I loved everything about this book! I went into it thinking it would be a fun, small town cowboy romance, and little did I know it would be packed with angst, emotional depth, and that tears would be shed! Even though Indya and West had only seen each other for a week every year (sometimes not even every year), you could still tell how deeply they cared about each other and how real their relationship was. I absolutely loved how down bad West was for Indya, these characters just felt so real to me! Devney Perry slayed once again, 4.5 stars!

why is this the single most conflicting book known to mankind??? there were some parts i really liked, like the setting and characters but at other points i didn’t like how the relationship developed (at least in present time).
she was a cute past and present pov childhood friends to lovers but *something* that i just can’t put my finger on was missing. i’m really thinking it was them in the present trying to find their way back to each other because there were hookups galore before there was conversation, not my cup of tea. and also the fact that there was NEVER foreplay???? i’m not over that 😐

I am an emotional mess. From the start opening sentence the emotion coming through the writing I felt it was going to be heavy. The tension between Indya and West was intense throughout the whole book. I am still wiping away tears just thinking about the book.

I swear, every Devney Perry book I read just gets better and better! Crossroads is full of heart, longing, and off the charts chemistry. I loved everything about this book!

I really enjoyed this small-town/cowboy romance. The story flowed very naturally and the book was fast paced. But I also felt very connected to the main and the side characters. The flashbacks in their timeline and the way it connected to current day was really enjoyable. There was also grief representation and death of a family member. I do think that was handled well plus had me emotional a few times. It was also a great start to a new series and definitely has me wanting more.

I’ve never met a Devney Perry book I didn’t like, and Crossroads quickly became one of my favorites. I binged this in a night because I couldn’t put it down. This one brought all the feels and all the tears. Literally. There was some ugly crying happening when it hit harder than I expected it to. West & Indya have a secret past that no one knows about, and I adored seeing their relationship over time. I desperately wanted them to have so much more time and just be together, but their lives only aligned for those summer trips until Indya came back as the new owner of the ranch. These two both have so much love and so much hurt between them, and their story was heartbreakingly beautiful. West is the definition of a broody cowboy and Indya is determined and has the weight of the world on her. Even years later, these two still have an unspoken language between them, and I enjoyed every second of watching them finally get their chance at love. Heartbreaking. Healing. Raw. Captivating. This one has utterly consumed me. West & Indya are everything.

Crossroads is a second chance, small town romance. Sadly I struggled a lot and it was because of numerous things. First off the romance between Indiya and West was cute. Also both their relationships with their families were great but sadly not much happened in Crossroads. Indiya has bought the West’s ranch and with it comes a lot of practical and administrative work which wasn’t interesting. I felt there was a lot of inner thoughts and dialogue so I didn’t get the connection to the story or characters that I had hoped for.
The reveal towards the end wasn’t a surprise. Overall the story was very predictable. I’m disappointed cause I had hoped for more.

Thank you to NetGalley and Devney Perry for the early copy for review.
Indya met West when she was eight years old, and he was the best part of her summer vacations until she was 23. Years later, she’s back at the same ranch, but instead, as the new owner. West might want her gone but he can’t deny she has the skill to return the ranch to it’s former glory.
This might be a new Devney series but I already love this new little town and all the characters in it. I don’t even normally like a second chance romance but at this point if Devney writes it then I’ll probably love it. The story is written with small flashbacks to their summers together where we see them experience so much in the short week that Indya visits each time. It made me root for the two MCs and love getting their backstory. I love the time jump at the end and the sneak peak of the next book, can't wait for more of this series!

"West and I were nothing but collisions on crossroads. Sooner or later, our paths would drift apart again. We never seemed to be going in the same direction, and this time was no different."
I guess I'm in my cowboy romance era! And it is safe to say that Crossroads is the best Devney Perry work to date, from what I have read.
I am a fan of the second chance trope, which was used here, also the story is told in two timelines, then and now, and it worked perfectly for me, and I loved dual POV, but most of all I loved the setting of a ranch in Montana as a summer holiday spot for Indya, the main character, it gave me some serious Dirty Dancing vibes. And though sometimes Indya's and West's (MMC) actions and miscommunication frustrated me to no end, I was very invested in their story and couldn't put it down.
Sincere thanks to NetGalley and Montlake for this eARC.

I absolutely love a good second chance romance. Devney certainly knows how to write a good small town romance. Loved the switch between past and present pov.
There was alot of mystery around as to why Indya bought the ranch and when we do find out 🫠 I loved why she bought it. Was so nice seeing their friendship grow over the younger years and my heart hurt for Indya and all her emotions she was bottling up. Definitely recommend this one, was a good read

4.5 stars 🌟
This was a nice story from Ms Perry and an intriguing introduction to the new Haven River Ranch series.
I love the romanticism of a ranch type holiday destination. The whole cowboy experience for city dwellers. The escape to the country. The handsome cowboys for the girls to flirt with and the ‘manly’ activities for the wannabe cowboys!
I especially liked the premise of Indy visiting most summers through their childhood and striking up a friendship with West, but what I wanted more of was their connection. I wanted to feel more of that pull between them as teens. How did she know so much of his character? I wanted to experience more of those firsts with them…and not just the intimacy, the teenage angst, the butterflies and the basis to all their feelings later in the story.
That being said I really loved adult Indya and West. She’s an absolute machine, a force to be reckoned with and he was so very quietly supportive of her.
Now I’m looking forward to getting back to the ranch and meeting fun-loving Jax!

