Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for letting me review this advanced copy & letting me review it. This was a 4 star read involving a mystery and a bit of romance. This was the second book I have read by the author Mary Kay Andrews and it did not disappoint. Summers at the Saint gives me a beach vibes with workplace gossip along with drama. I enjoyed each characters perspective along with seeing how things started to where they ended.
Mary Kate Andrews never disappoints, and this title is no exception. With her trademark plucky heroines, hunky heroes, and Southern charm, Andrews dresses you into this fun beach read with a dash of mystery and a likable cast.
This was my first Mary Kay Andrews novel and I really enjoyed it. I was actually expecting more of a romance plot but the mystery surprised me and totally kept me hooked! This was a great "summer" read (even in winter) and I highly recommend it to romance readers looking for a bit of a mystery plot.
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for this ARC!
Mary Kay Andrews, you have done it again! This story was as magnificent as the “The Saint” is. St. Cecelia,“the Saint, is an upscale vacation resort; people and locals who can’t afford to vacation there are “the ‘Ain’ts.” The two worlds collide one summer when the winds of change hit the resort.
Thank you for an advance copy, NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press.
As a long time fan of the author, Summers at the Saint delivered all of the beach read vibes I was looking for- a mystery with some thrilling twists, family and workplace drama, and a touch of romance. This story did have larger cast of characters, which did require a good bit of scene setting so that you were acquainted with everyone and their backstory. But once the author set the scene for you in this world of Saints and A’ints, the story unfolds in a thrilling page turner!
I really enjoyed Summers at the Saint. It had great character development and a perfect storyline. There were tons of twists and turns that kept me guessing and engaged the entire way through. I love a good comeback story. The very subtle love story was a nice touch too. Overall, I think this is a great read that is definitely worth the time! I just reviewed Summers at the Saint by Mary Kay Andrews. #SummersattheSaint #NetGalley
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC. I enjoy Mary Kay Andrews books and she didn't disappoint with this one. The story was wonderful with all the plot twist. The characters were easy to like (or dislike when needed). I thought I had the murders figured out from the beginning but throughout the story my guess changed. I did feel that more time could have been spend on KJ. I feel some of his story line wasn't told and we had to assume the connection. Overall, I highly recommend this book.
"Summers at the Saint" by MK Andrews is a captivating journey into the lives of characters grappling with love, loss, and the complexities of family dynamics. Andrews effortlessly weaves together multiple storylines. Andrews keeps readers hooked from start to finish, delivering a narrative filled with unexpected twists. Each page is infused with a sense of nostalgia and authenticity, making "Summers at the Saint" a must-read for anyone seeking an immersive and emotionally resonant tale. Andrews once again proves herself as a master storyteller, leaving readers eagerly anticipating her next literary endeavor. Thank you to the author and NetGalley.
Summers at the Saint is another incredible, uplifting, and charming new read from Mary Kay Andrews. I've been reading her books for years and still can't get enough of them!
After reading this book I have decided to go back and read MKA’s entire backlist. I have read a few of her books in the past and enjoyed them, but this was my favorite. There were a lot of characters but they were all well developed and realistic so it wasn’t overwhelming. I went in thinking this was going to be your typical beach read, but it was so much more. Murder, deception, family drama, atmosphere- this one has it all!
Looking for a suspenseful murder mystery with a beautiful serene setting, then Summers at the Saint is the one for you.
There are a lot of characters to keep up with in the book, some you will like and others you will not. The story moves at a nice pace. The only reason I will not rate this book higher is the amount of profanity that is absolutely not necessary.
Thank you NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for my ARC in exchange for an honest opinion.
BRB booking a beach vacation after this one. I loved the element of mystery and scandal woven throughout this story. This cozy summer mystery was predictable in the best way! I knew where the plot was going, but I didn’t know which characters were going to play what role in that, which allowed me to feel both smart, and surprised, by the end. I will say this one is front heavy as you have to meet so many characters up front, but it was wrapped up really nicely by the end. The whole book went quickly, despite the front end feeling bulky and I was able to finish it in a day!
📢 Would recommend for anyone who wants a mystery they can read in one day at the lake or beach!
Thank you @stmartinspress @netgalley #partner for the #free eARC!

As the summer kicks off, there is a death on the property which brings more traffic and eyes to what’s happening. She is determined to absolutely get to the bottom of the activities going awry at The Saint and maybe find some love along the way!
This is my second book by Mary Kay Andrews and I love her style. She writes a perfectly witty, dramatic, fun, engaging mystery in both of the books I’ve read! Her books feel very light and summery and always have memorable characters! Even though there are several characters, each has their own unique personalities making it easy to keep them straight! She creates many twists with great depth that keep you flipping pages wanting more. Grab this book, an umbrella cocktail, prop your feet up and get ready for the perfect summer whodunit!
This is the first time I've read a novel by Mary Kay Andrews, and I wish I had done so earlier.
This book is a great summer beach read, with a good mix of southern charm, family drama, and a hint of mystery.
The chapters are mostly short and the perspective changes up between characters, which keeps it light and interesting. I love a book that I can read in short spurts when I am in a waiting room or otherwise have a few minutes to spare.
I didn't want the book to end. The characters were endearing and relatable.
Another great read from Mary Kay Andrews. Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC. I really enjoyed this book. I think this will be a great summer read.
The story follows Traci Eddings who inherited the resort “The Saint” when her husband Hoke passed away. This book is full of family drama, mystery, a little romance. There are a lot of characters that you get to know and I loved how they all ended up weaving together. I liked that the book kept me guessing about who done it, I never expected what actually happened. This is a great book that I would definitely recommend!
Saint Celia, the "Saint" is a classic 5 star resort in the south catering to the elite. Traci Eddings took over running the resort after her husband passed away. The Eddings had built the resort 100 years ago and turned it into the elite resort it is today. Going into the summer season Traci was desperately trying to fill the staff needed to run such a big resort. This story follows several of those new employees and their backstories and an unexpected tragedy that takes place part way through the summer. This book keeps the twists and turns coming in a fun quick read.
Very good beach read! I love the writing and have enjoyed Mary Kay Andrews' other books. Definitely recommend!
Thank you NetGalley and Mary Kay Andrews!
This book was slow for me to get into but once I was into it I was HOOKED! The multiple POVs were amazing getting all the amazing cast of characters side. There was so much happening at once I was a little overwhelmed at all the reveals at the end but all-in-all I liked how it came together! The way all other storyline connected and came together was stunning. I will say at times I found Traci unlikable simply because she didn't seem to realize lot of what was happening right under her nose, but in the end I'm glad she got a happy ending.
Another MKA hit! I adore her books, and could not wait to read this one. The who's who of the town all visit the St. Cecilia, aka The Saint, during the summers. Traci, who didn't vacation at the Saint, grew up to work there as a lifeguard amongst the posh and affluent. It's there she meets her future husband, whose family also happens to own the resort. Tragedy strikes and Traci is left widowed with the resort and the desire to revamp it to what it once was.
In true MKA fashion, there is a little mystery, some adventure, romance, and long-buried secrets. The perfect summer/ beach read.
This is a great beach read! I had a little mystery and suspense added into it and it kept me reading until I finished!
