Absolutely loved this gem of a book! When I saw that one of my favorite RomCom Authors was included, I jumped at the opportunity to read the collection. The short stories included are all fantastic, fun, and read smoothly. I don't often read collections, but I am happy I received this because I discovered other authors that write Meet-Cutes. Thanks Netgalley!!!

This was overall a completely adorable series of meet cute books, by some incredible authors. There were so many fun characters and I loved the way each of the stories ended! I think these will be enjoyed by so many readers in the near future.

6 short stories about meeting your person in an unexpected way - whether it's an earthquake, a valentine, or passing out nearby, these stories are funny, warm and quite frankly delightful!

I'm not normally a short story collection reader, but with Abby Jimenez in the mix, I knew I needed to read this, and I'm so glad I did! I loved the small connections between the stories, and I loved all the possibilities the authors covered within the different stories. My favorite was Rosie and the Dreamboat because I identified so much with Rosie, comparing myself to my sister all the time. I found myself smiling often when reading these stories, and I devoured the book in only two sittings!

I highly recommend this collection to anyone who needs a good romance pick-me-up! 5 stars!

My thanks to NetGalley and Montlake for the chance to read this book - all opinions and thoughts are mine.

A collection of short stories, all romances taking place around Valentine’s Day.

Partner up six fan favorite romance authors, and you set readers up for 3 hours of continuous boosts of serotonin. Armed and ready with swoon-worthy meet-cutes, readers will be thrilled to wrap up each short story with a HEA ending, albeit slightly sad to have to let the characters go so soon.

The compilation kicks off with the chance to get to witness characters connecting on an intimate level through emails. I was invested from start to finish.

Readers will also enjoy an emotionally charged story that explores the complex feelings of grief with intertwined moments of humor. I loved that story 2 was written in dual POV and felt the pacing was so well done that it did not read like a short story.

Adding comedic relief, story 3 has a FMC who regularly encounters misfortune in her life, eventually requiring the service of a modern-day knight in shining armour. You can't help but swoon for the MMC and find yourself rooting for them to connect in this insta love story.

If you like a bit of chaos and miscommunication in your romance, then there may be a novella here for you. Personally, the FMCs narration in story #4 was a little overwhelming. While the concept had potential, there was a lot happening in a short period of time, and the pacing just didn't agree with me.

The second to last meet-cute included superstition and a family curse that followed a F/M best friend scenario that has your mind scrambling to solve a romantic mystery. My predictions evolved as the story continued, and it made it an enjoyable yet quirky read.

The compilation wrapped up with a royal encounter that is sure to excite the generation who grew up with The Princess Diaries and The Princess Protection Agency. Readers are sure to be swooned by this MMC, and anticipation will build as secrets come to surface.

Overall, this was an adorable series of Meet Cutes that romance lovers are sure to enjoy.

Thank you to Netgalley for providing me with a copy of this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Thanks to Amazon Publishing for an advanced copy of The Improbable Meet Cute Collection!

This was such a fun short story collection by 6 authors I adore. Perfect for Valentine's Day! I loved the little strings that held these stories together. The Christina Lauren story is the best, but they are were great!

3.75 stars.

I adored the first 3 short stories in the collection!! They were so good. However, the last 3 didn't do it for me sadly.

Huge thanks to NetGalley & Amazon Original Stories for an advance copy in exchange for an honest review!

I realized after reading the short stories of these amazing authors, that I prefer long stories. lol. The authors are so good at fleshing out their main characters and their storylines. Short stories do not allow the time for that. That being said, who doesn’t love a light romantic read on Valentine’s Day. My favorite stories were Christina Lauren’s and Abby Jimenez’s, but that does not mean the others were lacking. Also, the crossovers were amazing to catch!

This series of books are short stories of meet cutes that happen near or on Valentine’s Day. I liked the concept of these books, especially bc I love meet cutes, and overall they were all good to great. Here are my mini reviews

Christina Lauren - 5⭐️ - loved it. I love text/email chains so this was right up my alley. It was super cute and felt reminiscent of making online friends back in the day.
Abby Jimenez - 4⭐️ - I didn’t feel the normal Abby magic with this one, and maybe that’s because this has heavier tones, but it definitely had her banter and humor
Sally Thorne - did not read - I’m not really a fan of Sally’s books so I skipped this one
Jasmine Guillory- 3 ⭐️- I liked the premise, but I thought the characters were annoying lol. This felt the most improbable of the meet cutes for how silly they acted
Ashley Poston - 5 ⭐️- loved this one too. It’s like second chance meets the hangover lol. I thought it was cute!
Sarah Wilson - 5⭐️- this has everything I love! Walking date/getting to know you/ traveling in Rome. This was my first book by Sarah and I can’t wait to check her out!