My only complaint is that there wasn’t more of it 😭 what an adorable cowboy esque romance. Such an easy read. Loved that it didn’t have a third act break up, loved the second chance romance, LIVED for it not really being a slow burn but also kind of a slow burn? The spice wasn’t over the top, just loved it. Loving the set up for a possible Jax story next 👀 Will be ordering a physical copy for my shelf asap!

I just think devney perry isn’t for me! I’ve read her others and they’re all very similar. But I do think she has an audience, it’s just not me.
Honestly the plot sounded great but it all just felt very surface level and bland. I didn’t care one bit about the characters. the first 30% I was interested then everything got reaaal boring because the plot went absolutely nowhere. NOTHING happened.
I ended up skimming the last 20%. If you went light and meaningless romance with a little spice, why not! But for me I prefer my books to have more substance.
Thanks to devney perry and netgalley for the arc.

Crossroads by Devney Perry is my first experience reading her work and I can’t believe it took me this long to do so. This is Book #1 in her new Haven River Ranch series and I think it can be read as a standalone, but I have a feeling the entire series will be much more enjoyable if read in order and I will most definitely be doing that! I loved this story so much – childhood friends in small town Montana who get a well-deserved second chance at their love story. They may not have actually had a “love story” as children, but their love for each other was there all the time. The writing is excellent--most especially the way the flashbacks are handled. Even now I can close my eyes and see Haven River Ranch with the clarity in which it was described by Ms. Perry. West and Indya’s characters are so likeable, as were all the supporting characters. This couple’s story was charming at times and heartbreaking at times which made me sad when I finished reading it. I laughed, I cried and I swooned while reading Crossroads –it’s about forgiveness, doing the right thing even when it’s difficult to do so, adapting to change, soul mates and so much more. I almost read the entire book in one sitting. If I didn’t have to go to work the next day, I would have! I will most definitely be looking forward to Jax’s book – I have a feeling it will wreck me. This was a 5+ star read for me all the way and I would most definitely recommend it. I’m grateful to have been given the opportunity to read an advance copy of this book through NetGalley.

Wowww, this might just be my new fav Devney book!
I loved all the emotion in this story, and I’ll always be a sucker for second chance. I think all great second chance romance needs a good dose of angst, and it was the perfect amount in this one. The past and present timelines were woven together so flawlessly, and kept me so invested in the story. I loved both West and Indy, and their story is so so beautiful. I loved the moments they had as teenagers and how it built the foundation of their relationship. 10/10, highly recommend this one!
Thank you netgalley for an early copy of this one!

Well, Devney has done it again. She wrote another banger and I am just obsessed. I laughed, I cried, I LOVED IT.
I devoured this book so fast. It was full of giggles and emotion and I just LOVED it so much. This childhood friends/second chance romance was just done SO right. The evolving timeline of the flashbacks was so good!!
Indya and West were written so well—both not perfect, both with baggage and then of course, there was the tension. SO much tension and it was just perfect.
Tropes:
Dual timeline
Second chance
Childhood friends
Enemies to lovers
Small town
Cowboy/rancher

I picked up this book this morning and couldn't put it down until I finished it! It was an excellent read! Second chance cowboy romance at its best! Indya and West make me want to move to Montana. Actually, almost everything Devney Perry writes makes me want to move there! The writing is superb, with unanswered questions that keep you hooked until the very end!

Have I found my new favorite Devney book? MAYBE!
Crossroads was everything I didn't know I needed, and the second-chance romance had me absolutely hooked. It takes a special story to keep me invested when there are then & now chapters AND a second chance storyline... and this was that story.
I loved West & Indya together. I was here for their bickering, for their romance, and for them in general. West was truly everything Indya needed, and the story proved that over and over again.
Such a great story-HIGHLY recommend!

There are not many people I can read a cowboy, rural country romance by. Most authors come up with the most far fetched and unrealistic city folk story lines and it is so unpalatable. I’m here for fantasy, but don’t tell me a junior marketing nepo baby who happens to be a gym junkie will come up with a gym routine for a seasoned bull rider. And that he doesn’t already have one. And he’ll do it. Ridiculous.
Lyla Sage is one author who I’ve loved, Devney Perry is another. Whilst West fits into the surly, grumpy but loveable Griffin’s mould, he stands in his own right. Indy’s powerful personality doesn’t come off as forced, and whilst it seems bossy or domineering, taking a step back she’s a strong girl boss. It was nice to see a couple with history, and get to see the history unfold. Whilst it was a fast paced book, it didn’t feel rushed, and the storyline progressed naturally. I devoured it.
I can’t wait to read the next. Don’t tempt me with a taster of two people who have to work together who hate each other. I’ll be waiting.

Booking a trip to Montana asap! Devney Perry has done it again with an excellent start to her new series. This second chance romance delivers angst, emotion, and spice in droves. The dual timelines are *chef’s kiss* giving the reader the chance to get to the see the couple fall in love in the past and present simultaneously. As for the couple, I loved Indya and West. They both have been through things and despite spendings but have found their way back to each other. They understand and see each other in a way no one else has. The mutual pining in this book is off the charts just like their chemistry. I honestly could not put this book down because I couldn’t wait to see what would happen next. Also loved that there was no third act breakup in this one, our babies had been through enough. I am excited to see where this series will go next. Fans of The Edens series will enjoy this first installment in the Haven River Ranch series.
