Honestly, I couldn't finish this book, I could not get into it.
It follows two best friends who are former con-artists, Phoebe and Hailey, . After their last job goes bad they decided to move to a small town to live a quiet life away from their families who are also con-artists, however, Hailey's older brother, Rocky finds them. The flashbacks of the past jobs felt pointless and didn't seem to add anything in my opinion. Phoebe and Hailey end up with jobs at the local country club while Rocky decides to stay in town as well, there seems to be some feelings between Phoebe and Rocky.
It felt slow paced and didn't catch or hold my attention.

“Rocky and I, together, are a volcanic eruption.
One that'll never end, not until the whole world is coated in magma.”
4.5⭐️ Wow was this first book jam packed with suspense, heat, secrets, and a great story line. I love K&B’s writing and this story delivered. Rocky and Phoebe are soulmates. These two have grown up together, have been through so much and always at the end of the day it’s these two against the world. The angst and tension between these two was so good. I was cheering them on the entire time because they deserve to be together and their happily ever after. They come from two families of con artists and it’s time for things to change. You really get to know not only these two but their siblings and their past. Phoebe and her best friend Hailey have decided to step away from their life of conning and try to live a different life in another state. Rocky of course follows along and it is quite the adventure for all of them. All the twists and turns had me not knowing what was going to come next. I loved Rocky and Phoebe together and I’m so ready for more of them. I am addicted to them like they are each other. I’m so excited to see where this series goes!

I don’t think this book was for me. The writing wasn’t my favorite and this felt very YA and immature at times. I was so sad bc so many ppl loved this one! The cliffhanger at the end made it more interesting but overall I wasn’t the biggest fan of the plot and characters and writing.
Thank you so much to NetGalley and Berkeley Publishing for this arc.

After absolutely loving the Addicted/Calloway Sisters series, I was really excited to jump into this new KB Ritchie world, but it fell super flat for me.
I felt like there was simultaneously too much going on with side stories and flashbacks while other areas dragged and were a chore to get through. There were also a lot of characters/family members introduced, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing and it’s kind of what this duo is known for, but in this particular setting, it didn’t work for me. I wasn’t near as invested enough in each of the new characters as I could/should have been, and it left me feeling board with the progression of the story.
I like the idea of this crime family full of con artists and I appreciated where Phoebe and Hailey’s story was trying to go, but the execution of it all just didn’t pan out.
I wouldn’t be opposed to reading the next installment of the series, but I plan to go in with expectations low.

I’m going to be honest…I’m a little disappointed with Dishonestly Yours. The premise was super interesting and I always love a childhood friends to enemies to lovers storyline. However, I feel like Rocky and Phoebe’s relationship was barely built upon and I never felt an emotional connection between the two of them. In one of the flashbacks, we know Rocky is actively having relations with other women - but the minute Phoebe might be fake dating some other man, Rocky finally thinks he may have lost her??? So he can sleep around but she can’t even pretend to date someone who’s just trying to make their family mad?? I also feel like nothing really happened plot wise until the cliff hanger. Looking back, Dishonestly Yours was boring and had little to no relationship, character, or plot development.
Thank you to NetGalley, Berkley, and the author for sending me an early copy.

They were tender and sweet, simultaneously chaotic and framed in a plot that always left me wondering what came next. I was curious to see how the twins would break away from the Addicted universe, but they did quite well with this new start.

This was my first experience with Krista and Becca, and my first complaint is: What was that ending? How dare you! 🫠
🕸 A beautiful "found family" book, where there's a strong relationship of trust between the Graves and the Tinrock siblings, about how they were forced into the world of crime without being given the chance to choose.
💞 Phoebe and Hailey's friendship is wonderful. They protect, support, and love each other. They put their friendship before everything, even their family, and the way they understood each other just by exchanging glances was adorable.
❤️🔥 Rocky and Phoebe have incredible chemistry. They've been friends since childhood, and they're in love with each other, but they can't be together.
I loved the tension and intimacy between them. Their desire to get involved was so strong that at certain moments, I felt anxious. 🤭🤭
It was a beautiful grumpy vs. grumpy 🫠
♡I'd love the next book to have everyone's POV because it's going to be intense.
♡ What web of lies will we discover? What does the future hold for the Graves and the Tinrock siblings?
I want to thank @valentine_pr_ and @kbmritchie for this fantastic opportunity, and I can't wait to read the next one 😍😍
P.S. The Winchester thing has my heart 😍

*screaming, crying, dying* OH MY GOD, OH MY GODDDD! Eeee I got the ARC!😭💗 I have heard so many great things about the authors who wrote the Addicted series, which I haven't gotten the time to read yet. But this will be my first book by these authors, and honestly, I'm way too excited to read this that I'm even ditching all my crs once again😍💖 If I love this, maybe, you never know, I will end up binge-reading the Addicted series next month after this book🤭🤞🏻💕
Thank you Valentine PR, Berkley & the Authors for sending me an advanced reader copy!💞

Wow ! The suspense the drama the plot the slow burn the fake it til u make it vibes ! The banter the con and angst !! The start over ! Find urself tropes ! Ugh this book was great !! It ended in a suspenseful way! Cnt wait to read what happens next !!!

Super cute read! This was my first by this author and won’t be my last. Looking forward to the next in the series

I really enjoyed this book, but I also felt like there were a lot of plot holes because I was going into this thinking. It was a standalone little that I know that this is going to be a series and ending on a cliffhanger. I really enjoyed the behind-the-scenes of their house, as well as the fact that they have a lot of Backstory specifically the two families as well as the two main characters. I think this is the first time I read a book where it has dual timeline that I’ve actually thoroughly enjoyed it. I feel like I will never be able to look at the 🕷️ the same again.

