However, Camille is not excited by the marriage, as Odin broke her heart all those years ago, but in order to become prefect of her homeland, she needs to marry first, and she's already got a string of failed engagements under her belt. Odin is her final hope, but she's not about to let him forget he hurt her.

I'm going to admit that I've had this book on my NG shelf longer than I should have, and it was when the third book became available that I decided to binge them all. On one hand, I'm glad I waited because I could read all 3 in a few days, but also I wish I'd read this earlier as it was so good! Camille and Odin first met 10 years ago, when his family was visiting Saint Pierre, and they fell in love under the fireworks. Keeping in touch as pen pals, Odin soon stopped replying, breaking Camille's heart. Since then, she's been engaged 6 times, but all have fallen through as she's never been able to commit to a loveless marriage. Odin is her final hope so that she can inherit her rightful place as Prefect of the small French territory, and it hurts that she has to accept him. Odin never realised the depth of her feelings, but has always cared for her, and when he was a suitor on The Suitorette, he accidentally shared his love of Camille - naming her in the process - when he was rejected. Knowing it would be humiliating for the episode to air without something else to take attention from it, he organises the engagement, not seeing Camille until the moment it's announced, and she's pissed to say the least. The book was full of Odin and his brother's trying to work out how to solve their problems, and wooing Camille. The brother's have a really strong relationship, and it's so fun to see them in the the subsequent books continue with the camaraderie.

Royal Rumble by Holly Kerr is a charming and lighthearted read.

The story follows a classic royal romance formula, which is enjoyable but somewhat predictable, unfortunately.

The characters are likable, and their chemistry is sweet, making for a pleasant escape into a fairy-tale world.

However, the plot lacks depth and surprises, which might leave some readers wanting more. That's the reason for my 4 star review.

But, despite this, Kerr's writing is engaging, and the book provides a delightful, easy read for fans of the genre. It's a good pick if you're looking for a cozy, feel-good romance, but it may not stand out among the myriad of royal love stories out there.

So, Lady Camille and Prince Odin had a moment when they were younger. Camille was hooked, so much so that she wrote hundreds - yes, hundreds - of letters to him, with barely any response. Now, years later, she needs a husband, and Odin is trying to bounce back from a failed 'Bachelorette' type fiasco. A marriage between them is arranged, but can it be anything more than a marriage if convenience?

This was one of those quirky and sweet reads that has some slow-burn romance, but nothing spicy in this sweet royal romp 🚫🌶️

I loved Odin and Camilla! This was such a great story. I cannot wait to read the next books!!! I am absolutely obsessed with this! It's like my version of a soap opera. Love love love. The banter was perfect, the romance was on point. Love it!

I like this one a lot. Both MCs were likable but I felt the plot lagged in a few places and the ending was so abrupt! I wish there was more time to see Odin and Camille together as a couple.

This was a fun, lighthearted royal romance. I am a sucker for arranged marriages and this one did not disappoint. I enjoyed the Dual POV and the pacing was good. The characters were engaging and I really like Camille.
The backstory is so sweet, Camille met Odin as a teenager and proceeded to write to him daily, he was her first love and fate aligns to bring these two together through an arranged marriage.

Overall cute but basic storyline of falling in love young and finding their way back to each other without a lot of plot or details regarding what occurred over the last 10 years or what they’d like to become in the next stage of their lives. I hope the rest of the series expands further.

An enjoyable read, A Royal Rumble filled Kate and Odin, royalties to be joined in an arranged marriage. However Kate and Odin had a brief romance one night 10 years prior. But after not hearing from Odin again, Kate is left to mourn there one special night.
Fast forward 10 years, hot off Odin being booted off a Bachelor style reality show, he is looking to get married. Kate has six failed engagements, so this is their last chance. But will the sparks fly or will the unanswered questions from 10 years ago, be the deal breaker.
A cute love story with likeable characters.

This book has all the real life romance troubles that you would expect. Add a prince, a lovely laughable lady, and you'll enjoy every moment of this story.

Camille is next in line to rule Saint Pierre and Odin is the second in line to rule Laandia. Odin wants so badly to find his life partner. They met once when they were teenagers and it was young love now they are to be married and it was arranged.

This book was light hearted. Zero spice which is good or bad depending what you like.

#NetGalleyARC I LOVED this book. I loved this book, it wasn't super cheesie but it was just perfectly romantic. I love the idea of rekindled relationship and the connection between the two main characters. I thought that the author wrote royal characters that were relatable and not the usual stereotype for that character. A great read!

Royal Rumble is a sweet second chance arranged marriage between Odin and Camille. I wasn't super into the characters, I just couldn't get behind them, but I really enjoyed Kerr's writing and ability to create an interesting story. I would recommend this for anyone into a second chance romance with an added layer of the reunion being arranged.

The angst between the two characters was great. The story is fun and the ending was great. I will definitely be looking for book two. It was such a a great read

Decent first book in what seems to be a multi book series. Left me wanting for more between the two characters. There was not enough interaction nor spark to truly get me hooked on the characters. I can see what Kerr is doing with the multiple siblings for future books and their love stories. I hope that there is more for their journey for love than this book

I love a royals love story and I just adore an enemies to lovers trope, so this book was a quick, cute read. I liked the setting, and the flashbacks between ten years ago and the present were really good at rounding out the story.

This is a very weird book. It seems to take place in an alternate universe where Newfoundland and Labrador ceceded from Canada (before Canada was even a country, I might add) and also monarchies are really popular near Canada? I would really love it if someone explained St Pierre and Laandia to me, but I guess that just wasn't important?

St Pierre is part of France, yet has an inherited position of prefect, yet they're not royalty or nobility, yet Camille is called Lady Camille, yet there is no mention of royalty in France 'cause you know guillotines, so literally nothing makes any sense at all. Odin's family is supposedly descended from Vikings but they don't even use patronym last names correctly? It's like the author did literally no research and then assumed that no one would have any questions.

There is essentially no plot other than Camille is mad, Odin is confused, and shopping. Also every shop in Laandia is an alliteration of name and type of shop; Arnold's Attire, Sera Sports, Helen's Hunt, etc. That is how a child names fake stores. Please. Make it make sense. Camille's mantra is also "be more Elsa than Anna", which again, is something you tell a child, not that a woman who is at least 27 thinks constantly. I mean, she would be at least 16 when Frozen came out, come on.

AND THE WORST THING. A FADE TO BLACK MAKEOUT. Yeah, you read that right. I have never, ever seen anything like that even in YA or middle grade books. What kind of a romance book is this?

Every single problem in this book could have been solved by two adults having a conversation. But no, everyone acts like a child and refuses to speak to each other so they can stew in miscommunication then wonders why everything is going wrong. USE YOUR WORDS.

For a romance book, there is nothng particularly romantic in this book. The world makes no sense, there's essentially no plot, and the characters are flat as cardboard.

this was a sweet and lighthearted royal romance. it is medium paced in my opinion, but the writing is really easy to follow. i loved how we got both camille's and odin's pov. the story was cute and i definitely enjoyed it but i guess i was expecting something a bit different. the premise of the book seemed more interesting than the actual plot. i just felt that it was repetitive at times. i will be reading other books in this series though as i am interested in the other brothers!

Kate was by far my favorite character, I connected to her right away. Other then that the book was not to my taste. There was nothing wrong with the writing style or the characters, I just could not get into the story
