this was so entertaining and unique!! I’ve only read a few kbr books, but I can tell that their brains operate in such a unique and original way compared to other mainstream contemporary literature. while I do think parts of this book felt a little clunky, the potential for a stellar series is absolutely there.
rocky and phoebe have me SAT. they are hot!!! I am not super emotionally connected to them just yet because a lot of their connection relies on their implied (and sometimes shown) past. however, rocky’s feelings had me in a puddle on the floor. the level of trust they have in one another and how they are very much partners in crime (literally and figuratively) has me rooting so hard for them.

I found "Dishonesty Yours" to be a bit disappointing. While the final portion had some captivating moments, the rest of the book fell short of its potential. The characters were its strongest aspect, particularly Rocky, who stood out brilliantly. However, the overall tone was overwhelmingly bleak, which made it difficult to fully engage with the story. Despite my anticipation, the book didn't deliver the complexity I was hoping for. While I appreciate morally ambiguous characters and emotional depth, "Dishonesty Yours" lacked variation and felt excessively long in its gloominess. The romance subplot was passable, and I enjoyed the nods to "Supernatural," but these elements weren't enough to elevate the overall experience for me.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me to review this book.

kbr literally can never write a bad book. this was everything and i will be re reading it ASAP. i just knew i’d be obsessed with this and i am

Thank you Berkley & Netgalley for the free e-arc in exchange for an honest review! <333
I had such a good time with this read, I was a little nervous going into it first because this is the first Krista & Becca Ritchie book that's not related to the "Addicted verse."
Regardless I was interested in reading this book because of the "Con-artist" starting a new life plot and hehehe, I was not disappointed!
The drama and thrill of this book was so enticing, I was literally gobbling this book up. Entertainment at its prime. And might I even throw in the word, "Addicting"
Phoebe is such a great FMC, who despite her terrible upbringing is doing the best she can. I literally fell in love with her character as soon as we met her and I truly cannot wait to see more of her!!
Rocky, my mans. This man is SOOOOOO fine. I was rooting for him too, despite his "hard shell" he is such a romantic at heart. And I cannot wait to see more of it.
Now I know that y'all are here for the drama and plot and I will obviously share what I can. I personally found it enjoyable, seeing how Phoebe, Hailey, Rockey, and the others ;) were raised was fulfilling to the plot.
The ending had my jaw dropped even though I knew it was coming!
I hate Addison SM (IYKYK)
Krista and Becca both did such an incredible job with this book, as a fan of their previous work as well. I look forward to seeing what's in store for this series next! If you've enjoyed KBR's work in the past, I have no doubt that like me you'll enjoy this book.
I'm intrigued to see more of these characters and will def be reading all future books within the series!
(I also need Hailey to get a book of her own, PLEASE!!!)

I absolutely devoured this! I love the different aspects of it and the angst! The found family has to be my favorite! As i was reading I just felt like I was in this amazing friend group that cared for each other no matter what. I loved how the plot was gripping with the aspect of them being scammers. The chapters that went back in time to tell us stories of past scams were so interesting! I’m so ready for book 2 cause that was a CLIFF HANGER!! My jaw was on the floor when i realized the next page was the acknowledgments. Krista & Becca this story was amazing and I’m so ready to read more of the characters!
Rocky and Phoebe have a spark like no other and have been in each other’s life forever. They have lived their lives as scammers taught by their parents. Phoebe and her best friend decide to clean themselves of scamming after a scam goes south and start living a clean life. Rocky joins them being the protective big brother for Hailey, but what he is to Phoebe is a lot more complicated. As they try to start this new honest life in Connecticut they experience life from a different viewpoint with all new challenges.

Could not get through this one fast enough!! I was so intrigued and on the edge of my seat the entire time. Looking forward to more!

I loved it.
First of all, Phoebe turned out to be a remarkably relatable character. I found myself connecting with her on a personal level. I enjoyed her relationship with Hailey and how deep they cared for each other.
The banter between Phoebe and Rocky provided moments of genuine amusement. Their moments of emotional turmoil, coupled with their undeniable affection for one another, were particularly poignant.
The entire friend group, in fact, captivated my interest. Each member possesses an aura of intrigue, and I yearn to delve deeper into their lives.
Let’s not forget about Jake, who in particular, piqued my curiosity. I’m eager to learn more about him.
In essence, this book offers a captivating narrative, weaving together elements of mystery, angst, romance, and the unique charm of a small-town setting. I seriously can’t wait for the next installment in the series.

