Secrets drove this emotion-tingling romance…
And they were delicious! Chase and Piper were fire as they met under less-than-ideal circumstances and unexpectedly found themselves battling their demons, together. Piper was a small-town girl who learned a lot in the big city and knew how to stand up for herself. Chase, thrown into the rich world of his estranged father, was ready to embrace it – under his own terms…
The fun-filled, snappy dialogue between them, and their supportive and equally entrancing co-characters, made for a story that read far too quickly for my liking. Secrets abounded and wove their way into the plot and their courtship that made this drama-filled story one that needed lots and lots of popcorn.
When I finish a book and want to start at the beginning, I know I’ve a good one. When I start stalking the shelves for more it moved to great! I was thrilled to find this was a first in a new series and there were other books already written in this world. I can’t wait to dive in!
All Our Tomorrows by Catherine Bybee is a gripping romance with an intriguing blend of family secrets, high-stakes drama, and undeniable chemistry. The story follows Chase Stone, a reluctant billionaire who unexpectedly inherits his father’s multibillion-dollar empire. Along with his sister Alex, Chase is thrust into a world he’s spent his life avoiding—until a shocking discovery of a half-brother they never knew existed puts everything at risk.
Piper Maddox, Chase’s father’s former assistant, knows the ins and outs of Stone Enterprises and its shady history, but she’s reluctant to return to the family fold—especially for Chase. However, desperate financial circumstances force her to agree, setting the stage for a tense and passionate dynamic between the two. What ensues is a tangled mix of professional tension, sizzling attraction, and the challenge of uncovering family secrets while keeping their personal lives from falling apart.
Bybee expertly balances the suspense of the Stone family drama with the simmering romance between Chase and Piper. Both characters are complex and well-developed, with a chemistry that feels real and relatable. The stakes are high, not only in terms of business and inheritance but in the emotional journey that both characters undertake.
All Our Tomorrows is an engaging read that blends romance with mystery and family intrigue. Bybee’s writing keeps you hooked from start to finish, and the combination of sizzling chemistry and dramatic twists makes it a page-turner you won’t want to put down. Fans of romantic suspense will definitely want to add this one to their must-read list.
I liked this one! I love when a romance is intertwined with a mystery and this one did such a good job. Great slow burn too!
Chase and Alex Stone are shocked at the reading of their estranged father’s will. They can't believe that their father left them anything, little own 1/3 of his estate, including his voting shared nd Stone Enterprises. What about the other 1/3? It goes to their half brother, a person they had no idea existed. In order to complete the conditions of the will, they must find him. Both Chase and Alex are successful business persons, but Alex must resign from her role in a rival hotel company. When they arrive at their new company, they find out that their father recently fired his admin assistant, so the first thing is to get her back. Chase approaches Piper Maddox to come back and work for him. He is made aware that she was let go for refusing his father's advances. Chase promises her a raise, and that he won't be like his father, so she agrees. Piper is no nonsense, efficient, smart, a go-getter and pregnant. As Chase, Alex and Piper work together to find the mysterious Maximillion and stabilize the company, Chase and Piper find that they have chemistry that is hard to ignore.
I enjoyed this first book in the series and quickly moved on to the second. Chase and Alex are very down to earth characters. They are honest, hard-working and have values, something that their father lacked. They want to make the company theirs, but in an ethical way and know they will butt heads with some of the executives and board members. I really enjoyed Piper's role in all of this. She was able to get things done. The romance between Piper and Chase was a slow burning. The more time they spend together, the harder it became to resist their attraction to one another. This is clearly Chase's story, so we don't get to know Alex as well, but I am looking forward to her story. The secondary characters round out the cast of good and bad players with secrets that will be answered over the future books in the series. The search for the missing heir and the treachery in their father’s corporation and boardroom have the plot moving at a fast pace, The discovery of the third sibling ends the book in a cliffhanger, but with the second one published, I won't have to wait long.
This was my first time reading something by this author and it won't be my last. The story is filled with a compelling blend of family drama, romance, and corporate intrigue. Chase was estranged from his father when he died, so he never expected to inherit anything, let alone find out he had another sibling he knew nothing about. Piper is the assistant that his father fired before dying, and she is the only one who really knows about the family business. She's not in any hurry to work for Chase, but being in a financial bind, she really has no other choice. Piper is attracted to Chase, but she clearly has her boundaries and tries to abide by them. Despite the resistance from both, their chemistry is off the charts and absolutely sizzles with tension and their witty banter is definitely a highlight of the novel. The combination of professional growth and personal revelations paired with a budding romance made this a delightfully charming story. The mystery surrounding the half-sibling added a level of intrigue to the story.
