I love any books by the Ritchie sisters! I've absolutely devoured their Addicted series and was so excited for this new series!
Dishonestly Yours was an amazing start to a new romance series. I love the con-artist twist! I can't wait to see where the rest of the series goes from here!

I absolutely loved this story. This is my first book by these authors, and I was hooked immediately. I love a good heist/band of criminals storyline and I found myself rooting for them BIG. When you fond out all of the hidden truths that their parents have hidden from them or tricked them into believing…. My heart was broken for them over and over again. I loved the closeness of the group and the tension was THICK. The back and forth between Rocky and Phoebe was both infuriating and sexy as all get out. The ending about did me in and I am definitely needing to know what happens next.

I highly recommend this one

This was my first read by @kbmritchie and it didn’t disappoint! Their books have been on my radar for along time now and I am glad I started off with their latest book.

This book is definitely a different type of romance that I’ve read. It follows a pair of con artists, Phoebe and Hailey, trying to leave the family business of con arting. Haileys older brother, Rocky, ends up coming a long and the very thick sexual tension between Phoebe and him can be cut with a butter knife. These two really just need to bang it out and get it over with. But more then just the sexual tension they have, they genuinely know and understand each other. I came to understand why their were afraid to cross a line in the first place.

The book starts off slow but then really takes off! The scheming is kinda wild, past and present. And the ending was mind blowing!!! Can’t wait to read the next installment!!

Well I have loved reading Becca and Krista Ritchie ever since Addicted to You. I knew I would get some angst and boy, did we ever.

Phoebe and Hailey are BFFs that are like sisters. Their moms have been best friends since they were younger and have a “business” that involves both families. After an incident at their last job, Phoebe and Hailey decide to stick it out on their own. Heading to the Victoria, Connecticut, Hailey’s brother, Rocky goes with them. Since all of their lives they have been together, Phoebe is finding it hard to find that break she so desperately needs – a chance to have roots and normalcy. Rocky is everything that she shouldn’t want but she can’t help the attraction. It’s always been there. And Rocky, well he would pretty much do anything to help Phoebe, even if that meant letting her live a normal, quiet life. But life is always full of twists and turns that you never see coming.

This book has everything: angst, secrets, deception, and love. The last part of the book is holy plot twist! So what happens? You’ll have to one-click to find out. Can’t wait to see what happens next.

Thank you to Netgalley and Berkley for the opportunity to read and review this book.

*arc review*

for the first in a new series, krista and becca did an excellent job setting up this brand new universe with these new characters. the entire premise revolving around 2 con artist families is something new and exciting to bring to the romance genre.

phoebe and rocky have known each other their entire lives. their mothers have been best friends for decades and have raised their families together to become con artists. even as children, they were forced by their parents to help run a con. they’ve never stayed in one place permanently, and they’ve never used real names.

when rocky’s sister, hailey, decides she no longer wants to live the con life, phoebe decides to join her and the two set forth to an east coastal town to officially begin their new lives. rocky decides to join them to make sure they will be ok when they get settled. once there, they meet jake, the rich boy who’s family owns the whole town. jake hated phoebe and saw right through her, making for some great banter. he also seemed to have a thing for hailey making me wonder if they will be set up for future books.

the conflict in this story came from 2 sides. one with jake and the phoebe trying to get acclimated to the town and the country club she now works at. and the other conflict of trying to dodge their families. both families are very adamant that they set up the next con, and the girls don’t want them finding out where they are. there are several other brothers involved, so i just know this is going to set up to be a great addicted/calloway sisters esque found family series.

4/5 stars

*thanks to netgalley and valentine pr for sending me an arc!

I was so excited to see KBR create this new universe, but I was also a bit nervous. As someone who loves the addicted/calloway sister series, I hadn’t read anything else by them. However, even though it took me a while to get into this book. I’m so glad that I read it. I really liked the characters, and I found myself really invested in the plot. I do wish that there was a bit more romance, because I, thought that it focused a little bit too much on the con aspect of the book and plot line. Overall, I’m really excited for a book too to see where KBR takes this series!

