W H A T?!?!

Oh my goodness, this book. I’ve definitely been waiting for Noah’s story since Accidental Attachment, and it did NOT disappoint (especially with SebYo as the narrator). Sammy and Noah are so great together, and I love their love. The twists of this story were so exciting and I could not believe the ending. SUCH a great story, my favorite of the 3!

Sebastian and Louise did such a wonderful job performing this book. I loved them together!

This is my third book by Max Monroe and I am a definite fan! Cluelessly Yours is a standalone romance novel with a few crossover characters from Accidental Attachment and Best Frenemies. I absolutely love the writing style from the prose to the organization--I loved how the dual POV was set up in this one! Cluelessly Yours was a breeze to listen to--I BINGED it, LOVED the narrators.

The book is a little on the spicy side--there are a couple spicy scenes but I didn't feel like they were overpowering and they were not the focus of the plot. I enjoyed all of the relationship drama and twists that they threw at us with this one!

Cluelessly Yours will be available on kindleunlimited January 13, 2024--read all about my new favorite book boyfriend (NOAH) then!

Cluelessly Yours by Max Monroe
Narrated by Elizabeth Louise, Sebastian York

At the very beginning of the story, in the present day, Sammy wakes up in the hospital to see one of two handsome men, the one she fell in love with, in a hospital bed beside her while a pregnant women (not her sister) hovers over him. And then it all comes back to her, the last moments that led to her running away, then an accident, and now, here she is, feeling shattered in too many ways...heart and body shattered. Once again, Sammy feels like everything she touches is ruined in some way, that hardening her heart, not letting men in, is the best way to move forward.

Months earlier: Sammy has so much going for her. She has two adorable boys, a job she enjoys, a nanny, and a pregnant sister who is one of the most important people of her life. She also has two handsome men who want to be more than friends with her but she's not going to fall into that trap. She's come off a very bad marriage where her husband dumped her and the boys and left her a single, working mom. For all the good in her life, she is overwhelmed and feels like she is going from one disaster to another, as if her life is doomed. Her seven year old is in trouble at school, again. Her five year old is at home with the nanny, vomiting, and two men wanting to date her seems like way too much pressure to handle.

Never having had kids, I don't always relate to "mom" stories but Sammy is so likable, her kids really are adorable, and her fears and reluctance to date are very understandable to me. With not a single moment when she's not busy, not playing catchup, not feeling like she's about to mess something else up in her life, she's just trying to keep her head above water. She has one handsome guy (the businessman) that really wants to get to know her better and another handsome guy (the doctor she sees with a lot of beautiful women) that her sister insists is made for her. Sammy is gun shy for good reason and the only kind of break she can get is when it happens to her kid.

There is some hot spiciness in this story but also cute dogs, family and friends, and the story from the POV of Sammy and one of the men. Both of the audiobook narrators do a wonderful job with the narration and I liked that the story gave us not only Sammy's POV but also "the guy's" POV. Poor Sammy, just when she knows she has found the right one, does really bad timing have to blow things to smithereens? I could not help wanting the best for Sammy and her guy but it's hard to see a way through at least one very big roadblock.

There is a book that comes before this one that I haven't read and I do not feel like I missed anything. The first book concerns Sammy's sister, an author, and I know I will go back and read that story, too. I enjoyed hanging out with "most" of these people and want to see how it all started.

Thank you to Max Monroe and NetGalley for this ARC.

4.25⭐
Genre ~ contemporary romance
Interconnected with ~ Accidental Attachment, Best Frenemies
Setting ~ NYC
Publication date ~ January 13, 2024
Est page Count ~ (p+ 33 chapters +3 e's)
Audio length ~ 9 hours 18 minutes
Narrators ~ Elizabeth Louise, Sebastian York
POV ~ dual 1st
Featuring ~ 3 part story, characters in their early 40's, single mom, love triangle~ish, side character cheating, friends to lovers, minimal steamage

Sammy is a single mom to two young, rambunctious boys, Seth and Grant, with rarely any time to date. Her sister has been trying to hook her up with the hot doc, Noah, for a while, but Sammy always sees him surrounded by other women. Then there's Gavin, the slick businessman, who's showing quite the interest in her.