I love the concept of a family of con artists, including the heists, cons, and fun shenanigans. The eerie start to the book immediately hooks you, leaving you wondering what's going to happen, and there is so much angst and tension that really adds to the book. It was like one big found family of heists and getaway cars.

Phoebe is just so smart and interesting. She plays her role so well, yet we see the darker and sadder side of the things she's forced and grew up doing and how that affected her. Rocky is just so grumpy and cynical, but also so sweet and protective, and will do anything for her and his family. Their relationship dynamic was so fun to watch them slowly fall for each other and become each other's comfort. I thought their relationship was so sweet and well done. This book is so fun, page-turning, and I hope to see more of them in the series as it continues.
“I’ve always been dishonestly yours. And it looks like that’s not changing.”
The tension crackles in this tale, wrapped in layers of angst, chemistry, and the intoxicating dance of deception. Initially hesitant, I wasn’t sure how a story about two con artists would unfold, but the narrative revealed a fascinating twist: they'd lie and deceive everyone except each other. Deceiving and lying were their natural instincts, yet when it came to their feelings for each other, they’d always been honest and true. They wouldn’t act on their feelings, but it had always been there.
“Divorced?” I whispered to Phoebe. “What happened to wanting to live honestly?”
“I honestly feel like you’re my ex-husband.”
Rocky and Phoebe’s relationship and dynamic were intoxicating. The angst, tension, chemistry, and banter were everything! I loved these two so much, and I felt so much for them. They had a weird but strong bond. I loved how protective they both were of those they loved. I loved how they didn’t lie about their feelings even if they fought against them and believed it wouldn’t be possible to turn into something.
"Rocky and I, together, are a volcanic eruption. One that’ll never end, not until the whole world is coated in magma."
Given that this is the first book in the series, it had a lot of background information to cover that made the plot a little slower at times; but it overall kept me on the edge of my seat and especially after the ending had me gasping; I can't wait for future books you'll definitely see me picking up the next book.
Thank you so much to NetGalley and Berkley for the arc in exchange for an honest review!

If you like fast-paced, messy, con artist families and relationships then you should give this a try. I did not really enjoy this book but I think others especially fans of the author's other works will have a good time with this one. I liked the plot, the con artist world but unfortunately, i didn't think it panned out in a way that I liked with the characters. I would still recommend this book, the writing is good and there's action, tension, and steam though it just wasn't for me. Thank you Berkley for this arc for an honest review.

Thank you so much netgalley, Berkley, and Krista & Becca for this advanced readers ebook! This is one of my favorite tropes and I can’t wait for release day!

Thank you, NetGalley and Berkeley Publishing for this ARC. I truly enjoy Krista and Becca Richie’s writing. I read through their addicted series and enjoyed every minute of it. This new series had definitely taken me for a wild ride and it’s fantastic. This book is everything that I love it has great relatable characters , humor, mystery, suspense, romance, and spice, it has it all. I only wish the entire series was available for purchase right now. I highly recommend all the books that Krista and Becca Richie write and this book is definitely on the top of my list. I will continue to read all of their books !

I was so hyped to get my hands on this book by the Richie sisters. The premise sounded so fresh and unlike anything I've ever read. The first few chapters had me totally hooked, dying to find out what went down in that job that made them quit being con artists and why Phoebe and Rocky weren't already a thing. I thought it had the potential to be a 5-star read. But dang, I was wrong. I'm so bummed that I didn't enjoy it. I just couldn't connect with the characters, you know? Maybe as more books in the series come out, that connection will grow. It's such a letdown because I'm a huge fan of the addicted series

I loved the idea of this book more than its execution. I never fully connected to either of the main characters and found Phoebe especially to be immature and not that likable. Rocky is a bit all over the place with his thoughts and the way he acts, so I can’t say I was 100% behind their supposed chemistry. I would’ve appreciated more moments with them connecting now, instead of being told how in love they were with each other through flashbacks and past jobs they went on. I was expecting excitement and thrill from them being con artists, but none of that played a real part in where the characters are at now in their lives, so it ended up feeling pointless and disjointed in the end. I wanted to like this, but it just fell flat for me unfortunately.

