I thought this was very good and I will have to add this to the shop shelves. Thank you for the chance for us to review.
MK's romances are solidified man was it a journey to get there, a hot one though! The action, twists and turns, trauma, and drama!! Stalkers, betrayal from friends and family, being sold on the black market by your father, hitmen and contract killers, MC clubs, secret society of assassins, and of course there has to be time for naked dalliances with these incredibly hot and damaged men. Love that MK didn't have to choose between her men, and they formed a weird yet loving and supportive if not murder happy family. Glad as things progressed with plot and romance/relationship building the young characters grew too in their maturity and they men-built MK up versus tore her down like they tried to do in book 1. Absolutely loved this series and also the way the audiobooks are done for Tate James books is impeccable! She writes it, I must read it and listen to it.
Get ready for the explosive finale of the MK series in "Kate" by Tate James. Riot Night changed everything, and returning to Shadow Grove flips MK's world once more. Hunted and tormented, she's forged unshakeable resolve with Archer, Kody, and Steele at her side. Together, they're ready to face any challenge—even waging war against those who threaten them.
Tate James skillfully weaves a darkly compelling, irresistibly romantic narrative in "Kate". Exploring enemies-to-lovers and hate-to-love dynamics, the story delves into relationships and the power of love to conquer all. As MK battles her demons and confronts deceit, she emerges stronger than ever.
Filled with action, steamy romance, and surprising twists, "Kate" is a gripping conclusion that's captivated readers. Whether you love reverse harem romance, dark fiction, or intense mysteries, this book promises a thrilling, unforgettable read.
Stanidng in front of a tough choice, Madison Kate doesn't know what she wants. Does she want her freedom or does she want them?
The prose was fine. The pacing flowed well. I stopped after chapter 2 (5%). This doesn’t feel like it works as a stand-alone so it isn’t appropriate for our libraries. However, I would imagine it being 3 to 4 stars for those who have read the first.
Thank you to NetGalley and Bloom Books for the ARC.
The perfect ending to this addictive series. I am obsessed and will be jumping straight into the Hades series.
I loved the slow build from enemies to lovers in this series, but this book full of love and obsession and equality was just so damn hot. It was everything we needed. All of the characters have grown, and I loved seeing some familiar faces and ones that i know will become familiar as I continue on my Shadow Grove adventure.
Fans of why-choose, enemies to lovers, bully romance, badass and fine as f*** lovers will be so into this series.
This series is SO amazingly addicting. Typically, I space series out over weeks in order to savor them. But with Madison Kate, I binge. I read these so fast and in a row because they are suspense filled, super steamy and fast paced. I love the story arc. I love the heat and for a second reading of them, they kept my attention in almost the same way as the first time through.
I also grabbed the audio on Hoopla part of the way through the series and that was a delightful add to my reading experience!
First and foremost, this book basically ends a series on a cliffhanger, and I'm not okay with that. I realize it is segue into a spinoff series and technically a HFN ending, but... yeah not a fan of that. Coming from book 3 where not a lot of plot movement happens, this one seemed like a sprint to the end with all kinds of drama. It could have been spread out and way more believable.
This book did not disappoint. I felt it dragged on a little bit for me personally but i had heard sooo o much about this series that i think i over hyped it up in my brain. Still a great fun spicy romance read!
This one took me a lot longer to finish than the other three. I got to about 75% and all that had happened was a lot of smut and I lost my steam. I feel like the plot got lost in a sea of smut for 3/4 of this book. They finally mentioned players from the two main plot points and I had honestly forgotten who they were. I strongly feel that this series would have been better as a trilogy. I think I also slowed down because all three of them were all HEA with each other and I didn't have that angst between Arch and MK driving me to read. The big reveal of the stalker was too fast and glossed over. I wanted more answers after four books. Was this enjoyable? Yes very much. But I also think that maybe I would have enjoyed this book more if I hadn't binged the other three and taken breaks between reads. Overall, this series was good and addicitng. I'd definitely still recommend it for why choose lovers.
Thank you to Bloom Books for my gifted copy!
The conclusion is everything you would have wanted. I enjoyed this series, it was a very uncomfortable journey. Unfortunately, saying too much will give spoilers but if you have liked the other books, you will love this one.
The finale of the Madison Kate series and Kate got off to a bit of confusing start as the opening chapters flipped between the moment the previous book ended and seven years in the past before then jumping a week or so into the future to the intrepid heroine in a bridal boutique of all places and of course yet another attempt on her life. With the death count rising and blood and gore galore, this instalment was definitely action packed, but I can’t help but feel all the drama came at the expense of the story. This series had grabbed me from the opening chapters of Hate but after finishing this book I wish it had perhaps been condensed into three books instead of four. A couple of plot twists seemed to come out of nowhere and for all the identity of MK’s stalker was revealed it was a bit of an anticlimax with no real explanation given for his obsession. I also would’ve liked more background on Kody and Steele. Compared to Archer at times it felt like they were there to make up the numbers. I’ve loved the series, but this book has just fell a little flat for me.
This is the final book in the Madison Kate series, and I am so happy with how it ended, and after the ending, I have now added the Hades series on my to be read list, and can't wait to read more from this world.
I think this final installment of the Madison Kate series is my favorite. I loved the deception throughout the book. This book will lead you thinking that you know a lot of things, but in reality you are wrong and know absolutely nothing. Any book that can do that is extremely impressive and will leave you wanting more.
A special thank you to Tate James, Sourcebook Bloom Books, and Netgalley for gifting me this e-ARC in exchange for my honest review.
So.. this is it... the final installment in the Madison Kate Series by Tate James. Man what a ride. This book is full of all the angst, swoon, lies, action, deception. all the things we have grown to love in Tate James's books.. and the Stalker.. TOTAL SUPRISE.. not a clue. I thought I had ideas of who.. but NOPE..
Phenomenal Job Tate!
This story was 5 stars all the way and with twists and turns around every corner. This story was well written and thought out.
I had already read the MK series by Tate James a couple years ago and was thrilled to be selected for a few of the re-release ARCs. Rereading has been so much fun! This series is easy to devour, Tate James really knows how to keep you on your toes AND provide satisfactory conclusions! This is absolutely a series you will want to have all books available to you, you don't want to be waiting for it to get delivered when you finish the previous. Tate James is an instant add-to-cart for me!
Thank you to SOURCEBOOKS Bloom Books and NetGalley for this ARC!

What a wild ride of a conclusion of this series. I loved the element of romance mixed in with the action/thriller vibes. I love the growth Tate wrote into these characters. Such a fantastic series.
