Cluelessly Yours was a super cute read. Sammy is a single parent to her 2nd grade and kindergarten aged boys, who are constantly getting into shenanigans. Having recently moved to New York City after getting divorced, she is trying to make a life for herself and her boys when she finds herself in the middle of a love triangle. When I read the synopsis for this book, I was starting to wonder if I was reading the correct book, because the part where she gets hit by a cab and wakes up in the hospital isn't until the 70% mark of the book. One thing that I thought was kind of weird for this book is that the epilogue was very long. I listened to the audiobook of this book and the epilogue was over 45 minutes! Overall, this was a cute read, however, be wary of the tropes that may not be ok for all readers: cheating and accidental pregnancy.
Many thanks to Max Monroe and Netgalley for providing me the ALC in exchange for my honest review! This audiobook was released on January 13, 2024.

I think this is a solid rom-com with not-so-young leads. We have Sammy Baker, a 41 year-old single mom with two young kids, who is being wooed by a businessman. The problem is that she's super attracted to a hot doctor. Then we have the prologue which happens later in the timeline where Sammy wakes up in the hospital and sees Noah in a nearby bed with his pregnant ex hovering over him.
Cluelessly Yours is just not my kind of rom-com. It's super buoyant and filled with comedy, to the point that I didn't feel like I got the deep character moments. I never felt connected to or that invested in Sammy or Dr. Noah. Her sister Brooke (who has her own book) was super annoying as the nosy matchmaker like a dog with a bone. Also, I did not like that dramatic plot elements were introduced but deflated/dispatched quickly in the least interesting ways. This includes the questions introduced in the prologue. Then in the main timeline, we get a love triangle--but it's obvious from the start that Sammy is attracted to one man and disinterested in the other.
I would recommend to anyone who likes reading about a romance between older characters and wants a very light, happy romantic read.
P.S. The narration by Elizabeth Louise is solid, and Sebastian York as the male narrator gives a fantastic performance as always.
I have never read (or listened) to a book by Max & Monroe and oh my goodness, what have I been missing!!
Immediately hooked in by the delightful warning at the beginning of the book, especially not to have any food in your mouth. Good advice as the amount of times I ugly0laughed out loud throught this book is innumerable!
Sammy is a single mother with two bundles of pure chaos in tow (her young sons) She has relocated far, far away from her intolerant parents and ex-husband (who did not even contest for custody of his boys)and commences a new life with her heavily pregnant sister nearby
Not only is she pondering on dating a friend of her sisters, but a mysterious stranger she bumped into in the street? Who will she choose?
However, I am getting ahead of myself, the book begins with a beep beep and we find Sammy stirring, from a coma, and the "love of her life" (not telling you which one" is still in a coma, with his heavily preggo gf by his side. Seriously, what level of head fluff must that be to wake up to!
Hilarity, chaos, confusion, a huge heart and oh so very relatable, The writing style is wonderfully paced and the plot flipping glorious!
Brilliantly narrated by Elizabeth Louise and Sebastien York, fantastic energy and pace that beautifully matches the narrative. Loved it!
Thank you to Netgalley and Max & Monroe for this hilarious ALC. My review is left voluntarily and all opinions are my own
This was a great story and the narration was wonderful as well. It’s a funny romance novel about being between two men but at the end there’s always the one that was meant to be. I really enjoyed this and it was my first foray into audiobooks.
Tropes:
Romcom - hilariously funny!
Single/divorced mom
Doctor hero
He falls first
Plenty of drama
This book had me laughing from the start!
Max Monroe is one of my favorite romance authors. She brings real life issues and charcters that are around you. This one is about single mother and hot doctor. It is not as easy to get into relationship and if any communication can go wrong they do, but if it is meant to be it will. Her male chatacters are dreams
It had been a hot minute since I last read a Max Monroe book, but the description of the book sounded like something I'd be down for. Right before starting I realized it was #3 in a series, but that didn't hinder my enjoyment of the book.
Cluelessly Yours is super cute, Max Monroe funny and they actually surprised me with the little bit of drama and angst they threw in for good measure. The story starts with the main characters in hospital beds, but with the MMC having a pregnant woman by his side saying she is his girlfriend, while the woman next to him in a hospital bed is in love with him. Duh duh duh.....
