Freida McFadden is one of my favorite authors because I like the genre and the style of writing. The Housemaid Is Watching is another example of excellent plot structure and complexity.

Millie and Endo are married with two kids and finally have a house of their own. She used to clean these houses and now she owns one. Things are tight but they are trying to make it work with her job as a social worker and Endo's landscaping business.

The neighbors at their new house are to say the least interesting and one won't stop flirting with Endo! Even right in front of Millie. Throw in a cleaning lady and a helicopter parent as their other neighbor and you have yourself a fantastic third book! But you can read it as a stand alone if you havent read the other two.

Read it in one night. Loved it!

I was so excited to get the chance to read this ARC thanks to #netgalley. I'm a huge Freida McFadden fan and read every book I can get of hers. I love the Housemaid series, but this third one is the weakest and slowest. The twists and surprises happen only in the very last part of the story, and they are crazy and far-fetched.

The Housemaid Is Watching by Freida McFadden is a gripping thriller that takes readers on a suspenseful journey into the lives of a seemingly normal suburban family. The story follows a woman who, after moving into a new neighborhood with her family, begins to unravel a web of dark secrets and mysteries surrounding her neighbors. As she navigates the complexities of her new environment, she must confront her own past and make difficult choices to protect her loved ones. McFadden's writing is tense and atmospheric, keeping readers on the edge of their seats until the final, shocking twist. I am a huge fan of the Housemaid series, and this book lived up to all my expectations!

I loved this book so much and that’s no surprise! Millie is one of my all time favorite FMCs in a book. It was so bittersweet to follow her 20 years later as a wife and mother on yet another adventure she didn’t ask for!! Freida always writes a captivating story with twists and turns that keep the reader on their toes. I love this series!

Book #3 from Freida McFaddens Housemaid series…The Housemaid is Watching will have you guessing at every turn of the page! Love this series and hope there is a Book #4 in the Housemaid series…I just can’t get enough!

Millie has come a long way from the housemaid. Enzo and Millie have created a life for themselves and their children. Recently buying a home in safe neighborhood. Once they meet the neighbors though, they aren't so sure what they got into. The Lowell's are quite wealthy and the wife gets under Millie's skin immediately. Janice across the street might be insane. Was this the right choice? Millie was protect her family and make sure nothing tears them apart.

The third in the series was quite different from the first two. I love Frieda's writing. It's quick and usually intriguing. This was take place probably ten to twelve years into the future. Millie is of course a very different person as a wife and mom. Fast paced, but a departure from the others in the series. Thank you Netgalley for the advanced copy of this book.

Although Freida McFadden's books are formulaic, the plot twist is always a surprise to me. I have not yet read the first two books in the Housemaid series; but she does a nice job setting up the story so I don't feel like I am missing something. In fact, her reference to past events makes me want to read them next.

The Housemaid series is the best of Freida McFadden. I enjoy reading about Millie's progression generally in life, but the first book will always be my favorite. As usual, in Book Three there are twists I don't really see coming, but part of me just wants Millie to be happy, and that doesn't always make for great reading! Thank you NetGalley for this ARC.

I love this series. I have been fully invested and not disappointed. This could be read without reading others in the series. I was hooked early on no had to finish once I started. Sooo good.

Thank you to NetGalley, Poisoned Pen Press, and the author for allowing me to read this awesome book. I read the first two books each in one sitting and this one was no different. This book could easily be read as a stand alone, however, reading the first two books does help. I really like how Freida McFadden writes, and she does a great job of painting each character in a certain light. Time and time again she gets me to really disliking a character, then BOOM, flip the narrative and now I'm questioning my feelings about this character. I love this series and will be quick to recommend them.

Having read all of this authors books, I consider myself a Freida read-a. I love this series!