I was extremely exited to read this, having loved Krista & Becca's previous work. While I wanted to love this more than I did, this was still a fun read. I think a lot of people will like this, it's a fun, fast, and very binge-able read.

“Rocky and I, together, are a volcanic eruption. One that’ll never end, not until the whole world is coated in magma.”

This is the first book in a new series called the Webs We Weave. These sisters are known for there Addicted & Calloway sister series which most people I know have loved both series. I promise this book won’t disappoint.

“Divorce?” I whispered to Phoebe. “ What happened to wanting to live honestly.?””I honestly feel like you’re my ex husband.”

In this book we are following Phoebe & Rocky which are the love interest but we also get to read about there siblings. The plot in this book is so unique and i say that because I never read about grifting in a book . Grifting means someone who swindles people out of money through fraud . Thats how both family have raised there children thats how there parents have always provided for them and raised them to do . Phoebe and Rocky have known eachother their whole lives. In Jobs they have played BF & GF, and have pretended to be married and much more. They have always liked one another but never acted on those feelings because of their parents. Hailey which is Rockys sister but Phoebe best friend decides she want to live a honestly life and leave the family grifting without telling there parents . They lie to there parents and basically have Rocky cover for them .
Rocky has never trusted there parents .

“Believe nothing you hear, and only half of what you see.”

Through out this book you feel the tension , the want and need Rocky and Phoebe have for one another but refuse to give in. There chemistry is off the chart ! She wants a fresh start but can’t picture it without Rocky in it. Ive wanted them together since Rocky POV. They have this great banter between eachother. The last 15 precent of the book had my mouth hanging and I can’t wait to see how book 2 is going to go . Things were messy but there about to get even messier.

Thank you Valentine PR & Krista & Becca Ritchie for the opportunity of receiving an ARC.

Tropes:
🍓Grumpy /Grumpy
🕸️ Con artist families
🍓Best friend's brother
🕸️High angst
🍓Wealthy coastal town
🕸️If he can't have her, no one can

What the heck did I just read? This was a masterpiece! 'Dishonestly Yours' by Krista and Becca Ritchie completely blew me away and exceeded all my expectations. As a devoted fan of the 'Addicted' series and 'Like Us', I was initially apprehensive, but those worries vanished the moment I dove into Phoebe and Rocky's world. Phoebe and Rocky captured my heart from the moment they were introduced with their complex and captivating characters.

This book dives into the world of two con families, focusing on Phoebe, the strong, resilient, and reliable, and Rocky, the grumpy, arrogant, self-assured yet fiercely loyal protector of his loved ones, which includes his siblings, Phoebe, and her brothers. The story starts with Phoebe and her best friend Hailey trying to escape their con artist past and start fresh in a small town. But their past, including Rocky who is secretly obsessed with Phoebe just as much as she is with him, isn't ready to let them go.

Adjusting to their new life in Victoria proves challenging, and just when things seem to be settling, everything starts to fall apart even more than before. The sibling bonds in this book are beautifully written, no one does it better than Krista and Becca Ritchie. And Rocky and Phoebe's love story, though still unfolding, promises to be epic. Their shared history only strengthens their connection, and I can't wait to see it grow.

While I wished for more romance, I have faith that the next book will deliver. The last 10% of this book left me absolutely stunned, and I am counting down the days until book two.

Thank you so much to Krista and Becca Ritchie and Valentine PR for the opportunity to receive this ARC. I still can't believe it happened, and I am beyond grateful. I can't stop recommending 'Dishonestly Yours' this book was perfection!

5 stars because I cannot get this book and these characters out of my head. I need more nowwwwww.
This book was addicting. The cons and schemes in this story I was so invested. The tension was tensioning. The banter was amazing. Going back and forth in the timeline kept me on my toes. I wanted to learn more about the people in victoria. And that ending?! Crazy!!! I need the next one pls and thank you.

