I devoured this and loved every minute of it!! Be warned, it ends on a cliffhanger that I was not expecting haha but aside from that, this was exactly what I wanted in a new series from Krista and Becca Ritchie and I can't wait to see where this series goes!!
While this has a different feel than the Addicted series world, their writing felt so comforting and I was immediately invested. Phoebe and her best friend Hailey are looking for a new start, but when Hailey's brother Rocky follows them, things become much more complicated than they already are!
This book being about con artists is just so fun! I loved how the book was told in the present day but with flashbacks to their past cons. It really helped paint a picture of their families and what their lives were up to this point. And we had some mystery surrounding what went down in Carlsbad that changed everything.
I also loved that this was dual POV and we could really feel the love and pining from both Phoebe and Rocky. Like the angst and tension was top tier and had that sweet slow burn that we love. I honestly was surprised at how slow burn it was until I realized that they weren't only getting one book, so it made more sense haha. Both Phoebe and Rocky are fantastic main characters and we had so many side characters to learn about and love too. I'm hoping we get books for some of the siblings!
So all in all I loved this book so much, definitely can see it being a top read of the year for me, and I need the next book in the series immediately!

i think if you like angsty, slow burn with toxic relationships, manipulation and some OW/OM drama, you’ll like this one. i’ve never read a book about con artists, so this was a whole new world for me. i didn’t love it though
the first half was pretty dull and it was hard for me to get into it, but the last 20% of this book had a plot that actually intrigued me. i know i’m going to continue this series just because of that. otherwise this book was too much foundation and not enough plot
the one thing i will say about krista & becca is that they are always good at writing found family tropes!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I was so excited to read this one as the premise is very unique. Dishonestly Yours did not disappoint in the slightest. It is chaotic, angsty, and interesting, with the perfect blend of the found family aspects, drama, and childhood friends to lovers.
You are instantly hooked by main characters and with a few plot twists along the way , you’re always wondering what is going to happen next?
“I’ve always been dishonestly yours. And it looks like that’s not changing.”
“ Our insides do not entirely match our outsides, but does anyone’s? Most people aren’t what they seem to be at first sight we know that better than most.”
Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC
P.S I NEED THE SEQUEL NOW !!

I’m trying to organize my thoughts and keep this spoiler free give me a minute 😭
I have been so excited for this book since the sisters announced it bc the premise sounds WILDLY different from what we’re used to from them - and it was but it was also beautifully and comfortingly similar to what we usually get and I really love them for that. They gave us these brand new characters and this crazy unique plot and maintained what I’ve always loved best about their writing, which is the way the make you connect to the characters so thoroughly and genuinely that you can’t imagine ever having not had them and their story in your life. I will forever be blown away by their ability to show you parts of yourself in all of their characters 🥹
Per KBR usual, the found family and the angst and the yearning and the wit and the humor is off the charts, can’t be beat, nothing could compare. While this story is primarily about Rocky and Phoebe, it’s almost equally about their families and the bonds they share, especially between the two groups of siblings. Hailey, Trevor, Nova, and Oliver were just as spectacular to get to know as Phoebe and Rocky were.
The main thing I appreciate about the love story between Rocky and Phoebe is that it’s never really a question of if, but when. That along with the fact that their bond is based purely on love, loyalty, and family devotion instead of physical intimacy, and the tension and slow burn to get there was devastating and delicious and so freaking perfect.
This book had me dreaming dreams of blue hair and country clubs, spiders and strawberries, and it’s been a really long time since a book had such an impact on me. I can’t wait to see where this series goes, where the Graves and the Tinrocks take us next. 🍓🕷️

“Rocky and I, together, are a volcanic eruption. One that’ll never end, not until the whole world is coated in magma.”
Dishonestly Yours is an exciting, fun read that follows best friends Phoebe Graves and Hailey Tinrock as they attempt to leave their conning and deceiving lives behind in a small costal town. However, Hailey’s very attractive brother, Rocky, insists on tagging along. This story is a dual pov book, told from Rocky and Phoebe in a compilation of flashbacks and present time.
I loved the dynamic between Rocky and Phoebe. Their banter, chemistry, and angst were absolutely delicious in this book. Krista and Becca Ritchie know how to write a man that has me giggling and rooting for him right off the bat. If you love Lily and Lo, I have a feeling you will love Rocky and Phoebe.
This book primary focuses on the relationship of Rocky and Phoebe, who have been lovers, friends, enemies, siblings, spouses, and more during their cons. I loved seeing their relationship build through the flashbacks and the present time.
The twist at the end was so good; it had my jaw dropped and left me wanting more! I can’t wait to see how this found family grows in the remaining books in this series.
Once again, Krista and Becca Ritchie have written an amazing character-driven book and created the start of another iconic series. If you are intimated by the “con artist” theme, don’t be. This book was so fun yo read, and I would highly recommend it to everyone!
Dishonestly Yours is out July 2nd so be sure to get your copy!
Thank you to @kbritchie and @valentine_pr for sending me an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.🍓🕷️🕸️

