Wow! This may be one of my favorite McFadden books! I surely did not see THAT ending coming! The story catches up with Millie and Enzo eleven years later. The story finds them and their children moving into a nice home in a good neighbor. But wait! There is a super nosey neighbor who seems a bit mental when it comes to her son. Then another neighbor is not a nice person and appears to have designs on Enzo. Is he cheating on Millie? She certainly thinks so. Their son, Nico, is working around the house for the not-so-nice neighbor because he broke one of their windows with a baseball. His attitude changes and Millie can’t figure out what is going on. Her daughter, Mille, is also struggling to fit in at the new school. The neighbor’s maid is also working some for Millie and Enzo and she stares at Millie a lot. Does she know about Millie’s past? Is she stealing from them?

The neighbor’s husband is murdered. Who did it? Millie? Enzo? Someone else? There are any number of possibilities.

Millie and her family have moved from their cramped apartment in the Bronx to their dream house on Long Island. Unfortunately, life in the small cul-de-sac is not perfect and Millie feels like she's always being watched. I was so excited to read the third installment in the Housemaid series and Frieda McFadden did not disappoint! Twists and turns kept me glued to the book from start to finish. Prepare for an all-nighter when you pick up this addictive, riveting page turner!

Not my favorite. I don't know why we fast forwarded 12 years. I wish we had more stories of Enzo & Millie helping battered women. This book feels like McFadden wants to be done with The Housemaid series, which fair enough. That being said, if another comes out, I'll read it. I'm a sucker.

I have read a lot of Freida books and loved the first book in this series but i feel like the newer books are just falling flat and feel so rushed to just publish because she's become so popular. I will continue to read them because theyre so fast paced and easy reads, but i hope that she digs deeper for her future books and makes them more in depth

Millie is thrilled when she, Enzo, and their 2 children are finally moving into their dream home! Although the mortgage is a stretch, the house is perfect - well, other than her odd neighbors.

Although she and Enzo have been very happily married for over 10 years, suddenly she’s starting to wonder if she should trust him completely. And she’s beginning to wonder who had discovered her criminal past. But then her family starts acting oddly, and her annoying, gorgeous neighbor is always hitting on Enzo, who doesn’t seem to mind. But when someone turns up dead, the police show up at Millie’s door, knowing her history, and sending her into a panic.

This story keeps you guessing! It’s hard to know who to trust, up until the end. It’s refreshing to see a family who truly adores each other, and would stand together no matter what. I highly recommend this novel!

I am so thankful to have gotten a copy of the Housemaid Is Watching as an advanced reader copy. I’ve binge read every single Frieda book and had been anxiously awaiting this one and of course, wasn’t let down at all! 5 stars for all Friend fans!

Freida Mcfadden never lets me down! She has an easy writing style, that keeps.me engaged. This book is no exception. Well developed characters, and storyline.

Thank you netgalley for the prerelease ebook.

The Housemaid is Watching is a quick, easy read with some great twists at the end--perfect for when you need a fast, summer read that is engaging without being too taxing. This third book takes place 12 years after the first book; Millie and Enzo are married with two children and have just moved to Long Island. While their children are trying to adjust to their new school, Millie and Enzo are trying to adjust to their nosy and judgmental neighbors. Enzo becomes more distant and spends more and more time away from home; Millie begins to suspect that he is having an affair. It turns out that Enzo may have even more secrets than their new neighbors, and Millie tries to unravel what's going on before their family falls apart. While this was not my favorite of the series, it's still a page-turner that is a must for fans of domestic thrillers. Thanks so much to Netgalley, Bookouture, and the author for the librarian preview copy!

I'm really not a fan of Freida McFadden but I was hoping 'The Housemaid Is Watching' might change that.

In the third installment of the Housemaid, Freida McFadden follows Millie years after the last book. Millie has started her own family, has gotten away from her previous "job" and is enjoying life until the neighbor dies. With twists and turns throughout the story, the reader is thrown for a loop. Who killed the neighbor and will the truth come out?

As always this author doesn't disappoint. I took me a minute to recall the details from the housemaid but the pieces fell in to place. Just when you think you know where the story is headed be ready for a twist or turn. If you are already a Freida McFadden fan you won't be disappointed.

I thoroughly enjoyed THE HOUSEMAID IS WATCHING. I wasn't a huge fan of the second book in the series, but this third in the series had me guessing until close to the end.

I received an advanced copy of the third book in Freida McFadden’s Housemaid series, which will be published on June 11th. This book continues Millie’s story later in life once she’s married to Enzo with two kids. She has recently moved to Long Island and has tried very hard to leave her past behind. But of course, secrets and drama continue to follow her everywhere she goes, including into her dream home in a picturesque cul-de-sac.

I hate to say it but I didn’t love this one. Freida’s straightforward and no frills writing style is a little jarring at first compared to other books I have read recently, but I found my rhythm in it and got through the short chapters quickly. I’ve read a lot of her books and the twists in this one didn’t surprise me as much. I also felt like some of the questions I had weren’t resolved even though they were pretty major plot points. Just lots of things that made me go hmmm 🤔. Definitely curious to hear other’s thoughts on this book once it comes out!

I began this third in the series without having read the first two. Although the Housemaid series could almost be read as stand alones, they are much better read in order. I found myself really becoming fond of Millie, even though there were a few times I didn't especially like her. McFadden does a good job of creating a sympathetic, yet imperfect character. The chapters are short, making this an easy, pleasant read because it gives you built in stopping points if you are obsessive like I am to finish a chapter. The series is a great read for when you just want to relax and enjoy the process. The plots and characters are interesting enough to keep you reading. I have now finished the series and am hoping for a book four!

This is the most excited I’ve ever been for a book ! Without any spoilers, it was great to see some questions answered . Milly, everyone’s favorite housemaid , returns for book 3 in this gripping series. You won’t be able to put it down ! As Milly and her family settle into their new home, things feel off and she will go to any length to protect her family and leave her dark secrets behind. Advice to be careful puts her on edge . How well do we really ever know our neighbors ? Milly has come this far and NOTHING is going to ruin that now. No matter what she has to do.

Thank you to NetGalley, Poisoned Press and Freida McFadden for the advanced copy of The Housemaid Is Watching. Did we need another book about Millie and Enzo? Not necessarily, but oh what fun it is to see what they are up to now! This one was easy for me to figure out right down to the last detail. Sadly, it lacked any of those shocking twists that have you gasping audibly. If you are a fan of Freida's, you know you're going to read it. You can get your hands on a copy June 11. Overall rating 3.5⭐️

Frieda McFadden is quickly becoming one of my favorite thriller writers! A family moves to Long Island, both parents with shady pasts when it comes to crime. The neighbors are a bit odd, and the ones next door seem to be the oddest. Things between Millie's (our main character) husband and the wife next door are suspicious but what actually happens is surprising, with twists at every turn.

I've just discovered this author and I am really enjoying her books. This is the third in this series and is good, but not as good as the first two. Those left me on the edge of my seat. This was easy to read and fun, just not as gripping. Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

The Housemaid Is Watching is an engaging page turner to find out where the twist and surprises will be. This book will not disappoint readers of the other two Housemaid books.
