“Summers at the Saint” is a fantastic thriller full of real-life feelings, and romance. Although this takes place in a beach town, it is not your normal “beachy” read.
As a child Tracy and her best friend Shannon always wished they could be part of the in crowd at the St. Cecelia, but unfortunately, they did not come from money. They found a way to feel like they belonged when they became lifeguards. Shannon was blamed for a tragedy at the pool and then the management went ahead and let her go. Shannon felt wronged and took it out on Tracy by ending their friendship. Fast forward to Tracy meeting her husband who just happens to be part owner of the resort. After Tracy’s husband passed away unexpectedly, she becomes the CEO of the resort. So many incidents, mystery, greed, and tragedy in this story make it an unforgettable read.
I loved this book; it was a page turner, and you will not be able to put it down until the very last page. A big thank you to NetGalley and Mary Kay Andrews for this ARC.

I had a love/hate relationship with this book. I hated that it was a fun beach read. Too much murder mystery for that. I loved once I got pasted that it wasn't a fun beach read, that story kept your engrossed that you wanted to know how everything tied together
Thank you to St. Martin Press and Netgalley for the ARC

Thank you for allowing me to read this early copy and give my honest review. I honestly loved this story. It’s full of family secrets, mystery and even a little romance. It will capture you from the very beginning and keep your attention to the very end and you will want toe story not to end. I highly recommend this great book.

Let me start by being transparent: I am a Mary Kay Andrews fan. Her books got me back into reading a few years ago. I love her light hearted, fun summer reads. They are always an automatic pre-order for me. The first book I read for the summer break.
Summers at the Saint pulled me in immediately. I loved the characters. The multiple perspectives always adds so much for me. I am ready to book a vacation for my family at the Saint. It sounds perfect!
The mystery aspect of MKA books are always light, but have a great twist. This one was no different.
Thank you to Mark Kay Andrews, NetGalley, and St Martin’s Press for the ARC. It was a delight to read and a pleasure to write a review. I know this book is going to do so well this spring and summer!

You always know what you're getting with a Mary Kay Andrews book, and that's a good thing! A well-written family story that captures your interest with fascinating characters and wonderful place descriptions. These books are my "comfort food," and Summers at the Saint does not disappoint!
Traci Eddings came from "the wrong side of the tracks," but her life changed forever when she met and fell in love with an heir to the St. Cecelia resort. After his tragic and untimely death, Traci is left to run the hotel on her own, with lots of pitfalls and struggles along the way.
As always, Mary Kay Andrews does a spectacular job of bringing her setting to life--I wish the Saint was a real place that I could go to! Her characters are well-rounded and believable, and there's plenty of action to hold your interest. Another stellar effort!
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review!

I just finished reading a Netgalley ARC of Summers At The Saint by Mary Kay Andrews, one of my favorite authors! Summers At The Saint is a very suspenseful, enjoyable summer mystery full of romantic escapades, with family betrayals and long buried secrets of a child's drowning, a secret birth years ago, and an undetermined accident or homicidal death. I was able to escape these cold winter days reading about a summer resort known as "The Saint" being restored by Traci Eddings, the owner. What amazing characters, beautiful settings, and great storyline Mary Kay Andrews produces in her new book, Summers At The Saint which is being released on May 7, 2024!

Traci and her best friend Shannon grew up as townies in the shadow of The Saint Cecelia, an exclusive beach resort located on the shores of coastal south Georgia. A tragic accident led to the demise of their friendship. Twenty years later, Traci is now CEO of The Saint, mourning the death of her husband, and struggling to keep the resort afloat in the post-pandemic world.
Filled with a cast of young staffers from various backgrounds mixed with a heavy dose of family drama, the story unfolds in a beautifully described setting. The Saint is based on generations of tradition, and has seen its share of scandal. This story is part mystery, part romance, and ALL about the drama. When everyone is looking out for their own interests, it's hard to know who to trust. "Summers at The Saint" is deliciously binge-worthy and will be in everyone's beach bag this summer.

I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
I really enjoyed this breezy, summer book. I have read other books by this author, but this was my favorite.

It isn't summer without a new Mary Kay Andrews book and Summers At The Saint is here! I couldn't put this one down! So many twists and turns with this eclectic group of characters. Traci, Parrish, Garrett, KJ and Felice are ready for the summer crowd at the Saint but it won't be what they anticipate!

I loved this so much! I haven’t found a Mary Kay Andrew’s book I haven’t loved.
It gives me all the vibes when I read.

Thank you to the publisher for providing me with an advance copy of this book.
Summers at the Saint is another solid addition to Mary Kay Andrew’s’ collection of books. As always, her characters are fantastic and her setting makes me want to jump in the car and start driving southeast.
All that said, this was a hard review for me, for… reasons. While the characters were great, as usual, it felt like maybe in this particular book there were too many of them. I felt like they could’ve been a bit more flashed out or we could have gotten more backstory that would’ve endeared the reader to them more. In particular, Traci and Felice. There’s a lot of telling the reader about these two (especially Felice), and not a lot of showing. Not a lot of depth.
On the other hand, for reasons I won’t go into detail about in this review so as to avoid spoilers, I think that this book is still one of her best in terms of her skill as a writer, and her ability to create characters that the reader cares about.
I went back-and-forth on the star rating for this book and I’m landing on four stars because it’s funny and tragic and interesting. Could it have been better? Of course! But it’s still good enough that it’s going to be one I recommend to family and friends as a great summer beach read this year.

