I was initially interest because of the description and the cover of the book itself. However, the poetry is in the Rupi Kaur style which I personally am not a fan of. I feel like the poet was trying to heavily replicate instagram/tumblr poets and didn’t develop a style of their own which I would have liked to see as I felt there were interesting themes. Overall, there is room for improvement and the style of poetry is not necessarily bad altogether just not stylistically developed.

I adore how the person's poetry is so distinctive and intimate. It might hurt. It might be upbeat. It could be enquiring. but it was all so beautifly written and easy to connect too. will definatly be recomending!

This poetry collection exudes a theme of love, with the author expressing admiration and yearning for their beloved in unique ways throughout the pages. The work features passages that vividly depict various images, utilizing interesting metaphors, albeit with some recurring themes. Notably, the cosmic and summer imagery, as well as depictions of cityscapes and wineries, Fortunately, the coherence throughout the book prevents it from becoming monotonous.

Regrettably, the initial pages fail to capture its own strength with its two-word "poem." In another instance, page 44 contained a mere four lines, and page 46 only three. This collection would have benefited from appropriate length and the inclusion of proper titles.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing the eARC in exchange for this review.

These poem tells a love story with deep emotions and affections, lots of metaphors used which I liked. However, it wasn't as gripping so I rated it average.

Thank you net galley for this advanced arc!

This book illustrates the desire, frenzy, frustration, and all-consuming nature of passionate love. The lovely fragmented structure is a telling representation of the writer’s relationship to the written word. I enjoyed this quick read and finished it in one gulp. A bit of tighter editing could’ve made the sentiment shine all the brighter.

I love poetry and this year my goal is to read at least one collection/book per month and the sensuality of the prose here made me wonder why I have never come across anyone speak of love, intimacy, longing, despair, hope like the author does. Who likens their love to the age of earth? Who talks of their heart breaking to pieces to be scattered all over time, over centuries?
This was a beautiful , short and moving collection. I will admit my heart was swayed.
Thanks Netgalley for the eARC.

Thanks to netgalley and the author for this free book to review. I enjoyed this book of poetry - stunning imagery, but I must admit it isn’t my favourite poetry I’ve ever read, so 3 stars. Would definitely read more from this author in the future though!

3.5 stars

i have been on a poetry reading spree and i liked this collection of poems. the style of the poems wasn’t really my cup of tea, but i still enjoyed it. my favorite parts were the dedication and this line:

“Our love has wrinkles
as old as the Earth.”

When I saw this on NetGalley I just knew I had to read it! Mikheyev has a beautiful way of describing things that I was just captivated by the start. That being said, I don't think that this is the right collection of poetry for me because I had trouble connecting to it, but it was still amazing.

Thank you to NetGalley and the author for an eARC.

It was good for modern day poetry. These days that’s as good as it’s going to be when it comes to poetry.
