I love the concept of not one amazing author.
This is a brilliant idea, 6 well known authors in one book, I wouldn't have looked at some before but very surprised how much I enjoy this book.

As the saying goes don't judge a book by its cover, but this book just made me want to get more from these authors.

Absolutely loved this collection of short stories! I was immediately drawn to The Improbable Meet-Cute because - how can you not love reading meet-cute romances?! Since I’m already familiar with most of the authors, I couldn’t wait to dive in. Each story was amazing - I didn’t want them to end! You fall fast for the characters and their happy endings. Would highly recommend this adorable collection.

Six short stories that all occur on or center around Valentine's Day. It was a really fun way to be introduced to some new to me authors! Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC of The Improbable Meet-Cute Collection.

The Exception to the Rule by Christina Lauren: 5 stars. This was a super cute one, I was smiling so much. I loved the concept, definitely my favorite plot of the six short stories. Thinking back, it doesn't feel like a short story, it felt like a complete story without being rushed. Very impressive! Just one cringy over the top moment that pulled me out of the story... But I can get over it since I was hooked from beginning to end.

Worst Wingman Ever by Abby Jimenez: 5 stars. In true Abby fashion, this story was sweet, funny, and very emotional. I felt all the feels. I'm very impressed with how well flushed out the characters were for a short story, even the side characters had some depth to them. It was really well done. The only downside was the ending, I wanted more, and felt a little jipped! But overall, this one was my favorite of this short story collection.

Rosie and the Dreamboat by Sally Thorne: 4 stars. Another super cute one that left me smiling a lot. I loved the two main characters chemistry. But it really felt like the first few chapters to a novel, it didn't feel like a complete story. I would love to read a full novel on these two!

Drop, Cover, and Hold On by Jasmine Guillory: 3 stars. This one was a little disappointing given how much I liked the first three, but it was still a fun read. There were some good fundamentals to this story and characters but I didn't feel the depth I felt in the first three.

With Any Luck by Ashley Poston: 4 stars. This was a really fast read and probably had the most developed plot of the six short stories. I really liked the lead characters but wanted to get to know them a little more for a bigger impact. Fun plot!

Royal Valentine by Sariah Wilson: 3 stars. This was a fun concept and enjoyed the plot, but for some reason I didn't connect super well with the characters. Still entertaining but I had little vested interested.

These six short stories were so incredibly fun (not to mention written by some of todays best)! Some were more lighthearted than others but it definitely put me in a lovely Valentine’s Day mood. I can see this doing really well come its release date.

THE IMPROBABLE MEET-CUTE COLLECTION by some of my favorite romance authors were absolutely adorable! They were all the perfect length for short stories with no extra fluff included but still made you feel connected to the characters 🩷

THE EXCEPTION TO THE RULE - this one by Christina Lauren was my favorite! Uniquely written using email interactions with a years long romance filled with fun banter and LOL moments. *chefs kiss* 🤌🏻

WORST WINGMAN EVER - adorably full of Abby Jimenez’s fun banter paired with emotional depth and cutesy love notes 🫶🏻

ROSIE AND THE DREAMBOAT - this one by Sally Thorne surprised me in the best way! Super witty, funny, and a hilarious meet cute 🙌🏻

DROP, COVER, AND HOLD ON - Jasmine Guillorys grumpy x sunshine meet cute was my least fave. This one felt insta lovey in a way none of the others did. It’s just a personal preference that I don’t care for insta love 🤷🏼‍♀️

WITH ANY LUCK - both of Ashley Postons novels have been five stars for me, but this fell short. Theres nothing specific I can put my finger on except that I just wasn’t invested ☹️

ROYAL VALENTINE - give me a royal romance featuring a princess switcheroo any day 👏🏻 this was my first read by Sariah Wilson and won’t be my last!

Thank you so much to Amazon Original Stories for the arc of this collection ❣️

This was such a wonderful compilation of short stories. Whomever picked the authors deserves a medal. The collection was curated with a romance lover in mind and it did not disappoint. I loved all of the shorts and could not pick a favorite if asked. While reading these stories, I found a few new authors to look out for and am excited to have read their short and get to know their style.

Thank you for the advance copy, I have given my honest opinion.

I loved this collection of stories! Each story was unique yet had a common thread of being adorable meet cutes. The authors represented in this collection are some of my favorites so my expectations before reading were pretty high, yet they were exceeded. I especially loved how some of the stories were linked in subtle ways. I would definitely read more of these!

These short stories were great!
I loved that you didn’t have to suffer through the parts where the MMC and MFC were fighting before they came together.

