This was my first Jae book and I was blown away! Going into this I didn't know what to expect but I was not disappointed. It started off slow and had a lot of necessary plot development, showcasing these character's quirks. Elle is the little miss sunshine who loves her job as her ER Nurse while Regina is the icy ER Doctor who doesn't let anyone see a softer side to her since a family tragedy. As Regina and Elle get to know each other, they start to knock down each other's walls as they begin to fall for each other.

I loved how we saw these characters grow throughout the story which gave them lots of dimension and depth which isn't seen too often in romance novels these days (or maybe that's just the books I've been reading lately lol). I also love how these characters didn't immediately fall in love with each other and we were able to see their relationship develop throughout the chapters.

The narrator was perfect for this story! I felt connected to this story and it was just such pleasant listening. It flowed so well and kept me hooked throughout.

I adored this book so much and I cannot wait to read more from Jae!

The anticipation for a new Jae book to drop is always high. I, like so many others, know to expect a feel-good romance, characters at odds with each other, an original plot, and a sappy happily ever after.

Bachelorette Number Twelve did not disappoint. Opting for the audio version, Lori Prince's narration complemented a brilliantly written story. Ellie, a nurse in the emergency department, loves her job but finds working alongside Regina, the snooty, icy doctor who thinks she's better than everyone else, a nerve-grating experience.
Regina feels the same, disliking Ellie’s carefree approach to work and her attempts to inject fun into the hospital environment. The accidental bid for Regina at a singles auction forces the two women to spend time together. A series of dates, complete with a photographer, compels the duo to at least appear to have fun. Spending time together proves easier than anticipated but admitting that feelings have developed becomes a challenging hurdle, especially for Regina.

Bachelorette Number Twelve features a cameo from Holly and Leo from Perfect Rhythm, weaving a sweet, unexpected side-story arc. The rest is classic Jae; fast-paced writing and immersive settings. There is a touch of angst, strategically placed to enhance the narrative. Ellie and Regina are humanly flawed but capable of evolving and growing as the story unfolds. Whether you choose to pick up the book or give the audio a listen, don't miss this one.

I received an ARC from RB Media via NetGalley and am leaving a voluntary review.

We love a super cute sapphic grumpy/sunshine story!

Ellie and Regina (Nurse and Doctor) work together in the ER and when Regina (reluctantly) gets talked into being auctioned off for charity, Ellie accidentally bids on her. And wins.

I loved that Regina didn't immediately soften and become less grumpy once these two started to develop feelings. There are lot of things to navigate and I like that Ellie was drawn to her despite that prickly exterior.

Slightly spicy, with one open door scene (and with the lost potential of more which is one of my only complaints about this book!).

I wished that found family had been more of a trope here, as I felt like Regina would have thrived with more people in her circle.

Otherwise I loved it and it's a well written, well paced love story.

I received this Audio ARC from Netgalley but all opinions are my own. :)

Another winner from Jae! 🏆 I enjoyed the banter and chemistry between Regina and Ellie. There was a lot of secrecy/back and forth in the first half that was more drama than I usually enjoy but it was relevant to their situation so it’s all good.
I’m 100% committed to focusing on FF lesbians/queer romance books but it’s a challenging road. The double standard in the marketplace for MM vs FF is egregious. If it’s men, everything goes sexually. If it’s women, it has to be tame to sell. I always appreciate Jae’s books for exploring the full range of romantic relationships and not shying away from sexual expression, though I continue to hope the spicy lines will continue to be pushed! 🌶️

Oh my gosh, this book! I was hooked from start to finish. I love a good opposites attract, grumpy/sunshine story and Jae did not disappoint with this one. Plus it was narrated by one of my favorite audiobook narrators! It was sweet and funny and dripping with sexual tension…HO-LY SMOKES!

The playful, flirtatious banter that they can’t seem to keep from slipping out any time they are together. The unintentional sexual innuendos. The vulnerability and tenderness. The mutual pining. Regina’s icy walls slowly melting, but only for Ellie. The hopefulness, and longing, and growing desire to protect. That first kiss… And OH MY GOD! I will never look at a twinkie or lava cake the same way ever again!! 👅I absolutely loved every part of this story and the way Lori brought these characters to life was perfection. So many feels!

