While the story was cute at times, I did find the love triangle more annoying than cute at others. Knowing Noah was the MMC didn’t help with establishing trust with his character, with how he’s portrayed and how Sammy views him during most the book. But I guess that’s the point. I do feel the twist with Gavin wasn’t necessary.
It took me a week to listen to the audiobook. I did have to backtrack several times to listen to parts again because I felt like I missed something or didn’t really understand what happened.
The epilogue was fun, though.
Sammy Baker, a divorced single mom, was on a journey to rediscover herself, and boy, did she ever find her way! This romance novel was not only well-written but also captivating, keeping readers invested in the lives of all the characters. It was a breath of fresh air to witness a single mom finding her true love amidst the pages. The narration was impeccable, making it a joy to listen to from start to finish. A heartfelt thank you to NetGalley for providing the opportunity to experience this wonderful book.
A really cute listen! I enjoyed this story - especially the single-mom gets her groove back piece. An easy, light-hearted read.
This book is hilarious. I laughed out loud a few times. Keep that in mind when reading/listening.
This book follows Sammy who is the sister of Brooke (Accidental Attachment) and her life as a semi new single mother of two active little boys and her newly developed dating life. One one side you have Noah, the hot Doc that her sister has been trying to set her up with and on the other you have Gavin who is a businessman and regular at the restaurant that Sammy manages. Gavin actively pursues Sammy, while Noah’s pursuit is more subtle. There are a lot of misunderstandings, hilarious boy mom moments, and meddling sister incidents. This book has it all, and ad the heart is a mom trying to juggle being a mom and having a personal life.
I really enjoyed this story, I have read several Max Monroe books and this one is definitely entertaining. If you want a good story, with lots of twists and turns, and a ton of laughs, be sure you grab this one. You won’t be disappointed.
This was a good book! I liked the narrator
Thank do to NetGalley, the publisher, and author for letting me read this book!
This was so GOOD. I loved it!
I did not expect the plot twist I got with this. I thought that Sammy was a great FMC. I thought she was relatable in the ways that a person should relate to a single mom who is just starting to get back out into the dating scene after having kids (I haven't experienced it, but I understood her POV/feelings)
I do love me a good love triangle as well. I was not expecting the plot twist at the end either!
Sebastian York's voice could potentially make me like anything as well so I loved having the audio version!
Overall, I would recommend if you're looking for an easy read!
Thank you to Max Monroe & Netgalley for the e-arc/audio arc of this book! All thoughts and opinions are my own & were not influenced in any way!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book. I loved it! This book is about a woman named Sammy. She's divorced with 2 young sons and a career in a highly esteemed restaurant. She has a little sister who is pregnant and is her best friend. The book follows her through a little love triangle with a guy named Gavin who is super sweet and supportive as well as a guy named Noah who is a friend of her sisters and a pediatric anesthesiologist. I loved the sister dynamics, thought our main character was a good mix of funny, sensible but still quirky and I really shipped the relationship. The thing I didn't like about this book was the steam. It came after the relationship was established and I was fully bought in, so it didn't feel like senseless lust but I still don't need to read about it. Overall this was a really fun, cute and entertaining read that I didn't want to put down!
✨ ALC REVIEW ✨
Where did this book come from!?! This was my first Max Monroe book and now I want to go back and read every book in the backlog! I couldn't stop listening and enjoyed all the twists so much. And the ending!? Omg I was cracking up at the very last part of the epilogue.
Sammy was such an amazing character- I loved her so much. I felt the pressure and guilt she experienced being a mom in my soul. I also loved being in her head as she navigated dating for the first time after her divorce and the little love triangle she found herself in. The shenanigans of her boys had me laughing out loud and all the character's banter with each other and internal dialogues were amazing.

This audiobook was AMAZING!! I love Sebastian York and honestly picked this audiobook because he was the narrator. Noah's sections made me laugh out loud so many times. I loved how he read the internal dialogue. It was just perfect. Elizabeth Louise read Sammy and she was fabulous. I definitely want to listen to more audiobooks that she narrates. Five starts for this audio- for sure!
Thanks so much to Max Monroe and NetGalley for the opportunity to listen and review.

