What a fantastic start to this new series!
I thoroughly enjoying my time at Haven River Ranch with West and Indya.

Indya visits this resort in Montana with her parents every year or two from being 8 years old, and spends her week there with West whose family own the resort and ranch. As they get older, their friendship develops into more, but only ever for that week before they go their separate ways. They’re very much right person, wrong time- for years.

So West is very surprised to see Indya and learn that she has just bought the ranch. Emotions run high and there is a lot of tension as he comes to accept she is now his boss and calls the shots. The resort is struggling and she intends to turn it round and make it profitable, wanting to see it flourish.

Some of the storyline was a bit predictable but it didn’t take away from the story in any way for me, I just loved it and the feelings between Indya and West felt so strong and genuine throughout. The way they’d missed each other for so long and has so many missed chances meant you couldn’t help but want them to get their HEA. Indya’s relationship with her Dad was beautiful and really tugged at my heartstrings.

I loved that the epilogue jumped ahead a few years and am guessing book 2 might start around that time too. I can’t wait to be back at Haven River Ranch later this year!

Huge thanks to the author and Netgalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Indya Keller swore she would never go back to Crazy Mountain Cattle. It had been years since she’d spent a family vacation on the ranch in Montana since she’d seen West Haven, the boy she met when she was eight, who she played poker with when she was nine, who made paper aeroplanes with when she was eleven. The boy she’d kissed at sixteen, loved at eighteen, the boy who stole her heart and she hadn’t seen since she was twenty-three. Yet here she was, breaking the vow she made to herself, except now she wasn’t a guest, she was the ranch's new owner.

Crossroads is told through a dual timeline, the current, with Indya as the new owner of the ranch, and with chapters from the past, each time she’d visited on a summer vacation with her family. We got to see her and West meet each other, become friends, spend time with each other, and love each other for only a week out each year, and now they’re working together to renovate the ranch with more time together than they’d ever had before.

I’m definitely still in my Cowboy era and Crossroads was a great addition to the other cowboy romances I’ve read. There’s was pining, tension, chemistry, sweet moments and of course gorgeous scenery, however, there was also heartbreak and grief interwoven in these pages but that didn’t make this any less of a lovely, swoony and heartfelt read.

Devney Perry is the queen of small town romances and this book specifically felt like it was written for me since it contained my favorite tropes; second chance romance, childhood friends to lovers, alternating timelines, dual POV … this book was like crack to me.

When you pick up a DP book you know you are going to get an amazing story with lovable characters and great spice and Crossroads delivered on all those things.

Indya and West share such a deep connection but their timing is always off. They are also dealing with some trauma from their childhood and trauma from past relationships but the one thing they never away from are their deep feeling for one another - even when they’re outwardly acting like they aren’t affected their inner thoughts are ones of pining.

If you are a fan of Perry’s earlier work you will devour Crossroads!

I'm obsessed with Devney Perry!!

This story of Indya and West a second chance romance.

Had all my favourite tropes second chances, grumpy sunshine need I say more.

This was such a beautiful story, I love that it was told between past and present where we get to see the love and bond that grew over the years between West and Indya.

Thank you NetGalley and Montlake for the opportunity to read this prior to publishing date.

Thought I'd give Devney Perry another chance since I didn't particularly enjoy Indigo Ridge - but this book pleasantly surprised me. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would considering the plot seemed somewhat bland. It ended up being a cute and cozy romance that was super easy to read and only took me a few hours to get through.

The writing was rich and atmospheric in the sense that I now totally get the appeal of Montana and the ranching lifestyle, even though I'd never stepped foot in a setting even remotely close to it before in my life lol. The flashbacks and dual POV was well written and added much needed depth to the story where I really got to see how the main leads came to love one another. Many romance books nowadays lack this buildup of tension and genuine feelings which showcases the connection between the love interests.

I found that I actually enjoyed the past versions of the main leads more so than the present timeline version of themselves. There were also heart wrenching moments surrounding the theme of grief incorporated in this story which was thoughtfully addressed.

The ending was sort of abrupt but the epilogue was cute and set up for the next book in the series.

Would read again - I already have a special edition of this ordered! This book also made me reconsider trying out other Devney Perry books.

Overall rating: 4/5

This was a beautiful, emotional and endearing story from start to finish that ensnared me with its sweetness, Montana scenery and characters that I adored. It tells the story of how the characters met as children, and every year after that as well as the current timeline. I don't want to say too much, but there is a little innocent fun, some tension as they grow older and the once a week visits almost every year starts to change, a few missed opportunities and one final chance to make it all worth while.
I loved this story and finished it as quickly as I could! I can't wait for more from Haven River Ranch!

This is hands down my favourite book by Devney Perry so far. It's full of heart wrenching moments, longing and there is a huge sense of the right person wrong time trope.

Indiya and West are so well written, funny, brazen, and a delight to read about. I devoured this book within a few hours last night and I was left feeling so much love for Crossroads.

I will write a fuller review closer to the release date, but just know if you are holding out for this book.. in true Devney style - it is very much worth the wait. Hot cowboys, summer nights, rebuilding a family business and admitting what you want. This book feels like coming home.

Crossroads is book one in the Haven River Ranch series with Indya Keller and West Haven. It's a small town, childhood friends to lovers to enemies, steamy, second chance romance.

As a child, Indya visited the ranch in Montana every summer with her parents. Now, she is back--not as a guest, but as the owner. West and his brother were not aware that their father was selling the ranch, so West's reunion with Indya did not start out too well.

This is told in both Indya and West's POVs with dual timelines that show how West and Indya came to meet and their time together when she was at the ranch with her parents. I thought the backstory for them was sweet. There is more than their romance, though. The story also deals with loss and grief and is very emotional for Indya.