I dnfed this one at 15%. I loved the addicted/calloway sisters series by these authors and I rated a lot of them 5 stars but this one wasn't it for me. The characters weren't likeable, the plot felt all over the place, and the writing wasn't good in this one.

★★★★.5
This is a captivating summer read about temptation, lies, deceit, redemption and trying to find your moral compass. Even if that means going against everything you’ve ever known. Conning. This book was like a breath of fresh air, it’s like nothing I’ve ever read before. Get ready to be consumed by this story. Didn’t expect to fall in love with a bunch of con artists. But here we are. The way I became attached to Phoebe, Rocky and their siblings. The found family was everything.
Phoebe and Rocky’s relationship is messy, explosive, and their chemistry is off the charts. There was so much tension and angst between them and the will they won’t they had me hooked. Oh and Rocky was like a mix of Loren, Ryke and Connor combined!!
I love seeing the flashbacks of the cons. With the contrast of them trying to live a true honest life in this small coastal town. Just two besties trying to live their best mystic pizza life. But their sweet simple life doesn’t last long.
The drama, the plot twists, the last 100 pages had me absolutely going through it. It was an emotional rollercoaster. Krista &Becca excel at writing real, raw imperfect characters with chaotic lives and even messier family dynamics. I can’t wait to see what they conjure up next in the series. This book spent a lot of time character and world building which set it up perfectly for the next book. The cliffhanger at the end! I need book two immediately!!
“I’ve always been dishonestly yours. And it looks like that’s not changing.”

to be honest I was a little scared to start this book because addicted/calloway is one of my favorite series ever by the twins so I was kinda scared I wasn’t going to enjoy this book but I did…. Once you start and get into the book it’s really hard to put down.
Phoebe and Rocky have known each other most of their lives due to their families always doing cons together & most of these cons always involve their kids.
I enjoyed the banter and longing between Phoebe and Rocky in true KBR form they did their slow burn so good and I was smiling so hard at the littlest thing Rocky would do for Phoebe. Phoebe and Rocky have always had feelings for each other but never really acted on it due to the fact that their families do cons and didn’t want their families to use the fact they were together for cons.
I think they focused on the cons a little to much and there wasn’t a lot of romance between the characters which I would’ve enjoyed a lot more.
Towards the end KBR had me screaming and crying the plot twists they throw are always insane and I can’t wait to read more of this series
thank you to Berkley romance for the earc <3

Oh, this was so so so brilliant. I truly love Becca and Krista’s writing but this book totally consumed me. The story is a ton of fun and I literally felt like I couldn’t be pried away from these characters no matter what. I was fully invested. And since finishing I desperately wish I had the next book in my hands. Dishonestly Yours is so full of action, tension, mystery and so so so much deliciousness. I truly don’t know what the Ritchie’s put in their books but consider me an honorary Tinrock-Graves sibling, cause I all I want is to be a part of their chaos crew. Like sign me up!!

This was interesting read and I enjoyed this new world that KBR created it did drag a little bit for me but overall I’m intrigued to see where this series goes.

I hate to admit it but this was my first Ritchie book and I'm absolutely OBSESSED! Their writing style is fabulous and their storytelling is even better.
There's so much sexual tension and longing between the two MC's and I ate it the hell up. I loved both of them so freakin much and was rooting for them from the beginning. I was very intrigued with the crime aspect of the story. It made for a really fun and exciting read. I cannot wait to continue on with this series. I need book 2 asap!
Thank you so much to Pan and Netgalley for the e-arc! This bad boy releases on July 2nd so make sure to snatch a copy up.

