3.5 Stars The morally gray girlies are going to love Dishonestly Yours by Krista and Becca Ritchie!

Best friends Phoebe Graves and Hailey Tinrock are starting fresh in a small Connecticut town to escape the life of crime they grew up in. But their plan is complicated by the fact that Rocky, Hailey's older brother who has a past with Phoebe, has tagged along. Rocky isn't used to living honestly and Phoebe is worried that he'll tempt her back into her old ways where lying is second nature. The longer Phoebe lives this new life, the easier it is to picture what a life with Rocky could look like.

I can honestly say I've never read a book quite like Dishonestly Yours. I don't often read books with the morally gray trope, so I haven't read a book about con artists before and especially not one about con artists trying to leave that life behind. This book had everything I expected from the authors of the Addicted series: angst, tension, secrets, and plenty of drama. Phoebe was a compelling character and it made my heart ache to see how she was used for her body and seen as nothing more than an object by her family. Seeing her overcome feeling like her worth was only in what she could be used for and find comfort and relief in her new small town life was the best part of the story besides her romance with Rocky. Rocky and Hailey were fun characters to read about, especially since they were different under their hard exteriors.

Thank you Valentine PR and Berkley Romance for the ARC!

4.25 stars - arc review. I genuinely really enjoyed this Phoebe and rocky were the perfect opposites yet so similar and their history really strengthens their relationship. I loved Hailey and all the brothers excited to see where the next book goes. Definitely different from the addicted world but if you’ve read it, it has similar found family vibes which I really think makes the book more appealing because you get so connected to these characters and the rollercoaster of emotions you go through are so worth it.

WOW! This book was addicting! I didn’t want it to end. And then it did and I wasn’t prepared for it. I need the next book, like now!
The love between Phoebe and Rocky was so deep and complicated. Their tension was intense. This was most definitely a slow burn. All of the characters were very well developed. The story was so good and the twist had me yelling omg, wtf just happened?!
This was my first, and most definitely not my last book by these authors. Extremely well written!!❤️❤️❤️

Wow!! This was my first Krista and Becca Ritchie book. Safe to say I will be reading more by them. I cannot wait. This book had me wanting to know more, there was slow burn romance, tension, and mystery too. I was wondering who I could trust and needed to know more about the characters pasts. Friendship was displayed so well in this book, and I loved Phoebe and Hailey’s friendship throughout the book. I can’t wait to see how relationships develop throughout the series, and I’m so ready for book 2! I loved the dual POV and also going back and forth between time frames. Such a unique book concept that I haven’t seen before, and I really enjoyed it!!

What a wonderful rollercoaster that I was not expecting and loved for the whole ride!! Phoebe and Hailey decide to break ties with their Con Artist families for a new start. However, Hailey’s brother and Phoebe’s love interest Rocky decides to follow them the craziness begins. I loved seeing them try to go the straight and narrow, with the flashbacks to how their lives were growing up. Slowly the rest of Phoebe and Hailey’s brothers follow them into town and the story gets juicier!! The book was fast paced and sucked me in. I can’t wait for the next part of this rollover coaster in Book 2!!

I went into this book hoping I would like it as much as the addicted series and was utterly shocked that I loved it EVEN more!
The characters in this book will completely steal your heart and you will just swoon, feel all their emotions and route for them the entire book.
I love that we got bits and pieces of their back stories dangled in front of us, leaving you dying to find out more the whole book.
The story was so gripping, I was fascinated by it and couldn’t wait to see how everything would turn out.
I absolutely flew through this book, anytime I picked it up I had to force myself to put it down and would always be dying to get back to it.
I also loved the ending it was SO epic and have been left needing to know where this story is going to go. I can’t wait for the next book and have my new found family!
Thank you so much to Valentine PR & Krista and Becca Ritchie for my arc copy, my thoughts are my own.

Please, for the love of all the book goddesses out there read Dishonestly Yours by Krista & Becca Ritchie. I promise you won’t regret it.