As some who loves the Addicted/Calloway series and just the twins in general, this new series is very easy to fall in love with. It's intriguing to think about a slightly shadier romance that involves con artists, crime, and intense sexual tension.

Phoebe Graves and Rocky Tinrock are the children of successful con artist. They've been so successful that they had to pass it down to their kids and teach them their way of life. Although their parents have always been close friends, the children of the two families easily felt like members of their own families. They have been successful con artists for years, but once one goes wrong for the females, they want to get away from it all. It will be difficult for them to leave the world of con artists, in addition to keeping what had happened to them a secret. However, with Rocky's assistance, everything goes more smoothly than it would have without his assistance.

Even though it was difficult, the girls persevered in adjusting to a typical lifestyle. But Phoebe sometimes finds it hard to concentrate when Rocky is around. During their con days, Phoebe and Rocky would pretend to be a couple, married or divorced for the image need to be portrayed for the con to succeed. It is evident that the two are attracted to one another, but they are reluctant to pursue a relationship because of their parents. Despite their strong want to act on these impulses, they choose not to because they realize it can be simple for them to manipulate their connection.

Moving to a small rich town in Connecticut could potentially lead them into their old ways but they have succeeded into not following their temptations. Additionally, the man they work and pay rent to is suspicious of them, especially Phoebe, but they quickly become friends. Especially when the man pretends to date Phoebe in order to annoy his mother and has problems with this wealthy household. It promptly enrages Rocky.

Everything seems to be going smoothly until secrets of that one con job are revealed, visitors come into town, potential lies about their whole entire lives, and the parents finding them are revealed.

I'm sad to say this book was not what I was expecting it to be. I love me some KBR and was wicked excited to see this new series from them. Addicted is one of my favorites; I even have it signed on my bookshelf. I hate going into a highly anticipated book for it to just flop. Dishonestly Yours ended up being such a disappointment. And it majorly sucks to type that out.

I didn't mind the characters personalities, especially Rocky. Although, I do wish there was a little bit more time spent on flushing them out, especially since this was a longer read. My issue was hands down the story. I agree with other reviewers, for a book about con artists, it was sooooo damn slow moving. The characters lacked depth and richness. They lacked connection. They were more tell than show. There were moments where they shined, but those were far and in between.

I contemplated DNFing around 85% but glad I actually hung in there, because about 90% is where it started to pick up. Why couldn't this have been throughout the whole book? It could have had the potential for a 5 star read.

If you are looking for smutty romance, this is not it. Rocky and Phoebe are very much a slow burn. Which isn't my favorite cuppa but if written right I don't mind that troupe. And by right, I mean the couple is filled with so much tension, connection, and chemistry that you feel it pouring off the pages and your body is on fire from it. Sadly, this was no where close to the case here. The burn was quite flat and poorly executed. I didn't feel the connection. I didn't feel the tension. Or the yearning. I certainly didn't feel the chemistry. What I did feel was the lust during the one sex scene they had (which I won't lie, I did find hot). However, it most certainly didn't make up for the lack of throughout the rest of the book. Hell, I don't even need my characters to have sex, I just need to feel the passion, emotions and need coming from them. I want to feel that craving, that hunger they have for one another. For 90% of the book, Rocky and Phoebe made great friends, but outside of that...

Honestly, I have no clue why I kept going, other then hopes it would pick up. I know these girls know how to write an explosive story, and I guess I was just waiting for that to kick in here. Not sure yet if I will give this a second try with book two. I did feel a tiny spark towards the end, but I don't think that's enough to make me want to continue.

Dishonestly Yours is the story of Phoebe and Rocky born to two families living a life of crime. Rocky is her best friend Hailey’s brother but she’s known him and loved him just as long. They all grew up together together pulling cons and skipping town but now Phoebe and Hailey want to stop and live life in Connecticut on the up and up.

