It was so easy for me to get reeled into this story from the beginning. To be honest, I was reeled in from the blurb alone. Two people who grew up on cons- now have to live and love honestly?! That seems impossible. And let me tell you- it is downright hard in some ways for Rocky and Phoebe. On one hand, we don’t see a single crumb of a miscommunication trope here. These two communicate like a married couple of 60 years, and it is refreshing to see. There is nothing but honesty between them (aside from the obvious). But then we see the struggle of turning a metaphorical leaf as well.
The other characters we meet in this book (Hailey the boys) are all incredibly well thought out, they all add depth to the overall plot, the banter between them all is hilarious, and I can’t wait to see more of them.
The tension between our main characters Rocky and Phoebe is SO GOOD. It feels like a live wire between these pages, once you start you literally can’t put the book down.
I am so invested in this new world Krista and Becca have shoved me into- that cliffhanger ending has got me with my own crumpled up paper full of notes (iykyk)
I need the second book in this series like YESTERDAY. Not to mention the subtle references to our Addicted/Calloway Sisters world keeps my own addiction to them happy as well.

This was not at all what I expected when I started. I expected a steamy, forbidden love romance. It was more con artists starting anew on the straight and narrow. A bit of enemies to lovers, a love triangle, and mystery. There was a great, slow burn, but it burned extremely slowly. I read it and enjoyed it enough to finish it easily. However, I'm not sure I want to continue the series. There’s so much left on the table at the end. It had a great bomb drop, too. But as a whole, it was a little lackluster for me.

Releases July 2, 2024.

OH MY GOODNESS. KRISTA AND BECCA!! This book was so good. So so good. I was hooked from the start.

You could just feel the tension between Phoebe and Rocky. The angst. I love Phoebe and Hailey’s friendship—they are the definition of found family. And Rocky… *cue Britney Spears “Mama, I’m in love with a criminal”* He’s perfection if I’ve ever read one. I loved the subtle crossover details from the Addicted/Calloway Sisters series. Let’s talk about the cliffhanger! WHAT WAS THAT?! I need the next book like tomorrow, pronto, asap. I need to see how this unfolds!

Overall, wonderful book. So well written and super bingeable. It’s hard to stop reading once you start. Make sure you get this on release day!

Rocky and Pheobe 😍 what an amazing start to a new series! I loved the unique storyline. The characters were all so lovable and I’m excited to see where the next book goes.

I am new to the Ritchies' books and I already can see so much potential for me to love them! Just from reading the synopsis, I was already intrigued with Dishonestly Yours. This story is about two friends, Phoebe and Hailey, that have grown up in a family of con artists and decide to leave their old lives behind for a fresh start.

The beginning half of this book was a little slow-paced and felt a bit repetitive at points. The flashbacks are great additions to the story and give you so much more insight into the character's lives. We get a lot about the main characters Phoebe, Hailey and Rocky; but I wish we could have gotten a little more personality for their siblings. At times, I couldn't tell who was who but I expect that as the series goes on, their personalities will shine through more and more!

THE ENDING. The last couple chapters of this book had me flying through the pages. The cliffhanger that we are left with was perfect, there are so many different ways this series can go and I am excited to continue on with these books! You grow to love the characters even with their flaws and by learning more and more about their histories, you can't help but root for them.

Overall, I think this book was very entertaining! It's definitely worth the read and I can't wait to see where this series goes.

Thank you to Berkley and Valentine for the eARC of this book, all opinions are my own.

Oh hell yes! Krista and Becca knocked it out of the park with this one! This one was so entertaining! The fact that they are con artists had me HOOKED. I loved how we got flashbacks to their cons like that was so much fun.

I loved Phoebe, I loved her friendship with Hailey and how bad ass she is! Plus love the fact that she has blue hair. The angst and tension between her and Rocky was delicious!

ALSO THE ENDING!? I'M SO SAT FOR THE NEXT ONE.

this was such a good first book to kick off a new series. it had drama, angst, family, secrets and love. the beginning was on the slower side but once the siblings are all together i couldn’t put the book down! i know going into this book you think you aren’t going to love the characters because of what they do (their con artists) but trust me you will fall in love with them and want all of their stories just like i do. and oh my damn that ending had me on the edge of my seat!

The sibling love between the two sets of siblings very much reminds me of the addicted series and i was so glad for that. Seeing them go to the ends of the earth for each other had me all in my feels and made it feel like a true Krista and Becca story.

The love story between Rocky and Phoebe was angsty and tension filled but it was also beautiful to read. they are each other’s safe place no matter how hard they try to fight it.

I loved this book!! It did take me a minute to get into the groove of it all, but once I did? I couldn't get enough of it. The tension between Rocky and Phoebe was delicious, the chemistry was literally undeniable and watching them orbit around each other the way they do with all their history had me on the edge of my seat. The entire cast of characters and the whole con-artist dynamic going on was so fun and interesting! I think that aspect was executed really well because I was so invested in every con they explained and honestly wanted more of them. Can't wait to see where everything goes with this series and all of the characters, there's so much here that I'm excited for, especially after that cliffhanger?? I'm more than ready for book 2.

I absolutely adore Krista and Becca Ritchie. As much as I LOVED this book, I can say with almost certainty that this series will grow on me as it progresses because that is also how I felt about the Addicted series. Angst, tension, drama, secrets, and (in a sense) found family.