I listened as well as read this book and loved the ALC. Samantha Brentmoor and Connor Crais are just perfect in their narration. They definitely added to my enjoyment.

Thank you to Brilliance Publishing, Montlake, NetGalley and the author for an advance listener and advance readers copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Oh my god this book was everything!! I have never wanted my life to be like a book as much as I wanted it to be this! The emotions, the love, the storyline…perfect. Honestly if I could rate this more than 5 stars I would. The ending was amazing and it gave me the best closure. I will be thinking about this book for a very long time. As soon as it’s released I’m buying a physical copy for my bookshelf, that’s how much I loved it!

I absolutely adored this book!

Small town, second chance romance, with big hit of emotions.

With every book that Devney writes, it’s like her mission to make all of her readers fall in love with Montana. And she does it flawlessly.

With Dual POV between Indya and West, we’re drawn into their story with flashbacks from when they first met, first as friends and then something more. Indy and West have amazing chemistry, and some of their banter just had me smiling so hard. They couldn’t take their eyes or hands off each other.

This story was so well written, with the pieces falling into place between these two. Definitely have the tissues handy, Devney brings lots of emotions with this book.

I’m eagerly waiting for the next book in this series!

Devney Perry has created a unique romance that unfolds in both the past and present. The story and writing style of this novel are truly beautiful.

"Crossroads" is about West and Indya and takes place on a ranch in Montana. West and Indya haven't seen each other in many years, and there's a lot of tension when they meet again. What I loved most about this story was seeing their past and present come together. We don't know what exactly happened when they were kids, but we find out as we see their reunion in the present. The tension and unresolved feelings between them are clear from the moment they meet again, and you can tell they won't be able to stay apart.

There are some surprising twists in this book that I enjoyed because they were unexpected. There is a sense of suspense and mystery throughout the story, especially around Haven River Ranch, which not only adds to the plot but also strengthens Indya's feelings for West.

This was a truly beautiful story; I laughed, I cried, and I swooned. I can't wait to return to Haven River Ranch in the second book.

Thank you NetGalley for the E-arc in exchange for an honest review.

This was just a cute, quick read! I read it so quickly, i couldn’t put it down. I loved Indya and West as characters, the dual timeline really worked in this book normally I’m not a fan of when the author uses the past in books but it was done really well here. I’ll never say no to a cowboy romance!

If there’s one thing I’ll always do is read Devney Perry books. The woman rarely misses.

I’d been dying to read Crossroads and it was a joy. I love second chance romances, I love childhood lovers and love forced proximity. Crossroads is steamy, fun and romantic. Another amazing book by Devney!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ♾️

✔️ small town romance
✔️ cowboy
✔️ second chance romance
✔️ tension 🔥

Haven River Ranch is home, a place of hope, love and comfort. While Indya left, it was impossible for her to stay away in the end, the ranch and all it stands for calling to her despite the distance.

Even with the tension between West and Indya, West is still protective, still cares, as much as he wills himself not to. A sliver of hope exists between them.

With Crossroads, Devney has captured the beauty of small town ranching life, interweaving West and Indya’s love story so beautifully and so deeply with the ranch and lifestyle. I think I found part of myself within the pages of Crossroads, a sense of family and belonging.

Crossroads is a small-town cowboy romance that captivates you. Devney’s prose forces you to appreciate the pastoral and ranching life, creating this connection to make you feel a part of a landscape you’ve never visited before, but so desperate to. The longing I felt for Montana was so intense. Devney has an undeniable and unconditional love for Montana, and her adoration for her the landscape shines through in this story through West and Indya’s love of this ranch.

Intertwined between dual timelines, Devney crafts a beautiful narrative exploring, life, love and loss, somehow managing to pull on your heartstrings, break you, and then weave you back together with the threads of love from within Haven River Ranch. West and Indya are tethered, regardless of time, there’s always something connecting them, bringing them closer until they collide again.

Set across the years, glimpses of West and Indya growing up together, one snapshot at a time, fills your heart. The anticipation builds as we learn more, and West and Indya learn each other in stolen moments.

Devney Perry makes you feel at home in Crossroads, so loved and appreciated among those who love you, even just of bits and pieces.

Crossroads is an incredibly deep and moving small-town romance about the power of second chances, of hope. Indya and West are clearly meant for each other, tethered across time, finally coming together when it matters most. They will stay with me. Crossroads was everything I needed and more, Devney’s way with words and ability to make you fall in love with her characters and a breathtaking place you’ve never seen, making you yearn to be part of her world, the families she creates.

Safe to say, Devney has made me want to move to a small-town ranch, appreciate the stunning landscape and way of life and marry a rancher 🤠

It’s undeniable that this series by Devney will take the cowboy romance lovers by storm and set the standard with this incredibly deep story that makes you feel so many emotions and will leave its mark on you.

Devney Perry has intricately woven a one-in-a-lifetime kind of romance that unfolds across the past and the present. Both the story itself, and the writing style of this novel were absolutely beautiful.

Crossroads tells the story of West and Indya and is set on a ranch in Montana. West and Indya have not seen each other in a number of years and there is extreme tension between them when they reunite. What I loved about this story was getting to see their story play out across past and present perspectives. We don't know exactly what happened when they were kids, we get to see that story play out alongside their reunion story in the present perspective. There was so much tension and unresolved feelings between the two of them, from the moment they reunited you could tell they would not be able to stay away from one another.

There are some twists in this book that I really liked because they were not predictable. There was a feeling of suspense/mystery throughout the entire story surrounding the Haven River Ranch and I feel like this not only added to the story but also really solidified the feelings Indya has for West.

This was an absolutely beautiful story; I laughed, I cried, and I swooned. I cannot wait to return to the Haven River Ranch in book 2.