What I loved…
💙 Phoebe’s blue-hair-don’t-care vibes
😠 Rocky’s Grumpy Bear vibes
🥵 The tension, the longing
😮 The suspense!! These families have so many secrets and I need the tea.
🥸The cons! I want a detailed report on every con job these families have pulled. Every family member has a different skill set and role, I am hooked.

What I didn’t love…
😱 THE CLIFFHANGER *jawdrop* how could you do this to me Krista and Becca??? I have so many unanswered questions. I need to know what happens next, I need book two ASAP!!!

One thing about me, I am a huge fan of Addicted/Calloway Sisters. So, when I found out the Ritchie sisters were writing a new series, I was so excited-and this did not disappoint!
This book has angst, chemistry, mystery- everything you could ask for and more! You’re on the edge of your seat from start to finish.
The plot was so interesting!! I really didn’t know what to expect but wow. This book really showed that KBR has range.
I enjoyed Phoebe and Rocky a lot! I really liked the friendship foundation they had and how they’re first and foremost friends.
I loved the whole friend group too! Big core six vibes :’)
I can’t wait to see where this series goes!

What a great start to a new series from Krista and Becca Ritchie! They are so great at creating a found family and getting you so invested in their characters, and this book was no different. Two families who con people trying to live a normal life. Add in a brother’s best friend romance and you get a story that will have you at the edge of your seat the whole time. Can’t wait for the rest of this series!!

This book is so angsty & messy!!! I feel like if you’re a fan of their Addicted/Calloway series, you’ll like this one, even though the setting & plot is different. I think they are going to form the series in a similar fashion perhaps? With different books for different characters/couples, with an overarching plot that connects them all. I haven’t read anything from these authors yet, but I’ve heard plenty of things about their writing & this is definitely up their alley. This book is about two con artist families, that have been working together forever. This book specifically centers around Rocky & Phoebe. They have worked on cons together, usually in a fake relationship or as brother & sister. They have both been pining for one another for years, but have had to watch each other with other people, due to their families & cons. After a con goes terribly, Phoebe & Rocky’s sister Hailey decide they want to live a normal, true life. Rocky ends up crashing their plans. I was not really loving this book in the beginning & honestly, the last 20% saved this book & series for me. At first, I couldn’t really see the bigger picture of the plot & the romance and characters were annoying. (Hello angst & hot mess express). The book finally came together at the end for me. The romance & plot finally started making sense, and I started actually enjoying the characters. I really like the found family of all the kids from the con artist families. I loved the ending & am really looking forward to where Krista & Becca will take this series & these characters.

Thank you Krista & Becca Richie, Valentine PR & NetGalley for the ARC!

okay this was sooooo good!!!! Dishonestly Yours is such a fun and interesting new concept for a story and I couldn’t put it down! I was hooked on the angst & tension between Rocky & Phoebe and I LOVE A KBR FOUND FAMILY!!! Some of my favorite parts of the book was when everyone was together! Another thing I love was the dynamic between Phoebe and Hailey! I adore how much they would do anything for one another. At some points I feel like the pacing felt kinda off and I don’t know how I feel feel about the whole Jake situation going on… but this book was such a good start to what I know is going to be an amazing series! Also was not excepting that cliffhanger omg!!!! WHEN ARE WE GETTING BOOK 2😫

Phoebe and Hailey want to try living a normal honestly life but, that mean no lying, no deception. Can they do it? Seem easy enough till Hailey brother Rocky decide he coming too. Can these con artists truly live a normal life? Or will they backslide into their old ways finding their way in a wealthy coastal town.

High Angst
Best Friend Brother
Grumpy / Grumpy

This was such a great start to the series. You’ll be invested in these characters, their lives, and relationships. It start off slow but definitely pick up second half of the book. I’m interested to see how their dynamic will play out in the next book.

What a fun premise and different type of story. Daughters of con artist families who want to get out of the business but it doesn’t go according to plan. It was dramatic and unreal but that’s what made it fun. The romance was unconventional, best friends brother, and the connection between the two was well written.
