If there’s one thing Devney knows how to write, it’s Montana cowboys. *swoon* This book gave me the feelings of Indigo Ridge with those same vibes and I love IR!!
This book goes back and forth in time from when Indy and West first meet at ages 8 and 10 to the present time. You get to experience their interactions over the years and see how much they enjoy each other’s company while Indy’s family comes for one week each summer at West’s Montana resort.
As the years go by, their attraction does too, but how could it ever work since they live long distance? They live their lives separately until that one week in the summer when their roads cross.
After not being back in Montana for 4 years, Indy is back on the resort FOR GOOD. But West feels betrayed by Indy’s decision to buy the ranch. It was supposed to be HIS ranch, when his father retired. Will they be able to work together to make the resort what it used to be? But also, navigate their own personal feelings for each other.
There’s so much heartbreak in this book, that it had me teary eyed. Devney knows how to make you feel things for her main characters and it was such a beautiful ending. I cannot wait for Sunlight and to read Jax’s story next!

Trigger warning: this book does deal with a family having cancer and the loss of a family member.
I finished this about an hour ago. Took a shower. Had a meltdown over Taylor Swift surprise song o’clock. And I’m still trying to figure out exactly what I want to say because this was just so good!
I don’t want to spend too much time summarizing, the one from the description is done well.
I do want to spend time telling you about how much I loved our MCs.
Indya has lived with her father battling cancer most of her life. Her and her parents spend 1 week a summer at the ranch, which is her father’s favorite place. While spending time there, she meets West and they become friends that eventually leads to more as they get older. But we start the whole book with them as sort of enemies. You don’t know what happened for sure and I absolutely loved how Devney Perry flowed this storytelling. But you do know Indya mostly out of the blue purchased West’s family ranch while he had no idea just how bad the financials were because his father kept him mostly on the dark.
They haven’t seen each other in years and the first time they lay eyes on each other, after missing their true chance to be together years prior, is him finding out she was the new boss.
I was hooked from the beginning.
I loved the tension between Indya and West. She was a strong woman for what she has been dealing and he was a broody cowboy for his own issues. They both inadvertently dealt some blows to each other that had derailed their paths to each other, but I think it just made them stronger in the end.
You can feel the heartbreak they have both been living with and then the new heartbreak of them being around each other as adults and coming to terms with what happened between them.
I honestly feel like I’m just word vomiting now, but this was just so damn good.
The last 25% had me emotional.
I knew what was coming, but I also didn’t, and I just wanted to hug Indya and tell her she was doing a great job & the right thing.
And West had me melting with his broody cowboy attitude and his well timed “baby”s. THIS MAN. Might be my favorite Devney Perry man.

Devney Perry is the queen of small town romance and this book is her best and shaping up to be my favorite series of hers!
They story was engaging and I really loved it. The tension and storytelling this book felt new and I loved their dynamic. I really liked that this felt like a Devney Perry story but with a unique storyline. I loved the past lovers, secret romance, small town boy and city girl romance. I really liked how we see the relationship progression from childhood to adults and the moments together from the past and them meeting again in the future. so when she takes over and buys his family ranch and decides to help them turn it over, he's not pleased with his father or her but I liked that being together again reminded them of how good they are together and sadly how much time they missed together and how differently their lives went but they were always meant to be and they always come back to each other. Now they are both more mature and get that chance to form a life in the place where they fell in love and felt the most happy. I loved the side characters. the longing, the tension, the hurt, the pining. this is truly my favorite book of devney this year and top of hers of all time. I loved their story and how perfectly it ended for them and I cannot wait to read the next book in the series. Crossroads is so good and I cannot wait to reread it in paperback on release day. fans of devney will love this book and I cannot recommend it enough! This is a must read story this summer!
She’s done it again! Devney Perry yet again has me packing my bags because I’ve decided to move to Montana, get a job at a resort, and find myself a cowboy.
Crossroads brings us the story of Indya and West, a love story spanning years between these childhood friends who turn into so much more. Each summer, Indya and her parents visit West’s family’s ranch/resort in Montana and we follow as they grow up and fall in love. With dual timelines, the present day story brings us Indya’s return to the ranch with the bombshell news that she’s bought the ranch from West’s dad.
The two butt heads as Indya makes changes to the resort and I was living for their banter and tension. They were immediately both drawn into each other again and it was just a delight. Their story packed a real emotional punch as well, there is a lot of grief and loss Indya especially has to work through but West does as well.