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for this arc in exchange for an honest review. I love love short stories and especially the email format. I finished this one in one setting. Love the twists and turns. A very cute meet cute collection by some of my most favourite romcom authors. I excited for other readers to get their hands on this.

I am not a huge fan of short stories, but these were so cute! My favorites were Worst Wingman Ever and The Exception to the Rule. I loved how every story was set and centered around Valentine’s day, a small similarity that connected these stories together. The lineup of authors in this is so great, all wonderful romance authors who I’ve read books from before made me that much more excited to read this.

This book contains 6 short stories all taking place on valentines day and feature a "meet-cute" scenario for the main characters. My personal favourites were those by Christina Lauren and Abby Jimenez but all of them were very good! Short stories aren't always my thing but all of these surprisingly worked for me. The story by Jasmine Guillory is spicier then the rest!

Overall, this is the perfect book for Valentine's Day and definitely recommend to romance fans.

The Improbable Meet-Cute was such a fun read!
This collection of short stories is the perfect addition to any romance readers list. The stories are all the perfect length (between 30-45 minutes) and all feel like the books we know and love from these authors. While I don’t typically read a lot of short stories or novellas, I did enjoy these a lot - I wish some could have been full books but I feel like they were all complete stories. This book would make a perfect valentines gift!

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC copy in exchange for my honest review.

This was so fun! I truly enjoyed each story. Perfect little bites of swoon. They all left me wanting more, as shorts always do. I had read all authors except Sariah Wilson so off to check out her backlist!

I loved all of these authors so I knew I was going to love this collection. I really enjoyed all of these stories and really wish they would have been full length stories so I could get more of them!! My absolute favourite story was the very first one by Christina Lauren. I really liked the different formats of part emails between characters and part storytelling. Having different formats like this really add to the story for me! It makes it much more fun than reading boring black and white text.

This is a collection of novellas from a group of romance authors which all take place around Valentine’s Day and are loosely related. Getting an advanced copy to download before my flight left to head south to my family for the holidays was an unexpected Christmas present - thank you so much Amazon Original Stories! It was easy to take a natural break at the end of each of the six stories, but I still gobbled these up in about a day. The connections between the stories were really fun to figure out, both while reading and thinking back after finishing all of them. My favorite of the bunch was the first short story, The Exception to the Rule by Christina Lauren but I was entertained by all six stories. This collection will be available on January 23rd and I highly recommend it - if you haven’t read any of these authors before, they are some of the most popular romance authors for a reason. This was my first time reading Ashley Poston’s work, and I’m excited to read more from her. Celebrate Valentine’s Day a little early with this medley! All opinions are my own.

This story collection was exactly what I needed. I love meet-cutes. And most of the meet cutes were indeed very cute, one being slightly embarrassing.

All of them takes place on Valentine's Day. This collection is a quick and fun read.

The Exception to The Rule by Christina Lauren was my clear favorite. I love epistolary stories.

Worst Wingmen Ever by Abby Jimenez was good but I wanted more. It had her signature: balancing hefty topics with swoony moments.

Rosie and the Dreamboat by Sally Thorne was funny for the most part. But it would be a tough sell for any one slightly claustrophobic. The banter felt forced but overall it was a fun read.

Drop, Cover and Hold On by Jasmine Guillory was a food-centric romance. This story didn't make me grin as much as the other ones.

With Any Luck. by Ashley Poston was cute. It had the Hangover vibes. It also had Poston's signature magical realism touch. Whomever the FMC kisses happens to meet the love of their lives after. So in a way she is cursed.

Royal Valentine by Sariah Wilson is a new adult retelling of Roman Holiday with a twist. The author makes you take a small tour in Rome's touristic spots. It is quite sweet and clean.

The authors in this collection are some of my very favorites, so I absolutely devoured this collection of Valentine’s Day themed novellas. It’s hard to do novellas well but these authors mastered them. My favorites were the ones by Christina Lauren, Abby Jimenez, and Sally Thorne but they were all very enjoyable.

I voluntarily reviewed an early copy of this book. All opinions are my own,
