Oh how I wish I had been a camp kid! The writing duo Ali Brady has become a must read for me. And this one did not disappoint. I enjoyed the characters love of camp. The supporting characters were just as important as the main characters. I enjoyed both Jessie and Hillary's stories, life changes, and becoming who they were meant to be. This one is hard to put into a category - it is women's fiction with romance but the romance is not the main story. I will be recommending to all readers for a great summer read! I look forward to the next book from the writing duo Ali Brady.

Who doesn't have memories of going to summer camp. Jessie and Hillary were once best friends from summer camp, but drifted apart when Hillary didn't return the next summer as a counselor. Jessie stayed on and eventually became the camp's director. But now the camp is being sold. She plans one final summer asking former campers to return. Hillary comes back to handle the Arts and Crafts area as they try to repair their friendship and save the camp from being sold.. Of course their are summer flings, but will they last beyond the summer? And, can their ambitious plan save the camp from being sold to developers?

Ali Brady are by far one of my most favorite writing duos out there right now - they are on absolute auto-buy for me. That being said, I am thankful to Berkley, NetGalley and Ali Brady for the opportunity to review Until Next Summer - all opinions are my own.

Until Next Summer is a dream come true for every summer camper out there; you know the ones who “Live 10 for 2.” Jessie is a lifer - a camper turned staffer turned director of her summer camp. When the owners (a grumpy brother and reluctant sister) sell the camp to developers - Jessie and a staff of past campers plan one last summer - for adults!
The story is about more than just saving the summer camp though. There are friendships that were tested (we learn all about Jessie and her former BFF HIllary’s past friendship and falling out - can they overcome the past and become best friends again?), past family dramas which have hindered both Hillary and Jessie’s current relationships, and summer camp ROMANCES (aren’t those the best??)!!! Throw in the best camp activities (color war, capture the flag, musicals) and this book is the most PERFECT 5-Star laugh out loud, shed a tear, perfect romance HEA novel publishing this coming summer.

Until next summer had some sweet moments of love between two estranged friends, Jessie and Hillary, and the two men they spend the summer falling for. Desperate to save her favorite place on earth, Jessie spends the summer growing and adapting as a person while building relationships with former campers. It’s a sweet story but I didn’t really fall in love with any of the characters.

My coherent thoughts are non-existent because all there is in my brain is that I loved this very very much.

I could not put this down and, as weird as this sounds, I am so glad I chose this as my sick day read. It was such a delight to slip inside Jessie's and Hillary's lives, even if only for a few hours. The writing was compelling and the story well-crafted, but I really just enjoyed following along with these two women as they tried to rekindle their friendship and find romances that were finally meaningful to them. There is so much to root for in either character's life and I'm honestly hard-pressed to pick a favourite. Even the love interests were equally wonderful.

If you've ever spent time at summer camp, the nostalgia in this will be a fist around your heart in the best way possible. It doesn't matter where you went, how many times, or for how long—the way summer camp makes most feel is hard to bottle. Ali Brady has done it with ease. The memories, the sense of belonging, the community, the freedom, and the joy of it all are captured perfectly here.

I will definitely be looking for more books from this author (authors?) because this was a warm hug that I need repeated.

The writing, the story, the emotions, the message, everything came together so beautifully. This was an unforgettable, captivating and a summer must-read!!! The only words to truly describe this book are epic and entertaining.

This was a nice and easy read! I read so many books for my job basically full time that I always look for a nice easy pallet cleanser type novel and this was so that. I have never been to camp but the way it was written I for sure felt the camp vibes and felt transported there. The friendship was really good and sweet as well as the romances. I wouldn’t say it’s something that I will remember for a long time and recommend to everyone but it was a nice happy reading experience and will be purchasing a hard copy for our library.

Until Next Summer by Ali Brady is a nostalgic novel that explores the rekindling of friendship and the unexpected twists of love at an adults only summer camp. Jessie and Hillary, once inseparable at Camp Chickawah, return for one last hurrah. This story captures the essence of enduring connections and the timeless magic of summer, as the two attempt to save their beloved camp.

Easy reading but plays really hard into camp nostalgia (which is fine, of course, if that's your thing!). I stopped into chapter 2 (the 5% mark). Likely an easy three to four stars for the target audience, because it does hit the nostalgia hard and taps into that. That said, if you weren't a die-hard camp person, probably one to skip.