I loved the setting, the side characters, and it sets up really well for book two which I’m already ready for!
I loved this beautiful story! One thing about me is I take my bedtime very seriously and the fact that I stayed up until 1 am to read it, basically in one sitting, tells you how much I really really loved it!

Crossroads follows Indya Keller and West Haven. It starts with Indy returning to West's family ranch/resort as the new owner, years after he broke her heart.
I really enjoyed this book. It is really heavily focused on their characters and the relationship between West and Indy. This takes place in the present day, with interspersed chapters of each year Indy's family came to stay at the ranch.
Indy is such a strong character. She is determined and focussed, and is so loving. She quietly gives up so much for those she loves, especially her dad and West. The full extent to this is the big reveal at the end of the story.
West is initially against Indy's presence at the ranch, but he pretty quickly comes to terms with it and agrees to help her make the improvements needed and get the staff on her side. I love how he stood up for Indy even when he was still mad at her, and how he was always there for her when it mattered.
I wish there had been a bit more from the Blaine storyline, and I also feel West's dad should have been in the story more.
Overall, this was a heartfelt story which made me cry and swoon in equal measure!
Review: 4.25 stars
Crossroads is a small-town romance set in Montana that follows West and Indya, two childhood friends who, due to the complications of adulthood, have been separated. When they reunite tensions are high, but their connection never dwindled and now not only are they forced to work together, but they must also face their past to be able to move forward.
There were so many things I loved about this book! For one, not only is it dual POV but it also switches between the past and present, allowing a much better insight into the protagonists and their relationship. Devney Perry was able to perfectly capture an unspoken connection. Usually, when I read a book like this where the characters don’t know much about each other it heavily focuses on chemistry (which don’t get me wrong I LOVE) but it was refreshing to read about two characters whose connection runs deep before they know each other on a surface level. In saying that.. the 🌶️ in this book was also so, so good, there was lots of tension between West and Indya 😂. ANDDDDD there was a lot of miscommunication, which I'm not usually a fan of but Perry just made it make sense. It added to the storyline making it more of a right person, wrong time sort of vibe.
Overall Crossroads is a sweet book, good if you need a palate cleanser, but the writing style wasn’t my favourite and I wasn’t hooked which is why I haven’t given it 5-stars. Despite this, I would recommend Crossroads and will definitely be reading some of Perrys' other works :)
I'll start by saying that overall I thought this was a cute book. For a second chance romance it didn't drag on the "why did they break up" or the "why they aren't together". It didn't feel like this big one thing that everyone knows except the reader.
The pacing was good, I wasn't bored. It was good, it was interesting and I liked the story. I'm just no obsessed with it. I just felt the whole time it was surface level, no depth.
I got an e-arc of this book on NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Thank you to NetGalley, Montlake, and Devney Perry for providing me with an advanced copy of Crossroads in exchange for an honest review.
Crossroads, the first book in Perry's new Haven River Ranch series, is a second-chance, small-town romance that follows Indya and West as they try to turn West's family ranch around and repair their fractured relationship.
This was really fun and cute! I had such a good time whilst reading, and never wanted to put it down. I loved Perry's The Edens series and Crossroads definitely lived up to the high expectations I had. I'm not usually a fan of second-chance romances but Indya and West's relationship felt so rich and complex that I couldn't help but root for them - the flashback scenes really helped with this feeling as well. Also, while I sort of knew where the ending was headed, the reveal did get me quite emotional. Everything about this book was so heartfelt and poignant.
I am so eager for the continuation of this series as this has been such a strong start. Crossroads releases June 4th and I strongly recommend checking it out!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Stars
Get ready to be swept away by Crossroads, a heartwarming small-town romance. This story is a beautiful blend of love, loss, and legacy set against the picturesque backdrop of Montana.
Our Indya first meets West Haven at the tender age of eight. Over the years, he becomes her summer companion, teaching her to play poker and make paper airplanes, and eventually stealing her heart with a kiss at sixteen. But at twenty-three, life cruelly tears them apart.
Years later, she returns to the ranch, not just as a visitor but as its new owner. West might be reluctant to see her again, but he can't deny that the only way to save his family’s legacy is with her help. As they work side by side, old memories resurface, and the challenge becomes not just about saving the ranch but navigating their unresolved feelings.
Why I loved It:
✔ Nostalgic Romance: The history between the characters adds depth and richness to their relationship.