Regina is the new doctor in the ER, an ice queen who skips the niceties and leaves everything but work outside the hospital. Ellie is a nurse in the ER. She’s bubbly and warm and the kind of person who hangs paper hearts in the hospital for Valentine’s Day. So things get interesting when the two are thrust together for four dates after Ellie accidentally (it was a big fly after all 😂…iykyk) bids on Regina at the hospital’s fundraiser. If it were up to Regina the dates would have never happened. But luckily, the hospital wants photos of these outings and the two are stuck seeing it through.

As the dates progress, the dynamics begin to shift between them in subtle ways. Ways that neither of them are quite ready to admit. Regina may be icy, but her story will touch your heart. The grief and despair and shame that she carries are part of why she built such strong walls to protect herself. But being in Ellie’s presence somehow has her repeatedly letting those walls down without warning. Not gonna lie…I definitely teared up at times while listening.

I love that Ellie never lets Regina get away with things. She makes her talk to her and answer her questions. She always seems to know where that line is for Regina and never forces her or pushes her to go farther than she’s comfortable. But she makes Regina own up to what she does and why. And she holds Regina’s story with the utmost care.

Ahh!! I just freaking love these two, okay? They are truly made for each other and bring out all the best parts of each other. This is just a phenomenal story. I highly recommend it!

Sapphic romance that’s based out of an ER… Count me in!!! Dr. McIcy and Sunshine nurse. The background. Ellie our sweet nurse can’t stand working with Regina our Dr. McIcy. Regina gets rangled into a singles auction to help raise money for a hospital fundraiser. When Regina walks out as bachelorette number twelve Ellie suddenly feels a bit hot and starts fanning herself with her bidders panel and is mistaken for a bidder and finds her self buying a date with Regina. This slow burn books keeps you reading and wanting more. The intensity turns spicy. But can they both give into what they really want? Each other. As someone who meet their wife working at a hospital I really loved this! While the book has medical talk in it, i believe it is easy enough to follow for someone who does not have medical knowledge.

I received this book as an audiobook and I loved the narrator! While this book has only one narrator she changes her tone for Ellie and Regina and it makes it easy to follow.

Thank you RB Media and NetGalley for the audiobook for an honest review.

Oh my gosh what a treat! I was smiling from the very first page of Jae's Bachelorette Number Twelve.

One of my favorite tropes, opposites attract/enemies to lovers, Jae does such a wonderful job growing the relationship between Ellie and Regina. We definitely get the tension between these two strong women from the start and I could harly wait for them to get togther. Jae begins by forming a mutual respect between them, which forms to a friendship, and then the sparks build and build. Marvelous!

The audio verson of Bachelorette Number Twelve is beautifully performed by Lori Prince.

This sapphic rom com is exactly what the doctor prescribed. If you are looking for easy, fun and cute read, you will not be disappointed. And I can just say that Lori Price did an incredible job, I was giggling and kicking my happy feet like a teenager. She performed this book like a champ, the audio book took already a great book to another level. I love medical drama and Ellie and Dr. McIcy didnt disappoint. Also, when Regina finally cleared up the huge misunderstanding with her family I could feel how relieved she was, how she could breathe that much lighter. But I do have to say that I felt like it was getting a bit too long towards the end.

A lesbian romance where a coworker bids at an auction for 4 dates. A grumpy, cold, blunt Doctor is the prize and a happy, ray of sunshine nurse is the bidder.

This was a slow burn, especially with lesbians, with a grumpy vs Sunshine trope and a whole lot of miscommunication. I enjoyed how both of them opened up to each other and worked through their miscommunication. They talked about their "failures" and raised each other up. This audiobook was a bit long for me where the story seemed to move along so slow.

Thank you to Netgalley, Jae, and the publishers for this free audiobook. This review is 100% my own and honest opinion.

A great LGBTQIA+ romance with a ton of great tropes. Definitely worth a listen (or read). It had me laughing, cringing, and hoping for a great outcome. I loved the date ideas and loved the story!

