Thank you so much to NetGalley and the publishers for this arc.
This was a different read for me, it discussed polyamory , it has more than one love story.

Thank you so much to NetGalley and the publishers for this arc.
🥹 when will it be my turn to find love
I will be back to write a longer review!

This book was sooooo good! I instantly fell in love with Mel, Bebe, and Kade. I felt like I was a part of their world. It definitely made me forget that I was reading. And man what a small twist that was thrown in there!! This book is queer and proud!! I did not want their story to end. I could not put this book down. Fingers crossed for a second book!

This book was fantastic. You get three love stories in one which was a nice change to my typical books that I read with just one love story. This was the first book I have read with a non-binary main character, and I loved it. It was definitely a welcome change from my typical reads.

Thank you Netgalley for the e-arc of this release!
First and foremost, what a great read. It was a perfect blend of rom com and beach read. Also, it involves themes of polyamory or throuples, it’s something I hope to see more of in the genre!

Wow. This book was amazing! A fantastic queer romance that gives a glimpse of what a poly relationship could look like. I want more! Wish the book was a series and we could follow the characters and see what happens with their relationship throughout the years. There is strong character development and the characters were so loveable. It was so fun to read and I know I’ll be rereading this book for fun.

Ok so I liked this book. But I didn’t love it. It is the story of a bartender that falls for one customer and her nonbinary wife. The first section was the romance between Bebe and Mel (the bartender). Mel isn’t looking for love but Bebe is perfect. Which I guess was my issue. The first third of the book is two people dating because they like each other. And they are great and sensible and romantic. Which can be a nice palette cleanser to angsty books I suppose. But I just wasn’t feeling it. Now once Mel and Kade get snowed in at a resort….oh wait yeah, it’s me, I guess I am in a trope-centric space right now. This book is a sexy book about finding your people and making a family. And nourishing your relationships. Probably perfect for folks that need to hear that. I apparently need contrivances. (I received and ARC)

I haven’t met a TJ Alexander book I didn’t instantly love, and this one stands up to the rest. Huge fan.
Even though a dynamic poly relationship takes center stage, it feels like this is truly Mel’s story. She goes on multiple journeys throughout the book. The other characters are quirky and lovable in their own right, Mel is the one I was rooting for.
I love the cocktails with their vivid drink descriptions, and peak into the service industry. Where are the recipes!?
This story is sweet, the absolute queerest, takes its time in unfolding (in the best way possible), and is spiiiiiiicy. It’s one to savor with your favorite beverage nearby.
Thank you NetGalley and Atria books for this ARC digital copy.

What a treat!! Had all the great elements of a TJ Alexander book — lovable characters with full lives, the most excellent food descriptions in the world, and so funny. Kade, my unexpected fave!!! Our very own nonbinary Darcy. What a star. And some expertly employed character vs nature conflict in service of a romance arc (one of my fave tropes of all time). The relationship dynamics were great and hot. WHEW. Mel, Bebe, and Kade’s story lent itself to a satisfying plot structure that I particularly loved and haven’t gotten to read before! This was a perfect addition to the Chef’s Kiss universe.
Special shoutout to how Alexander writes about food/drink and the preparation of it. The descriptions are always so emotionally layered with the characters themselves; they have brought tears to my eyes on multiple occasions. :”)
Thank you very much to Atria for the ARC!

If there’s one thing I’m going to do, it’s drop everything to read the latest from TJ Alexander. Triple Sec is equal parts sweet and spicy, and is not your typical romcom. I found one of our paramours pretty one dimensional and corny, but I loved Mel, and watching her grow professionally and professionally. I would recommend this book to others who are looking for a fun, fast read that brings a new relationship dynamic to the world of romcoms.

I already new that I loved TJ Alexander's book and this new release did not disappoint! You fell for each of the characters through out this romance and loved both their strengths and their flaws. I loved that we got to see the individual relationships form along the way as well. If you are interested in a romance with phenomenal LGBTQ+ representation then you need to read this new release from TJ Alexander (as well as all of their other books)!

TJ Alexander has written a polyamourous romance that deserves as much love as any of their characters. Mel is down on her luck in love (and a few other things) working as an amazing bartender but stilted in her approach to romance and dating. Bebe and Kade are married, but polyamorous which Mel doesn't quite know what to do with. Mel first starts dating Bebe, the most outgoing of the trio leaving Kade and Mel as metamours - your lover's other lover. This leads to some interesting conversations and situations, rolling to a delightful finale and a different but highly enjoyable conclusion, one that emphasizes the different options and flavors for a happily ever after.
As a monogamous queer person, I specifically loved this book because TJ Alexander did such a good job of explaining what Mel, Bebe and Kade are seeking in polyamory. What they want is not interesting to me, but just as someone moving home to open a bakery isn't interesting to me, good authors like TJ can still make you understand why it's appealing to their characters.
I also specifically loved the treatment of Kade, a genderqueer person assigned male at birth. TJ Alexander does a great job of highlighting the unique challenges for this identity not in order to turn this into an afterschool special, but as a natural part of the evolution of the relationship between the three protagonists.
Finally, as a foodie who got REALLY into cocktails during her 20s, the descriptions of the food and drinks throughout always made me hungry. I would kill for a recipe for Mel's drinks, especially her last creation.

Another incredible romance from TJ, one that I’ll be recommending to everyone I know. The first poly romance I’ve read, an incredible portrayal of the intricacies of love and relationships. Something that I think everyone can find a little of themselves in.
Bonus points for a forced proximity, snowed in during a blizzard, which I didn’t know I needed but absolutely loved.

