The Stolen Girls by Jeff Stenson is a heart-pounding and emotionally charged thriller that dives deep into the fear, desperation, and unrelenting determination of two fathers whose worlds are shattered when their daughters are kidnapped. The story follows Ron, a widowed father who is about to experience every parent's worst nightmare when his daughter, Jennifer, is taken from her school. His frantic search leads him to a chilling discovery: another father, Todd, is also searching for his daughter, Rebecca, who has gone missing under eerily similar circumstances.

Stenson does an excellent job of building suspense as the narrative alternates between Ron’s harrowing pursuit of his daughter and Todd’s own anguish. The plot moves quickly, with each passing moment heightening the tension, as both fathers work desperately to uncover the truth. The author paints a vivid picture of their emotional turmoil—Ron’s overwhelming guilt over his daughter’s disappearance and Todd’s frustration as he watches his own child’s case being handled with more urgency than Ron’s.

The book takes readers on an emotional rollercoaster, exploring the pain of parental love and the agony of not knowing whether your child is safe or suffering. As the two fathers come together to form an unlikely alliance, the suspense intensifies as they uncover shocking details that point to a deeper, more sinister conspiracy linking the two disappearances. Stenson masterfully weaves together the individual pain of both characters with the hope that their united search might just lead them to their daughters, even as time runs out.

The pacing of The Stolen Girls is relentless, never allowing the reader to rest for long. The twists are sharp, and the revelations about the missing girls are both unexpected and horrifying, keeping readers on the edge of their seats. What’s truly striking, however, is the bond that forms between the two fathers. Their shared grief and determination to find their daughters provides a touching and poignant element to the story, making The Stolen Girls not just a thrilling ride, but also a deeply emotional one.

For fans of psychological thrillers with strong, complex characters and an ever-building sense of urgency, The Stolen Girls is a must-read. Jeff Stenson combines elements of suspense, mystery, and emotional depth to deliver a novel that is as heartbreaking as it is thrilling. You won’t be able to put it down.

Thanks to NetGalley, Storm Publishing and Jeff Stetson for giving me this arc in exchange for an honest review.
When two dads Ron and Todd from separate worlds find their daughters taken in a span of days. As an anguished Ron struggles for Jennifer's search to gain the same urgency to Todd's daughter, new clues arise suggesting a shocking link between the two missing girls' cases.
With time running out and the police not being close to finding their daughters the two father's unite to find their daughters but will their search put their daughters in more danger and will them and save them in time.
I really enjoyed the characters in the book; they were well-developed and engaging, each bringing a unique perspective and depth to the story. The pacing of the book was excellent and the teamwork showed in the book was inspiring .

Two dads from two different worlds team up when they believe their daughter's abductions are somehow linked. The story continues to grow as the police won't believe them and refuse to help. This is a book of resilient characters I will never forget! Not too graphic or violent, but suspenseful enough to keep you reading and guessing until the end.

"The Stolen Girls" by Jeff Stone is a gripping and unsettling thriller that delves into the dark world of human trafficking. The story follows a former cop, Jack Callahan, as he searches for his missing daughter and becomes entangled in a complex web of corruption and exploitation. With its fast-paced action and well-developed characters, this book is a must-read for fans of crime fiction. Stone's writing is crisp and engaging, making it easy to get lost in the world he has created.

This was a good read, a little slower pace than I would of liked but, but overall a good read.

Kidnapping, Families, Trauma, and more.... it was much more than I was expecting.
Plot of the book was great,

Received e-copy from Netgalley for review.

Sadly this book wasn’t for me. After reading the blurb I had high hopes but unfortunately it lacked many things.
Firstly it lacked any real action and was terribly slow paced, the plot didn’t seem to advance very much and I got bored trying to make myself persevere, so eventually gave up and skimmed through the rest quickly.

It lacked character progression and I wasn’t drawn to anyone really. It was very predictable and no surprises.