Overall, it was a well-written story with interesting characters and kept me engaged from start to finish.
I received a complimentary copy from NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.
All Our Tomorrows is the first book in The Heirs series.
This story starts at the funeral and the reading of the will of Chase and Alex Stone's father. It is clear from the beginning they have been estranged for many years. It comes as a shock to them when they inherit their father's estate. Each are successful on their own. After their father's wife is essentially cut out except for the prenup they learn the extent of the inheritance. They also learn there is a half-brother they never knew about and need to locate to complete the conditions of the will.
Chase Stone learns Piper Maddox, his father's executive assistant, was fired a few weeks before his father's death. He reaches out to the angry woman and discovers she was wrongly fired and hires her back to help him, and Alex get up to date and keep the company running while they locate their long-lost brother.
After being fired, Piper Maddox has no desire to work for the Stone family, but when she meets Chase, she agrees to return with conditions once she see his in nothing like his father. In time they find there is something between them which Piper tries to fight.
This was an interesting story and looks to be a good start to a new series. I enjoyed the Stone siblings but there are several gaping holes in the story that we can only hope are resolved in the rest of the series. I wouldn't say that the story ended with cliffhangers but were more likely unfinished stories that left me wondering why they weren't wrapped up to move on to other plots not revealed. All that aside, I would still recommend this book.
This was such a good read. The pace was on the slower side because this is the first in a series. The characters are well developed, realistic and certain ones you are rooting for from the beginning.
Piper's sass and Chases charm make for good banter and balance in their relationship. I love that Alex and Chase have such a good relationship. I will be interested to see if her love story comes in one of the next books.
As usual, I think there is too much detail on the steamy scenes, but there aren't too many of them. Most of the story is about so much more than just the romance.
The end of the story was obviously leading into the next book.
All Our Tomorrows is the first book in The Heirs trilogy.
Chase and Alexandra Stone unexpectedly inherit their father's multi-billion dollar empire after being estranged from him for many years. However, mentioned in their father's will is a third sibling, a brother they knew nothing about.
Piper, their father's assistant, was fired a few weeks prior to his death due to rejecting his unwanted advances. Being the only person that knew their father and the company well the siblings re-hire her to not only familiarize them with the company but also to assist with the search for their brother. She quickly becomes one of their most trusted allies and at the same time sparks begin to fly between Piper and Chase.
Catherine Bybee is a great storyteller and gives us a captivating read!
Thank you to NetGalley and Montlake for an arc of this novel in exchange for my honest review.
At the end of this book, I learned that it is part of a spin-off series from the Montgomery clan books, titled "Not Quite," which I found interesting. I'm not sure if the Stones appear in that series, but the Montgomerys play a significant role here. This is the first of three books so far that focus on the Stone clan.
After the death of their father, Chase and Alex discover that they have inherited the majority of his estate, including equal ownership of his company. The catch is that they have a half-brother they were unaware of, and their father left no information about him. Unlike most billionaires, Chase and Alex did not know their father and were not a part of his world; they had built their own successful lives and companies.
Piper, the senior Stone's assistant, was fired after rejecting unwanted advances. When Chase and Alex take over the company, they find that she is the only person with knowledge about what is happening and decide to bring her back. She quickly becomes one of their most trusted allies and catches the eye of Chase. Although Chase does not want to emulate his father, he feels an undeniable attraction to Piper, who is equally drawn to him. As they dig through the past to uncover the identity of the third Stone child, Chase and Piper must navigate their growing attraction.
This book is fairly entertaining; it takes the billionaire trope and turns it on its head. The billionaire, unfamiliar with wealth, is learning what it means to be rich, while the assistant helps him in that role. The love between Chase and Piper develops quickly, but it doesn't feel like instant love, which is somewhat acceptable. Personally, I'm not a fan of the pregnancy trope, yet the author managed to subvert it as well.
I found the sister character intriguing and hope to see more of her in future books, as she lost much more in the acquisition of Stone Enterprises than Chase did. The chemistry between the love interests is evident, but there is a high cheese factor throughout. I adored the Montgomerys, and I almost want to visit their series to learn more about their backstory. Overall, the book is decent; it's a typical mysterious will-search-and-find story with romance as the focal point.