I was so excited to get an ARC of this book because I love TJ Alexander's books. Their books are always so full of love, emotion, heart, and steam, and this book did not disappoint!
'Triple Sec' really gives three amazing love stories all wrapped up into one beautiful story. Mel is a bartender at a cocktail bar in NYC, and she meets a beautiful woman named Bebe. Mel thinks that Bebe is flirting with her until she meets Bebe's wife, Kade. Mel spends more time with Bebe and Kade, and Bebe wants to take Mel on a date. Mel finds out that Bebe and Kade are poly-amorous, and they each can have other partners. Mel goes on a date with Bebe, and sparks fly between the two of them. The rooftop scene is so steamy!
Mel has a rule with Bebe- they must keep it casual, and they can't fall in love. All rules are meant to be broken though, aren't they? Bebe, Mel, and Kade are supposed to take a trip together, but a snowstorm strands Bebe at home while Mel and Kade are snowed in together without electricity. They spend time together, and sparks fly for them. Mel and Kade are so hot together too!
As Mel embarks on separate relationships with both Bebe and Kade, their rules are changed forever. I loved how each pairing was together, and how all three of them formed a special relationship too.
I loved this story, and I can't wait to purchase it in June! Thanks to NetGalley and Atria for an ARC of this book.

This was as cute as the blurb leads a reader to believe, especially once the elephant in the room of Kade's martial love name is addressed (seriously that annoyed me until it was explained).
*I received an ARC from Netgalley. My review is my own.

Mel is a bartender and has seen her share of disastrous dates, she’s convinced that love doesn’t exist.
Her world changes when Bebe walks into the bar. She’s everything Mel dreams of in a woman, except she’s married. So, when Bebe makes her a unique offer, she’s inclined to take it. Bebe and her wife Kade are in an open marriage, and Bebe would like to date Mel.
When starts as a light and fun meeting quickly turns into a relationship with some serious feeling. Through this relationship Mel finds courage, and hope. As Mel, Bebe and Kade explore the relationship they have, they start to wonder if their love could be even something more.
I fell in love with T.J. Alexander last year so when their new book dropped, I ran to get a copy. This book was so good. I think it was my first polyamorous book and it was a lot of fun. Rom-Com’s are one of my favorite genre’s and queer rom-coms are the best. Romcoms are cheesy, yes, but they are fun, and I like them. This one delivered on the fun, and the spice. Like I said, I’d never read a polyamorous romance before, and the fact that this one was spicy, was an extra special treat. I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect, but this book exceeded all my expectations in every way. To say I loved it would be an understatement.
The characters in this one was a lot of fun, and the cocktail focus was interesting. I wish that I had a few cocktails from the book to try while I was reading. Mel was amazing. She had been so hurt by her past relationship and gave it so much power over her that it clouded her future relationships. Bebe was such a fun character. For being so lighthearted and free spirited it was a nice twist to give her such a serious career and I was all for that, it helped make her a really well-rounded character. Kade was rather interesting. While she did really fit the moody artist stereotype, I loved getting to see her softer side later in the novel. As this book came to an end, I got sad because I wanted to spend more time with Mel, Bebe, and Kade, they were all amazing and together they were perfection.
As with the last T.J. Alexander book I read the writing was so well done and I wanted to stay in their character’s world longer. I will anxiously await their next book!
If you haven’t read a T.J. Alexander book yet, then you are missing out and need to ASAP. Their queer romcoms are truly the best.
Many thanks to Atria, Emily Bestler Books, @Atriabooks, the author @TJAlexandernyc, and Netgalley @netgalley for this e-arc in exchange for an honest review.
This book will be featured on my blog, speedreadstagram.com closer to publication.

I am a TJ Alexander stan, and this is was one of my most anticipated books of the year! A heartwarming poly F/F/NB romance set in the NYC cocktail scene.
This book is much spicier than other books by TJ Alexander, but with the same cute plot and pairing you can’t help but cheer on. Because of the romance/spice focus, the plot wasn’t quite as flushed out as I would have liked it to be - the central thread of the cocktail competition sometimes felt like an afterthought, and at one point I genuinely forgot that was going on.
Overall all the tropes were a lot of fun, the different couplings were exciting to watch, and I’ll continue to eagerly read whatever else they write! I would love to see a sequel to this with Daniel.

Wow really enjoyed this book the characters the polyamorous story line first book I’ve read about this. This was a spicy entertaining romantic read.First book by Tj Alexander for me looking forward to reading more .

before i give my thoughts, i would like to thank netgalley for providing me a copy of the ebook for an exchange for a review.
honestly, i am kicking myself for not reading anything from tj alexander sooner. this was so good!! i loved the banter, mel reminds me of myself in many ways (being the italian gay that i am) and i enjoyed her relationship with kade and bebe

3.5 Stars!!
This was a super fun and fast read for me. We follow Mel who is bartending and navigating the heartbreak of her divorce while simultaneously getting swept up with Bebe who is married but poly. As this is something Mel never experienced before you learn through her character all about nonmonogamy and the dynamics of that relationship. I had never read a book involving polyamory before and was not sure what to expect. Honestly, this book felt like a special treat because you get to watch the FMC fall in love not once but TWICE. And it still has a happy ending, What a win for the gays! I thought the banter and dynamics between characters were fun. There were some times when a sentence would lean a little too cheesy and kind of take me out of it for a second. HOWEVER, I will acknowledge the fact that my cheesy line tolerance is pretty low and I have to own up to that lol.
Overall, this book was fun, spicy, fast-paced, and surprisingly educational about pronouns, different relationship dynamics, and polyamory. I loved all the food info and the fact that the characters often referenced NYC as their town. It was giving Beauty in the Beast.
(p.s. shout out to Netgalley for this eARC)