As you can read from the blurb Sammy will end up with one of these two, but I'm obviously not going to tell you who she ends up with. I will say that she definitely made the right choice just like we knew she would. He was so great with her boys. Sammy & ? were adorbs together, but they said the L word a bit too quickly IMO.

I'm not super big on the single parent trope, especially a single mom, but I liked how Sammy was written so relatable. Her boys were far from perfect and she handled them the best she could as a working mom, and really all we can do is our best.

Most side characters were great. Sammy and Brooke had a lovely sisterly bond.

Overall, this was really fun. I've read this author duo before, but not in a while so I'll have to rectify that asap.

Series notes:
This is part of an interconnected series, which I didn't know before I chose to read it. I did a search here first, but didn't see anything linked together so I thought I was good to go. Nope, but it's my fault because NG actually mentioned it in the description, but I didn't read all the way down. Anyway, the characters from Accidental Attachment are heavily involved here as Sammy and Brooke are sisters. I do feel like I missed out by not reading that one and can't go back since I know how it ends for them. I don't recall any mentions of the characters from Best Frenemies, so maybe I'll read that one one day.

Narration notes:
Excellent narration by both. Never any complaints with Sebastian as he's one of my favs.

When I started listening to this book, I felt that the disclaimer was exaggerating too much. “We would like to say that we are sorry about the wild turns that this audio will turn you on, but we are not, LOL.” But after just 10 minutes, I laughed so hard and was so into the story that I finished the book in two days. The characters are endearing, and the story is beautiful.
If I had to find something that I didn’t like, it was the way the main female character reacted to some of the male interactions; she was so naive, and she put the blame in the wrong places. I understand it was for the tension in the story, but I just got a bit mad about it.
In summary, this book is a tender love story and makes you have a great time. Thank you NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to review this book

I can't stop raving about "Cluelessly Yours" by Max Monroe! This book is an absolute gem in the romantic comedy genre. From start to finish, I was hooked on the witty banter, laugh-out-loud moments, and the undeniable chemistry between the characters.

The storyline was refreshingly unique, blending humor, romance, and a dash of mystery seamlessly. I found myself completely immersed in the hilarious antics and unpredictable situations the protagonists navigated. Max Monroe's writing style effortlessly weaves together comedy and heartwarming romance, making it impossible to put the book down.

The characters are brilliantly crafted, each with their quirks and charm that make them incredibly relatable. The dynamic between the leads is electric, full of tension and sparks that kept me eagerly flipping through the pages.

This was my first Max Monroe book. And after finishing I’m running to Libby to read more.
“For once, just once I’d like to be found.”🥺
Dale: “I can’t decide if it’s constipation or something else entirely…”
Noah “Why are all you E.R docs so obsessed with everyone’s bowel function? It’s deranged.”
Dale “Gut health is at the foundation of everything. It’s smart medicine.”
“Is that it? Are you constipated Noah? Bc I’ve got your back man, I’ll prescribe you the good stuff. Have you shitting in no time.” The RN in me who’s always asking “when’s the last time you had a BM” is howling at this convo. I’ve had patients ask many times “why are you so obsessed with how much I poop?”💀
This is a standalone, but also interconnected with Accidental Attachment and Best Frenemies. It will release on January 13th, 2024 and will be available in ebook, audio, paperback, and Kindle Unlimited.

⭐️Disclaimer: I received this book as an arc. All opinions are my own. Thank You NetGalley & Author for a chance to read this book.⭐️

This was a really fun listen. Sammy is a single mom of two boys, trying to get through the day without any major disasters. Good luck with that! Her ex is absent so it is all on her. She is trying to keep it together and dating is the very last thing on her mind, when out of nowhere she’s being pursued by two interesting and seemingly smart men. How did this happen? It’s a smart, witty, romantic, at times laugh out loud and other times what the heck is happening riotous story line that all leads to a wonderful love filled happily ever after. This may in fact be my favorite by this wonderful team. Hoping there is more to come in this series.

