“Collisions on crossroads. West and I were nothing but collisions on crossroads”
This book EXCEEDED my expectations, this is what I need in my small town cowboy romance 💗
Indya grew up holidaying at a Monatana ranch with her family since she was 8 years old, this is where she first met 10 year old West Haven - who continued to captivate her every year until she comes back in her early twenties and he’s engaged.
She doesn’t think she’ll see West again, doesn’t think she has the heart to return to the ranch - until the universe decides otherwise.
The way that the alternating chapters features both dual POV and past and present chapters was perfect, it allowed for such deep character development and connection.
I love West and Indy, I love their history and their bubble they grow up in. The relationship didn’t feel rushed, or cheesy it was everything 🫶
I felt so many emotions during this read - it was heartbreaking, sweet, romantic and full of joy, I really couldn’t put it down!
“Time vanished. The years between us melted away. The mistakes, the regrets, turned to ash. A century wouldn’t dull this fire.”
i loved this book with my whole entire heart. devney can do no wrong when it comes to writing for me & it’s like each books is even better than the last!! i’m obsessed
I really enjoyed this introduction to the Haven River Ranch series, so much that i could not put it down. I especially liked the amount of emotion in their story and the complexity of thier relationship through childhood to present.
I cannot wait to continue the series!
💜childhood friends
💜cowboy romance
💜enemies x lovers
Indya and West Havens' story is everything I wanted and more! Devney Perry once again proves why she is my ultimate favorite author with this incredible addition of Haven River Ranch.
Devney painted a beautiful picture of the setting and the characters and the depth she gives each character makes them feel real and relatable.
The chemistry between Indya and West added a layer of intensity to the story that kept me binging the whole book.
The emotional depth, is what truly shined. Their relationship & growth was so satisfying.
Indya's strength and resilience, paired with West's rugged charm and vulnerability, create a dynamic duo that you can't help but root for.
I loved every second of Crossroads & CANNOT wait for “Sun Light."
Crossroads is the first book in Devney Perry’s new Haven Ranch series. It’s a childhood best friends to lovers, small town, cowboy romance, and it’s also a story about grief and how to move forward after experiencing a devastating loss.
Indya (Indy) and her family used to vacation in Montana every year when she was growing up. It was during these vacations that she met and became best friends with West, whose family owned the ranch where they stayed. Hanging out with West was Indy’s favorite part about those vacations, until tragedy strikes and forces them apart for years.
When we meet Indy, she is returning to Montana several years later, not to vacation, but as the new owner of West’s ranch (unbeknownst to him). What should be a reunion between best friends is made awkward by this new dynamic.
I was hooked on this story from that first awkward encounter between Indy and West, and I loved that Devney Perry presents their story to us in a dual POV and that we also get so many flashbacks back to when Indy and West were kids. I loved the contrast between their relationship as they were both growing up and what it is in present day, especially since it’s clear that all of the old feelings and plenty of new ones are still alive and well. There’s also just the perfect amount of spice as Indy and West navigate their way through all of the angst and find their way back to each other.
Between the gorgeous Montana setting and the wonderfully heartfelt story of second chances, I fell in love with Crossroads and cannot wait to read the next installment in the series.

West and Indya met on a ranch in Montana when they were young, they formed a friendship that over the years turned into something more but it just never seemed to work out for them. Fast forward a few years when Indya is back on the ranch as the new owner and West is furious, not only is the woman he loves now the owner of his ranch, once his dream he now has to face her every day.
Told in dual pov's and past + present we get an insight into what really happened between them and I loved how we get a right place but wrong time.
West and Indya get a second chance at love and I love how fiercely they love each other after all this time. -- 𝘐 𝘸𝘪𝘴𝘩𝘦𝘥 𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘬𝘦𝘱𝘵 𝘩𝘦𝘳. 𝘐 𝘸𝘪𝘴𝘩𝘦𝘥 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘦𝘥 𝘺𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘴 𝘢𝘨𝘰. 𝘐 𝘸𝘪𝘴𝘩𝘦𝘥 𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘸𝘢𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘥. 𝘐 𝘸𝘪𝘴𝘩𝘦𝘥 𝘴𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘸𝘢𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰𝘰.
