This is a good book. The two main characters are Roxanna and Chris. They dated when they were in college. Chris broke up with Roxanna. Chris is Roxanna’s best friend brother. There still an attraction. Roxanna was a chef at a restaurant but they had a fire and need to rebuild. She is now on Chris’ family business boat. She is the chef for the crew. Chris needs a wife to get his family off his back. He ask Roxanna if she would marry him she says yes. They fall in love.
The Chef and the Billionaire Boss is a deliciously fun second chance love story. This book serves up a tasty tale - smart, funny characters, zingy dialog, steamy encounters, all set against a bright Caribbean backdrop and a luxury yacht. Like going on vacation without leaving home, plenty of fun and a surprising reveal. Recommended!
OMG I loved this book!! It's grumpy/sunshine, enemies to lovers, second chance romance and more all neatly wrapped up in this perfect litter book. I couldn't put it down. I loved every word of this book. It was so good.
5 star read.
Great book. This author will be a one-click read for sure. Enjoyed the family drama and relationships.
A big thank you to NetGalley and the author for the eARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. I really enjoyed the relationship between Megan and Roxanne. Roxanne and Chris was a different story-why could they not communicate better? I found this sort of sad that the dad was so horrible in his treatment of his children. I did like the story though. 3.5 stars
Quick Summary: A "two halves becoming whole" romance novella
My Review: The Chef and the Billionaire Boss by Bree McFee was a dual POV, second chance, enemies to lovers romance.
About the Book: A billionaire with a history of insecurity and submissiveness to an overbearing father reunites with the only woman he has ever loved. Can he convince his beautiful chef to give in and cook up something wonderful with him?
My Final Say: This novella was an interesting mix of vagueness and overkill. It was too little, while at the same time, it was too much. The familial relationships were not in sync. The couples relationship was not in sync. Even the friendships were out of sync. There was something good in this story, however, the pacing threw me off. As it was, it was just too rushed. I think I would have preferred this story to be a little longer. Also, I did not care for the father or his attitude and actions toward his children. It, too, was out of sync, especially considering his showing toward the female lead.

Thank you for the opportunity to review this title.
thank you for the copy, netgalley!
i loved the below deck vibes, and the FMC was so cute. i was so sad to read about her restaurant burning down. but i couldn’t stay engaged due to there being so many side characters for a novella. they all blended together, and it confused me. then the dinner dates started and i just…. had to dnf lol.
but i will probably check out this author’s other work.
Roxanna and Chris dated while in college until Chris left her due to his own insecurities. They both went their own ways though Roxanna stayed close to Chris's sister Megan so when Megan asked her to take over as the chef on her brother's yacht she couldn't say no to her even though Roxanna really didn't want to be around Chris again.
Chris has been working towards taking over from his father but now he must find a wife. He doesn't know who the new chef is that his sister sent, but he's determined to see them off as soon as they arrive on the boat until he realises it's Roxanna. Then he becomes determined to make her his wife.
We never really find out what happened between them except that Chris left due to his insecurities. It would have been good to have a little more background information, I think it would have made the characters feel more real.
This book was ok, the MMC, Chris, came across as a spoiled brat who is used to getting everything he wants and the FMC, Roxanna, goes from not wanting to work near him due to him leaving her and breaking her heart six years earlier to wanting to be his wife in the space of like 4 seconds!
It was a super quick read and I was actually expecting a bit more smut but it was quite tame for the most part. I felt like all the characters lacked any depth and any conflict was either resolved instantly or not resolved at all - particularly the issues between Chris and his father. They don't really seem to get along yet they love Roxanna and can't understand why she would want to marry Chris! This eventually leads to Chris blowing up at his dad over dinner and admitting he's always loved her but his dad says nothing, eats another bite and the whole family leaves! The scene could have had so much more and it was quite disappointing that it didn't.
Thanks to NetGalley and Bree McFee Publishing for the opportunity to read and review this ARC.

From the moment I started this I knew I was going to like it. The characters were really well developed and I especially liked getting to know the personalities of the crew members onboard.
Thoroughly enjoyed this one and have added the other novella by this author to my TBR. Such a fun and quick read with just the right amount of spice☺️