What an absolutely fun listen during a long road trip! There’s much to love about this rom-com from Max Monroe - its lighthearted with a swoon worthy love interest and a female main character who so deserves her happy ever after. Toss in some meddling friends and family members, a couple of realistically written high energy children, cute furry friends, and the right amount of spice and you get a highly entertaining story that is hard to put down.

This was my first book by Max Monroe, but won’t be my last. Cluelessly Yours will be released on January 13, 2024. You’ll want to grab a copy.

Thanks to NetGalley and Max Monroe for the ARC/ALC in exchange for my honest review.

Max Monroe does it again! If you loved Brooke in the last book then buckle up as you fall in love with her sister Sammy! While not as super smutty as some of my other Monroe faves, I absolutely LOVED this plot line and everything about it. I cannot wait to find out who is next to fall in love thanks to the pen of Max Monroe!

Max and Monroe have done it again! This is such a laugh-out-loud cute romance book. Sammy Baker is a single mother with two young boys who are crazy and hilarious. Sammy doesn’t have free time between her kids, pregnant sister, and job. However, she slowly starts to make time for a few new men in her life. As her sister reminds her, the right man will always make your life easier, not complicate it.

This is a fast paced hilarious read with the sweetest ending!

As for the narration of this book, Elizabeth Louise and Sebastian York, killed it again. They are both one of my favorite narrators!

I read my first book by Max and Monroe in 2023 and I’m so excited to continue in 2024! Cluelessly Yours was the perfect romcom to kick off the new year.

Thank you Netgalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Sebastian York and Elizabeth Louise did a great job with the audio version of this. However, its Monroe's story that gets me hooked.
Love triangles, accidents that lead to hospitalizations, unknown pregnancies, single mom, handsome doctors, what was not to love about this book?!
Will recommend this to romance lovers. It's a stand alone but could be read with Monroe's Accidental Attachment and Best Frienemies.

Thanks to Netgalley and Max Monroe for the ARC and chance to read this. My opinion is 100% my own unbiased.

I have always strayed away from stories that include a divorcee, mainly because I feel like it's a too mature topic for my age or because the main characters have kids (kids in books are a hit or miss) or because the reason for the divorce is a cheating partner (which I am still straying away from--I really despised this trope) but I thought I should give this one a try.

What attracted me to read this book first was the cover; it looks so pretty to be ignored but I stayed because of the story. At first, I was sort of annoyed with Sammy. She's got lots to complain about herself and it's getting tiring until she met Noah and I gotta say, her character became much better after that.

I was shocked by Gavin though. That part really got me disgusted with him. Although partly, I knew he was way too good to be true and the fact that her own guts are already telling her that he's not the right guy for her says a lot. The kids are adorable and the name of the dog, Chanandler Bong made me laugh. Also, when Dr. Shepherd was mentioned and then Grey's anatomy...that series really follows me anywhere I go.

Going back to the book itself, I think it is well-written. This is my first book from Max Monroe and it really made me want to try her other works. I actually got it to the end despite disliking the divorcee trope, so I guess that explains a lot how good this book is.

The audiobook, the narrators did a good job narrating it, although there were some parts that I kind of cringed. I am not judging it entirely though afterall, this is my very first audiobook.

💎 Thank you Netgalley and Max Monroe for the ARC and ALC of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own and I am leaving this review voluntarily

Cluelessly Yours is the most recent book from author duo @authormaxmonroe it has the characters from previous books and I really enjoyed revisiting them. It can totally be read as a standalone but I do think you'd benefit more by reading the others first.

Sammy was such a great character. I really liked her. Noah was definitely swoon worthy. He knew what he wanted and he went after it. He wanted everything with Sammy including the kiddos. The characters are also over 40 and I truly found it refreshing to read.

Although this one wasn't as laugh out loud funny as the previous it was still enjoyable. I still found myself chuckling multiple times. I do think it was a bit drama heavy for me and the hesitation between both men kind of threw me off, but overall it was still a good read.

I am a Max Monroe fan and can't wait to see what they come up with next.