Thank you to Storm Publishing and NetGalley for the ARC in return for an honest review.

This book was harder for me to get into, whether it's the writing or the pace of the story I couldn't tell you, but as soon as I reached 60% I couldn't put it down. The multiple POVs were sometimes confusing, but I did appreciate that it allowed us to follow the girls in their situation.

This was written very well. Yes it was about missing children, something we have all heard before but throw in a few different details and we have an interesting book. I was engaged from start to finish.

The premise was great but the story didn't live up to what I expected. I was anticipating more of a thriller. The action did pick up a lot more towards the end which was exciting.

Thank you to NetGalley and Storm Publishing for my ARC!

This seemed to start out ok but I found it dwelled a lot on the fathers and their feelings and that didn’t help the story much. There seemed to be a lot of inconsistencies in the crime and criminal ….didn’t believe it at all. The last couple of chapters suddenly pulled it together after a long time of nothing.

Two men, one poor and black, one rich and white. Both have daughters about the same age and both are taken. This is the story of their desperate struggle to find their daughters and bring them home safe.
The story was interesting and surprising. Would enjoy reading the authors next book.

Full disclosure, I requested this book on NetGalley in January and it took me until March to finish it. I just could not get into it, which I feel bad about because I WANTED to love it. The plot description sounded so great, but unfortunately I couldn’t get past the repetitive writing. I felt like every other chapter was just repeating exactly the same stuff we’d already been told multiple times. That being said, I am giving this book an extra star for at least having an interesting ending. Overall, though, it just wasn’t my cup of tea.

hmmmm this was an interesting story it shows how money doesnt biy everything and doesnt mstter what race or background your from something could happen to you. It also ahows how far a dad would go for their daughter. I will admit i did skim a bit in the middle but thats more cos i wanted too get to the end too fond out what happened rather than anything.

A great read and a new author for me and one I'll be looking out for in the future. Reading about missing children always makes me uncomfortable but, this story was so gripping that I forgot my feelings and quickly got absorbed by the story. Very good. My thanks to netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.

I loved this book from the beginning! Ron is the perfect doting single father to his daughter, Jennifer. One day Jennifer just vanishes from school. Todd, a not so present father takes his daughter Rebecca roller-blading at Venice Beach to make up to her for missing a ballet recital. As he turns to buy them lunch at a nearby stand, Rebecca disappears. Ron drives a beat up car, lives in a small two bedroom apartment, and just gets by but would do anything for his daughter. Todd is wealthy, lives in the best part of town, and knows all the right people. He hasn't been there for his daughter or his wife and comes to the realization that he is losing everyone he's loved. When Ron's daughter goes missing, the police treat him like a suspect. When Todd's daughter goes missing, they treat him to a news conference with the disappearance of Rebecca flashed all over the news. Ron can barely get anyone to listen to him, let alone believe him until he crashes the news conference for Todd's missing daughter. These two men come together, differences aside, opinions aside to do anything to find their daughters. Anything. This story will keep you on the edge of your seat. Thank you to Jeff Stetson, NetGalley and Storm Publishing for allowing me to read this book!

Another great book: The Stolen Girls by Jeff Stetson. It came out on the 9th of February and I received a copy from Storm Publishing via Netgalley.

Single dad Ron is late to pick up his daughter from school. But his Jennifer isn't there. She's been taken.
A few days later he sees the news and on it is an item about a missing girl - a white girl. Why wasn't there a report about his daughter?
The two fathers are connected by this awful situation and they vouch to see this through together and do their utmost best to find their missing daughters. It's not safe, but their own safety is not on their radar.

The most awful situation imaginable for any parent, that's what this book is about. The way this author managed to describe the situation both fathers find themselves in, is quite realistic in my opinion. I would go crazy as well and do whatever is necessary. So, the characters are well worked out in this fast paced and action filled story. I loved every bit of it and I can't wait to read more by this author.

5/5 ⭐