What a great read of the summer this book has been! I loved Phoebe and Rocky! Krista and Becca did not disappoint in creating a romance story like no other. Something like I've never read before. I loved the con artist main characters.
This book hit all of my favorite tropes:
Childhood friends to lovers
Forced Proximity
Best Friends Brother
Found Family
Morally Grey Characters
Definitely a must read, can't wait for more in the series to be released!

Dishonestly Yours by Krista & Becca Richie
4 STARS
I got this one as an arc from the publisher months ago but then time got away from me and it released. Since it was out in the world I decided to listen to it and then half way through I knew I needed the paperback.
First, I wasn’t really sure how to feel about it, if you know me and this book. I felt like the older sister when the younger sister is getting picked on like no you can’t pick on her, only I can! Which I think this was why I struggled with really getting into the story.
BUT ONCE I DID, as I kept listening/reading I was really, really enjoying the story and the character. It’s unlike any story I have read before and soon I wasn’t able to put it down. I needed to keep going, really rooting for both Phoebe and Rocky, and I was HERE for slow burn of it!
Can’t wait for the next book in the series!

I barely read these authors for the first time less than 2 months ago when I devoured their Addicted World books. They have such a unique way that they write and connect characters, and I immediately recognized that in this book.
This book follows two lifelong con artists, Phoebe and Rocky, as they navigate their way through some much needed changes. A con gone bad has led Phoebe to want out of the game, and Rocky is just trying to understand what, and why.
I like the back-and-forth timeline, getting glimpses of them running cons as kids, teenagers, etc. They were raised by what seems like a commune of con artists so it's all they've ever known. What's unique in their situation however is that they all (the kids) seemed to care about one another. While their parents are running schemes, they've become a family of kids trying to make sense of it all. Most of this book is about giving the backstory and building up a world that's almost impossible to wrap your head around.
This book has strong family vibes like the Addicted world did, and delivers some deep deep devotion amongst it's characters which I loved. The romance between Phoebe and Rocky is a secondary character in the grand scheme of the story. It's a "she falls first" situations that's blossomed out of them being forced to run cons as a couple. They share plenty of firsts between them. It's a slow burn, reluctant love situation where emotions are questioned, yet at the end of the day these two show true devotion in the only way that matters: "showing up" for one another.
This book is the first in a series that I imagine with follow multiple characters and love stories, and I'm looking forward to diving into all of them.

🍓 My thoughts 🍓
This was my first time ever reading something by this author duo and I just have to let you know that it won't be my last time reading one of their books because this was truly captivating and amazing.
Already from the beginning it had me instantly hooked and I didn't wanna put it down unless it wasn't necessary because I just needed to know how the story was gonna play out.
The writing was amazing and the story easy to follow. The characters was easy to like and I did enjoy their journey. Now I just can't wait to know what will happen next because of the ending.
From this book you can expect bantern, angst, tension, will they won't they vibes, best friend's brother and great chemistry to name a few.
Thank you so much for letting me read this amazing book and I can't wait to find out what will happen next 😍.

I really will read anything written by KBR! This book was the perfect mix of serious plot and sweet, angsty romance. I don’t think I’ve ever read a romance between a con family so I was interested! It was twisty and definitely kept me guessing. It was the perfect set up to a series and I’m interested to see how the next books play out!

I don't think there is another couple who can hold a candle to my babies Lily and Lo (AND Rose and Connor) from the Addicted series, but Krista and Becca Ritchie's first book in their new series, Dishonestly Yours, was one of my most anticipated reads of the year nonetheless, and I had a great time reading it. Dishonestly Yours is a tangled web of delicious drama, deceit, and a history that runs deep between the two main characters and their families. I loved the concept of two con-artists families that work together. Also, he's her best friend's brother. The scandal, right? I'm going to eat that right up. Of course, our two mains were denying their feelings for each other for the majority of the book, which can be annoying for some readers. However, what I will always swoon over is a man who will burn the world down for his girl. Rocky is that man. Plus, the plot thickens so much at the end. Things gets messy! I had my popcorn out and I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see how everything would turn out. That makes Dishonestly Yours a win in my book! Also, when reading the Authors' Note, I found out that this book was a concept that Krista and Becca came up with when they were 14. Imagine making your teenaged dream really come true! To me, that makes this book even more special. I cannot wait for the next book in the series!
Thank you to Berkley, Krista and Becca Ritchie, and Netgalley for the advanced digital copy.
Dishonestly Yours is out now!

Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for an e-arc!
I really enjoyed reading Dishonestly Yours; it was a very captivating book. The characters, relationships, and premise were all quite enjoyable. The concept as a whole was quite interesting and original. I loved the characters' attempts to escape that world and the aspect of con artists. There were many complex, intriguing and intense moments. I have a strong feeling that this will be an excellent series!!

The premise of this book was extremely enticing but the plot fell a little flat. I was really excited to read something with a unique romance plot. The characters didn’t really have a strong romantic connection and I couldn’t really connect with the characters. The writing was really good.

Thank you Netgalley and Berkley Publishing for the advanced copy! I was also lucky enough to snag a physical and it is gorgeous! This was the first book I have read by Krista Ritchie and Becca Ritchie, and I loved it. I cannot wait to read more by them!