After a last con goes bust, Phoebe Graves and her life-long best friend Hailey Tinrock decide to attempt to break-free from the joint-family business and leave the life of being a con-artist behind– looking to start fresh in the small university town of Victoria, Connecticut. But there is a (hot) catch, Rocky, Hailey’s older beyond-smoking handsome brother, discovers this and decides to join them and help them get settled for the interim. Together they navigate the challenges of having parents who are con-artists and rely on them to get the job done and finding a way to break-free from their crime-filled past. However, the small town of Victoria has people with secrets of their own.

The chemistry between Phoebe and Rocky is impeccable, and honestly meeting Rocky was the best way to spend my last reading day in June. This book unpacks the dynamics of their partnership/relationship in several jobs, where they were in fake relationships…and whether it’s possible to be together without the weight of everyone else’s expectations. For my slow-burn girlies, this book will not disappoint, especially with rocky as the mmc. I’m also always a sucker for dual narrative.

Further, the found family trope in this book is heartwarming and the love that Rocky, Hailey, Trevor, Phoebe, Oliver, and Nova made me smile on more than one occasion reading this book. The way they protect and support each other adds another element to this book that makes it even more worth it to read.

I was also pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the con-artistry in this book. It was very fun to read and after the ending… I genuinely can’t wait for the rest of the series.

Thank you to Berkley Publishing Group through Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to review Dishonestly Yours. Available tomorrow!

I really enjoyed reading this book! The first few chapters took me a bit to get into. Once I was hooked on to the story, I was really interested and could not put the book down!! Dishonestly Yours is about Phoebe, Hailey, and Rocky who grew up in families who are deceive others for a living. They’ve been doing con jobs their whole lives and want to run away from that life. Initially only Phoebe and Hailey were planning to run away but then Rocky, Hailey’s brother, found out and decided to join them.

You can tell how much Rocky and Phoebe care about one another. The tension between these two had me HOOKED. I was hanging on to every word they exchanged with one another. I love how protective Rocky is of Phoebe and that there were chapters from the past that gave context and backstory to understand their thought process and reasonings. Also, the found family is just everything.

The cliffhanger at the end left me with so many questions. I have a few thoughts in mind as to what could be happening. I cannot wait for the next book!

Thank you Valentine PR, NetGalley, and Berkley for the Arc!

3.75 Rounded up to 4

If there's one thing KBR is going to do, it's make you fall in love with a found family trope. That, and fall in love with all their toxic characters.

Dishonestly Yours follows the children of two con-artist families. Wanting to finally be "clean" of that life style, Hailey and Phoebe leave their families behind to start a new. Plans don't go smoothly when Hailey's older brother and Phoebe's long time crush/con partner Rocky joins them on the run.

I'm going to admit, the first part of this book was a little rough. It was very info dumpy with all the con back stories, but the second half to 3/4 of the books really makes up for me. First, I love Phoebe and Rocky's tension. Having Rocky's POV does a lot for me, esp if you love a jealous MMC. If OW/OM drama is not for you, bits of this story may be difficult to read - but the toxicity of the relationship really pushed me through. I do think I was left with more questions than answers, and because of that I'm definitely excited to continue this series.

Thank you to Netgalley, Valentine PR, KBR and Berkley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review

This is my first experience with the Ritchie Twins!

I was so excited to pick this one up, but nervous too.

The conning was like forbidden fruit, almost. I loved that aspect of it and how they were trying to live right.

And rocky!! Man he is some serious alpha male energy.
I loved how they were so standoffish to each other, but the sexual tension was so strong.
And when she said they were divorced ! HA! That was so good.
When they finally decided to be together 🔥🥵

I'm running to read more by these ladies!!!

I loved this book.
I am so glad to have received this ARC.
What a great read!

A strong start to what I'm anticipating to be an epic series!! I did not realize this was not a standalone book, so my reaction when I saw I only had 10% left and many plotlines to wrap up was not good. I assumed I would finish the book disappointed. HOWEVER, once I realized this is book 1 in a series, not an interconnected series, I was in love. The plot is fun and unique, and the characters are all compelling. I do wish we got a little more description of the town itself and the people. It was very surface level description, but hopefully we get more as the series progresses!

