Thank you to Valentine PR for the e-ARC!

As an avid Krista and Becca Ritchie stan, I was more than excited to see what their new writing adventure outside of Addicted/Calloway would be. I genuinely enjoyed my time with our con-artist family of kids and am beyond intrigued to see where else the story is going.

If I wasn't enthralled by Phoebe and Rocky's undeniable chemistry and magnetic pull between them, I was by the every plot line that was brought to the surface. Whether it was shown through flashbacks or from the light brushstrokes of exposition, I was antsy for more information on this rag tag group.

If there is one thing that Krista and Becca Ritchie do well, it's the family aspect of their stories. I never once doubted the love and care each character had for their siblings or best friends turned family. The devotion that all of our characters share for each other had my heart in a chokehold. If the last few chapters taught me anything, it's that I am in for a wild ride and I am highly anticipating what comes next.

This book wasn't awful but I did have a hard time connecting with any of the main characters and I thought they were a little annoying and vain. I am dissapointed because I was so excited to read this book. I would check out more books in the future from the Ritchie sisters in the future though.

Many Thanks again to NetGalley and Berkley for providing me with this book in exchange for my honest review.

I DNFed this book. There was way too much going on - I was 40% in with no answers, just questions. I might pick this back up when the additional books release, but it was very long, written really young and just had way too much going on.

I have not read a book by Krista and Becca Ritchie and wow im regretting that!! I absolutely devoured this book!! The plot of this whole story constantly had me on my toes the entire time! I absolutely loved it.

The tension between Rocky and Phoebe was sooooo good! I loved their banter and the spice was definitely doing it for me! It was on such a good cliffhanger I am so excited to read the 2nd book!

4/5

P.S. all opinions are mine in honest appreciation of my reading experience and were in exchange of the arc.

Thank you Netgalley and the authors for the arc, you made my dreams come true ✨ and pulled me out of the readers block of a lifetime.

I love Krista and Becca Ritchie's Addicted/ Calloway sisters so I was excited to start their latest series. Phoebe and Rocky's relationship is a beautiful push-and-pull dynamic, full of tension and chemistry. Their bond is so strong and honest, making their connection truly compelling. The enjoyed the sense of family in this book. With two sets of three siblings, they would do anything for each other. Their tight-knit group is heartwarming and intense, reminding me of the Addicted series. While the story starts slow, it quickly becomes captivating. The flawed, three-dimensional characters and unique plot full of secrets kept me hooked. The detestable parents only strengthen the found family trope central to the story. So many questions remain unanswered, leaving me eagerly awaiting the next installment. This was a beautifully crafted story that blends romance and mystery perfectly. Thank you Valentine PR, Berkley, and the authors for sending me an advanced reader copy!

“I’ve always been dishonestly yours. And it look like that’s not changing”

Rating: ☆☆☆☆☆

Phoebe & Hailey are best friends who just happen to come from con artists families. One day they decide to break free from the constant life of cons & crime & choose to leave their families & settle in a small town to try & live a honest life.. that is until Hailey’s big brother, Rocky, decides to join them & refuses to leave & works to get answers to questions that might unravel the web of lies that their lives have become.

I am such a fan of the addicted series so of course hearing that a new series by KBR was about to be released had me automatically excited. When I read the synopsis for Dishonestly Yours it was completely different to any of their past work. The whole concept of a “con family” added an element of excitement & adventure that was refreshing to read in a romance novel. Knowing that they are con artists from birth I was questioning everything! Was that their real names? family? preferences etc. Although this was a more adventurous book the KBR romance we all love was still present. They do romance like not other. The growth of the romance between Rocky & Phoebe was so beautifully developed throughout the book. It was the perfect balance of longing, enemies to lovers & banter. There is an undeniable push & pull of an invisible string between the two characters. We see their internal thoughts as they try & fight their love for one another while simultaneously pining for each other. The fact that no matter how grumpy & bickering they were with each other they can’t deny that their only safe place in their world is within each other.

Although this is such a great love story between Rocky & Phoebe I loved seeing the dynamic of Hailey & Phoebe’s friendship. From pg. 1 we are made aware that they would do anything to ensure their safety & happiness. All they want to do is protect each other. It’s the selfless love of found family that really had me wanting more from this book. KBR knows how to write such raw & complex relationships between found families. It had me comparing this group of six friends to that of the core six of the Addicted series. They loved just as fiercely & protected just as fearlessly as the core six. They would go to the ends of the earth to ensure that the other members of their found family were safe & happy.

