A lovely gentle read, a great book to curl up with. Rose's garden is the sort of garden everyone should have access to.
Thanks to NetGalley, the author and publisher for the ARC.

Ok this book was so sweet and charming on every level. It is cute as heck how the characters names are after flowers: Daisy, Flora, Rose. This is an easy read, but not an empty read. It is a great example in the power of community and using what we already have to make the most impact around us.

A delightful story - heartwarming and with feel good vibes!

Rose - a newly retired nurse - with time on her hands finds herself becoming immersed in her garden. It was previously her husband’s pride and joy and is a way of her honouring his memory. But it becomes more as she finds herself befriending others in need of solace and care. It becomes a place to remember, move on and create new memories.

I loved the characters of Rose, Daisy and Flora and the interaction between them.

The beauty of gardens and their positive impact on mental health are celebrated in this delightful book.

One to be recommended.

Thanks Netgalley for allowing me to read this book. Rose has more free time now that she is retired. She does work in the garden to keep her mind occupied. This book was a quick read.

The Garden of Memories by British author Amanda James is an interesting exploration of how old memories have shaped our perceptions and how communing with nature is an essential element in living a healthy life and creating new memories. Rose has retired from nursing and now is focused on maintaining and enhancing her late husband’s garden…a garden that will enhance the lives of all who plant there. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book from NetGalley. Highly recommend.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was a wonderful setting in Cornwall. The thing I loved most was the variety of ages of the characters which was heart warming. The garden of memories sounded like a wonderful place to meet and make friends. As an avid gardener and allotment holder I know only too well the importance of nature in your life and especially gardening and growing things whether it be flowers or vegetables. There were some great ideas for making memories which was a great help to a lot of the characters. There were great sentiments and word of pure wisdom. This was a wonderful read and difficult to put down.

An enjoyable uplifting read about retirement, ageing gracefully and living with memories. I liked how the main characters Rose, Daisy and Flora are all named after flowers. Rose's garden becomes the focal point of memories. I thought this book is cleverly crafted as it portrays how nature plays a vital part in our everyday mental health. I found it very positive and inspiring.
