This book is a bit hard to describe, but if I had to, I would say its a mix of self help and memoir. Scott Freidheim shares some interesting ideas, though I didn't agree with everything. Overall, this was an ok book, but its not a standout in my mind, or something I would be rushing to tell my friends and family they must go out and read.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an advance copy in exchange for my honest review.
What an extraordinary life Scott Freidheim has experienced, and his book, "Code of Conduct," meticulously captures both his triumphs and setbacks. The narratives are consistently engaging and entertaining. While a few stories may have been unreliable, the overall takeaway makes it well worth the listen. The narration is commendable, and I extend my gratitude to NetGalley for providing the opportunity to experience this audiobook.
This was a very interesting book—one I'm not too sure how to define. It is part memoir, part self-help, but done in a way that keeps you engaged the entire time. While I didn't quite agree with some of what the author was trying to convey, I can appreciate that he reflects on his mistakes and willingly admits them. He for sure can claim that he's lived an eventful life; there was never a point in this where I was bored.
The narrator for this book is perfect. He carries the exact tone of the story I would expect, and his performance was wonderful.