Although this book is a slow burn it is completely worth it. I love the dynamic of all the characters. We learn that although they are perceived as this tough group of con artists all they want deep down is the love from their parents, from one another & the truth. What is real & what is just a con? I absolutely loved it! My favorite romance book so far of 2024. I cannot wait for the rest of this series!

Thank you so much to Valentine PR & Netgallery for providing me with an ARC for this book. KBR’s books have always been so special to me & has introduced me to so many of my favorite characters/ worlds & Dishonestly Yours was no different!

This story is different than your normal romance which makes it definitely worth the try! 🍓

The main trope in this book is *best friend’s brother* but make them con artists. 🤫

Phoebe Graves and her best friend Hailey are con artists just like their families. When something went wrong with their last job, Phoebe and Hailey decided to move to a small town in Conneticut to start over and live a normal life. Hailey has an older brother, Rocky, he made a promise to keep his sister safe so he comes along…

Their connection was really fun to read about!

I‘m excited for this new series because their other series is so popular and deserves all the hype!

Thank you to Valentine PR, Krista & Becca Ritchie and the publisher for providing me with this copy. All opinions are my own.

🍓 on the run

This is the first book in the new Webs We Weave series and I am already impatiently awaiting book two. I loved how this was so far from your average romance book - there were con artists, insane crimes, scheming, and lots of twists and turns!

Phoebe • strong willed, loyal, confident
Rocky • brooding, touch her and die vibes
The angst was next level 🖤

Phoebe Graves grew up in a life of crime, using deception and seduction for con-jobs. The Graves and her best friend Hailey’s family are always on the run, and after a con job goes south, Phoebe and Hailey decide to leave their life of crime to start over in a small Connecticut town. The only problem? Hailey’s older brother, Rocky, insists on coming with them.

This was so entertaining. Three is lots of drama and twists and turns that made the book hard to put down for me.

I really liked Rocky and Phoebe, and there was so much tension between them. It’s a slow burn filled with lots of angst. You will be dying waiting for them to get together. The only thing that bugged me about their relationship is that we didn’t really see them have much meaningful connection in the present, and we were just mostly being told about their connection in the past.

I also really liked the found family element with the two families. I wished we would have gotten to know them a bit better in this book, so I hope that we get books for them in the rest of the series!

I am dying for the next book in the series to see what happens after the cliffhanger!

dishonestly yours by krista and becca ritchie was so fun and unique!! i don’t think i’ve ever read a story similar to this. there’s something so addicting about krista and becca’s writing, it’s just so smooth and automatically hooks you.

i found myself really loving phoebe’s character. reading about her role in cons and seeing how that life has affected her feelings towards herself made my heart hurt. she’s such a strong and determined character. i love how she’s always down for whatever when it comes to her best friend, hailey.

rocky is honestly the best. while he might not be very verbal with his feelings, his actions speak volumes. i love he supportive and protective he is of the people he cares about. he’s also very reliable and is similar to phoebe where he’s down for whatever.

the push and pull between phoebe and rocky was so tension filled. i love their connection and how no matter what, they always seem to end up together.

i’m so excited to see where this series leads to next, especially after that ending i cannot wait for book two!!

“I’ve always been dishonestly yours. And it looks like that’s not changing.” 🍓

Dishonestly Yours by Krista and Becca Ritchie is live! I’ll be honest, I was scared of starting a new series by the twins that wasn’t set in the Addicted universe, but I shouldn’t have doubted them!

I’m loving the core group so much and can’t wait to see how much their friendship continues to grow throughout the series. And the romance! They know they’ve had feelings for each other but can’t act on them out of fear because of…circumstances. SO MUCH PINING AND LONGING AND TENSION!