This is one of the first romance audiobooks that I have listened to. I usually read them so I wasn’t sure what I what I would think of it. I loved it though!
The narrators were PERFECT!
I had major Deja Vu while reading this because I had apparently started Accidental Attachment at some point and there is some overlap in these stories. I was confused until I realized that I hadn’t read this book, they just go together.
I absolutely loved this story so much. Audiobooks always take me longer to finish most of the time, especially ones I know could have scenes that I don’t want my 3 year old repeating. I kept trying to think of ways to squeeze more time to listen to this one.
Rating: 3.75/5
Thank you to the authors and NetGalley for access to this advanced copy in exchange for my honest opinion.
Leave it to Max Monroe to deliver an unparalleled plot that keeps readers on their toes. In their latest novel, I was treated to a storyline that was refreshingly unique and packed with humor that had me laughing out loud.
One aspect that truly stood out was the delightful duo of Sammy and Noah. Noah, in particular, stole my heart as the epitome of the perfect book boyfriend. His profession as a pediatric anesthesiologist added an intriguing layer to his character, and his unwavering love and care for Sammy's boys, not to mention his adorable puppy Dolly, made him utterly irresistible. I respected Sammy journey as a single mom and her journey to put herself a little bit in life.
However, amidst the laughter and heartwarming moments, I found myself slightly overwhelmed by the sheer chaos that unfolded within the story. From Gavin's antics to the pregnant girl and the whirlwind of friends, there were moments where it felt like there was just too much happening all at once.
Additionally, I must commend the exceptional narration of the audiobook version, which truly brought the story to life in a whole new way. The talented voice actors breathed personality into each character, making them feel vivid and real. Hearing Noah's charming words and Sammy's witty comebacks voiced with such authenticity added an extra layer of enjoyment to the experience. It felt like I was right there alongside them, experiencing every laugh and every heartfelt moment firsthand. The audiobook version truly enhanced my appreciation for the story, making it an even more immersive and memorable experience.
Overall, Max Monroe once again showcases their talent for crafting stories that are both entertaining and unexpected. While the chaos may have been a bit overwhelming at times, it was ultimately a small price to pay for the laughs and heartfelt moments that filled the pages of this delightful novel.
I was curious to see what would happen to Sammy when I found out book 3 was about her, and I was so happy.
I was lucky enough to snap the audiobook for this and it made the experience even more better.
I really like Sammy, and her struggles to rebuild her life as a mom of two, after a divorce, in a new city with a new job.
The love triangle was an added bonus, in this case. I don't usually like them, but it was executed pretty well, since it didn't go too long into it..
Noah is a cinnamon roll, what any woman needs in their life!
Thank you NetGalley and Max Monroe for the opportunity to read this book!
I LOVED this one. I think it’s my first 5 star of 2024 even. It was witty, funny, and had a great romance in it. The plot kept me turning pages and I really didn’t see the plot twist coming. The main character being a single mom added a wonderful element too and it just tied together really well.
🌀Synopsis
Sammy’s life is being a mom. She’s got her two boys and they keep her plenty busy- especially when they don’t behave at school. Sammy dreams of finding love again which is why she decides to take a chance when one of her customers asks.
Gavin is great but he also leaves some room for improvement. Especially when her heart is partial to the hot doc on the block, Noah, who her sister is trying to set her up with. Sammy keeps seeing him with a woman though so she decides to keep pursuing things with Gavin. That is, until he accuses her of being a tease and she leaves him upset. She ends up in the bar and runs into none other than Noah. They finally iron out the woman he’s been seen with and he admits he’s been attracted to her for awhile. They start seeing each other and it’s wonderful. Sammy is completely happy.
Then one day a pregnant woman knocks on the door and things get chaotic really fast.
5⭐, 2🌶️
I went into this book a bit iffy about whether I would enjoy it, as I wasnt the biggest fan of book one and realized I skipped book two. BUT I LOVED THIS! A Love triangle that kept me guessing, with a bit of mystery with the prologue? I was hooked! I binged this in less than a day and iregret taking so long to get to it because wow it was such a good audiobook - especially because I enjoyed Sebastian York and Elizabeth Louise as the narrators! They fit the two characters perfectly!

