* I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley. Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for this book. All thoughts are my own.
4.5 stars
I love Joey and Aoife together. Neither of them takes any crap from anybody. I was not expecting her pregnancy and that to take up most of the book. I did appreciate that it wasn’t completely a retelling of Shannon’s books and I love the ending the author gave Joey. He really deserved it after everything he went through.
I will add that this book has content that is difficult, and at times upsetting, to read like the rest of the series. These are books that you want to be in the right headspace for but I would recommend them.
Thank you Bloom and Netgalley.
Why. Just why. These books are sad and cute and I wanna just meet these characters. Chloe Walsh why??! I think this book definitely sets a different tone for the series as a whole however. Which is good from the Binding 13 and Keeping 13.
I took a little longer to read this book because I wanted to savor every moment until the next book. I love this series with my whole heart and I can’t wait for the next upcoming books that are coming in this series. Everyone must read this series!!! Highly recommend.
Thank you NetGalley and Bloom Books for the arc of this book.
This was sooo good! I love Joey and aoife so much. This book gives you all the feels and it changed me as a person!
Best way to end a series, thank you! I was scared i wouldn’t enjoy this as much as saving 6 but I really did. I still had so much story to tell, especially with joey. I’m sad it’s over but I can’t wait to try other books from this author.
Redeeming 6 picks up right were Saving 6 leaves off. Aoife is hurt and confused..and Joey. Well poor Joey can't catch a break. He's trying to do the right thing. for Aoife, but he can't stay away from here.
Joey and Aoife's relationship while messy, is undeniable one that will stand the test of time. Aoife is a rock, she's therefor Joey through all of his ups and down, but she also doesn't take any crap from him.
I'm so glad we got to see how Joey grew in this book, he really was able to shake off his demons and realize that he was worth loving. He was worth Aoife's devotion. Another gut wrenching read from Chloe Walsh, which is no surprise!
This book is sooo good and so heartbreaking. Make sure you're in the right headspace to finish Joey and Aofie's story, because you're going to spiral with Joey. If you have read Keeping 13 (and I HIGHLY recommend you do that you read the books in order) you know how much Joey struggled in Keeping 13. Now in this story you get to fully see Joeys side as well as his own heartbreaks. And through those hard moments, you have Aoife, always put herself in his path. Even when thats the last thing Joey feels he deserves. If you have triggers, I recommend reading the trigger list before reading. Chloe Walsh's writing is so captivating and beautiful. This group of characters is truly the meaning of found family. I never want to leave this world, and I can't wait for Claire & Gibsie's story. Those two have so much history and tension, I can't wait. And with that lake scene and Gibsie....I just know he's going to have so much under his goofy facade.
Loved it! Great ending for the series.
I really enjoyed the plot and all the romance. Chloe did it again
Please please please read this series, every book in this series is different but so perfect and I will rarely say that but Chloe gives due attention to both characters, fleshing them out so deeply, but also the due attention to the progression and growth, as well and I rarely see that in books that make me FEEL so deeply like every book in this series has done for me. If you’ve read BK13 then expect something different from Joey and Aoife but still so so amazing and if you haven’t, then please start this series and fall in love with all of the Boys of Tommen with me!!!
I love them still so much. The shining point of this book is that they are not afraid of love but rather the obstacles that individuals still face despite/after falling in love. Every time Joey showed his unwavering love for her and Aoife showed her never-ending support for him with their sweet comments and swoony banter just captured my heart. It was clear as crystal that these two were in love and would make it no matter what because they belonged together. But first we had to watch them fight their battles! Moreover, seeing the battles they both faced individually just proved that they deserved their HEA more than most romance novel couples.
This series has my heart and I just need the world to know that I cannot wait for Taming 7 and the drama that is sure to unfold in Claire & Gibsie’s book! Thank you so much to Bloom Books for the early copy for review!
This was a great ending to the series! The plot was amazing and I absolutely loved the book. The romance was great. I would highly recommend.
Again, I will shout my love for this series from the rooftops. I know its getting buzz, but its well deserved. I love these characters and their stories.
Chloe Walsh writes the kind of romance novels where you can just tell the fmc and mmc are SOULMATES, literally made for each other, two pieces of a puzzle! Joey and Aoife are everything and deserve the whole world!!!
Holy shit did this book ever hurt! My heart was broken open repeatedly and I was just a blubbering mess! The events that both Joey and aoife experience are so incredibly tragic but their love for one another always held strong. Their love is the kind of love one can only dream of finding. Their journey was painful, raw, real and the most beautiful thing I have ever seen, I am unwell!!!
