I couldn't expect less by my queens KBR. Addictive read, amazing characters and incredible writing style!!
Dishonestly Yours by Krista & Becca Ritchie absolutely blew me away! As a huge fan of swoon worthy love stories and mystery, this book brought everything I love about romance and drama into one incredible story. The connection between Phoebe and Rocky is electric from the start. Every scene is charged with tension, and the chemistry between them is undeniable.
Rocky, in particular, stole my heart. His complexity, his charm, and the way he navigates his relationship with Phoebe kept me hooked. Their banter, the push and pull—it's all so intense and emotional. The way the authors build up their relationship makes you root for them while keeping you on the edge of your seat.
This is a must-read for anyone who loves a perfect blend of passion, drama, and unforgettable characters. Highly recommended!
Phoebe Graves is a protagonist you can’t help but root for. Raised in a world where lies and schemes were everyday occurrences, her desire to start fresh in a small Connecticut town feels both urgent and fragile. The town, with its quaint charm, seems like the perfect place for Phoebe and her best friend Hailey to leave their past behind—until Rocky, Hailey’s infuriatingly attractive older brother, enters the picture.
Rocky is the epitome of the bad boy you know you shouldn’t want but can’t help being drawn to. His complicated history with Phoebe adds tension and heat to the story, making every interaction between them charged with unresolved feelings and unspoken truths. While Phoebe is determined to leave behind the dishonesty of her past, Rocky’s presence is a constant reminder of the life she’s trying to escape. Yet, as the story unfolds, it becomes clear that Rocky isn’t just a temptation—he might be the key to understanding what it really means to live honestly.
Dishonestly Yours is a gripping, emotionally charged romance that will keep readers hooked from start to finish. The dynamic between Phoebe and Rocky is electric, filled with the kind of tension that makes for a truly unforgettable love story.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced review copy.
I read these authors' Calloways series years ago and loved them, and I was excited to read about some new characters from them. Unfortunately, this book was a bit of a disappointment. I found the characters really frustrating and never grew to like any of them. I also found Rocky and Phoebe's relationship frustrating. This book was also very long for a romance, and I felt like it dragged a lot. I assumed it would be a series of standalones, as well, so I was not a fan of the cliffhanger at the end.
I love heist centered stories and this was a fun one to read!
With cool cast of characters and unique dynamics this author duo centifies itself as a favorite for me. They never disappoint and I am excited to continue this series in the future
I’m a huge fan os the addictive and Calloway sister so I had really high hopes for this new series.
Unfortunately, because of that, I really fell disappointed.
The characters aren’t bad, but it looked like anything happen in the whole book, and maybe that has to do with being the first one in the series and introducing the new world and the characters but sill…

if there's one thing krista and becca ritchie do best, it's the found family trope. if you're having withdrawals from the addicted series characters, then the characters of "dishonestly yours" are the cure. they're all as equally lovable AND intriguing.
the pacing of the plot and the relationship pairing was pretty solid-- i found myself immersed into the story relatively quickly. in "dishonestly yours", we are following two families of con-artists: the tinrocks and the graves. when the two daughters from both families, phoebe and hailey, run off to start a new life in a small town as an attempt to quit their deceitful lifestyle, chaos ensues. i'm already itching for the next book, as KBR left us on a serious cliffhanger.

I found this to be extremely entertaining. It wasn't what I thought it would be going in, but I still really liked it despite that. The characters are cute and I love their sort of but not really found family situation. Their parents suck. Most of their jobs suck--they got real weird real fast. I thought this was a standalone so I was surprised when I found out, about three fourths in, that it wasn't. I'll be keeping an eye out on the sequel because I really need to know the deal with the younger brother (Trevor? I can't remember 100%).
It’s been a long time since I’ve had a book hook me from the beginning. The storyline was different and refreshing since it was nothing like anything I have ever read before. There was tension, conflict, romance and so much more. It definitely gives a CW show + Gilmore girls vibes, so if you like those vibes then this is the book for you! I enjoyed this book because I never knew what was going to happen. I loved the dual POV, and there was a lot of diversity in the chapters, especially with the different settings and the flashbacks. The ending???? That’s a secret I’ll never tell, but I need to second book immediately!!!
The main characters of the novel are Phoebe and Rocky and their chemistry is so electric! The tension between them will have you on the edge of your seat and the dedication they have for one another is strong. Every character had an important role and I can’t wait to learn more about each of them in the next book in the series!
FIRST KBR BOOK!!! was so excited to read this, i never read the addicted series or the spin offs and was sooooo excited to be able to experience a new kbr book without feeling like I was missing something.
This was fun and I absolutely understand the lore of their writing now and need to go back and read their other works