Thank you Valentine PR for the E-ARC of Dishonestly Yours.
These characters were amazing, Krista and Becca seriously know how to write a great cast of characters. The plot was so fun and that ENDING! I binged this book in 24 hours and I cannot wait to see where the series goes from here. I am so sad I have to wait so long for the next book!!!

THE BOOK OF THE YEAR!!! Thank you so much Berkley and NetGalley for allowing me to read this arc! This has been one of my most anticipated releases for so long, I can't believe I was able to read this early. Like I want to cry. And now that it's over? I'm gonna cry some more. Rocky and Phoebe = soulmates. Go argue with the wall. This book is my new obsession I fear. There is so much tension and angst, l actually cannot function. This had me giggling, kicking my feet, gasping, looking at the imaginary camera, you name it. Krista and Becca Ritchie have never done me wrong, they wrote a masterpiece again! I can't wait to have the physical book in my hands

What an exciting, fun, and seriously addicting start to a new series from the Ritchie sisters! This book was so good and I absolutely devoured it! Once again, these two have started a series with engaging storylines, captivating characters, and wrapped it in an idyllic setting!

This story follows Phoebe and Hailey and their con artist families as Phoebe and Hailey try to leave the con world behind and start fresh in a charming Connecticut town. After a job that went wrong, both girls are ready to try to start fresh, but after spending their entire lives lying, it’s hard to start over and leave the lies behind. Especially when Hailey’s brother Rocky joins them, with whom Phoebe has a very messy past.

The characters in this were sooo good. I loved how Phoebe and Hailey were essentially opposites but would do everything and anything to protect each other. They are truly the definition of ride or die and I loved their relationship. And Rocky? Oh that man is excellent. His tension with Phoebe was palpable and I couldn’t get enough! I loved how flashbacks to previous cons were used throughout to establish their relationship and add in more tension to the present. They are SO HOT and I cannot wait to get more of their story! We also got to meet more of the Tinrock and Graves families and I just know this series is going to be sooo good as we get to learn more about the other siblings and their stories as well!

The plot was really engaging and addicting as well. I loved the elements of a pseudo love triangle and friendship with Jake and can’t wait for where the story will go with his family too. There were some major discoveries made near the end of the book and it ends on such a perfect cliffhanger. I audibly said “What???” when I flipped the page and it was the acknowledgements. I wasn’t expecting it to end like that and I need more now!

If you were a fan of the Addicted series, I think you’ll love this one! If you’ve not read anything from them yet, I still think you’ll love this because its just so much fun!

I received a copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

4.5/5 Stars!

“Because confidence is the most powerful tool in this world. Having confidence and gaining confidence from others is our job. It’s all you need to build a life. Never forget that.”

DNF at 36%. I do not know what’s wrong with me lately but I am having such a hard time continuing with books that aren’t keeping me wanting more. And unfortunately this is one of those books.

I tried to read it. I tried to listen. And although the plot was certainly intriguing and I fully felt I would love it, I was just bored. I found my mimd wandering a lot while reading and that only really happens to me when I’m trying to force myself to read something I’m not enjoying.

I have never read a book by these authors before but in reading reviews I see that they have written some good ones. So I do believe some will really love this! It was just a little slow for me.

Thanks for the free audiobook @PRHAudio and to Netgalley, Berkley Publishing, and the author for the ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts.

This is not my cup of tea, I thought I could make it work but I could not. I really was intrigued in the beginning, but once we hit 20% it just went downhill for me. I wasn't super impressed by the writing, it felt a bit juvenile. I didn't love the characters, and some scenes made me a tad uncomfortable.

Dishonestly Yours by Krista & Becca Ritchie
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4 stars)

Dishonestly Yours was a different kind of read for me, exploring the world of con artists trying to turn their lives around. The story follows Haley and Phoebe, two con artists looking to start anew and leave their deceitful ways behind. While I initially struggled to get into the book due to its back-and-forth narrative, the gripping end had me hooked and eager to uncover the truth behind the story.

I found the chemistry between Phoebe and Rocky to be captivating, and I was rooting for them from the beginning. Their relationship added depth to the storyline and left me curious about what happens next for them. Overall, Dishonestly Yours was a captivating read that provided a fresh perspective on the world of deception. I rated it four out of five stars for its engaging plot and compelling characters that kept me invested until the very end.

I've never read anything by these authors, but I've heard great things about their books. The blurb for this one sounded super good and the cover is just gorgeous, but the book itself fell flat for me. I DNF'd at about 50%. I didn't feel a connection to any of the characters, I felt the plot wasn't moving, and it couldn't hold my attention anymore.

3.5⭐️ Thank you so much Berkeley Romance for the e-ARC and free final copy!💓

Addicted/calloway is my favorite series, and so I was interested to read a completely different book from them! Unfortunately, this didn’t end up being my absolute favorite. It definitely wasn’t a writing issue, as I’ve read so many of their books in the Calloway universe and enjoyed them all, but rather the story. I can absolutely see how this would be a fun read for some people, but I just felt like the narrative of the cons and the story overall wasn’t really for me. I would still recommend if this sounds like a book for you! I’m glad I got the chance to read it.

this was fun and different from what i am used to with reading K&B ritchie books. i love how great these two are at writing messy but real/human characters, it adds so much to the reading experience for me!!

i loved rocky & phoebe together and the plot twist was really good!! my biggest issue with this one was the pacing of the book.

i didnt love it but i didnt hate it 🫶🏼