I enjoyed the book, even though it was very predictable and kind of cheesy. I did feel like the book just kind of left off at the end. I'm guessing the story continues in the next book, since it's part of a series. I felt like it needed a bit more closure on this book before ending.
Before this book, I had read a sad, everything-goes-wrong book, so this was a good, lighthearted palette-cleanser of a book.
Although I enjoyed the book, I don't know if it was enough for me to continue reading the rest of the series. It was okay. Not bad, not great. ⅗ stars.
Thanks to NetGalley for an early copy of this book!
This is the story of a brother and sister who inherit their fathers business. What will happen, how will the business go, what will happen with the family! Piper and Chase are great characters and well developed. This is a story of family, it builds and develops along the way and is very easy to read. I enjoyed it and found it a story that was well paced and had that little bit of mystery that kept you hanging in there.
A great book and I look forward to seeing what comes next from this author.
Thank you NetGalley and Montlake for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.
An interesting story that has Chase Stone and his sister inheriting their father’s company. Not having anything to do with him for years they were not expecting anything when the will was being read. The only surprise for them was that their father left very little to the current wife of five years who happens to be close in age to the daughter. Chase and Alexander work through the troubles of the company and Chase works at hiring the former assistant to his father and finding out why she was let go. Piper Madox though has her worries and as she agrees to come back to work her time with Chase becomes more and more to the point where they are dating. There are many different storylines with many different characters but the author does a fantastic job of making everything work, a very good book.

Disclaimer: I love all Catherine Bybee books! She is one of my favorite authors and this first installment in the new "Heirs" series does not disappoint. All Our Tomorrows starts the saga of the very wealthy Stone Family who are the subjects of "The Heirs" series. This book follows the eldest son Chase and his siblings after the death of their father. It is also the romantic story of Chase and Piper, who meet at Stone Enterprises where Piper is the executive assistant when Chase and his siblings become CEOs. This is a story of family secrets, drama, romance, and of course, an absurb amount of money! As per usual of Bybee, All Our Tomorrows is very well written and full of fun and relatable characters. It serves as a wonderful start to a new series. I am looking forward to book #2!
This is a good book. The two main characters are Piper and Chase. Piper has just been fired from her job as a personal assistant at Stone Enterprise. Chase and his sister Alexhave just found out their father, who owns Stone Enterprise has passed away and left them everything. They find out Piper had been fired and hire her back and give her a raise. Chase and Alex ask Piper to help find their half brother. Piper and Chase have issues but together they work them out and fall in love.
I really enjoyed this novel and kept me engaged the entire time. A millionaire dies and leaves his company to his two children Chase and Alex. Their father’s main assistant Piper is fired right before their father’s death and Chase is determined to bring her back since she understood the business side of things like no one else. This leads to romantic feelings, and finding hidden secrets of Chases father.
Well, I haven't read Catherine Bybee book that I didn't like. This one had me hooked from page one. I read it in one sitting. Great one.
This is your typical knight in shining armor story with a twist. You immediately fall in love with the protagonist and identify with her pride, strength and determination to handle all the lemons life throws her way. Enter her knight in shining armor that may need her more than she needs him???? Highly recommend if you are looking for a light, interesting read.
How much did I love capable, smart and sweet Piper? She really stole the show for me because she was such a fantastic character. Chase was great too and I really liked the family interplay as they tried to find their lost brother. The whole story was developed with really good characters that kept me invested in the family and the extended arc. Good banter that made me smile and I have to say, I absolutely love strong heroines and Piper really fit the bill! Thanks to NetGalley for an early read!
I was first introduced to Catherine Bybee with her Richter series. Romantic suspense is my absolute favorite genre, but I enjoyed her writing so much that I decided to try her D'Angelos series. And what an emotional journey that was. It was raw, honest, heartwrenching, and heartwarming feelings all rolled into one excellent romance series. I highly recommend all of her books at this point!
All Our Tomorrows kicks off her next series, The Heirs, and I am officially here for however many books this series ends up being. It’s an engaging story with a HEA. As usual, Ms. Bybee’s writing and storytelling ability made me not want to put it down—even when life intruded upon my reading time! I highly recommend this story and am anxiously looking forward to the next book!
