Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with a digital copy in exchange for a review.
I must start by confessing I went into the book expecting something different, maybe lighter? So it took me a minute to adjust. This is a story about loss, self-discovery, and emotional healing. There's so much love and so much pain here 🥺
But hey, sometimes life breaks you so you're able to grow. And this book is exactly about that.
The writing is beautiful, and if you love introspection and character development, this may be for you. Be prepared for triggering moments, though
This is a smooth read that jumps right into things from the first chapter! This book is full of love, loss, and interesting journeys. If you want a good read that’ll take you through a journey full of highs and lows then this is the one for you!
Falling Kashmir Roses" is a book that will leave you breathless along with an indelible print on your memory and mindset
Lily and her husband have drifted apart, seeking solace in the arms, and beds of others. In this crushing feeliing of loss, Lily meets Oliver, seemingly the answer to the sadness she is enduring while he is also trying to endure through adveristy
However, seeking solace in others is not the answer and Lily decides to travel, to rediscover the woman she feels she once was
Gwen B has the most beautifully elegant lyrical prose that the reader is completely immersed, blanketed in a gentle narrtive that is equally painful in its relatability and comforting all interspersed with references to Lily's spiritual journey in revitalising her soul
I would absolutely recommend this book, it was a joy to read and certainly one to keep in your collection
Thank you to Netgalley, Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op and the author Gwen B for this stunning ARC. My review is left voluntarily and all opinions are my own
"Falling Kashmir Roses" is a breathtakingly beautiful book that will leave you changed forever. Lily's journey is a masterclass in vulnerability, courage, and the human experience. As she navigates the treacherous waters of love, loss, and identity, we are invited to reflect on our own lives and the choices we make. The writing is exquisite, transporting us to far-flung lands and cultures with ease. But it's the author’s bold exploration of grief, trauma, and femininity that truly sets this book apart. By the final page, I felt like I'd lived a thousand lives, and my own heart had been tenderly cracked open. If you're ready to be transformed, to weep and wonder, and to rediscover the magic of the world, then "Falling Kashmir Roses" is your next read. It's a triumph of storytelling and a testament to the resilience of the human spirit.
Thank you so much Netgalley and author Gwen B for an opportunity to read an ARC ♥️