I really wanted to like this book, but it felt like too many tropes at once. I just wanted more nuance and complexity with the characters and the storyline. If you’re looking for fluffy, predictable, slow-burn romance, this is a great one for you!

I absolutely loved this story!!! Jae + Lori Prince are a phenomenal team delivering this WONDERFUL sapphic slow-burn romance!! Jae is a solid author who writes incredible, relatable characters. Each book of hers I've read has been so heartfelt and the MCs have such meaningful connections.
Regina is our ice queen and OMG does she thaw for Ellie. Ellie is so incredibly lovely and warm and caring and Regina just doesn't know how to navigate that. Jae wrote this book so well and I just really love the depth of this romance. It's been a while since a slow-burn got me this enamored and the payoff was soooo worth it. This book was the perfect blend of humor (the twinkie and lava cake made me giggle so much ) and seriousness. I laughed and my heart hurt and it was just beautiful.
Lori Prince - as usual- is stellar at bringing these characters to life. I love listening to her narrate these wonderful wlw stories. She's fantastic!

Thank you to Jae, YLVA and Netgalley for a copy of this audiobook

DNF 50%. I did not like any of the protagonists, the story is EXTREMELY boring, nothing really important happens in 7 hours of listening and I do not have the energy to listen to 7 hours more of a book I could not care less about anything... Jae has written lots of books I have loved, but not this one. Thank you Netgalley for a copy in exchange for an honest review.

I enjoyed this. I liked the setting and the concept. I will admit, the audiobook is 13 hours long and this book does drag on for a little too long at times, but if you're a big fan of slowburn romances this will definitely hit the spot for you, but by the 70% mark I was a bit over it and ready to for it to start wrapping things up.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Four stars.
This was my first time reading anything by Jae. I love a good romance with some spice in it (and classy spice, not gratuitous spice like some authors include), and that is exactly what this was. It got my attention straight away. I love the grumpy vs sunshine trope and this was a nurse and a doctor. So perfect.
This was an audiobook, and the narration was honestly excellent. The voices she used for Ellie and Regina reflected their personalities, and when she spoke I knew exactly who it was speaking. Perhaps one of the best narrations I have heard in a romance book reading.
I love love of all types, and this Sapphic romance ticked all the boxes for me. Strong female main characters, realistic relationship and romance, no manufactured conflict for the sake of it. And as mentioned above, spice without it being repetitive or gratuitous. It added to and enhanced the story.
I only give five stars to books that are my very top favourites, so I just wanted to say that four stars for a romance from me is like five stars for something else. This was a great, well rounded, enjoyable story. And I'll be telling people about it. Now that I have discovered Jae I'm excited to read more of what they have written!

Thank you to Netgalley and Jae for an advance review copy of this book (in audio format) in exchange for my honest review.

Bachelorette number 12 was a very enjoyable 'enemies to lovers' romance.
I've worked as a nurse myself, though never in the ED, and it was fun to see some things that felt very relatable (not the dating a doctor part though, no thanks XD).

I always enjoy the fake dating trope, and while this isn't that, it feels adjacent to it, so it was like a fresh new take on a beloved story mechanic :D

Thank you Netgalley and Tantor Audio for providing me with an ARC!

I absolutely enjoyed this sapphic, medical field romance, but I do want to point out that this is not an enemies to lovers romance...I wouldn't even call it rivals to lovers to be honest.

Ellie and Regina were both fantastic characters and showed how they could be complementary while also being polar opposites. Ellie is a lively and compassionate ER nurse that will do anything for her patients, but she shoulders her family's disappointment of not completing medical school. Regina is closed off ER doctor and unliked by the majority of her colleagues at the hospital, but she blames herself for the death of a loved one.

I also really liked Ellie and Regina trying to go through these dates for charity and grow from the dates being a chore to being excited about surprising each other on date ideas. It was just super cute.

This was a very cute book! I do not want to spoil but would encourage anyone to read. Be aware the beginning is slower paced but it is still worth the wait for the characters find their place and pace.