Thank you NetGalley and Max Monroe for an ALC of Cluelessly Yours, written by Max Monroe and narrated by Sebastian York and Elizabeth Louise. This is my honest and unpaid review!
Cluelessly Yours is book 3 of the It’s a Funny Story series by Max Monroe.
This is my third book by Max Monroe & I think this is my absolute favorite one yet!
Idk what it is about a man. Who is willing to step up when dads can’t / won’t but 🥵
I liked this more than I was expecting. I love Sammy from the start of this book. As I don’t know the struggles of being a single parent, I think that sometimes it’s easy to beat yourself up but Sammy was a pretty strong FMC for this role & I loved who she ends up with I think he’s just absolutely perfect.
I think this is a good book to go I to knowing less so the story line is more exciting for you!

Usually I don’t love a love triangle but I loved this one!
I adored Sammy, she really struggled with how to date after becoming a mom after divorce. I feel like this would be so hard so I related so much. Also she is kind of a mess and I feel that in my soul!
Sammy’s sister meddled so badly in this book but it was so funny. Also the kids were so freaking funny!
Thank you netgalley for this ALC

This was my first read by Max Monroe and I loved the story. It’s a fun rom com. Definitely had some moments where you laugh out loud.
Sammy hasn’t really been dating, spending most of her time with her two young sons. Her sister Brooke has been trying to talk her into seeing a doctor named Noah. But Sammy has been seeing someone, and every time she sees Noah, he’s with another woman. After her divorce, she is certainly not going to let a guy who dates that much into her life. But he seems so perfect other than that, and she finds herself thinking about him a lot. This book is definitely a fun read and holds your attention from the very beginning. I couldn’t wait to see what would happen. The story had so many twists that you just don’t want to out it down, and you definitely don’t want to miss out on anything.
I enjoyed the dual POV and seeing things through Noah’s eyes. It definitely gave a different perspective and you couldn’t help but root for him.
The characters are well developed and fun

Cluelessly Yours is a bit different from the other contemporary romance books I have read. It was funny, easy to follow, and enjoyable to read. I liked that the main characters were over the age of 35. I enjoy both main characters, I particularly liked Sammy’s interaction with her sister, Brooke, both had me laughing throughout the book.
Sebastian and Elizabeth were both amazing in narrating the story. I have heard Sebastian narrate before but this is the first narration I listened to by Elizabeth and she was incredible. Both kept me invested in the story and I enjoyed listening to it.
Thank you netgalley for the ALC.
I enjoyed the book and the Narrators did a fantastic job telling the story. I did have a few great laughs and the kids were funny! The biggest drawback for me and the only thing keeping it from five stars it’s the over usage of the full name. There was. Few places I feel it warranted it but not constantly. This wasn’t my first Max Monroe book and it won’t be my last!
First thing’s first: thank you Netgalley for the ALC of this book!
Cluelessly Yours was a cute rom com about a single mom of two young boys being convinced into reentering the dating pool despite her chaotic life. She finds herself stuck between two men despite not wanting any men and all the wild circumstances that entails. This was a cute, easy read. The big conflicts felt anti climactic because they wrapped up so quickly and easily, but I still enjoyed this one. Was it earth shatteringly good? No. Was it worth reading? Yes.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! Sammy was so relatable and I could empathize with her. I already knew from the beginning which man I was rooting for but there were some very interesting twists and turns for Sammy. Her relationship with her sister was great and her sons cracked me up with things they did or said. I listened to the audiobook and enjoyed the narrators very much. Sebastian York is an automatic yes for me. Elizabeth Louise was new to me and she did a great job with Sammy and the young boys' voices. I highly recommend this book!!
Thank you NetGalley and Max Monroe for sending this audiobook for review consideration.