🍓𝑫𝒊𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒍𝒚 𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒔🍓

After reading the entirety of the Addicted/Like Us series at the beginning of the year, I knew without a doubt I’d be reading Dishonestly Yours.

It was marketed to be something so vastly different than the series that they’ve previously done, but I had faith that KBR would crush it.
and ✨𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐲 𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐭✨ did they deliver.

The humor, angst, tension, and banter were so well done that you can’t help but immediately fall in love with these characters.
And even though it’s about two families, the found family within both sets of siblings is incredible.

Phoebe is my girl and if I could pull off blue hair, you best believe I’d have it. So instead, I’ll be a mix of her & Hailey(a bookworm blondie). Rocky is a loving asshole, which is my favorite kind.

I can’t wait to learn even more about the history between the families and more about the other siblings through the duration of this series.
But all I really want to do is give each and every one of them a big hug and tell them they are 𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐄 than the cons they pull.

𝟏𝟎𝟎𝟎/𝟏𝟎 will be recommending to anyone and everyone who will listen🖤

Thank you to NetGalley and Berkley Publishing Group for this ARC. I have never read anything by Krista and Becca Ritchie before, but this book immediately drew me in because of the premise and the characters. Phoebe and her best friend Hailey grew up having to lie, con, and run their entire lives. As their families worked together to pull off high-stakes cons, no place was ever permanent for them, and an honest life could never be achieved. When a con takes a turn for the worst, Hailey devises a plan to run away from their past when her brother, Rocky, insists on accompanying them. Phoebe finds herself at odds with whether she can truly give up her old ways for her best friend. Rocky only seems to tempt her and ruin her shot at a new and honest life.

Rocky and Phoebe have an intoxicating push-and-pull dynamic, which is so satisfying to see as they blossom and cannot evade their feelings for each other any longer. This book does an amazing job of delving into Rocky and Phoebe’s thoughts and individual stories. I was not expecting this book to be as angsty as it was, but I loved the balance of it along with the drama and comedy through the progression of the story. I love how each character and their personalities shine through. The siblings on both sides of the family were very lovable, and I enjoyed how different everyone was. I especially love Rocky’s character and complexity when it comes to dealing with his emotions; however, I wish he and Phoebe had more vulnerable moments. Given their history and pining, I wanted more softer interactions. Otherwise, I enjoyed this book and can’t wait for the rest of the series. This book will be published on July 2nd, so keep an eye out!

Popped my Richie sister strawberry with this read and all I have to say is WOW.
I was sucked in immediately, couldn’t put this down, NEEDED to know what was going to happen and I will now be waiting anxiously for the next.

Thank you NetGalley for an arc- this was immensely addicting and now I’m hungover.

I devoured this and loved every minute of it!! Be warned, it ends on a cliffhanger that I was not expecting haha but aside from that, this was exactly what I wanted in a new series from Krista and Becca Ritchie and I can't wait to see where this series goes!!

While this has a different feel than the Addicted series world, their writing felt so comforting and I was immediately invested. Phoebe and her best friend Hailey are looking for a new start, but when Hailey's brother Rocky follows them, things become much more complicated than they already are!

This book being about con artists is just so fun! I loved how the book was told in the present day but with flashbacks to their past cons. It really helped paint a picture of their families and what their lives were up to this point. And we had some mystery surrounding what went down in Carlsbad that changed everything.

I also loved that this was dual POV and we could really feel the love and pining from both Phoebe and Rocky. Like the angst and tension was top tier and had that sweet slow burn that we love. I honestly was surprised at how slow burn it was until I realized that they weren't only getting one book, so it made more sense haha. Both Phoebe and Rocky are fantastic main characters and we had so many side characters to learn about and love too. I'm hoping we get books for some of the siblings!

