Review: A good solid middle of the series novel that seems to be gathering a foundation before the big confrontation.

Takeshi's placement within the walls and the why of it, is predictable. It had to happen to build relevance into the MC and subesquent story line. There are a few predictable moves in this installment which was a bit of a downer. The back story was built in elegant fashion and did not detract from the movement.

The first installment of this series was brilliant. Broken Blades was a slight burden but a needed one. The finale' is going to be a barn burner, and I know I will be sad to see this series end.

I loved the first book and I love love loved this book. The world building was amazing. The stakes were high. There is magic, politics, military. This book has it all and I’m so excited to se what else this author puts out.