West and Indya give off the perfect amount of enemies to lovers, their sexual tension is felt and I was honestly flipping those pages waiting for those sparks to ignite!

I honestly felt for Indya and to see how much she was struggling broke my heart. I was so curious about what was going on but when it was revealed - tears!
𝗜 𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗶𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂. 𝗜 𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂.
I love that they got a second chance at love and that through everything they have come out stronger in the end and that they continue to support one another!
Crossroads is the first instalment in a new series by Devney Perry. I have had her previous series on my TBR for a while but yet to get around to them so was excited to try her new series. Crossroads is a sweet, easy romance that was exactly the kind of book I was looking for when I picked it up. It follows West and Indya as they navigate their second chance romance when Indya returns to West's small town and takes over West's family ranch. This is a really good small town romance that has just the right amount of angst and spice. Recommend to anyone looking for a new small town romance series.
Haven River Ranch is my new dream destination! This book was so amazing!
A second chance romance with friends to lovers to enemies and back to lovers is my favorite trope!
West and Indya's story is so relatable and had me reminiscing about my own childhood crush. Deveny's writing is detailed and captivating! I loved all the flashbacks and felt they added depth to the narrative!
Devney..PLEASE 🙏🏼keep these amazing small town romances coming!
Really enjoyed this one! It was great to be in a new Devney series and I’m excited to see the Haven River world grow. This was an angsty childhood friends to lovers, right person wrong time whirlwind.
You get the broody cowboy, the strong FMC, and a whole crew of supporting characters. It’s a ranch setting and it really made me want to take a trip to Montana.
My one wish is that I wish the MCs communicated more about what went wrong. We see in the flashbacks but I felt a conversation was missing. Overall, it was a quick and bingeable book that takes you through all the emotions. I felt for both the MCs and I’m happy they finally got their HEA.
Oh and the spice was spicinnn
Love love love. I could read books by Devney all day everyday. They give me all the feels and every one is better than the last. I don’t know how she does it.
Give me all Devney every day all day. I love her words. Everything she writes is pure gold and becomes my next favorite book.
Crossroads was my first ever cowboy romance (and my first ever Devney Perry) and I can tell you right now, I will be back for more!
The dual POV/dual timeline really made the whole book for me. The angst was angsting! I also love how real the characters were. They kept winding up together, even when they knew maybe they shouldn’t. And when the spice starts spicing before the halfway point? Yes please.
I also really love how there are some great side characters that we can definitely see getting their own stories soon!
This book is the perfect summer romance read! And under 300 pages! The perfect beach read.
If you love dual timeline, dual pov, small town, cowboy, summertime romance pick this one up immediately!
I really enjoyed this book! I have read a lot of books from this author, and I always enjoy myself so much - this was no exception. The smalltown vibe in this was perfect, and I really liked the two main characters. I also really enjoyed the flashbacks to earlier ages, which was written in a way that the story wasn't explained in fully until the end and I think it was very well executed. I'm very excited for more books in this series.
This was a great book! I loved reading how Indya buys West’s family ranch and is now the owner of it. It was fun reading how West and Indya don’t see eye to eye and how Indya is now West’s boss. The whole renovation for the ranch was really interesting. I now want to go stay in a country range for a summer! Loved the chemistry between Indya and West! I liked the history between them and how they had to work to get to the place that they were in. The only thing I didn’t love about this book was the second chance trope. It is one of my least favorite tropes and the way that it’s done in this book is something I’m not a fan of. I don’t like romance books that have flashbacks with the couples history. It makes for a lot of heartache and feelings. I definitely had all the emotions, especially towards the end! The ending was the best part of this book! The HEA was done really well! I will definitely be reading the next book in the series as I want to know what happens between Jax and the manager of the ranch!

This book has soared to the top of my favorites from this author! Devney Perry will forever be one of my unicorn authors, and Crossroads just confirms why I love her writing and stories so much.
The way in which West & Indya's story is written is absolutely brilliant. This second-chance romance will not only have you falling for this couple in present day, but throughout small snippets of their past sprinkled within the chapters as well. Their character development as a couple and as individuals detailed in both past chapters and present is incredible. The storytelling is phenomenal. The setting. The secondary characters. The emotion. The passion. IS. ALL. FIVE STARS!!!!!