– best friend’s brother
– recovering con artists
– small town
– he hates everyone but her
– friendship bonding
– family dynamics

I had such a good time reading this book! I knew going in that it would be different than what I've read by them before & while it was in felt like we still get all the same things. The found family was EVERYTHING! And I'll eat up a found family trope every single time! The soulmate kind of love, the loyalty, plot twists etc. it's all there! And I had the best time reading this!
The tension between Phoebe and Rocky.. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! I mean.. come on. It was so good! The angst, the push and pull, the banter! It was perfection!
I was hooked from the beginning! And I can't wait to see where this next book takes us. Because I have a feeling we are in for a ride! And I am truly so excited to see where it goes!
Thank you Valentine PR & Netgalley for the arc!

i absolutely love kbr’s writing!! the addicted/calloway sisters series is one of my all time fave and i was blown away with this one! it was unlike any other book i’ve read with such a creative unique premise. this book sets itself apart from their other series being more plot driven, while also character driven at its core.

dishonestly yours is filled with drama, angst, and secrets. phoebe and rocky’s push-and-pull dynamic and tension filled moments had me captivated and invested in their romance. as con artists, they were taught to deceive and manipulate their way through life. but as they leave this life all behind, it means to live honestly, including coming face to face to harboring feelings and revealing secrets from the past.

phoebe and rocky are two hot heads that give off the same energy as loren hale and rose calloway. rocky is literally loren hale exuding the sharp wit and confidence of connor cobalt, need i say more? 🤭 they bring out all the sizzling tension! ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

i also love the classic sibling/found family dynamics. their group of six are ride-or-dies and would go to the ends of the earth for one another.

if you love the messy, angst love from lily and lo’s relationship in the addicted/calloway sisters series, you’ll love this!

tropes: best friend’s older brother, found family, slow burn, grumpy/grumpy, morally gray, coastal town, con artist families

thank you to kbr, valentine pr and netgalley for the arc! <3

Thank you @valentine_pr_ for my #gifted copy.

“Loving you has been the most authentic and natural thing I’ve ever done in my life”

Let me just start by saying this wasn’t a typical read for me, but I really enjoyed it! I just couldn’t put it down.

This story revolves around two con artist families. After a con gone wrong Phoebe and Hailey decide to start anew. Away from their families and their con artist lifestyle. Rocky, Hailey’s older brother, decides to join them in the small Connecticut town. This complicates everything for Phoebe as they have so much history together.

The dynamic between Phoebe and Rocky had me wanting to scream mid way through the book. However, once you get to the why it all comes together seamlessly. This book was split into past and present timelines. I really enjoyed getting to slowly understand their backstory as the past was being unraveled.

The strong bonds between the Phoebe and Hailey was such a great aspect of this book. The life that they led had showed them that they can only fully rely on each other and their other siblings.

I really enjoyed these authors writing style and I cannot wait for book two!

Dishonestly yours by Krista and Becca Ritchie - I'm not sure what kind of a story I expected when I started this book but I quite enjoyed this! ✨

The addicted/Calloway sisters series is one of my favourites but this author and I had very high expectations going into this book..💗

The plot of this book is unlike anything I've read before. The story follows Rocky and Phoebe, both come from a family of con artists. They seem to have a complex relationship since their younger days and we do get slight glimpses of it throughout the book. 🍓🕸️

There’s angst, tension, over the top drama, secrets, and found family. This was such a fun ride and a great start to the series! 🎢

It was bit slow at first but as we got more of the characters back stories I got more invested in the book...
I did have a few issues with he pacing of the book and the relationship dynamic between the main characters was a bit irritating at times..

It does end on a (sort of) cliffhanger..
I still have so many questions, there's so much to be revealed in the next books..Have the characters been living their whole life in a lie?
Needless to say I'll definitely be picking up the second book as soon as it is out! 🕸️🍓💗

WOW. First of all I’m so sorry because I somehow got the dates mixed up and thought this released 7/9. Second of all, this was one of my favorite reads of the year. I couldn’t put it down, I was so sucked in to Phoebe & Rocky’s story, it was like nothing else I’ve ever read. I think the spice level was great and the characters kept me guessing - there were points I didn’t know who to trust. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book!

This was my first book by these ladies, and it will not be my last. I need book 2 ASAP. Like today!!
The whole concept of this book was new to me, but it was also so fun and intriguing! It almost makes me wanna pull of a con BUT only if I can have Phoebe and Hailey as my partners lol This book just really had the biggest chokehold on me I couldn't put it down. I DEVOURED it. I was literally screaming ROCKKKKKYYYY at my kindle multiple times!