If you are still sitting on this series you absolutely must read it, yes it will shatter your heart but the found family and the love that you experience in these books are like no other!
Chloe Walsh NEVER MISSES. I eat these up every time. I need Claire and Gibsies book in my hands rn!!
This book took me on the emotional rollercoaster ride I was expecting it to, and it did not disappoint. This is not a light story at all. I recommend that readers looking for a light story reconsider their choice before buying this book. However, for readers like me that enjoy a fantastic I emotional rollercoaster ride story filled with heartbreak, angst, love, addiction and more, this is that story. This story hits on some hard topics so I would definitely recommend it to my adult friends. With that being said, I absolutely loved this story. I have no words to describe Joey in this book, but I can say that I loved him even more. I think this is the type of story that will stay with readers long after they have finished it and I'm definitely looking forward to reading more books from this author.
A huge thank you to NetGalley for providing me with eARCs for this series. When you see a marketed YA romance that’s 500+ pages it kind of makes the reader hesitant. But this series is so heartfelt and I absolutely love all of the characters. I’m so glad I read this.
This book is not for the faint of heart. This series in general is painful, but this book was like being stabbed in the heart REPEATEDLY. Am I a masochist? I don't know, but I flew through this. And now I fear I will have the biggest book hangover until Taming 7 comes out.
Joey and Aoife have a permanent spot in my heart. Please let them be happy forever. They've earned it.
"Hey, Stud."
"Hey, Queen."

Thank you to NetGalley and Bloom Books for the ARC!
Joey and Aoife deserve the world!! The amount of tears I've shed for these two?? I could hear my own heart break for them. It was all too much! But you know what? My babies are fighters. Those two were real. Their struggles were real. Their reaction to everything was real and freakin understandable. I want to protect them from everything and everyone.
Gibsie and Claire-bear. Gibsie and Claire-bear. Gibsie and Claire-bear. Gibsie and Claire-bear.
couldn't mention them enough. I'm not sure I'm even slightly ready for Gibsie and Claire's book. Honestly, I'm pretty sure I'm gonna embarrass myself by how I'd react when I finally have their book in my hands!
All the "Hey stud/Hey queen" moments? The "nice legs" comments even in the saddest times? The time he spent in rehab? I loved to see that.
Lizzie and Joey are the friendship I didn't see coming, but so glad we had!(
The first time Mammy K made an appearance!! I was screaming!! Thank you Edel for taking Joey's side. For loving him the way he deserves to be loved. I need Edel and John's own book so freakin bad!! Chloe Walsh please make it happen!
I'm so freakin nervous about the next book. I'm scared of how the whole Hughie/Lizzie situation is gonna work out (Katie is such a sweet person ugh), but I'm sure that CW would make it work in such a devastating way.
This is a story of two warriors constantly fighting for a better future. I have mixed feelings about this book. I went through a rollercoaster of emotions while reading, and I have a deep connection with the characters. At the same time, I feel like I expected a lot more, and I'm not sure if the book didn't live up to its promises or if it's my fault for building up expectations.
Joey and Aoife hold a special place in my heart, yet the book itself felt somewhat lacking. My disappointment stems from the book allocating a considerable 80% to recap events from B13 and K13, a substantial portion in a tome exceeding a thousand pages 🧐. I believe condensing this timeline could have paved the way for a more in-depth exploration of Joey's recovery, the initial months as a family, Aoife's challenges with potential postpartum depression, and her journey through first-time motherhood.

wow, wow, wow. I truly don’t know who I was before reading this series. I was hesitant at first to say goodbye to Johnny and Shannon at the end of keeping 13, but Joey and Aoife quickly swallowed me whole with their story. Redeeming Six truly made their love story worth it. I felt like their love was mine and so was their heartbreak. I can’t quite think of another book series that made me feel this way. April seems too far to wait for the next installment.
P,S. ( the claire/gibsie snippet we get at the end of this new edition is already making my heart beat faster)
IF YOU WANT A BOOK THAT WILL RIP YOUR HEART OUT AND THEN PUT IT BACK TOGETHER THIS IS THE BOOK FOR YOU! Keep the tissues handy for this one. Redeeming 6 continues where Saving 6 left off. We have Joey who has ALOT on his plate. He has the world on his shoulders and just needs help in life. He is basically parents to his siblings, had a gf he loves and a baby on the way all while still being in high school. This book is such an accurate portrayal of this type of situation. He comes from an abusive household and has to deal with all of that stress and takes upon his siblings stress as well. Although we see Aoifes side in this story as well, Joey is the one I felt for the most. I can’t wait to see where this series goes next because I love these books like they are my children.