I haven’t read any books by these authors before so I didn’t no what to expect when going into this, but I am gob smacked, this book has wrecked me🙈
It was a bit slow at first, but when it got into it, it had me hooked, I read in one sitting 🫠
The tension, the drama and the angst had me at the edge of my seat, I had no idea what the outcome would be and when I tell you I screamed at that last chapter😮💨🫠
I love Rocky so much, he’s so protective and will do anything for Phoebe, the love that you can sense between them is so intense and so real, I’m obsessed.
The banter between the two characters was also unmatched! But as I’ve already said the tension takes the cake, it was the best part about this book!
I don’t want to say much in this review as I don’t want to spoil it, but deffo read if you love:
- Grumpy x Grumpy
- Found family
- Best friends Brother
- Hurt her & 💀
- So much tension
- ‘Enemies’ to lovers
I received this book as an ARC, but I am voluntarily leaving a review 😀

This story follows Rocky & Phoebe - two con artists who have been thrown together for as long as they can remember. Real feelings get mixed-in when they are forced to play roles for their jobs & they ultimately decide not to pursue their relationship to avoid either getting hurt. Fast-forward two years later, Phoebe & her best friend Hailey (Rocky’s younger sister), are trying to leave their old life behind for a more honest one. Their plan seems perfect, until they realize Rocky decides to follow them.
This book had SO much potential and I’m a bit disappointed with how it all played out. I loved the mysteriousness of their families; that was one of the selling-points of this book & we got a played a bit since it was so minimized. The closeness of all the kids was something I really did enjoy though “We loved with a love that was more than love.” 🥹🤍
I think that the entire plot line of Jake should have been introduced within the first 10-15 chapters of the book so we could have had that tension between Phoebe and Rocky!!! Almost 70% was just going back & forth with them both explaining reasons they CANT be together; there was literally no “will they or won’t they” aspect here. I also think that 2/4 of the backstories added NOTHING in terms of the plot or depth of the characters relationships. Essentially, I enjoyed the last 30% of the book SO much more than the rest.
Being that it was a cliffhanger ending I will most likely continue this series in hopes that the next one starts off with a bang & is more attention-grabbing than this
Thank you to the authors & Valentine PR for an arc copy 🍓🤍🕷️

I absolutely loved rocky and phoebes story. I felt connected to both characters through out the entire story. I loved the fake dating and slow burn trope. Recently I’ve loved the “con artist” trope and this scratched my itch. It was very well written and flowed nicely for me.
I loved Rocky’s protectiveness of phoebe. I thought it was sweet and added good tension to their relationship. Phoebe and Hailey’s relationship was a testament to true friends.
Over all I loved this story and I’m so excited to read more and find out where rocky and phoebes story goes!

Becca and Krista Ritchie are starting off a new exciting series and it was everything I hoped it would be and more!
There was so much angst and tension, but god was the banter everything. Phoebe and Rocky’s chemistry was off the charts and it made this book so much fun to read. The romance in this book was electric and the growth between Phoebe and Rocky was beautifully done.
Just like the Addicted series, the characters are so complex and flawed but you end up loving everything about them.
I wasn’t sure what to expect going into this book but the Ritchie sisters have proven that they are the best at character dynamics and found family.
The reason the Addicted series is one of my favourites is because of the found family you get throughout the series and to see them carry it into this series makes me so happy and excited for future books!

I think this is the most addicting book I’ve ever read. I could not put it down and when I had to stop reading I just kept thinking about it. There is so many twists and turns, secrets that are uncovered, drama and angst. This follows 2 family of con artists but they only con the evil people of the world. I had no expectations going into this book but I was definitely surprised by how much I loved it. I loved how all of the characters had an inside language with each other and their willing to protect each other no questions asked. That cliffhanger makes me want book 2 immediately. Thank you NetGalley and Valentine Pr for the arc.
Read if you like:

“I’ve always been dishonestly yours.”
Dishonestly yours follows two con artists with complicated feelings for each other wanting to escape their life of lies.
I was honestly really excited for this book and had high hopes. This is my wake up call to stop setting high expectations when I read books 😖
I just didn’t feel like I connected with the main characters well enough to truely enjoy this book. While I was enjoying the plot line and writing style I just wasn’t loving the mc’s. Rocky is my favourite though 🤭 but even then his and Phoebe’s relationship of the will they won’t they started off great and I was LOVING IT. But then it just kept going and I just lost interest in them.
I wish their siblings were in it more because I truely loved reading their dynamic together and they were just a highlight for me. Like Hailey being Phoebes best friend and also Rocky’s sister 👀. BUT in saying this Phoebe and Rocky’s tension 👏👏 mate it was so good that I was rereading their interactions together because I couldn’t get enough of them!! Their push and pull relationship was reeling me in I was INVESTED at first. And just the peaks we got into their past cons together 😮💨🤌🤌
But getting onto the plot. Boy I have never felt more dumb 😂 there’s so many secrets not all of them are even revealed yet and I am DYING TO KNOW THE ANSWERS.
Overall I would say this is a good book and I can see why people enjoy it. BUT it just wasn’t for me personally

💕 Thank you to Valentines pr for giving me early access to read and review this book 💕

this was my first k&br book & so i didn’t know what to expect but wherever it was it delivered!!! the angst was angstying! the tension was tensioning & the plot was plotting!!! i couldn’t love it anymore than i did & im am still in knots that twist cliffy!! ahhhh! new obsession…unlocked!!