I thought this was going to be a light summer beachy read but it was definitely more of a mystery than romance. It was a little hard to keep all the characters straight but overall I enjoyed it.

3 Reasons to Read...
1. Lots of characters
2. Multiple Mysteries
3. Luxe Hotel Setting
Happy Reading!

I’m so sad I didn’t love this book. I have really enjoyed Mary Kay Andrew’s books and this one was a total let down for me.
Don’t let this cover fool you! It is NOT a cozy beach read at all. The cover is stunning the setting is amazing but nope, it was not what I was hoping for.
There is sooo much going on in this book. Sooo many characters, so many story lines. So much drama. It was one thing after another. It took me 10 days to read this which for me is ridiculously long. I normally run through a book in 2-3 days. I just didn’t have the desire to pick this one up. I couldn’t get it over with fast enough but really wanted to give it a fair shot and finish it.
I did enjoy this twist towards the end but I just feel like it was a wasted setting for it. I still love Andrew’s books though and will continue to read!
Thank you to NetGalley and St Martin’s Press for the opportunity to read this book early.
This book is released May 7th, 2024.

Summers At The Saint was only my second book by the author and I’m so glad I had the chance to read this one. The plot was good, the characters both likable and others not so likeable (because they are well written bad guys!).
I thought I understood how the book would end but there were a couple of twists I didn’t see coming. Overall, a easy and quick read that was enjoyable.

I enjoyed Summers at the Saint very much. Good mystery and family drama. Recommend this book to anyone that likes a cozy mystery.

Summers at the Saint
is a both a heartbreaking and heartwarming family saga. Mary Kay Andrews yet again tells an incredible story . This tale of love and loss will make you laugh and cry.
The Saint is a beach resort and country club with a fancy restaurant that has been catering to summer people in Bonaventure on a private island in Georgia since it was founded in the roaring 20s.
Saint CEO Traci Eddings, the widow of Hoke Eddings for the last four years after (they were married for twelve )he was killed in a plane crash. His grandfather was the founder of the Saint Cecelia.
Keeping the resort profitable has been difficult lately and when her chef and his wife, the guest relations manager take off for a higher paying opportunity, she hires a young chef new to the area with delicious ideas and good references. Traci also asks her niece Parrish to postpone a final semester abroad in her hospitality major to take the helm of the guest relations desk.
Traci also has a dorm built that both women live in along with a new waitress, Livvy; Garrett, the head waiter, and a young golf shop employee KJ,who flunked out of Wake Forest foisted on her by her brother-in-law.
Livvy’s mother Shannon used to be best friends until they were both lifeguards at the Saint pool in the late teens when a little boy Hudson drowned. Shannon was wrongly fired. Traci tried to object but was ignored and she met Hoke around that time.
They all help at the summer Beach Bash attended by 450 paying guests, back for the first time since the pandemic. Afterwards, the young kids went to a party on the beach at a place called the Shack.
The next morning Parrish didn’t show up for a breakfast with Traci and her phone went to voicemail, unlike her. After an extensive search, involving security, her body was found down a ravine behind the shack. And after an autopsy and testing, fentanyl was found in her system, and the authorities commenced a murder investigation.
There’s also Whelan who comes to the area looking into what really happened when his younger brother Hudson drowned years ago.
The story is even more complicated and better and better the more you read. There’s lots of characters you’ll love and others you’ll hate. Plenty of secrets and lies. It’s a mystery combined with women’s fiction. I highly recommend this new novel.

Mary Kay Andrews brings us to The Saint, a longstanding resort located off the coast of Georgia. The Eddings family has owned the resort for decades and after the pandemic, is struggling to make it back to the powerhouse resort it used to be. Traci is doing her best to retain and hire the best staff her budget will allow, while bringing back all the guest from years past. It is no easy task. Every time she turns around there seems to be a new obstacle to overcome and it usually costs her more money that she doesn't have. As she unknowingly gets closer to the truth, the unexpected worst things happen. How will The Saint and Traci ever recover from the tragedy?
I have read a few Mary Kay Andrews books over the years and I am always entertained. Her writing is well written and easy to follow. Short chapters are nice and easy to see whose point of view the chapter is coming from. I will always recommend Mary Kay Andrews to anyone who reads women's fiction and will always be happy to read any of her work, new or old. This will be a great summer beach read for 2024!! Special thanks to NetGalley, Mary Kay Andrews, and St. Martin's Press for the advanced digital copy in exchange for my honest opinion. 4.5 stars for me!
#SummersattheSaint #NetGalley

This book deal with multiple losses and attempted murders which I wasn't aware off when I began reading. The books is good but its heavy . She's a widower of hotelier and is having difficulty with hiring post pandemic. She brings in a number of new staffers only for things to unravel.
Pandemic is not discussed other then recovering from pandemic impact on service industry.
*******************I received an ARC for mt honest opinion from NetGalley.************************

While I enjoyed this book, it wasn't my favorite from this author. I had trouble staying interested in the book, but that might have been due to pace. I have read just about every book from Mary Kay Andrews, and will definitely continue to.
