This is a collection of novellas from a group of romance authors which all take place around Valentine’s Day and are loosely related. Getting an advanced copy to download before my flight left to head south to my family for the holidays was an unexpected Christmas present - thank you so much Amazon Original Stories! It was easy to take a natural break at the end of each of the six stories, but I still gobbled these up in about a day. The connections between the stories were really fun to figure out, both while reading and thinking back after finishing all of them. My favorite of the bunch was the first short story, The Exception to the Rule by Christina Lauren but I was entertained by all six stories. This collection will be available on January 23rd and I highly recommend it - if you haven’t read any of these authors before, they are some of the most popular romance authors for a reason. This was my first time reading Ashley Poston’s work, and I’m excited to read more from her. Celebrate Valentine’s Day a little early with this medley! All opinions are my own.
This story collection was exactly what I needed. I love meet-cutes. And most of the meet cutes were indeed very cute, one being slightly embarrassing.
All of them takes place on Valentine's Day. This collection is a quick and fun read.
The Exception to The Rule by Christina Lauren was my clear favorite. I love epistolary stories.
Worst Wingmen Ever by Abby Jimenez was good but I wanted more. It had her signature: balancing hefty topics with swoony moments.
Rosie and the Dreamboat by Sally Thorne was funny for the most part. But it would be a tough sell for any one slightly claustrophobic. The banter felt forced but overall it was a fun read.
Drop, Cover and Hold On by Jasmine Guillory was a food-centric romance. This story didn't make me grin as much as the other ones.
With Any Luck. by Ashley Poston was cute. It had the Hangover vibes. It also had Poston's signature magical realism touch. Whomever the FMC kisses happens to meet the love of their lives after. So in a way she is cursed.
Royal Valentine by Sariah Wilson is a new adult retelling of Roman Holiday with a twist. The author makes you take a small tour in Rome's touristic spots. It is quite sweet and clean.
I loved this collection!! I loved the short stories and being able to see the differences between the authors' styles of writing. Such a cute, feel-good collection. Thank you for letting me ready early!!
The authors in this collection are some of my very favorites, so I absolutely devoured this collection of Valentine’s Day themed novellas. It’s hard to do novellas well but these authors mastered them. My favorites were the ones by Christina Lauren, Abby Jimenez, and Sally Thorne but they were all very enjoyable.
I voluntarily reviewed an early copy of this book. All opinions are my own,
I loved every single one of these super cute short stories! I was super excited to be able to be given a chance to read these early and I think they will be a hit when released. All of these Authors have their own unique ways of story telling that pulls you in right away and leaves you wanting more.
Thank you to Amazon Original Stories and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this delightful collection of short stories!
The Improbable Meet-Cute Collection is the perfect curation of rom-coms that will make you swoon! I love how the stories tied into one another with shared characters and of course a happily ever after for each of the main characters. These stories will make you love love even more than you probably already do 💕
Thank you to Netgalley and the publishing team for an arc of this collection. All thoughts are original and my own.
This was such an adorable collection of short stories based around Valentine's Day from an amazing group of authors. Each story had it's own vibe and love story, and they were all connected in one or two little ways that made the whole thing better. I found myself laughing and crying off and on throughout each story (except the second one I was just straight sobbing). I'm normally not big on Valentine's Day or romance stories based around the day, but each story had me hook, line and sinker in love. I fully recommend this collection to those that love love, or those that just love even one of the involved authors.
Loved this collection! Some of the stories were a bit short in my opinion, but loved them and as always was left wanting more! Perfect to squeeze in a short story in the time I have as a mom!
These are really fun, quick reads by some awesome romance authors - released just in time for Valentine's Day! Each story follows the improbable meet-cute theme but are unique enough to not feel repetitive. Whether read all at once or individually, these novellas are great pallet cleansers.
I'd reccomend these novellas to romance lovers that have Amazon Prime or Kindle Unlimited.
Rated 4 stars. Thank you Netgalley for the ARC ebook.
These were such fun and quick reads! Cute love stories from authors we know and like. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the free advance copy.
I loved these stories so much and it was neat how there's a slight connection/mention of other events/characters in them! I read a few of them a few times (and I am not a re-reader). This would be a perfect Valentine's Day read!
Some of my favorite romance authors and some new ones all in one collection! I am sometimes hesitant to read short stories as I don’t get invested in the characters as easily but I loved all of these short stories. This collection all occurs around Valentine’s Day and is perfect for someone still searching for their love or for someone who has already found their forever love.
This Valentine’s Day collection consists of some of our favorite authors. These six short stories feel like a warm hug. You’ll find yourself smiling while you read and wishing for more. If you have not met these authors this series gives you a glimpse of their ability to make you fall in love with characters and root for their happy endings.
This was such a cute arrangement of meet cute short stories! They writing from the different authors have a nice flow and I’m excited to check out other writings from the variety of authors.
I really enjoyed this collection of short stories! It was fun to read stories from authors I am not familiar with (and now want to read more from!) as well as get new stories from some of my favorite authors.
What a fun/saucy/enjoyable collection of sweet meet-cutes from some of my favorite authors just in time for Valentine's Day. From epistolary romances to royal matches, this collection of novellas did not disappoint.
Thank you to Netgalley for the ARC copy of the Improbable Meet-Cute Collection. All opinions are my own.
Christina Lauren and Abby Jimenez in the same short story collection? SOLD.
The Improbable Meet-Cute Collection was everything I dreamed it would be and more. Every one of these authors is excellent, so I expected it to be a solid collection but I didn't expect it to suck me in as much as it did (I read this while on a Christmas road trip with my dad and the poor guy couldn't get me to emerge from my e-reader from the moment I started reading).
Christina Lauren's story left me kicking my feet in excitement. Abby Jimenez had me crying and laughing, sometimes at the same time, just like she always does. Sally Thorne's Rosie and The Dreamboat definitely won for the most IMPROBABLE meet cute, and it just may also have been the cutest meet-cute! Jasmine Guillory and Ashley Poston's stories left me desperate for more with those characters, and Sariah Wilson left me wishing I was a royal in hiding.
I loved all the ways these stories interconnected (the little Easter eggs, if you will- I am a Swiftie, after all). I will definitely be rereading come Valentine's Day- and probably every Valentine's Day from here on out!
I love reading romcoms and this book of short stories did not disappoint. Each story was about a meetcute but not your average meetcute. Despite the short length of each story I was able to connect with the characters. Most were predictable but I loved the journey of each one.
I absolutely loved this Valentines Day themed collection of Novellas!
