Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for the arc of this book. I was looking forward to reading Ali Rosen's second book after enjoying the first one so much. I read this book all in one sitting. This book is from the prospective of the female main character, Beatrice. Beatrice is a soon to be divorced Mom, who is also balancing a pretty impressive career that has a male from her past reappear in her life. The second chance romance in this story was interesting. I can't wait to read this author's next book.

I’’m usually a huge fan of second chance tropes, but this book just didn’t do it for me. What I find most appealing in this particular trope is that they are usually either filled with angst or humor. This book had neither - it was just boring.
Thanks to Netgalley and Montlake for ARC.

A big thank you to Netgalley and Montlake for the opportunity to read this book!!

I just finished Alternative Endings and I really, really enjoyed it. I found the first 15% or so to be a bit slow for me but it quickly picked up and I was hooked. I felt the characters were so realistic; with their thoughts, reactions to conflicts, and interactions with one another. I throughly enjoyed the chapters with Bash; he was my favorite!
Overall, I give it a 3.5 and would definitely recommend this easy and heartfelt read.

I really enjoyed this cute story and I was excited to read this because second chance is one of my favorite tropes! This was a quick read for me. I really liked watching the growth of the main character Bea and how she was navigating trying to find the balance between her personal and professional life. I also enjoyed the element of travel in this book with the biweekly work trips to Ireland and Bea's very supportive friend group.

Thank you to Montlake and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book!

Alternate Endings is about Beatrice, a soon to be single mom on the brink of a promotion, gets an unexpected surprise when her high school crush/suedo boyfriend Jack gets a job at the business she works for. Meanwhile, her job is getting more demanding, with more travel and trying to keep her soon-to-be ex-husband from flying off the deep end with the increased travel and demands of her job. With the help of her friends and Jack, Beatrice is able to deal with her past and come to terms with her present so she can figure out her future.

This is such a sweet story about love, healing, embracing who you are and realizing one’s potential.

I read this book very quickly and it was easy to read. It explores life's changes with Bea's world and how the negative things that happen don't always have to have negative reactions. I really enjoyed it overall.

I read this book in one day. Does that say anything? I adore Jack and Bea. You see growth in both characters throughout the story, but especially Bea. I love that there are recipes at the back of the book. Read this if you like second chance romance. If you like Carley Fortune, Emily Henry, and Christina Lauren you’ll love this.

Triggers: infertility

There are aspects of the book that I really enjoyed: Bea's inner thoughts and the struggle of juggling her personal and professional life, Bea's friend group was great, and most of all, I liked the well-paced relationship between her and Jack. My favourite character was Bass with his endless questions and love for knowledge. But there also somethings I did not enjoy as much such as the anti - climactic resolution with Lucas and lack of resolution or development with Jack's family. Overall, I would give this book 3.5/5 starts.

Thank you to NetGalley and Montlake Publishing for the ARC of this book! I read Recipe for Second Chances and loved it, so I was super excited to get to read this one early in exchange for a review. It didn't disappoint and I absolutely loved this one!

Bea, is a mid thirties divorced mom of one who is an executive at a major company in New York. She has a difficult relationship with her ex husband and is navigating that along with grief from infertility. When her boss decided to move to Ireland and wants the higher ups in the company to travel there for meetings bi weekly she is worried about how it will affect her parenting and life in general. When she runs into her high school love, Jack, who broke her heart because he is the new CTO of the company in unearths all sorts of complicated feelings. Throughout the book she learns a lot about herself and how she hasn't cared for her own needs or been happy and leans on Jack in ways she didn't expect. Their relationship is so sweet and realistic. I loved reading about them and truly enjoyed reading about a heroine with a little more backstory than your typical rom com. Such a good book that I will definitely recommend! Ali Rosen is an author I will look forward to reading other books from. Thanks for the opportunity to review this one!

Wow. What an amazing second novel from Ali Rosen. I really enjoyed her debut novel, and this proved an even better read. The swell of emotions throughout reading this were like a rollercoaster. She touches on such important topics, and everything she wrote felt genuinely real. The friendships in this novel are unparalleled to most books I’ve read recently. I love the perspective of her main character, Bea being a single mother. Life is messy and people come into it unexpectedly, just as Jack Sander does so gracefully. Their relationship blossoms into something pure and affectionate compared to that of their teenage years. The pacing was on point, there weren’t any moments that felt superfluous or dragging. I really loved the dimensions of her and Lucas’ relationship as co-parents, she respected him as a father and vice versa even if they didn’t care for one another, which in reality is most co-parenting. I really enjoy the cooking similes she often gravitates towards, brings a smile to my face every time. Thank you NetGalley for letting me read and review. I can’t wait for another Ali Rosen book in the future!