I hadn't read anything by these authors prior. While, this wasn't one of my favorite reads, I do believe several of our library patrons will fall in love!

I honestly did love the addicted series and I think I need to give it another try after finishing this book! I really did love this book so much, it was hard because my brothers name is Braedon so the name block was hard for me but the nickname helped so much!
The plot, the characters everything was just how I expected and ate it up non the less! I'm having trouble putting my thoughts into words because this was truly like any book I've ever read. I love Becca and Kristina's ability to create amazing, realistic characters that leaves the reader able to relate.
Reading any of their books feels like a cozy home but this one in-particularly. Definitely a must read in my book!!!

Okay so this book is about a family of con artists so at first I was like ewww because nobody likes con artists right? But then I realized they were forced into this by family and that the people they con are often elites who are horrible people, so then I was like okay maybe I can get behind this. 😂
There were a lot of characters so at first I was a little confused, but this is going to be a series, so that will definitely be easier over time, that’s the only reason for my one star deduction.
Other than that, I really enjoyed the story, I think that the 2nd book will be even better, because the last 100 pages had so much going on and left on a cliffhanger.
There were also flashbacks throughout the book to their younger lives and previous cons which I really enjoyed and helped to provide background of their relationships.
Also the chemistry between Phoebe and Rocky was through the roof!! Can’t wait to see more of them in the future.

“I’ve always been dishonestly yours. And it looks like that’s not changing.”
The angst. The tension. The chemistry. The banter. This was so good!!
At first I was hesitant because a story about two con artists is sure to be filled with lying and deceiving and I wasn’t sure how that would work out, but the thing is those two would lie and deceive everyone except each other and that was everything to me. Deceiving and lying is their natural instinct, but when it comes to their feelings towards each other they’ve always been honest and true. I loved how they didn’t lie about their feelings even if they fought against them and believed it won’t be possible to turn into something.
The beginning was kinda slow, but the story was so interesting and enjoyable to read. The characters were flawed and three dimensional. I loved them all, and ugh I hate their parents so much!! But that bond and the found family trope was everything.
Rocky and I, together, are a volcanic eruption. One that’ll never end, not until the whole world is coated in magma.
The last ten percent was crazy and the ending got me feeling so mad that I don’t have the second book! I grew so emotionally attached to those characters and their journey and I desperately want more. This was such a ride and it truly have potential to turn into a really enjoyable series.

Huge Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for providing this copy.

This landed somewhere between 2 and 2.5 stars for me. I loved the concept and thought it started off well enough. Two members of two elaborate con-families wanting to move to a small coastal time to live a normal, crime-less life. However, pretty early on I started having issues. For people who have been committing crimes, especially crimes of deception, for almost their whole lives, they were honestly terrible about hiding their feelings. So many inappropriate (and frankly unrealistic) conversations happening, especially with Rocky and Phoebe. The first landlord scene was true standout. But truly, I don't know if I have been less invested in a main couple than I was with Rocky and Phoebe by the end. The "tension" was not well-written and the psuedo-love triangle was poorly handled.
However, I really did like all the siblings, I liked the town and I liked various other small aspects of the story. It's why I didn't DNF. It just felt like it kept missing the mark when given the opportunity to hit it.

OH MY GOD???? krista and becca ritchie areMOTHER. i love love love the addicted series with my entire being so i was definitely nervous to start a new series but i was nervous for no reason!!! the two of them are so great at creating a world and sucking you deep into it. i LOVED this romance and story and I'm desperate for more! i cannot wait for the next one especially after this cliffhanger!!

This was... fine. The story started off strong enough but lost its steam and some of the plot. To me, it felt like it jumped to SO many tropes. to throw a few out there, forbidden romance, best friends' brother and fake dating. The fake dating one came completely out of left field and was over as quick as it happened. Pacing was off, and parts felt really choppy between Rocky and Pheobe. I can't say I would continue this series, even with the huge cliffhanger.