Alright, with a beginning like that, I was full fledge in. The story started in the present and then took us back in time to what brought us to this precarious predicament. Sammy Baker is a recently divorced mother of 2, 40+ woman that has had her life upended. She moved to the city to be closer to her sister so she'd have a little support for her and her boys. She was not looking for love or any sort of male companion. She was just looking to survive. But when her sister wants to set her up with someone, another man starts to show interest in her as well. What's a woman to do when she already thinks her life is too messy to even think about bringing one man into her life, let alone 2?
Told in dual POV, we get Sammy and her love's interest story from the past that lead up to them in hospital beds very injured. I liked seeing an older woman as the FMC simply because it was so relatable to me. She was funny and such a loving mother that actually had her life together better than she even knew. Now, the love interest, I'm not going to say who, but there are 2. At first. But it was always pretty obvious which one she should choose. And let me tell you, he's so dang swoony and the perfect balance and addition to her and the boys. The other one? Not so much. Well, maybe at first he's almost alright, but you just get douchey feelings from him almost from the start. You'll see.
I enjoyed the past and present timelines, but wish we got more of the MMC POV so I knew how much and for how long he harbored feelings for Sammy. Because once they get together, it's really insta. Even if it had been months in the making. They just moved super fast. But I loved their chemistry and I loved the way he took care of the boys. I love when we have single parents and the love interest falls not only for the single parent, but also with their children. It makes their love story that much more strong.
Lastly, the narration was wonderful with the audiobook. Sammy was performed by Elizabeth Louise and I believe she is a new narrator for me. She really captured her essence and did the story justice. Sebastian York is always a winner and he really brought the MMC's goodness to light. I'm so glad I was able to listen to the audio and enjoy their performance of this story. With a surprising level of heart, angst and a Max Monroe dose of humor, I really enjoyed the journey and "love triangle" of this story. I look forward to going back and reading the previous 2.

My Thoughts:
First, I did not realize this was book 3 of a series before I read. I thought it was fine as a standalone, but after reading, I think I would have enjoyed it more of I had read the previous books.
The story itself was addicting and the romance was chef's kiss. I was hooked from the very opening and had no choice but to finish. How do you walk away from a chapter like that?! I thought all the characters were likable, except for Gavin. I wanted to punch him early on. The narration was PERFECT! 10/10. I have enjoyed other audiobooks with Sebastien performing, but this was my first with Elizabeth. I will be looking out for more of her in the future for sure.
My only complaints are the language and sexual content (2 scenes), but I still enjoyed this audiobook despite those things. It was very hard to rate as the longer I thought about this after a few days, the more I loved it. I'm not sure I will go back and read the rest of the series, but I would definitely be open to reading more from this author.
Thank you, NetGalley, and Max Monroe for the opportunity to listen and review this advanced copy.
I really enjoyed this audiobook because it was the first time I'd heard both narrators. I loved their performance for this book.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to listen to this ALC.
Another wonderful love story from Max Monroe. This time, it features Sammy, Brooke's younger sister from "Accidental Attachment."
Brooke has been dying to set single mom Sammy up with her friend, the pediatric anesthesiologist Noah. And the more Brooke pushes, the less interested Sammy is, mostly because she can't believe that anyone as handsome and put-together as Noah would have any interest in a newly divorced single mom who's trying to pull her life together while chasing after two little, energetic boys. The more Sammy feels her life is out of control, the more she's convinced there's no way Noah could have the slightest interest in her.
At one point in the story, Brooke tells Sammy, something along the lines of "the right guy doesn't add a burden to your life; he makes your life easier." And that's something that Noah has no problem doing. His kind, sweet and caring nature shines through in everything he does, and there's nothing he wouldn't do for Sammy and her boys. The biggest challenge though is to convince Sammy of that.
I really enjoyed how this love story played out and how Noah proved himself time and again to be just the man to make Sammy's life that much sweeter.
Thanks to Max Monroe and NetGalley for an advance review copy.
Thank you NetGalley and publisher for this audio!
I really enjoyed this book way more than I thought I would. It’s sweet. It had me from page one! I didn’t really like the narrator all that much but I looked past that.
The opening chapter of this book holds you in. I love that the chapters are dated so that you could follow the progression. I was a little disappointed with how easily everything came together in the end, but overall it was a very enjoyable read.
Cluelessly yours was an excellent story and audiobook. Sammy and Noah meet and you were rooting for throughout the book to I become a couple. Sammy is the single mother of two moving to NY city. Noah is a single handsome doctor. The narrators did a great job portraying the characters and Brittney’s (Sammy’s pregnant sister) viewpoint as well. Quick read and hard to put down.