I loved this book. The tension? Immaculate. The morally gray everyone? Incredible. The Fizz soda?? Gasped with glee.
I ate this right up, I’m already begging for book two (I’m sorry take your time!!) I wasnt expecting this to end with a cliffhanger, especially THAT one, until I hit about 90% through and started to get really nervous. I will be thinking about these characters regularly, right along with LiLo, Raisy, and Coballoway.

4.75⭐️
Phoebe Graves is determined to escape her life of crime and start fresh with her best friend, Hailey. They settle in a quiet Connecticut town, but Hailey’s handsome brother, Rocky, insists on joining them. While he complicates her plans with his charming but dangerous nature, Phoebe struggles between building a new life and the pull of old habits. Can she resist the temptation, or will her past catch up with her?

Oh wow, this was one unputdownable read! I read the entire thing in three sittings (it would’ve been a single sitting if real life hadn’t interfered).
Having read Krista and Becca Ritchie’s Addicted and Calloway sisters series, which are roughly around ten books, I am very familiar with their writing style and was very confident I’d love this new book of theirs too. And I’m so happy to report that I was right. It was downright ADDICTIVE. I couldn’t stop reading, was immediately invested in this new world they introduced us to and now care more about the characters I literally got to know two days ago than I do about some people I know in real life lol. Anyways, what I wanted to convey is that I’m thoroughly impressed by how much they were able to hook me in with their writing and how they gave us all this new information without it ever feeling like information dumping.
Now, coming to the characters:
Phoebe: I honestly loved her. She’s so fierce, protective and caring, I’d definitely love to have someone like her in my corner. She’s loyal, she’s smart and she’d do anything for the people she loves. I admired all of that so much about her. I also really liked her POV because it showed her vulnerabilities, that she mostly kept hidden.
Rocky: He was one complicated man but I really appreciated that we got his POV and didn’t need to guess what was going on in his head. KB Ritchie have this way of writing main characters that are so different from what I usually read . They’re loitering on this line between good and bad but manage to worm their way into my heart. Even though it’s only book one but Rocky has managed to win me over. He’s snarky but protective AND loving.
“Our hate isn’t real. It’s the armor we carry to shield us from the truth.”
Rocky and Phoebe were explosive together because of their banter, chemistry, them trying to deny/ hold back their feelings for each other but also because of their life long friendship and this deep rooted love they had for each other. It was not your usual romance but it definitely made me feel so much for them.
Hailey: I loved her cinnamon roll personality and it greatly amused me to imagine her goth like look when she was this sweet on the inside. I would’ve loved seeing her more and am really looking forward to seeing more of her in the future books!
Jake: He’s the character I have very mixed feelings about. Whenever someone is this nice, it immediately puts me on alert, I can NEVER trust them. I’m still very curious about him and intrigued by what his future role is going to look like, especially with the way things ended.
Nova, Charlie and Trevor: I loved these three and their different personalities and I definitely wanna know more about them before forming an opinion but I’m excited to have them more involved in the next book (in light of the revelations towards the end of the book)
The pace of the book was towards the slower side but I enjoyed it so much, especially since it was such a fascinating setting with both Phoebe and Rocky belonging to families that con for a living. I loved seeing their past cons, how they were struggling to not go back to their old ways, how they questioned every little thing, it all kept me turning pages. Things kept getting more and more interesting and the last 10% of the book had me on the edge of my seat. The adrenaline rush was REAL.
I was also just generally invested because the premise, characters, plot, romance, everything was so unique and different from everything I’ve read so far. It was a breath of fresh air.
Overall, I really enjoyed this introductory novel into a new world (and new characters) that I’m ready to fall head over heels for!
I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a new series to obsess over, with lots of banter and tension, childhood friends to lovers romance, slightly darker themes, lots of mystery, complicated family dynamics and a super unique setting with both the main characters belonging to con artist families. It’s definitely a page turner!

A huge thank you to Valentine PR, Krista & Becca Ritchie, Netgalley and Berkley for sending me an arc in exchange for an honest review. I’m so honoured!
