De bet Perry has done it again! She’s created a perfect world that I so desperately wish I lived in! The love these characters had for each other had me crying screaming😭 my heart broke with THE revelation (iykyk) I didn’t see that one coming 🥹 I’m so happy I was able to get this arc and I enjoyed every second of it!

Crossroads is Devney’s first installment of her new series, Haven River Ranch. And it did not disappointment. I am so obsessed with all the characters. Montana is clearly the place to be!

This was a sweet, easy to read childhood friends-to-lovers, second chance, small town romance.
Is it my favourite Devney book? Definitely not.
Will I ever reread it? Nah.
Am I looking forward not book two? Yes I am.

I liked the dual timeline aspect of this book, getting to relive West and Indya's past and getting each bit of their backstory at just the right time to understand the present day happenings was done really well.

I struggled a little bit to really feel like they had a real connection in the present day, beyond the physical attraction and both a bit stuck on their feelings in the past, I just didn't really feel it between these two.

The "conflict" had so much build up and was honestly a bit anticlimactic but I will say that the ending and exploration of Indya's family relationships was really emotional and written so well! The book instantly earns an extra star for making me cry 😂

4,5 stars

A true small town cowboy, childhood-friends-to-lovers, second-chance romance.
I really liked West and Indyas story and their connection. The setting was great, and even though I haven’t been to Montana, the way that Devney Perry described the setting, it made me feel like I was there.
I can’t wait for the next installment in the series, which is Jax’s storyline.

This is book one of the Haven River Ranch series and I so excited for what’s to come!

This one hooked me in straightaway and I loved every minute! This was such a great second chance slow burn romance that was so full of tension!

I loved the flashback glimpses of their past as the story kept building. My heart broke, some tears and then it was mended again ❤️‍🩹

Such a beautiful story of two people who were always meant to be each others person 🥹

Devney Perry is back with another small town cowboy romance! For all fans of the Eden-Series this is a must read. I think for readers enjoying Elsie Silver's books this might be a great recommendation as well!

The fact that there are Montana roots makes me feel like I'm being called to a not so far away land da and I adore the setting and characters in every book l've picked up by Devney Perry!

- Montana vibes and small town seems accurate for the state... I mean really it's easy to find a lack of vegetarian food but plenty of pasties?
-Small town family drama
- themes of grief and medical illness
- Ranches and horses
- second chance romance kinda turned enemies to lovers ish ? Indya & West are a power couple
- I always love how easy the authors books are to read as far as writing style
- definitely recommend reading if the mountains are calling your soul& if you liked The Eden's series (there is character crossover!)
- the steamy scenes oooof… MMC is quite direct and knows what he wants but the spice doesn't hit immediately so be prepared for some tension!

Devney Perry does it again. Another beautiful read. I adore the dual timeline as we slowly uncover how Indya and West’s relationship went from being so close to falling so far apart. West is so dreamy and I love his passion for his ranch and keeping the legacy alive and i love that as much as he tries to see Indy as the villain, he ultimately knows that she isn’t and sees all the ways she too is trying to protect the integrity of the ranch. The slow burn is perfect and I think Indy and West are the ultimate right people, wrong time and wrong place story and it’s incredible to see them work together to be at the right place and time. I also love how Perry manages to pull at the heartstrings with Indy’s relationship with her father too, those phone calls had me balling!

Unfortunately I didn't really connect with either main characters in this one, and I think it's largely down to the fact that the reader is supposed to root for their second chance romance. However I don't think we got enough backstory to justify their current feelings about each other. They fall, literally, for each other all over again very quickly without any build up and I desperately wanted the yearning and angst and slow burn. Also, West just came across as an awful character who treats everyone appallingly.

Not for me,but I did like the small town ranch vibes.

Ugh this book had me choke hold. I always underestimate Devney Perry and by the end of the book, I wish it never had to end. This one even produced ugly tears. Just buy it. Just read it. Just do it. You best believe I’m stalking around for book 2.

Crossroads is hands down my new favorite Devney Perry book. I feel like I say this with each new release of hers, but in my defense…I mean it every time. 😂 I mean, come on. A small town, second chance romance? That’s only my two FAVORITE tropes combined into one unforgettable love story by one of my favorite authors. What’s not to love?!

With the first book in the Haven River Ranch Series, Devney Perry reunites former lovers, West Haven and Indya Keller, whose connection has withstood time and distance. Despite their vastly different lives, West and Indya are drawn together over and over again, forming a friendship that naturally evolves into something more. But reality’s intrusion in their sanctuary meant their timing and circumstances never aligned…at least until Indya returns to the Haven’s family ranch as the new owner to revitalize the struggling resort.