These stories were funny, sweet, and a perfect mix of authors I LOVE and new ones to add to my rotation.

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Amazon is dropping a new collection of short stories guaranteed to make you swoon and believe in happy ever afters! From six romance authors you know and love come six adorable couples meeting in unpredictable ways. These quick reads range from 40 to 100 pages each, just enough for a sweet valentine treat!

The Exception to the Rule by Christina Lauren – 4 stars: After accidentally sending an email to the wrong recipient, C and T have been mostly anonymously exchanging Valentine’s Day emails for a decade when they finally meet in an adorable and hilarious way and sparks fly. This was such a cute novella and I loved how the email exchanges covered a lot of ground and made the MCs and their relationship feel fully developed.

Worst Wingman Ever by Abby Jimenez – 5 stars: Holly, a hospice nurse caring for her dying grandma, finds a sweet and spicy Valentines Day card on her windshield – except it wasn’t meant for her! John, the handyman and “wingman” left the card on a white Honda in the parking lot as instructed, but it turns out there are a lot of white Hondas and he got the wrong one! I don’t know how the magnificent Abby Jimenez managed to write such a lovely, witty, and emotional story that tugged on my heartstrings in only 60 pages, but I absolutely loved this heartfelt story!

Rosie and the Dreamboat by Sally Thorne – 5 stars: Rosie and her sister are having a Galentine’s spa day when Rosie finds herself locked inside a flotation tank and unable to escape. When emergency responders arrive, a flirty firefighter is her link to the outside world, keeping her calm and distracted while she’s trapped. She can’t see him, but he sure sounds dreamy! This sweet, silly, and witty storyline and flirty banter are adorable!

Drop, Cover, and Hold on by Jasmine Guillory – 3 stars: Daisy Murray loves to visit the bakery with its scrumptious desserts and equally mouthwatering bakery owner. Too bad he’s always scowling and rude when she comes in. When an earthquake traps them together, the ground isn’t the only thing that’s shaking! This is a cute story but it felt a little rushed, leaving me wishing it was longer.

With Any Luck by Ashley Poston – 4 stars: Audrey Love is the best “maid” at her best guy friend’s wedding. She’s always been lucky in lots of little ways but unlucky in love. When the groom disappears with only hours until the ceremony, she thinks her love curse has reared its head again, but maybe Luck is finally coming her way. This cute enemies-to-lovers short story is full of action and heart!

Royal Valentine by Sariah Wilson – 4 stars: This Roman Holiday-inspired short story has ties to the author’s backlist series, The Royals of Monterra. Princess Ilaria trades places with her assistant to play tourist for the weekend. A handsome Scottish photographer finds her deeply asleep on the Spanish Steps and the chemistry is instantaneous. He doesn’t seem to know who she really is, but when the paparazzi catches up with them, the truth will come out! This secret royal story is a cute whirlwind around Rome and I would gladly read a full length book about Ilaria and Callum!

Many thanks to NetGalley and Amazon Publishing for providing me an advance copy of this book collection.

Some of these were really fantastic! some I felt very mediocre about.

The Exception to the Rule -
This was such a cute short story! Two strangers brought together by a mistyped email address start a multi year correspondence and slowly start to fall for each other. Honestly enjoyed it from start to finish! It is very short but I still felt like I got a full story that I was fully invested in the outcome.

Worst Wingman Ever-
Abby is the best at combining humor and heartache so while this was sad in parts, it was also funny and hopeful and inspiring. I went through a surprising gamut of emotions considering how short this is! Very much enjoyed this meet cute.

Rosie and the Dreamboat-
Cute, a little silly, and a lot of fun! FMC gets trapped in a float tank and MMC is the fireman who rescues her. They flirt as they await a solution to her predicament. They’re both charming and it was a lot of fun to read!

Drop Cover and Hold On -
This was cute but not my favorite. Unlike the other stories it’s not a meet cute, the couple already knows each other. They get trapped in the MMCs bakery after and earthquake and finally admit they have feelings for each other which leads to some kissing. It was fine, but didn’t feel like it fit in with the rest since it wasn’t a meet cute.

With Any Luck-
Cute but disjointed. This was too short for flashbacks to work well for me, it just felt disjointed and rushed. We got a tiny bit of past and tiny bit of present. This is the only one in this collection that just felt too short. Great premise though!

Royal Valentine
Undercover royal romance a la Roman Holiday. Very quick slice of a story featuring a royal family from the author’s backlist so it didn’t feel like a true standalone, but it was pleasant enough. A little bland but cute.