I devoured this book, and it is exactly why I love epic love stories so much. West & Indya will forever be ingrained in my heart, and I know they'll be on my mind for a long time to come. I can't wait for what's to come next in this series. Well done once again D. Perry! BRAVO!!!!
This book made me a lot more emotional than I was expecting.
THE FLASHBACK CHAPTERS, OMG. I just loved having Indya's perspective for these flackbacks because she was dealing with SO much at such a young age that you just wanted to hug her honestly. Those moments with her dad were needed in this story and it had me in tears. I loved how close she is with her mom and dad both and I loved that they were able to have those peaceful moments to be with one another in Montana.
I loved Indya and West and loved seeing their relationship (although it wasn't a traditional relationship, the feelings were always there) throughout the years. I loved seeing her and West pick back up no matter the time they spent apart when Indya and her family would visit. Their second chance together came with a lot of baggage- Indya buying West's family's ranch, each of them having past serious relationships, dealing with grief- but I absolutely loved seeing them open up and try again because you just KNOW they are meant to be together!
Overall, I really enjoyed this one and I cannot wait to see what's to come in Sunlight!
there's just something about devney and second chance romances that are just perfect. i don't normally love dual timelines but she did this so effortlessly -- it wasn't every other chapter, it was just little bits of flashbacks to see how west and indya's relationship has developed over the years. this is when i love childhood friends to lovers, this wasn't 'oh someone else noticed you and now i realize that i love you,' this was right person, wrong time, long distance and this feeling of how can i ask this person to uproot their entire life.
even though it took some years for them to come back together, both of them knew they were meant for each other. they were each others, even when they weren't together. the tension and longing for each other was just so perfect.
i'm so excited to read more from this series!
“No matter how many years passed between us, there was no forgetting. I’d loved West Haven for what felt like my entire life.”
Devney Perry is one of my favorite romance authors so it was no surprise to me that I absolutely loved this one. Not only did I love West and Indya, but I LOVED the setting of this one. Devney was so detailed in her description of Montana and Haven River Ranch that I truly felt like I was there the entire time I was reading.
This book gives you such a cozy feelings while also being heartbreaking at the same time. I guessed the plot twist involving Indyas phone calls pretty early on but I still was so sad when we found out what was happening with that towards the end.
I love that we got to go back and forth in time to see how West and Indya became friends, to how their lives were in adulthood. This was truly such a sweet, comforting, heartwarming read and I can’t wait for Jax’s book!
Quick overview:
- childhood friends
- small town
- cowboy romance
- forced proximity
- second chance
- enemies to lovers

Another amazing release by Devney Perry!! It seriously gave me all the feels!! My heart!!! I was hurting, sad, swooned, laughed, frustrated. The heartache and the grief got me sooo good. I legit ugly cried. 😅
The chemistry and tension between Indya and West was beautifully built. I was rooting for them from the first page, but man, I totally felt West's pain when Indya bought the ranch. Indya's family vacationed in Montana every summer because that's where her father loves it best, and he was battling with cancer. That's where she met West every summer. That friendship turned into something more, but they never acted upon it. When Indya finally made up her mind, it was already too late. Years later, they met again and there was pain, heartache, and anger. But the love they felt for each other have always been there.
It sort of gave me Wild Highway and Garnet Flat vibes a bit if you read other books by Devney.
Check out the Tropes:
Cowboy
Second chance
Enemies to lovers
Right person, wrong time
Small town
Childhood friends
Forced proximity
4.5 rounded up to 5!
Devney Perry does it again. I swear this book is a written ad for Montana and the beauty of coming back again and again.
This is the first standalone in a new series and the set up of the community and characters was perfect.
The way Devney wrote Indya and West made me feel so connected to the characters despite how different they are from each other (and me). Throughout the story, with the different character POVs and the flashbacks to each summer....it just gave so much more context and provided hooks to keep my completely engaged.
I was in tears by the end of the story and was smiling through them during the epilogue.
Definitely recommend both Crossroads and Devney Perry.