The Housemaid is Watching is about a married couple, Millie and Enzo. It is ten years into their marriage, they have two children and have recently moved into their home. Once they meet the neighbors, Millie starts to realize that things aren’t what they seem. Next door neighbor, Suzette Lowell is attracted to Enzo and has him working in her backyard. While dealing with Suzette and we drama; Millie also notices that her son Nico has started to act out. Is it that he isn’t adjusting well to the move or could it be something more?

By the end of the book, I had pieced together what I thought was happening but (like in her other books) I was surprised by the twists and turns of the story. This book was great and probably my favorite of hers so far. Well worth the read and can be read without having read the first two in the series.

Thank you to NetGalley and Poisoned Pen Press for providing this book, with my honest review below.

The Housemaid is Watching by Freida McFadden was a great thriller to sink into with a family mystery at its heart. I’m a big Freida McFadden fan and the Housemaid series is well loved in the thriller space, so I’m not surprised I enjoyed this. While I’ve read one book in the series, the book description listed this as one that can standalone, and I can attest to that. You will either get to revisit the universe of the Housemaid series or read an exciting thriller.

It’s clear to see the characters are part of what makes this book so successful, with steamy Enzo and his ‘reformed from a shady past’ wife Millie (the original housemaid). Joined by their two very different children, I was happy to see them moving on up in the world with a new home - but it seemed their deal of a lifetime may have been more of a gift horse. With tension on almost every page (sexual as well as mysterious because I can’t stress enough how hot Enzo is) we get a series of smaller mysteries to keep the pacing going quickly until an event occurs with the neighbors that changes everything.

I loved the twists and how the last part of the book was structured. This was such a home run and I loved it both as a peek back to the Housemaid characters as well as a strong stand alone thriller.

Thanks NetGalley for this ARC OF The Housemaid is Watching. Another great read by Freida McFadden. Her fans will not be disappointed by this 3rd in a series. Filled with Freida’s usual twists and turns, it’s a satisfying read. Never know what’s gonna happen with a Freida read. Indulge in this one.

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC of The Housemaid is Watching! For me personally, Freida McFadden is the epitome of bingeable book content. I picked up this book and devoured it in one sitting. I could not put it down. It was so good to be back with Millie and Enzo. I enjoyed the time jump and I was sucked into the world immediately. This was a great read! You wouldn't have to read the first two books in the series to enjoy this story, but I would recommend reading them first as they are also really good, and you will feel more connected to the core characters.

Surely one of the most anticipated books of the year…

A few years after the events of The Housemaid’s Secret, Millie has settled down, now happily married with children, and moving into the home they’ve worked and saved for.

Meet the neighbors, on one side a married realtor who won’t stop flirting with Millie’s husband. Across the road there’s a nosey neighbor, watching everything that goes on…

You already know Freida’s style, fast, easy flowing. The Housemaid Is Watching is a next-level silky smooth magic carpet ride.

How much do we love Millie’s character? This book goes deeper into her character than ever before, this is Millie the wife and mom, Millie with a steady job, safe from the scrapes she used to find herself in.

There’s a lot of humor, references to the other books, in jokes, family fun and every day stresses. It’s a very funny book, you’ll be laughing… right up until your jaw drops.

When it switches up, hold on tight! It’s so unexpected. You won’t see it coming, you won’t even know which direction you’re looking in.

It’s incredible! Imagine writing a book to reach the level of The Housemaid and The Housemaid’s Secret…Imagine writing a book that easily equals the quality but also adds layers of detail to the characters’ pasts, fills in any blanks and answers all the questions.

I was hooked from the first page, it grips hard, it’s fast and smooth, tense, thrilling and twisty. It’s full of character, depth and detail. It’s a pure, perfect thrill ride and it completes Millie’s world.

It stands alone as a great thriller, it builds on the previous books to create a very powerful trilogy. This is everything the fans have been crying out for and more.

I’m almost speechless. If you’ve read the first two books read this book now!
If you haven’t (?!) then get all three lined up, call in sick, lock the door and forget about sleeping.

Book of the year? Thrillogy of the decade!

Thanks to Netgalley, Poisoned Pen Press and Freida McFadden
