.
All in all with a little updating and editing this book could be a great addition to the next « batch » of paranormal romances coming to market.

This is a "Could NOT put it down" book! Although it is part of a series it is written so well it could be a standalone. The characters are well written, and the story line held my the interest to the end.

Coming off an excellent read of Book 2, Hunters Hope, I was really looking towards Meara and Edges story. Redemptions Edge is a wonderful conclusion. Paranormal, sizzling scenes, angst, and Alyssa Days trademark humor in all things. No matter what life throws at the Vamps, Werewolves, Ghost Whisper, Angel Hybrid, Witches' and humans, there is always family, love, and humor. I would have been happy with a book 4, to give more of Luke's story and the Max and Carters story as the ending felt a little rushed, but loved the epilogue. Redemptions Edge had more highly charged intimate scenes, darkness and fast pace. Treat yourself to the series. #RedemptionsEdge #VampireMotorcyleClub #AlyssaDay #Entangled:Amara #NetGalley

This is the final book for the Vampire Motorcycle Club series and while I enjoyed the complex plot and all of the secondary characters to get to this climax, something was lacking that didn't light a fire for me while reading it.

Meara Delacourt is a tough woman. Hardened by her long life and vampire ways. It hasn't been easy to survive as long as she has without her tough outer shell and there aren't many people she would even consider lowering it for. Edge is one of those who could make it past her walls, only if he lowered his own at the same time. These two are both running from a past, danger is extremely high for both of them and, their strong will made it difficult to see any vulnerability because of it. I think there in lies the problem, at least it did for me. Two people who were just too similar to bend in any direction didn't offer a lot of wiggle room for feelings. They knew too much, but also not enough when it came to softness or love. It was hard to connect when they pulled away over and over again.

However, like I said, fighting the Council, the over-all-plot of suspense, and just having the intense pressure of will Edge die if he actually falls for Meara was very good. Hence the four stars, but their connection just didn't connect for me like I was hoping it would. I also loved having the wolves in the story, which always adds some comedy along with amping up the other paranormals which also made the story exciting and moved the suspense.

Redemption’s Edge is the final book in Alyssa Day’s Vampire Motorcycle Club series and ties up all the threads from the previous two books, while still including enough back story that a new reader will not be confounded of reading this as a standalone. There is a potential for more stories in the future, but the author has provided a satisfying conclusion.

There is plenty of action, intensity and emotion within the story and the surprise developments to keep readers on their toes. Redemption’s Edge is an enjoyable and entertaining book which will appreciated by lovers of the vampire genre.

Having read the previous books, this could be a stand-alone, but you'd miss a lot of characters history. This story wraps up all the hanging threads from previous reads with lots of adventure, action, angst of the main characters and a love story in the midst of paranormal war. If this is the last it was tied up well, but could branch out to a whole new set of adventures or novellas. Good tight writing with a lot of steam in this one. Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for a fun read of old friends for a honest opinion.

When I said I loved the previous books in this series, I had no idea that the last book would truly be the most intellectually daring, the most wickedly alluring, and the most moltenly passionate of them all. Not only does Redemption's Edge perfectly complete this brilliantly sensual series, but it highlights the most important parts of life that we need to savor and cherish like love, hope, and friendship. This story truly emboded an exquisite phoenix who lived fully, fought fiercely, and rose from the ashes regally for all to see.

Merea has walked the Earth for over three hundred years, and for all of her pursuits and learning, she has never found love. Her extensive battle strategy and endless financial means don't bring her the hope and warmth of a mate. Instead, they can only offer her a cold hard reality that she can shape into her every whim. Edge has endured what no man should ever have to in the name of science and lies. He has done everything he can to protect those he loves, but he can't protect himself from love. When the wishes of the heart could do more than just undo him, can he find the strength to walk away from a passion so hot that it brands him for eternity, or will he hurtle himself into the very flames that could end his world before he shatters his own heart?

At face value, Edge and Merea do not work as a couple. She is fashion conscious philanthropist who enjoys the company of others while Edge is a scientist who prefers his books to people. While desperate to solve his own perosonal dilemma, he never hesitates to watch the always curious and sometimes infuriating Merea. His heart won't let her get way from him unscathed. While others might not look past her happy, bright exterior, only he seems to see that there is so much more to her than one could imagine. No matter how much she may want to hide, she knows she can't hide her true self from his perseptive and gentle gaze. She will find that they share more in common then meets the eye when their hearts finally get involved.

I am truly and honestly blown away by this incredible masterpiece! Nothing could have prepared me for the magnificent power and awe-inspiring love that is imbeded into each page. Day is without a doubt a romance goddess for creating this marvelously brilliant and deviously powerful story of love and hope for all of us to savor and learn from. When you talk about a larger than life self-sacrificing love, you are beginning to understand the type of love that grew and bound Merea and Edge into an unbreakable pair that not even one of them could destroy. Love doesn't make mistakes, so when it matches you with another hold on and surrender to it completely. Doing anything else just wastes time and causes unnecessary pain and suffering.

This is such a good read! You get ancient vampires, demons, both evil and good magic users and an ending to smile at. It's fast paced and original with great characters.

This is a great series and I really loved Meara and Edge's story. It was hopeful and raw. Day's writing is tight and entertaining. I highly recommend this series.

What more could you ask for in a novel? Romance, mystery, adventure and sex all bottled up into one great read! I thoroughly enjoyed it!

New characters mixed with old. You miss a lot of backstory if you start here. Does not keep you from enjoying the story as it progresses. Can’t feel not so. Danger tension and romance are all here.

A solid conclusion to the Vampire Motorcycle Club series, this book closes all the threads left from the previous two, while still including enough back story that a new reader will not be lost reading it. There is a potential for more stories but it does have a satisfying conclusion.

I basically read this book in one sitting, only taking a break for eating supper. Between the action, the emotion, a d the new revelations that kept coming, I didn't want to stop reading. An excellent book for those who enjoy vampire stories, or urban fantasy in general.

I’ve been reading this author for years, and I decided to try this series. I haven’t read the previous books in the series, but the author does a terrific job making sure that you don’t miss anything if so. I thought this was an excellently written novel with a little angst, romance, and suspense. It leans a little more towards romance than I like, but that’s only a personal preference, not a slam against this book. I loved Maera and Edge, and their journey towards each other. If you’ve read the previous two books in the series, you will love this latest addition. If you haven’t, don’t be afraid to dive in. Recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

This concluding story to the Vampire Motorcycle Club series belongs to Maera and Edge, the vampire scientist who doesn't think he has emotions. The story has appearances of the prior characters from the first two stories.

After the lead up of these two characters in the prior books, I was looking forward to learning more about these two characters. I think more character development on those two would have been helpful in this story. When they weren't lamenting on why they couldn't be together, the rest of the story was good. In order to not contain spoilers, I will just say that the final scenes in the story were very satisfactory and a good wrap up to the building crescendo.

While this story could be read as a standalone, the reader will miss much of the background if the first two books aren't read.

3.5 stars