Achingly sweet, wistfully nostalgic, and heartbreakingly romantic, Crossroads is a story about second chances and new beginnings. West and Indya are characters with a shared history that’s overshadowed by evocative, haunting memories, all of which are stirred up when they come face to face after years apart. Their present interactions are rife with tension and longing, with their past looming between them like an ever-present reminder of all they’ve been through together. But what had me racing through each chapter was the chemistry between West and Indya, which heats up the pages with the passionate, all-consuming, unrestrained intimacy between them.

If you’re in the mood for a second chance romance that’s sexy and swoon-worthy, and will tug on your heartstrings, Crossroads is an unforgettable start to the Haven River Ranch Series that took me on an emotional roller coaster. From start to finish, it’s impossible to put down, and while I was reluctant to say goodbye to these characters, I was left perfectly satisfied and impatiently awaiting the next book in the series. Is it too soon to beg for Daylight? Because I need it.

What a beautiful and engaging cowboy romance !! I loved the characters in this one but I really really loved watching their relationship develop over their lives. The flashbacks really brought the story together and made me believe in them as a couple. Rather than leaving their past vague, we are really shown every step of their love as they grow up together. I really enjoyed the twists and turns too, like the real reason behind her actions and all the stuff hidden in the background and it answers so many questions you have about her motivations as well as Wests Dads actions. I really enjoyed the undeniable chemistry between West and Indy, they knew each other so well without knowing each other at all, it was really good. In terms of spice it was about a 2.5/5 given that it was a short book there was a fair portion of spice in it from about a third of the way in. Overall, I thought it was really well done, I really enjoyed it and I was engaged from the moment I picked it up. It’s a 4.5/5 cause I would’ve loved to have seen more of them talking and rebuilding together but that’s just me wanting more of Indy and West. Definitely would recommend to anyone with a love for cowboy romances.

This series is off to an incredible start. I never have any doubts that whatever Devney comes out with, I’ll immediately fall in love with. And this book was no exception. I ADORED this book. I binged it in one day and for the next few weeks, had these characters and their story float in and out of my mind constantly. I can feel it in my soul that Haven River Ranch is going to be an all time favorite series even with only one book out so far.

West and Indya became some of my new favorite characters and a new favorite couple. The setting in Montana, the small town and family ranch vibes, the side characters… all of it formed this beautiful and perfect story. There was also a dual timeline which I absolutely LIVE for and Devney always does them perfectly. Devney has the perfect combination of heartache, depth in the characters, and a hot cowboy. What more could we want?

Everything was done exceptionally well and I know this will be a book I reach for time and time again as a comfort read for a beautiful story with the signature Devney style.

This book just shattered me. I was not expecting or anticipating to be sobbing. Indya and West’s story is so beautiful. I think this is the first time that I read a book where I actually appreciated the dual timelines. I really enjoyed being able to see how their summers were as well as the progression of their relationship.

I think the biggest thing that hit me the most was Indya’s dad. The voicemails gave me an inkling, but I was thoroughly not expecting the gut punch. Also, I hated Blaine and I will continue to do so.

Yet another beautifully written book by Devney Perry. I swear this woman has no faults.

Due to some events that took place when I was given the ARC access I was unable to pick this up until recently. I'm glad I did and regret tenfold that I didn't have the emotional capacity to read it before the release date.

I loved the flashback and forward style, I appreciate the context of the past being played out within the current story. You could actually feel the angst and pining and TENSION MY GAHHHHH from the very beginning. Devney yet again writes in a way that has you invoking the feelings of the characters and while you work through overwhelming emotions, you get little bits and pieces of what the greater picture is starting to look like.

What set this up as a unique second chance for me was the underlying element of mystery regarding decisions hinted at in the beginning of the book. Not only was I drawn in to needing to know what happened (or didn’t based on your perspective) between our two MCs but I HAD TO KNOW THE SECRET.

There’s a watercolor horse, a cattle ranch slash resort, longstanding family drama, betrayal and regret, a no-nonsense business woman with an eye for rejuvenation and a stoic cowboy who’s place will never be anywhere but his family’s ranch.

Another book of Devney’s that delivered an absolutely emotional gut punch, I devoured this within a day.

If you like:
- The concept of two people orbiting around each other with increasing magnetism as years go by
- Messy family drama and imperfect family units that still provide love and support
- Honoring family traditions and understanding what that means in relationship to individual happiness
I couldn't stop reading in one sitting, and I cried my heart out in grief and relief by the time we were finished.