✔ Second Chances: Who doesn’t love a good second chance romance where characters have to confront their past?
✔ Beautiful Setting: The Montana ranch setting is vividly described, adding to the charm of the story.
✔ Emotional Journey: The characters’ journey of love, loss, and finding their way back to each other is incredibly moving.
✔ Strong Heroine: The protagonist’s determination to save the ranch and face her past head-on is inspiring.
Crossroads had me hooked from the very first page. The story beautifully captures the essence of young love and the pain of separation, weaving it into a tale of second chances and redemption.
The chemistry between the protagonist and West is undeniable, filled with both tension and tenderness. Working together on the ranch forces them to confront old wounds and lingering feelings, making their journey incredibly engaging.
Devney Perry’s writing is evocative and heartfelt, painting a vivid picture of Montana’s beauty and the emotional landscape of her characters.
The blend of romance, nostalgia, and the fight to preserve a legacy makes this book a standout.
If you love small-town romances with rich backstories and emotional depth, Crossroads is a must-read!
Thank you to The Publisher Montlake ,The Author Devney Perry & NetGalley for an advanced reader copy (ARC) in exchange for my honest review.
I am a big fan of Devney Perry's books and I am thrilled to have read her latest book.
The story grabbed my attention right away, as soon as the main characters met. It was clear that they had a history together. The tension was palpable, and the understated nature of their interactions added to the suspense.
I appreciated that the novel included chapters from their past, which allowed us to see how their relationship began. They were friends as children and spent time together during the summer. It was fascinating to learn more about their story and understand why they were acting distant in the present day. I couldn't put the book down. Their attraction was undeniable, and all the memories and feelings from the past came back to life.
West, no matter what, always stood by Indy is side and supported her, even when she was struggling to run the ranch. Indy pursued her goals with determination, trying to bring new life to the ranch. Despite the initial resistance from the staff, they eventually saw the value in Indy is contribution and began to support her.
I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Although it was relatively short, the book was a wonderful read.
Be careful with this book; it will make you binge it until dawn without even realizing the true story.
I have loved Deveny Perry stories for a long time, and when I saw this book on NetGalley on READ NOW, I downloaded it immediately and moved all my TBR to start it ASAP, and I am so glad I did.
This is the kind of story that hooks you from the beginning because not only is it a Cowbow Romance, but we have Childhood Friends to Lovers and a Second Chance Romance to add to this boiling pot of tension and build-up.
I was deeply moved by West and Indya's journey and felt an immediate connection with them. Their story had me smiling with every turn of the page, and as I mentioned, I found myself staying up late just to reach the end.
Do Check your TW because we have a family member with cancer dealing with the disease and its ailments who eventually passes.
PS. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this is not just a Cowboy Romance, but also a Millionaire Romance where our MFC is the one with the wealth. A refreshing twist, indeed!
Thank you, Montlake and Devney Perry, for this amazing book; I need more, please.
Devney Perry is becoming a comfort Author for me! Having recently read, The Edens, Perry has done it again with a great first book for the 'Haven River Ranch' series. Readers are taken back to Montana with main characters Indy and West as they navigate working together at their ranch/resort.
This book was a quick read, but it still has all the details we needed. From present time enemies to lovers and flashbacks to a blossoming friendship between the pair. We navigate secrets, memories and tradition and I can't wait to get back to Haven River Ranch asap to read all about Jax's story in Sunlight.

“West and I were nothing but collisions on crossroads.”
After spending countless summer vacations at the Crazy Mountain Cattle Ranch growing up, Indya is now the new owner, which has come as a blindside to the Haven boys.
This is a typical small town, second chance, cowboy romance with all the right beats, but at no point did I care about the characters or feel any sort of spark.
Indya and West were both stubborn, which made for strained and sparse conversations, and a lot of stalemates.
Their intimacy by way of kissing and having sex came out of nowhere and the way those moments were placed in their surrounding scenes felt abrupt and didn’t make sense.
As the reader, we’re privy to more information than the characters, like the fact that Indya is newly divorced, but there’s a huge difference between West “thinking he knows her well enough” to assume she’s divorced, versus being explicitly told that she no longer has ties to her husband. Since that conversation wasn’t had, it was a turn off to me that he went ahead and fucked Indya bare.
The “plot twist” with the dad (if you can even call it that) was not surprising in the slightest.
Perry can craft a Montana setting exceptionally well, but other than that, nothing really stood out to me.
cw: parent with cancer
When you think of obsessed…what do you think of?