🎧 The narration by Sebastian York and Elizabeth Louise was on point. I really liked them for both characters, I do think they're what made me chuckle with their intonations and vocal expressions.

✨️Thank you to @netgalley, @goodgirlspr, @rick283 & @authormaxmonroe for my free ARC & audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

A love triangle romance that is a quick listen. Sammy was a fun and relatable character. There was a lot of depth to her character which. This is part of a series but worked as a stand alone for me.

Max Monroe has done it again with the banter filled story about Sammy, aka Brooke’s sister from Accidental Attachment, and her journey from recently divorced to lusting after two different men.

Tropes:

💜 Love triangle of sorts
💜 Single mom
💜 He falls first

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
Spice level: 🌶️
Angst level: 💔.5

Sammy has sworn off relationships after her ex husband was a complete piece of garbage and the fact that her life is an absolute mess. From her seven year old without a filter and her five her adventurous five year, she has her hands full.

So when she finds herself in like with two completely different guys - she finds herself confused and even more overwhelmed. One guy is giving her attention and the other one isn’t giving any signs that he’s into her.

I am being intentionally vague about her MMC as to not spoil which one she ends up with, even though I’m sure you will guess it early on!

As usual with a Max Monroe novel, we are getting all the banter. But my favorite laugh out loud parts were Sammy’s internal thoughts about her kids. She is SO real and definitely feeling the stress that us moms feel 24/7. I felt her character so relatable in that sense.

There is one side character that I am hoping we see find their HEA! Crossing my fingers!

This was a great listen and glad I chose it for my first audiobook of the year. Thank you so much to the author Max Monroe for letting me listen to it in NetGalley.

The characters are wonderful and I instantly loved them. The story is filled with humor which makes it so much fun. I love the two men options as the MFC love interest. They keep you guessing on who will be the better fit. Deep down you know who it’s going to be though.

I will definitely be reading more by this author. This book was a great palette cleanser and just leaves you happy.

Technically a stand alone and not part of a series, but I would recommend reading [book:Accidental Attachment|125069207] before reading this.

Single mom Sammy is always overwhelmed. Her two young boys and her demanding job keep her busy. She doesn't have time for a relationship. Suddenly there are two men in her life, trying to make it easier. She starts to realize that maybe a person would help matters instead of making it worse. But which one?

Noah is basically perfection. It is worth reading this book for him alone.

I really liked that the characters in this book are older- in their 40s. And I also appreciated that there was no insta-love. And despite there being a love quadrangle, it was not the focus. It was in the background.

The audiobook is narrated by Sebastian York and Elizabeth Louise. Both did an excellent job.

I received an advance audio copy in exchange for an honest review.

THANK YOU NETGALLEY AND MAX MONROE FOR THIS AUDIO ARC!!!!
1. This series is sooooo fun.
2. I’m addicted to Max Monroe stories.
3. This is a sexy as hell story.
4. I cannot choose a Max Monroe book boyfriend. They are all so wonderful. Instead, I will opt to adopt Seth Brown bc he’s so stinkin’ fun. I’ll take Grant, too!
5. Elizabeth Louise and Sebastian York did a spectacular job in their narration.

Cluelessly Yours is the newest standalone from author duo Max Monroe. This one has a divorced, single mom heroine who wakes up in a hospital next to her boyfriend/the man she loves after they were both in an accident…and oh yeah, a woman saying she’s his girlfriend and is pregnant is there too!

I’ve read the last few releases from this author duo and this one ended up just being okay for me. There was a little too many pop culture references, which I feel like ends up just aging a book and I’m never really a fan of. I also felt like it was obvious to see where the story was going to go/how it would unfold after the reveal in the beginning. I wasn’t a fan of going back in time for the entirety of the book to see “how they got there” to then catch back up with present day.

I feel like this author duo has its audience for sure, it just might not be me and I’ve given a few of their books a try now to discover that. This one was okay, just not for me.

I received an audio ALC from NetGalley, all thoughts in this review are my own. Cluelessly Yours is out January 13, 2024!