Cluelessly Yours had a different vibe to the other Max Monroe books I've read. This one wasn't quite as funny and a bit more serious but it was still really enjoyable. I found Sammy very relatable and I really liked her character. I enjoyed the twists with the story never really knowing which way it was going to go and enjoyed being kept on my toes. Loved the narration it really brought the story to life. Another enjoyable story by this duo.
this was such a whirlwind of a romcom! I don't usually like love-triangles but I didn't mind it so much in this story because it didn't take over the whole story and it was pretty obvious which guy would prevail as Sammy's love. I love single parent stories, and I just loved Sammy and her boys! they are so fun and wild and pretty accurate depictions of wild little boys who get into trouble but are so cute doing it. I have loved this whole series and loved reading Sammy's story with Brooke and Chase so intertwined throughout. I loved Noah's dedication in his interest in Sammy, knowing her kids come first and where her priorities lie, as well as knowing sometimes she needs rest and can't be the fully involved girlfriend. Noah is so sweet with Sammy and her boys, I loved how he takes care of all of them and includes the whole family in his pursuit of Sammy.
The story felt a little slow to start then catapulted to a big romance between Sammy and Noah, I didn't really see the falling part, they just were instantly into each other. I liked that Sammy was more or less fully into her relationship with Noah without still dating the other dude who turned out to be a jerk, it kept it less triangly of a plot which I like. I also didn't love the two side stories of infidelity, it just kinda brings the whole vibe of the romcom down, but I could easily see those parts in the story.
Overall, this is a cute and funny story, with some heavy topics sprinkled throughout that kept it down to earth and honest.
thank you for the ALC!!!

Life isn’t easy for Sammy Baker. She is divorced and has two boys. Sammy and her two sons have recently moved to New York City to be closer to her sister Brooke. Who knows where her ex-husband is. She takes a job as the manager of a restaurant. Between the pressure of work and raising her two rambunctious sons she has little to no extra time. She dreams of finding love again but how and when? Sammy finds herself drawn to two men: Gavin, a successful businessman that frequents the restaurant is quick to tell her he’s interested, he seems perfect maybe too perfect and a doctor named Noah, an anesthesiologist that is gorgeous; he has women falling at his feet. Sometimes what we want is not what we need. She finally makes a decision on which man then there was the accident. Sammy wakes up from a coma before the man she thinks she is in love with. A woman is standing next to his bed; she is pregnant and says the child is his.
One of the things I liked about this tale is the age of the main characters. They are probably in their 40s. Too often authors focus on characters in their 20s. Author Max Monroe offers readers a humorous look at life. I found myself laughing out loud several times. This book begins with a bang that caught my attention and held it to the last page.
Thank you NetGalley for the review copy of Cluelessly Yours.
4.5⭐️ This story was so much fun! It had a pretty interesting set up and some twists along the way but I really enjoyed the way everything came together.
It’s fast paced and hilarious and filled with so much heart. I loved seeing Sammy find her forever guy and the way he built her up and actively engaged with her kids melted my heart.
I loved this audio and the way Elizabeth Louise and Sebastian York brought the story to life. They really did an excellent job encompassing the energy in a Max Monroe story!
Cluelessly Yours is the newest offering from the masters of RomCom, Max Monroe.
These guys sure know how to give us one hell of a hilarious story!!
Sammy Baker is a divorced, single mum with two young and very rowdy boys. Her life is a roller coaster ride & she’s sort of got to the point where she might just be ready to try dating. Almost immediately she’s pursued by not one, but two, potential suitors!
Who will win her heart??
Will it be successful businessman Gavin or the very eligible bachelor Dr Noah?
There will be laughter & there will be tears.
There will be plot twists & all will be revealed…
It’s narrated by the absolutely divine Sebastian York & Elizabeth Louise!
Elizabeth Louise is the spot on as the voice of Sammy Baker! You’ll have to listen to before you find out which character Sebastian York is the voice of!
I love the storyline; so fun and engaging. I was fully invested and so pleased with the conclusion. The audiobook narration was a bit over the top dramatic for my taste, but I’m sure plenty of listeners will enjoy it. I also was given an arc of the e-book and preferred that to the audiobook. I will definitely read more from the Max Monroe authors!
After one attempt of not getting into it at I tried it again and was able to get several chapters in. But then I realized I still was not getting into it. I'm not sure if it was the narrator or that I just couldn't connect with the characters but something really fell flat for me with this one.