Better add me with this book to that definition.
I love how in charge Indya was and how she had a plan.
I also really loved that Devney Perry gave us a chance to watch her shape the resort/ranch into shape.
It was like watching Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmare x HGTV.
I already know I will sacrifice a kidney for the second book in this series.
Wow. Wow. Wow. I made the mistake of sitting down to read just a few chapters of this before bed and ended up binge reading the entire thing. 1AM rolled around and I was in a glass case of emotions. West was so darn swoony and I loved the relationship between him and Indya. Devney Perry proves once again that she is the queen of small town romance.
Indya starting going to West’s family ranch resort when she was eight and the two forged a friendship that lasted decades and long separations, until things changed.
Life went on when they weren’t together and this set them apart. Her life was spent trying to be brave for her mum and sick dad. His life was spent trying to keep the family ranch going.
Unfortunately neither of them had control of the things that mattered most to them and did not reconnect until it was almost too late.
Stories that jump back and forth aren’t my favourite, but it was completely necessary for this story to make sense.
They both got in their own way at times. West didn’t stand up to his father enough and Indya lived for her father’s happiness, not her own.
I loved seeing Indya bring the ranch back to life and give West back his passion for her and the ranch. West showed Indya the appreciation she had never really felt before and they made a really good team.
I thought the additional characters definitely added to the story, even the frustrating ones.
I really enjoyed the family feel to the Ranch and am looking forward to learning more about some of the other characters.
I knew I was going to love this from the minute I read the blurb! This is an example of when I got to the end of the book and just wished there was more. ‘Crossroads’ is a small town, second chance, romance that is for sure going to melt your heart. Our two main characters, West and Indya, have been in love with each other for a long time but it never seemed to be the right time. Years later, fate brings them back together but it’s not happy ever after just yet. Having ended on bad terms they reunite under circumstances that cause even more tension (hello, the angst?!). At that point, I could see that it was going to be enemies to lovers which is one of my favourite tropes! I do use the term ‘enemies’ quite lightly as you could feel the tension between them because of their unresolved feelings. Told in alternating timelines of past and present, this love story unfolds in such a beautiful way which really showcases Devney Perry's writing. It was such a great first instalment of what looks to be an unputdownable series!

Spice Level: 🌶️🌶️🌶️
I was so excited to read this! This is the first book in Devney Perry’s new Haven River Ranch series. It is a dual POV switching between characters Indya and West.
Eight year old Indya first meets West as a child when her and her family stay at his ranch/resort in Montana. At 9, they were playing poker together, and at 11 they were making paper airplanes. By 16, things were getting much more complicated and they were kissing. As Indya grew up, she continued to visit the ranch with her parents even when she didn’t want to. She would do anything to please her father who was sick with cancer. Eventually on one of her last visits, she discovers West is engaged to someone else, and then she moves on and marries another man.
Years later, Indya reappears at the ranch as its new owner. West and his family are less than thrilled. Eventually West and Indya fall into each other’s arms again, and West discovers the true reason Indya bought the ranch… HIM!
Devney Perry has done it again mixing the perfect amount of emotions with romance and spice. If you love an enemies to lovers or second chance romance then this is the book for you!
Thank you NetGalley, Montlake, and Devney Perry for this ARC! I never would have dreamed I would get my hands on an advanced copy of one of Devney Perry’s books!

Wow Wow Wow! Devney sure knows how to hook a girl to her stories. She is a magician and weaves the story in a way that it makes it impossible to put down. Crossroads is fabulous and an amazing start to a series. I'm already low key obsessed with Haven River Ranch world.
Indya and West have been in love since they didn't even know what love was. Thier hearts belonged to each other since she was eight and he was ten when she first visited his family ranch and resort in summer. Thier love story couldn't finish and they walked away from each other in thier twenties. Now few years later Indya is back. She is the only one who can save his family ranch and resort but he is too stubborn to admit that. And to move further they have to work out their old differences.
This is definitely a must read! I'm usually not a fan of second chance but this book made me fall in love with the trope.
Absolutely blown away, if I could give more than 5 stars I would. This is second chance perfection. The then and now timeline was beautifully done and had me sobbing by the end. Indya and West are soulmates who just hadn’t been able to get the timing right for years. This was a beautifully tragic, heartbreaking, inspiring, tender story of love, friendship, and second chances. I cannot say enough good things about this book!