So all in all I loved this book so much, definitely can see it being a top read of the year for me, and I need the next book in the series immediately!

i think if you like angsty, slow burn with toxic relationships, manipulation and some OW/OM drama, you’ll like this one. i’ve never read a book about con artists, so this was a whole new world for me. i didn’t love it though

the first half was pretty dull and it was hard for me to get into it, but the last 20% of this book had a plot that actually intrigued me. i know i’m going to continue this series just because of that. otherwise this book was too much foundation and not enough plot

the one thing i will say about krista & becca is that they are always good at writing found family tropes!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I was so excited to read this one as the premise is very unique. Dishonestly Yours did not disappoint in the slightest. It is chaotic, angsty, and interesting, with the perfect blend of the found family aspects, drama, and childhood friends to lovers.
You are instantly hooked by main characters and with a few plot twists along the way , you’re always wondering what is going to happen next?

“I’ve always been dishonestly yours. And it looks like that’s not changing.”

“ Our insides do not entirely match our outsides, but does anyone’s? Most people aren’t what they seem to be at first sight we know that better than most.”

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC

P.S I NEED THE SEQUEL NOW !!

I’m trying to organize my thoughts and keep this spoiler free give me a minute 😭

I have been so excited for this book since the sisters announced it bc the premise sounds WILDLY different from what we’re used to from them - and it was but it was also beautifully and comfortingly similar to what we usually get and I really love them for that. They gave us these brand new characters and this crazy unique plot and maintained what I’ve always loved best about their writing, which is the way the make you connect to the characters so thoroughly and genuinely that you can’t imagine ever having not had them and their story in your life. I will forever be blown away by their ability to show you parts of yourself in all of their characters 🥹

Per KBR usual, the found family and the angst and the yearning and the wit and the humor is off the charts, can’t be beat, nothing could compare. While this story is primarily about Rocky and Phoebe, it’s almost equally about their families and the bonds they share, especially between the two groups of siblings. Hailey, Trevor, Nova, and Oliver were just as spectacular to get to know as Phoebe and Rocky were.

The main thing I appreciate about the love story between Rocky and Phoebe is that it’s never really a question of if, but when. That along with the fact that their bond is based purely on love, loyalty, and family devotion instead of physical intimacy, and the tension and slow burn to get there was devastating and delicious and so freaking perfect.

This book had me dreaming dreams of blue hair and country clubs, spiders and strawberries, and it’s been a really long time since a book had such an impact on me. I can’t wait to see where this series goes, where the Graves and the Tinrocks take us next. 🍓🕷️

“Rocky and I, together, are a volcanic eruption. One that’ll never end, not until the whole world is coated in magma.”

Dishonestly Yours is an exciting, fun read that follows best friends Phoebe Graves and Hailey Tinrock as they attempt to leave their conning and deceiving lives behind in a small costal town. However, Hailey’s very attractive brother, Rocky, insists on tagging along. This story is a dual pov book, told from Rocky and Phoebe in a compilation of flashbacks and present time.

I loved the dynamic between Rocky and Phoebe. Their banter, chemistry, and angst were absolutely delicious in this book. Krista and Becca Ritchie know how to write a man that has me giggling and rooting for him right off the bat. If you love Lily and Lo, I have a feeling you will love Rocky and Phoebe.

This book primary focuses on the relationship of Rocky and Phoebe, who have been lovers, friends, enemies, siblings, spouses, and more during their cons. I loved seeing their relationship build through the flashbacks and the present time.

The twist at the end was so good; it had my jaw dropped and left me wanting more! I can’t wait to see how this found family grows in the remaining books in this series.

Once again, Krista and Becca Ritchie have written an amazing character-driven book and created the start of another iconic series. If you are intimated by the “con artist” theme, don’t be. This book was so fun yo read, and I would highly recommend it to everyone!
Dishonestly Yours is out July 2nd so be sure to get your copy!

Thank you to @kbritchie and @valentine_pr for sending me an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.🍓🕷️🕸️
