Overall as a series of books they were all quick and cute reads. My personal favorite was The Exception to the Rule by Christina Lauren, was thrilled to get a bonus Abby Jimenez book for the year and was exposed to four additional authors that I have never read before, but I know are very loved by the reading community,
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! No spoilers. Beyond amazing I enjoyed this book so very much. The characters and storyline were fantastic. The ending I did not see coming Could not put down nor did I want to. Truly Amazing and appreciated the whole story. This is going to be a must read for many many readers. Maybe even a book club pick.
The collection itself was cute. I definitely connected with some of the stories/authors more than others. Will read more by most of them. My rating is reflective of the whole collection, not individual stories.
What a wonderful little mini-series. Came for Abby Jimenez, stayed for all the other wonderful authors, and the wonderful way the stories intertwined with each other. Had to read them all several times to make sure I didn't miss anything. And I'm STILL not sure I caught everything! Beautifully done!
My favorite of this series was Abby J's book! I love her writing. My second favorite was the Christina Lauren book. I loved how these books were fast but fun reads! I would love to see another series like this.
Absolutely enjoyed this! Perfect for Valentines Day, I enjoyed Abby Jimenez and Christina Lauren's stories the most.
The Improbable Meet-Cute is a heartwarming anthology by some of romance's finest authors: Christina Lauren, Abby Jimenez, Sally Thorne, Jasmine Guillory, Ashley Poston, and Sariah Wilson. This delightful collection features a series of charming short stories, each centered around an unexpected and whimsical meet-cute. Each story is filled with humor, charm, and unforgettable characters. Perfect for romance enthusiasts, this book is a delightful escape into a world where love can bloom in the most improbable circumstances. 🌟📖💕 Highly recommended for a cozy weekend read!
I loved this collection of short stories. I am familiar with all of these authors and have enjoyed previous books by them. I loved the short story format as it was easy to read just one at a time.
My favorite was Worst Wingman Ever by Abby Jimenez.
I enjoyed all of them- it was fun to see what the authors would do with the short form.
Thanks to the publisher for sharing these with me. All opinions are my own.
I don't typically read novellas because its hard to feel connected to the characters, but all of these authors are incredible at making you feel connected to the stories even with a short story. These stories made me smile and swoon and they were a perfect quick read.
This was such a fun read! Of course the knockout, for me, was Abby Jimenez. I also read works by several authors I hadn’t read before which is what’s nice about this type of collection.
These were great short stories. I especially loved Christina Lauren and Abby Jimenez's stories. They were short but still made me swoon like their other full length books.
Short rom-coms written by some of my favorite authors?
Yes please.
These were all a delight. It was so fun to see what these authors could do in a 50-100 page story.
Of course Christina Lauren, Abby Jimenez and Jasmine Guillory wrote my favorites.
Each of these novellas are spectacular, but combining all six into a huge romantic, gooey mess of a bundle?! What a true gift to readers!
I thought 2 out of the 6 short stories were amazing! Abby Jimenez and Christina Lauren's novellas I thoroughly enjoyed. The others, however, I did not enjoy as much.
The Exception to the Rule by Christina Lauren: How is this the best thing that Christina Lauren has ever written? Why did I cry at the end of this novella? Probably had to do with the You’ve Got Mail coded story. I loved this 30 min of my life while reading this.
Worst Wingman Ever by Abby Jimenez: I would read this woman’s grocery list and give it 5 stars.
Rosie and the Dreamboat by Sally Thorne: This was a goofy meet-cute. entertaining, but cheesy!
Drop, Cover, and Hold on by Jasmine Guillory: Wake me up when it’s over.
With Any Luck by Ashley Poston: This story was unremarkable.
Royal Valentine by Saliah Wilson: This one was somewhat better, but overused storyline.
These books were all so much fun! I loved how they were all slightly connected if you read them in order but complete novella stand alones! My favorite was Rosie and The Dreamboat!
Loved all of these short stories. I think all of these authors coming together are a treat. Every story is worth reading!
So stinking cute! Absolutely loved these short stories from some of my favorite authors! Such a fun read.
I didn’t love all of the books in this grouping, but they were great pallet cleaners! Funny and full of quipped dialogue.
These were so much fun. My favorite was Worst Wingman Ever by Abby Jimenez. My only complaint for all of them is that I wish they were longer!
Some of these books were a hit but other ones just seemed rushed and I know it’s short stories but there is a way to build up chemistry in a short period of time but some of these stories didn’t have that written in spark that I was hoping for.