I actually really adored this one!! I personally felt it was such a perfect read after Magnolia Parks. And cured my book hangover instantly 💋
Rocky gives me big BJ Ballentine vibes. And I couldn’t be happier for that. He knows where his heart lies and who holds it. And the history alone between him and Phoebe just sucked me in.
Phoebe is a girl that has more shadows surrounding her than anyone realizes and still has the black cat energy that we all love and adore. She is my favorite type of fmc. Funny, and caring, and sassy and capable but still loves so hard through her brokenness.
The whole friend group dynamic made my heart happy. And the plot kept me on my toes and pleasantly surprised me at every turn.
I felt like this was a perfect mix between pretty little liars and oceans 11. And if you read it, you’ll know what I mean.
But this book for the cover, stayed and fell in love with the plot.
10/10 recommend. And will impatiently be awaiting the next book 😩
This was honestly a lot of fun to read.
I never got into their other series because the addiction aspect was not for me, but this one pleasantly surprised me. I'm not usually one for found family either, but this book felt like a warm hug with toxic characters who would burn the world down for each other.
Throw in some con-artists + childhood friends to lovers + a splash of "I can't let myself fall for you" and you've pretty much summed up this book. There was never a dull moment and we went out with a BANG at the end. Can’t wait for the next one!!

The most amazing start to a series but alas, what else could be expected from Krista and Becca Ritchie? Beautiful characters and beautiful storyline.
Honestly, I couldn't finish this book, I could not get into it.
It follows two best friends who are former con-artists, Phoebe and Hailey, . After their last job goes bad they decided to move to a small town to live a quiet life away from their families who are also con-artists, however, Hailey's older brother, Rocky finds them. The flashbacks of the past jobs felt pointless and didn't seem to add anything in my opinion. Phoebe and Hailey end up with jobs at the local country club while Rocky decides to stay in town as well, there seems to be some feelings between Phoebe and Rocky.
It felt slow paced and didn't catch or hold my attention.
“Rocky and I, together, are a volcanic eruption.
One that'll never end, not until the whole world is coated in magma.”
4.5⭐️ Wow was this first book jam packed with suspense, heat, secrets, and a great story line. I love K&B’s writing and this story delivered. Rocky and Phoebe are soulmates. These two have grown up together, have been through so much and always at the end of the day it’s these two against the world. The angst and tension between these two was so good. I was cheering them on the entire time because they deserve to be together and their happily ever after. They come from two families of con artists and it’s time for things to change. You really get to know not only these two but their siblings and their past. Phoebe and her best friend Hailey have decided to step away from their life of conning and try to live a different life in another state. Rocky of course follows along and it is quite the adventure for all of them. All the twists and turns had me not knowing what was going to come next. I loved Rocky and Phoebe together and I’m so ready for more of them. I am addicted to them like they are each other. I’m so excited to see where this series goes!
I don’t think this book was for me. The writing wasn’t my favorite and this felt very YA and immature at times. I was so sad bc so many ppl loved this one! The cliffhanger at the end made it more interesting but overall I wasn’t the biggest fan of the plot and characters and writing.
Thank you so much to NetGalley and Berkeley Publishing for this arc.
After absolutely loving the Addicted/Calloway Sisters series, I was really excited to jump into this new KB Ritchie world, but it fell super flat for me.
I felt like there was simultaneously too much going on with side stories and flashbacks while other areas dragged and were a chore to get through. There were also a lot of characters/family members introduced, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing and it’s kind of what this duo is known for, but in this particular setting, it didn’t work for me. I wasn’t near as invested enough in each of the new characters as I could/should have been, and it left me feeling board with the progression of the story.
I like the idea of this crime family full of con artists and I appreciated where Phoebe and Hailey’s story was trying to go, but the execution of it all just didn’t pan out.
I wouldn’t be opposed to reading the next installment of the series, but I plan to go in with expectations low.
I’m going to be honest…I’m a little disappointed with Dishonestly Yours. The premise was super interesting and I always love a childhood friends to enemies to lovers storyline. However, I feel like Rocky and Phoebe’s relationship was barely built upon and I never felt an emotional connection between the two of them. In one of the flashbacks, we know Rocky is actively having relations with other women - but the minute Phoebe might be fake dating some other man, Rocky finally thinks he may have lost her??? So he can sleep around but she can’t even pretend to date someone who’s just trying to make their family mad?? I also feel like nothing really happened plot wise until the cliff hanger. Looking back, Dishonestly Yours was boring and had little to no relationship, character, or plot development.
Thank you to NetGalley, Berkley, and the author for sending me an early copy.
